Even though peace negotiations come and go, and daily we hear bad news in headlines and articles concerning Israel, the valuable pearls of what God is doing in Israel is news that we must seek out. This prayer letter which has been published weekly since August 2001 focuses on what God is doing in Israel – and believe me, it is a far more impacting story than all the headlines that have come and gone over the past 13 years.

people in the international Church will get their eyes off of what the enemy is
doing in continual threats to Israel, and re-focus on God’s answer. This Body of Messiah that is advancing the
kingdom of Yeshua in Israel is the blessing God has hidden in the Land.

From the Revive Israel team we have a great
report from Cody and Liat Archer’s ministry trip in Denmark where they spoke at
the national Aglow conference on restoring the kingdom to Israel and the
restoration of all things. “At
the end of one of the messages a woman's knee cap was instantly healed after I
had received a word of knowledge for this. On the last night both of us spoke
about the need for godly fathers and mothers to equip and release the next
generation.” These signs shall follow them that believe!
Revive also sends a reminder to keep June 3 on your calendar for the 4th
annual Shavuot (Pentecost) prayer gathering that will stream live from
Jerusalem. You will need to register to

Asher Intrater also gives another of his excellent teachings, The "Israel Land" Question
Howard Bass of the Beer Sheva congregation has compiled and posted some
important historic dates and years, connected
with Israel, the Church, and the Nations, that are worth thinking and praying
about.
Howard and Randi will head to Switzerland late in the week to celebrate with the Community of Reconciliation’s 25th anniversary. Under the leadership of Marcel Rebiai and his wife, Regula, Howard writes: “They have done much in serving the Body of Messiah here, and in their outreaches to Jews and to Arabs. Please pray for favor for Marcel and his family in their status in the country.”

Bass also brings our attention to an important conference at Christ
Church in the Old City Jerusalem which begins today and brings together
believers “from backgrounds which have been hostile towards Israel and the
believers in Yeshua, but who have had life-changing encounters with the living
God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob.”
The conference is called the Crossroads Conference.
Our friend Martin in Jerusalem fills in a little more detail on the Crossroads
Conference that is made ud of more than 70 delegates from Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Lebanon, Israel, Iraq, the
Palestinian Authority, Cyprus, Armenia, Turkey, Europe and North America. They are seeking to gather with their Israeli
brothers and sisters in Jerusalem itself to worship and seek the Lord and to
dialogue for the purpose of reconciliation and unity in the Holy Spirit. For security and venue reasons, attendance at
the conference was by invitation only, and most of the meetings are closed to
the general public. To see an extensive

Evan’s two colleagues, Lev and Ira, recently
organized an excursion to Jerusalem with a full bus-load of ‘over-60’s. A
local Messianic tour guide spent the day with them on the ‘Jesus trail’ and for
many (including several non-believers) this was their first encounter in the
Holy City. We are realizing more and more how important it is to reach out and
include our non-believing friends in our programs. Please pray that this
‘Kingdom mind-set’ becomes an inseparable part of who we are.
The Thomas’ write: For over 25 years we (Evan
and Maala) have been deeply involved in reconciliation ministries, particularly between the Israeli and Palestinian
followers of Yeshua. It has been an onerous but blessed calling that has borne
much fruit. This year, after a lot of encouragement to be more transparent
about what we believe regarding several key issues, we opened an internet
dialogue site with Musalaha (our
reconciliation ministry). Once we had identified ‘the key questions’ being broadly
asked, we worked intensively as board and staff members to come up with formal
responses that we could all ‘live with’. You can only begin to imagine what a
task that was as a group of highly opinionated Israeli Messianic and Arab
Palestinian Christian Believers! Nevertheless, after much spirited debate we
produced statements that already are proving to be very helpful for many. We have linked these questions and answers also for your
interest and understanding of the issues involved.
The Kfar Saba Kehilat Hamaayan congregation headed by Tony and Orna
Sperandeo (and where our friend Sally Shiff heads intercessory prayer), has a
great opportunity to expand in their congregational location. They need our prayer and financial support to
take advantage of an offer to buy the basement and 2 rooms of their building –
2153 square feet that will allow them to expand their youth ministry and
distribution center for the community needs.

Israel Pochtar in the Ashdod Beit Hallel congregation reports that they
spent Israel Independence Day by taking “by taking
250 non-believers to tour some biblical sites in Jerusalem and then for a
special celebration outreach event hosted by Sid Roth and his tour. What a
powerful night! People heard the gospel, were prayed over and invited to
receive Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah as their Lord and Savior. Many stood up to
pray the prayer of salvation, people were touched and healed and we continue
receiving reports from people who were touched by God and are receiving their miracles.”
They also held a 2nd regional youth
conference at their congregation on Israel’s Independence Day that brought
together 100 teens and young people from all over southern Israel. Next up they have an ALPHA course (seekers and
new believers) starting on May 26th for about 150-200 people. Your prayers and support gifts appreciated
for this ministry that is really pressing in to reach people with the good

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the
tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli
believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:
- Pray for Messianic leader Marcel Rebiai of Shemen Sasson congregation in Jerusalem as he recovers from major back surgery.
- Brian Slater’s wife Racheli According to her recent doctor visit, her bone fusion is moving forward, however she is still having regular terrible pain.
- Shlomy Abramov of AwakeIsrael asks continued prayer for his wife Miram The doctors say it will be summer before Miriam is healed completely, 6 mo. In total.
- Arni & Yonit Klein of Emmaus Way request prayers for staff in the U.S. (Becky and Keith) and in Germany (Hannah) as they heal from extremely serious injuries received in accidents.
- Four elder ministry leaders in Israel, are dealing with Parkinson’s which is a neurological syndrome. Pray for them each to be able to continue to live normal lives, and for the hand of the LORD to bless them with healing
- Please pray for the wife of Ariel Ben David, who leads an Eilat Congregation, and also for his worship leader, both of whom were recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
- Pray for Ami Ortiz for ongoing issues from the Purim 2008 bomb blast – all this time later there are still painful procedures, lack of recognition from the government of this terror victim status.
- Guy Cohen of Harvest of Asher asks for continued prayer for Marlene’s physical healing.

Mount Zion
The Jerusalem Post editorial expresses concern about freedom of religious expression at the building on Mount Zion that houses the Room of the Last Supper, David's Tomb and an Ottoman-era mosque, in light of increased tension surrounding the sight in anticipation of Pope Francis's forthcoming visit.The editor states: "Mount Zion gives Israel a unique opportunity to ensure freedom of religious expression for Christians, Muslims and Jews," and calls on Israeli officials to "take a more a proactive role in maintaining law and order." The editor concludes: "Police presence must be increased and clear rules for prayer times must be enforced. No religious group should be allowed to intimidate another."
The religious wrestling for dominion over Mount Zion is spiritual, even though it is a temporal geographic location. God has always had plans for this piece of dirt on the earth and those plans for the literal geographic location of the spiritual kingdom of Mount Zion is one of the most pregnant revelations the Church is yet to comprehend.
When I read the above in a Ministry of Foreign Affairs Summary of
Editorials in the Hebrew Press, a spiritual seed popped to life. It was a seed that had been planted after
years of exposure to Asher Intrater’s teachings about the return of Yeshua to
Jerusalem, as well as a recent comment
in the preaching of his ministry associate, Eddie Santoro, a couple of Shabbat’s
ago in Arlington, Texas. I wrote:
Many Christians have made the mistake of thinking that Mount Zion is merely a spiritual term, rather than a geographic location. This is because of misinterpreting the big idea expressed in Hebrews 12 of a heavenly Jerusalem coming down on Mt Sion (Zion) which is Jerusalem.
What is happening there is the fulfillment of what Paul talks about in Romans 9-11, as the salvation of "all Israel" brings heavenly Jerusalem down to reign on Mt Zion - currently occupied by the Muslim usurper of the mountain that God Himself chose to place His Name and where the Bible declares Yeshua/Jesus will return to rule from.
The mistake is to think that the writer of Hebrews is dismissing a geographical place of reign for the Kingdom of the LORD, and making Mt Zion into an entirely spiritual concept. No. The distinction is that the writer is saying that a spiritual transformation is coming in Israel and when it does it will displace the religious powers that have ruled over that mountain and that city of Jerusalem. When people are turned to the LORD, then the spiritual atmosphere over their geographical location actually changes!
That is what the writer of Hebrews is saying - a spiritual transformation is coming, and this is what we all have been called to. We are not called to a building either the religious mosque that currently sits on Mt. Zion nor to the temple that Jews want to restore there; but we are called to assist in the spiritual building – the transformation of Israel into the kingdom of the LORD. That is what is going to transform Jerusalem as all Israel shall be saved. Yeshua said He would not return until Israelis cried out saying, Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.
Mt Zion is the spiritual kingdom coming down from Heaven to a specific geographical location. When Israel has entered the spiritual kingdom in a national sense, this will release the return of the Jesus.
Lest anyone misunderstand, my interest here is not hurrying Jesus’ return to earth – my emphasis is on restoring Israel’s Hope to Israelis. That hope is the Messiah Yeshua. By Israel’s recognition of Yeshua as the Messiah, there is a mighty release of “life from the dead” that will flow out to benefit all the nations. When Yeshua is recognized in a person, life begins to flow out from that person. How much more when the nation first chosen by God is finally able to recognize their own Messiah?
Do you realize what a testimony to some who have doubted in the nations when they see Israel who has been anti-christ for 2,000 years beginning to spiritually awaken to that man as the promised Messiah? It’s a powerful testimony.
