With as much chaos and uncertainty that is swirling in our world today – both in Israel and in the nations – we all have a great need for our security to be firmly planted in trusting the LORD. No matter what lies ahead, we reside in the spiritual “land of Goshen” with the Blood of the Lamb of God on the doorposts of our hearts.

Pray for all of the parts of the Body of Messiah in all parts of the world to lift up their eyes toward Yeshua and trust in the God who has brought us out of our spiritual Egypts and planted us at entrance of the Promised Land – that we will overcome and possess the our land.

Continue to pray for the One New Man reconciliation of the Jewish and Gentile parts of the Body to Messiah – in spirit and in truth. One of the manifestations of that oneness is the acceptance of the other in the uniqueness of God’s calling upon them, similar in nature to man and woman in Him – distinctively different, yet spiritually equal.

One of the manifestations that One New Man reconciliation is occurring is evident during the holy-day seasons – when both sides respect the observance and hallowing of our Savior. Pray for a new level of respect to emerge between the Jewish and Gentile parts of the Body of Messiah.

For many Christians, the Passover is a prophetic picture that has already been fulfilled and has therefore no more usefulness. But for the Jewish people the Passover prophetic picture is just beginning to speak to eyes and ears that are being spiritually opened by God to see His Son. This makes Passover a NOW WORD of PROPHECY!

Pray for the opening of eyes and ears throughout Israel as the Father is giving Israel a heart to discern His Son. It may not look like anything has changed – but things have changed! There is a new openness to the Truth of Yeshua that is releasing new life. Pray for those hearts being prepared now to receive the Truth.

What happens in Israel, doesn’t stay in Israel. It is a spiritual truth that the things Israel has had to battle for its very existence, eventually becomes the battle we all begin to experience along with them. Example: The fight against Islamist terrorism. Mosques, Minarets & Military Academies, from a ministry in Samaria shares an insight into the multiplying of mosques and minarets – what is being cloaked under the façades of house of worship.

For the Israeli ministries, the Passover season is a busy time indeed with all the usual holiday preparations, 3 weeks of kids out of school and part of the time in spiritual camps, plus many Christian visitors from all over the world. Pray for this time to be fruitful, and spiritually restorative. For every believer to in the place that they are standing under God’s full blessing in every realm of life.

For those that are experiencing upheaval and/or lack – for those who are experiencing the ‘pinch’ of the fellowship of His sufferings: These fiery trials are not a strange thing, but rather “as you are partakers of Messiah's sufferings” it is for the purpose of His glory being revealed in your life. The “spirit of glory and of God rests upon you!” Don’t look to the left or the right for He is bringing you to another level of glory.

Pray for those who need new places to live and those who need new income sources; pray for increase in income sources for individual believers and so for increase in ministry resources. Some ministries have been forced to shutter doors on valuable works among the Israeli Body. Pray for the Lord to move with provision for the visions.

Another ministry friend who is a highly valuable support to many of the Israeli ministries was robbed during Passover – the house broken into and all valuables (computers, phones, cash, jewelry, etc.) made off with. Pray for the thief to be caught and the restoration of losses to be 7-fold! Restoration of security system and sense of security that was violated by the home robbery.

Pray for those who are doing translations of Christian books into Hebrew for the care of believers in congregations all over Israel. This is a work that is a great ministry to the spiritual health of believers in Israel, as well as a source of income to individuals who are engaged in smaller ministry works in Israel. Pray for God’s blessing on all involved and much fruit to be borne.

All over Israel the Messianic congregations reached out in their communities to the poor and needy to provide Passover food vouchers for groceries to Holocaust survivors, lone soldiers, single moms, handicapped individuals and the underprivileged. In the Name of Yeshua the blessings flowed.

We continue to hear from Israel ministries that are either in Japan or have been recently – clearly God is doing something in this connection at this time. The Israeli Messianic ministries continue to hold a vision for becoming a blessing to the nations. Pray for this connection between Israeli Messianics & Japanese believers to bear fruit and multiply. Pray for a spiritual awakening in Japan.

Building projects continue for several Israeli ministries – the need is acute. Pray that God will stir investment in building the kingdom of His Son in Israel through helping Israeli pastors raise up much needed congregational infrastructures.

In different parts of the country, ministry leaders are experiencing both the favor of God among men and also the persecution of the Name of Yeshua – simultaneously! Pray for those who are finding their excellence brings them favor and backlash as their serve in their communities.

Thank God for the abundant spring rains that have fallen this year in Israel. The Land is bursting with color – thanks to the showers from Heaven. Thank you, Abba!

One Israeli ministry asks that we pray for the window of opportunity that has opened throughout the Middle East as nation after nation has been rocked with unrest and demands for regime change. In the chaos, only the LORD can truly answer to cry of hearts to be free – Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

Bless the many congregations in Israel who hold joint services with neighboring Arab congregations, and for hearts to show brotherly love one to another. The witness of these gatherings is the sure sign of Yeshua walking in their midst to heal and reconcile former enemies. Thank you LORD!

Pray for Israelis living in the south to be protected from missiles being fired from Gaza. There is never a time that Israel can relax from a ready-for-war mode, but with the unrest throughout the Middle East, there are many factions on all sides ready to vent their hostile desires on the people of Israel. Pray for God’s restraining and protective hand. Pray for wisdom in Israel’s government & security forces.

One humanitarian group that is operated by a Messianic believer reports that they have been able to increase their outreach to the needy in a city hard hit by Gaza missiles. They are also keeping their “Family Bomb-Shelter Project” in high priority distributing shelter boxes.

Pray about where to invest your generosity towards Israel – there is no type of ministry that indigenous believers are not doing among their communities.

Speak comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins. Isaiah 40:2

For your shame you shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them. Isaiah 61:6

Though the chastisement of Israel for her sins has been double, according to the word of the Lord, so is the blessing to those Israelis who have placed faith in Yeshua to ultimately be experienced in the double as well.

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

The Hebrew word for harvest is katzir, it is also the name of the Israeli Messianic camps held for the youth several times each year. As we write this the 10th annual Katzir Passover camp is in progress and the importance of these spiritual gatherings for the teens of believing families cannot be over-emphasized. Please pray for great and lasting spiritual fruit to be produced.

The theme for this gathering is spiritual renewal based on 2 Chronicles 29-31. Pray for them to embrace fully the understanding that “in these unsure times of change, faith in Yeshua is the very most relevant outlook they could possibly embrace as life's foundation.”

The Beckford’s have had 2 court hearings this week and another one on Thursday. In the first two, the cases went well; in the last they are very concerned about a judge who has said if they do not cop a guilty plea they will be sorry. On principle, they cannot plead guilty to a false assault accusation. Pray for the judge to relent to the truth and this case be settled without false imprisonment of Eddie.

“The truth at the bottom of all these trials (literal court trials!) is the fact that the Haredim (ultra-Orthodox) are persecuting the believers in Israel.” Many have been critical of the Beckford’s for all the troubles against them. It is patently unfair to blame the victim and the accusers should be ashamed. We can be adult and face up to the truth of religious persecution in Israel without falling into the trap of it stirring Christian anti-Semitism. Let’s get real on this issue at long last!

Despite the house arrest for 2 ½ years, the work of the Beckford’s Bible shop & chess club continues with fruit. A Muslim girl recently accepted the Lord and another one of their formerly Muslim women has been given a bold spirit to witness about Yeshua! The Gospel cannot be chained.

Yeshua Israel Ministries in Jerusalem are often the target of bad-mouthing from anti-Messiah sources in Israel. They have written a message Christians ought to read playing off of the phrase that has surfaced in the public consciousness, the Muslim Brotherhood. The Ferguson’s write about The Jewish Brotherhood. It is time Israel-supporting Christians begin to understand the truth parallels.

Praise God for the awe-inspiring photos of religious-terror victim, Ami Ortiz, playing basketball last month! Wow! This time in 2008 he was lying on the Ortiz kitchen floor barely hanging on to life after opening the bomb-laden Purim basket Yaacov Teitel placed there. Now Ami is flying high ‘dunking it’ on the basketball court. All praise to God for the miracle that is Ami Ortiz!

Once again the courts have delayed the mental fitness hearings for Jack Teitel from April 5th now postponed until May 23, 2011. No explanation given. This is of the utmost concern for prayer – for if Teitel is not held accountable for his hate crimes, it will embolden other of ‘the Jewish Brotherhood’ to similar acts against believers, Arabs, and others they deem less human than themselves.

With the Passover season upon us, there are many opportunities for Israeli ministries from north to south and east to west to share the Good News of Yeshua, with the powerful accompanying testimony of their lives. It is not that our lives are perfect, but that our righteousness is of Him which gives us peace that by-passes understanding in the midst of our storms.

Pray in agreement with those Israeli ministries who are believing for “a surge of salvations this Spring” and who are training their congregants for the work of the ministry.

Mazal tov to the Kehilat HaCarmel who are celebrating their 20th Anniversary of ministry on Mt Carmel in June. In May the congregation will also hold their 4th annual Mt Carmel Convocation. This congregation is in the town where the horrific fire broke out a few months ago. Their building was spared by the hand of God and photos with fire leaping behind the building are proof of God’s mercy.

Revive-Israel reports the Good News from Fukushima, Japan – in the midst of triple disasters, the city of Iwaki may be the break out point for revival for Japan.

One believer son of a Messianic ministry is enduring months of persecuted by four Orthodox soldiers in his unit. Pray for “A” to have grace and for the Lord to turn the battle at the gate of authority. Pray for the persecuting religious soldiers to fall under the conviction of the Holy Spirit as Saul did on the road to Damascus.

Israelis are in many parts of the world, and what a blessing when even in New York an Israeli ministry can share the good news with an Israeli and usher that one into the Kingdom. As the Israeli’s wife wrote later, “He was so receptive to hearing and receiving the word from someone that shares his culture and Jewish belief as well.” This is key and why indigenous ministry is a necessity even in Israel. Because of Romans 11:11 Christians think the lessons of indigenous evangelism is suspended in Israel. That is just not true.

If you think this group is a monolithic mindset – think again. Read through the offerings and see where you find like kindred spirit – then become involved with the harvest through that ministry. Commit to seeing the plan of God fulfilled in Israel through our spiritual family.

Humanitarian aid to terror victims and those who suffer from the missile bombardments from Gaza is a not something that comes and goes from war to war, but is a seemlingly continuous need. The most recent missile attack landed on a school bus and one young man’s life is hanging in the balance. Please pray for Daniel …and pray about what you might be able to do in terms of humanitarian aid by believers.

Believers everywhere have troubles, but I am convinced that there is double-portion trouble on Israeli believers. I know many pooh-pooh that idea, but it has been my observation from close view that is the case. Isaiah 40:2 says it right out, and that is probably why the Lord counter-balances with this promise: “For your shame you shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” Isaiah 61:7

For my beloved friends in Israel who are now experiencing double trouble, I rejoice that the Lord’s plans for your future is double portions and that you shall possess this joy in your own land. For those who are being tossed off lands now, there is a possession that is yours coming that is double.

Eph 1:16-23 “I do not cease to give thanks for the Body of Messiah in Israel, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Messiah Yeshua, the Father of glory, may give to you and the unsaved Israeli Jews, Arabs, Bedouin and others, the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in His Messiah when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the whole congregation, which is His Body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”

The Body of Messiah in Israel is a precious gift – not only to their countrymen, but also to the release of harvest blessings worldwide. When we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, we are praying for those who are lifting up the Prince of Peace in Israel. When He is lifted up, He will draw all men to Himself.

Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel
KEY PRAYER POINTS FOR PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION

This week we begin with a breakthrough news program report on the illegal alignment against believers in Yeshua/Jesus in Israel. The alliance, reported by the Israeli equivalent of 60 Minutes, is between anti-missionary activists, Yad L’Achim, and the Interior Ministry which has jurisdiction over citizenship issues as well as visas for those who work for church organizations in the country. Access online by clicking the link above.

Because there is often backlash after significant breakthroughs, we ask for prayers covering the entire Body of Messiah in Israel – Jewish and Christian believers in the country.

Eddie Santoro also asks for prayer covering over the program producer, Noga, asking for her to be protected from all backlash. We would also include the Knesset Members who spoke up against the illegal persecutions violating religious freedom of Israeli citizens.

Pray for the Israeli public who have seen this program, who will see this program, and all who discuss or ponder it, to have any scales removed from their eyes to be able to see clearly and choose godly justice.

2 Thess 2:10 identifies that a love of the truth separates those who see and those who will not: “and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” Pray for Israelis with a love of the truth to be spiritually awakened by these issues.

Pray for those who are deceived, thinking they are doing God a favor by persecuting the Body in Israel. Yeshua identified the problem in Matthew 7:5, it is a hypocritical spirit. "Hypocrite! First remove the log from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.”

Pray for those in the Church worldwide to also be awakened to these things that are rising from the undercurrent of Israeli societal issues – to discern the way the Lord is moving among Israelis to come into agreement with Him in how He is moving to reveal His Son to the nation of Israel.

The first phase of this spiritual revealing appears to be acknowledging the godly truth that every person is given the freedom to choose what they believe – without being forced. The next phase will be for Israelis to comprehend that faith in Yeshua does not strip the believer of Jewish identity. Pray for the Body to move with the Holy Spirit as this phase comes more and more to the fore.

Pray for Calev Myers and others who have been very bold in the forefront of issues related to the religious freedoms. Those who are doing the most are also the most visible targets of hatred. Pray for the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the enemy, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every condemning tongue be judged by the Body of Messiah.

Pray for the Church to heighten discernment in the matter of their relations with Israelis. While it is good to do outreach to unsaved Israel, it should not be at the price of pretending there is not a saved Israel we neglect forming relationship with at the same time.

Israeli ministries have girded themselves for increasing opposition to their existence in Israel. They are as those who rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, with building tools in one hand and defensive swords in the other. They live in INTENSITY at all times. Pray for grace, and for the heavenly vision to be greater than the earthly hardships endured day by day.

Pray for an increase of those who will come alongside the call of Israeli ministries who are expanding their tents, to increase the care of those already within the tents of faith…and all those who are coming in. They are surely coming in an increasing flow of God revealing His Son throughout the Middle East.

Passover is coming. This year, instead of supporting Christian or un-saved Jewish groups to distribute Passover dinners, help Israeli ministries do that! There is almost no Israeli ministry that is not reaching out to provide for the needy, so WHY NOT BLESS IN THE NAME OF YESHUA/JESUS?

Sometimes the pressure to oust believers from their homes and ministry headquarters in Israel are very loud and boisterous; sometimes though the pressure is in a quiet undercurrent. Pray for those who are being ousted from homes – that God will reposition them in the place of His choosing: For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Pray for the surge of personal evangelism an Israeli ministry reports, also noting, “The gospel is not to be shared in words alone, but backed up by a real life testimony of integrity, moral courage, and service.”

Pray for an acknowledgment (respect and honoring) of the fruit of indigenous evangelism: “This is the kind of fruit that local Israelis can produce: real, relevant, personal, loving, less in cost and more effective than a foreign mission campaign. “

For every denomination or set of convictions of faith in the Church, there is a corresponding Israeli ministry doing the work of ministering the gospel to the unsaved. This is true among Messianic Jews and also among Arab Christians. BOTH are UNDERFUNDED by mission giving in the Church!!

Pray for the Christian Arab Baptist minister in Akko who often goes with personal salary because of the shortfall of funds. This is repeated so many times over among the believer ministries here that you have to ask, What the heck are the churches giving to in Israel?!

May 12th – 14th in Nazareth there will be the 100th year celebration of the Baptists presence in Israel. Pray for celebration of this milestone – for a great opening of the hearts of Arabs to Issa/Jesus, and for all the outreaches including new bookstores and internet cafes to reach more Arabs with the gospel.

Pray for all the believers who are serving in the IDF. Repeatedly we get good reports from their proud Israeli parents of how their children are being singled out with honors in the service of the nation. This excellence is a living testimony.

The Hands of Mercy operate a Tents of Victory – humanitarian aid to terror victims and to cities that are often bombarded by rockets from Gaza, like Sderot. Humanitarian aid cannot be overtly evangelistic, but it is better to fund believers doing these valuable humanitarian outreaches. Selah. “Blessed is he who considers the poor. The L-RD will deliver him in time of trouble. He will preserve and keep him alive...and he will be enriched upon the earth.” Psalms 41:1-2
