Please continue to pray the prayer strategy put forth in Rick Ridings posts over the past couple of weeks in Israel Prayer.  Life continues on in the Israeli ministries, but all Israelis are set on edge by the new reality from individual terror attacks out of the blue.

Arrows from Zion Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

I wanted to feature the Or B'Darki (Morning Star Fellowship) this week knowing how hard the battle has been on them in being able to complete and use their new facility.  As a minister in the US that I dearly love often says, One of the names the enemy is identified in scripture is the "dragon" because that's  one of his strategies against us - to 'drag on' the battles before to get to our promises.  Who has not experienced that?

Please pray for the Tiberias congregation to have breakthrough and final resolution of their facility process, as it has been dragging on to the point the congregational leader began to suffer physically from the stresses of it all. The latest setback a double burglary of the facility. Please let's do a focused targeting for breakthrough. To get more specific insight read the Ezagouri prayer letter inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary
From Revive Israel, Cody Archer continues on the theological claim that the disciples were misguided in asking Yeshua, "Lord, will You at this time restore the Kingdom to Israel?"  This is a fundamental understanding every Israel-supporting Christian needs: God's future faithfulness to Israel

Revive also shares a clip we are seeing from multiple Israeli Messianic ministries on Facebook as Israeli Arab television journalist Lucy Aharish courageously speaks up on the recent wave of terror attacks.  See the Revive Israel prayer requests inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Rachel and Gilad Netanel in Ein Karem have good news and good reports of their daily life of sharing the good news.  I won't go into the details in public forum, but encourage all to read their prayer letters to be not only encouraged about what's going on in Israel, but to encourage your own life purpose wherever you are.  We have tended to view evangelism in terms of a professional career rather than what we are doing in our daily lives.  Reading the Netanel prayer letters can change that viewpoint.

Just one portion of their account of being kicked out of a synagogue then later meeting a couple from that synagogue who were ashamed that the new rabbi had kicked them out. Rachel writes, "They want to go to the rabbi and tell him that this is not the way.  I explained to them that it would be good for them to read the Bible for themselves and there they will see that Yeshua is the Messiah and He came exactly as prophesied.   When we [Jews] were in exile, the Bible was translated into so many languages so that the entire world could come to know the Messiah.  That is why the Gentiles believe in Him and the Jews have been blinded until now."  That is an anointed explanation, my friends.  Read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Here is another Israeli ministry who finds opportunity to reach out everywhere the soles of her feet tread in the Land, Carolyn Hyde of Heart of God Ministries:  "Recently I was invited to minister in worship at the Yardenit, where many of you may have been baptized.  Before going up on the stage, I noticed a young man who looked rather lost so I asked him if he was OK.  Upon hearing his Hebrew accent, I asked him if he was a believer in Yeshua.  'I'm searching,' he answered.  He stayed and listened for the two hours of worship and afterwards I was able to give him one of our outreach booklets and speak with him."  Learn more of Carolyn and Richard's ministry in Israel and in the nations inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary and pray for them as they complete production of their new outreach video based on the first song on their Just Like Joseph CD

Katy Smith of the Sorko-Ram's Maoz Ministries writes a touching short piece that will help you understand what happened recently when a terror attack took place in the Central Bus Station in Beer Sheva:  "You see, people here are stressed and quite paranoid.  We look over our shoulder when there are close footsteps behind us on the street.  We look around everywhere we go to see that there are no suspicious-looking people around us... This fear of being the next victim of a rogue terrorist is real and it's crippling."  Read more of her insights and specific prayer requests for Israel and for the Maoz ministry inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

From our friend Sally Shiff, the prayer warrior and liaison in the HaMaayan (Wellspring) congregation in Kfar Saba, we have a report that came in prior to the pictures of flooding in their community that we are seeing in the news today.  Please pray for them and for all who are been touched by the flooding conditions.  Sally writes of the "Time of Hope & Change" that has been going on in the great uptick of terror attacks in Israel:  "Yeshua knew about our times and our sufferings then and knows now.  Through the Holy Spirit, Yeshua is with us, giving us the same peace and comfort He gave our ancestors. God is indeed the same yesterday, today and forever. With all this in mind, we take comfort that even though our security is challenged, Russia and Iran are at our borders, and the nations are turning against us in unprecedented numbers, but we put our trust and hope in His peace. We understand that these are just the "birth pains" of events yet to come."  Find the specific prayer requests from this congregation inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary including their need for prayer over the final paperwork to purchase the congregational bomb shelter (which will double as a youth center).

Israel Pochtar of Beit Hallel in Ashdod writes, "Despite the wave of terrorism that has struck Israel, many Jewish-Ukrainian refugees are still streaming into Israel from the war-torn Ukraine and are suddenly coming face to face with terrorism. We believe that it's of the utmost importance to not just provide these Jewish-Ukrainian refugees with food, bedding, and house-hold appliances as they start their new lives in Israel, but it's also very important to comfort and to encourage them. We at Voice of Judah Israel are ready and willing to act! In these difficult times of terrorism,  people are scared and humbled by the circumstances. This is the time when we as the body of Messiah should shine with the love of Yeshua, and should bring relief and comfort to these precious Jewish immigrants from the Ukraine."  Learn how you can help inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Did you know that "On an average, there have been about 20 to 30 attacks daily with only the major ones being reported" in the new wave of terror that has hit Israelis? That's the opening of Avi Mizrachi's call to prayer issued this week.  You can Read More here

Martin Sarvis continues to keep us informed on the terror attacks in Israel with background insight into the Temple Mount at the center of things.  Martin writes about US Sec of State Kerry's meetings over the issues:  "Kerry came out of the meeting with an announcement that Israel had agreed to 24/7 video surveillance on the Mountain.  This led to headlines which were irritating to Israelis—implying that Netanyahu had for the first time agreed that non-Jews will not be allowed to pray on the Mountain, and that the cameras would enforce this ban.  This is false and foolish—Israel has been enforcing the ban to be enforced all along, the Prime Minister repeatedly declaring himself in support of the 'status quo'.

"Violence on the Mountain has been the result of Muslims inciting their people to harass the non-Muslims who come to visit there, and false claims that Israel was implementing plans to destroy the mosque there.   Ironically, if the cameras are even allowed to be installed, they may in fact serve to grant proof to Israeli claims that the violence is being incited solely by the Muslims."   [Reading news reports this morning that Arabs are refusing cameras INSIDE the Al Aqsa mosque]    Read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Several members of the Arad Hebrew congregation, Hasdey Yeshua, were in the Beer Sheva Central Bus station when the terror attack occurred last week.  On mother and her two teenage children "were on their way home and just outside the station when they heard shots ring out. Victoria instinctively pushed her mother and the children against a wall and covered them with her body until it was clear that the danger had passed."  The family's picture appeared on the front page of a national newspaper, "The caption under the picture reads, 'Worried residents in the central bus station shortly after the attack.”

The congregation asks quite simply and humbly, "Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Also pray that there will be peace in Arad, Be’er Sheva and throughout the land. That is our one prayer request this month."

Howard Bass in Beer Sheva, writes about the conflicts that have broken out over the Temple Mount, "Today, most Jews everywhere are not thinking that some new temple should be built or that the Islamic Dome of the Rock should be destroyed. Although most Jews might agree that they should have the right to go up onto the mount, and even to be able to pray in some fashion up there, none of them are insisting on going into the Muslim mosque to do so!"

My friend Howard speaks the truth, although many in the Church might think some of his words are provocative, it does not take away from the truth of the matters at hand, such as, "The problem with all this, though, is that the Temple Mount is being/has been turned into a high place."  Read more of his explanation inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Howard also shares this photo taken with wife Randi as they drove down to a meeting in Eilat on Sunday as "The country was inundated with heavy rains, wind, hail, and havoc on Sonday. The first storm of the winter (the clocks were also turned back that same day to standard time) caught everybody by storm! Not that the rains weren't forecast, but the intensity of the weather was not." Bass writes about their Eilat drive, "It took us 3 1/2 extra hours because of flooding of the highway in the Arava, alongside the Jordanian border. "

Priority Prayer Focus Oct 21, 2015

Obviously the prayer priority this week continues to be the violent, brutal and deadly attacks by Palestinians on Israelis.  You will learn much insight by reading the prayer letters this week and I encouarge you to 'drill deep' into the Weekly Summary - print it out and read it as you would a magazine with articles that can deepen your understanding.

One of the most important points this week was brought to the fore by Howard Bass who emphasized how believers are not exempt from falling victim to these attacks!  A great case in point is the stabbing of a Dutch Christian woman who has lived in Jerusalem for 32 years fostering Arab children from difficult backgrounds in east Jerusalem.  One of the other ministry couples you read in these pages lives next door to this stabbing victim, and as Shira Sorko-Ram just shared on Facebook:  "The Body of Messianic believers here in Israel are praying for Marike's full recovery. We are agree that her preservation was supernatural.

You can read Marike's story in the Israeli newspaper Ynet:  Dutch victim of East Talpiot attack: I yelled 'Jesus, save me!'

Pray for the whole body of believers in Israel to be protected and preserved from harm, and please read the prayer strategy below which calls out for an silencing of the voices inciting the murderous acts we are seeing.

Arrows from Zion Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Last Friday, on their usual day to put out the Revive Israel prayer letter, Asher Intrater wrote about the massive wave of terror attacks that have been unfolding in Israel over the past few weeks.   Asher writes,
This new wave is a conceptual leap, primarily in two dimensions:
   1. From organized terrorist groups to social media mobilization
   2. From Palestinian civil rights to holiness of the Temple Mount."

" In the local competition between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas," he continues, "it seems that Abu Mazen wanted to gain ground in public opinion. So he came out with several blistering (and lying) accusations against Israel. These were centered on the Temple Mount issue, and were soon being sent out widely on social media. The response in social media called for every Muslim in Israel or Palestine to go out and stab Israelis."

In light of the terrible events in the terror attack in Beer Sheva a couple of days ago where an innocent bystander was mistaken for a terrorist and later died of his wounds, Asher's previous insight days before put that incident into perspective, as he wrote:

"The local Israelis and the security forces are so on alert that the terrorist events last only a few seconds before the people around jump up to neutralize the terrorist. It is causing an amazing sense of alertness everywhere, all the time, by all the people. At the slightest hint of an attack, people run TOWARD the incident to help out.

"On the other hand, since the terrorists are young and not part of an organized group, they pop out from everywhere. No place is safe; no moment relaxed; no situation protected; no person trusted. One news report is scarcely finished before the next attack occurs. The number of attacks is higher, and their location more widespread. This makes the defense against them almost impossible, despite heroic efforts by the security forces."

Without making excuses for the death of an innocent, it is easy to see how an incident like this can happen.  Which is why a major prayer strategy for silencing incitement is worth your time to open the attached DOCX Weekly Summary  to read all that Martin Sarvis in Jerusalem has sent us -a revival of the prayer strategy/vision from Rick Ridings in 2014 "Not Now!"  We are already seeing some of the other sources within leadership of both factions of Palestinians (Fatah and Hamas) being exposed.

Rick Ridings writes, "I Believe We Are to 'Re-Enforce' a 'Gag and Restraining Order' on Demonic Incitement. . . .As I was crying out to the Lord for revelation whether now was the time that 'timer' was finished, and that spirit allowed a greater freedom, I had new vision:  I saw that a demonic power had partially bent open the bars of the dungeon, and had succeeded in partially removing the gag over the dragon’s mouth.  The dragon was breathing out some fire, and thrashing with its tail, trying to break out of the dungeon.  Then I heard the Lord say we were to 're-enforce the gag and restraining' order.   As we proclaimed that, I saw two strong angels enter the dragon’s cell, and say 'Heel!!'.   Just like a trained dog, the dragon stopped thrashing and sat down.  The angels then put the gag back fully over its snout, and bent the bars straight, so that it could not escape. I would encourage you to join us to keep proclaiming this 'gag and restraining order' and 'Not Now!' until we have seen a fully calming-down of the situation, as occurred last year in November and December.

Continuing with what Asher wrote, " The propaganda against Israel is now focused on the Temple Mount. The tactic of blaming Israel for social injustice toward the Palestinians has lost impact, when Muslims are murdering one another by the tens of thousands in Syria, Iraq and Turkey. The only issue left that can inflame the masses is the 'sacredness' of the Al Aqsa mosque (built 1700 years after Solomon’s Temple on the same location).

"Jihad propaganda, reinforced by PA propaganda, is that Israel is invading the Mosque with their 'filthy feet.' All Israelis know this is untrue; yet these lies are repeated endlessly in the media. The Palestinians hear just the lies. Then some of the seemingly most sincere Arab youths, willing to sacrifice themselves for the honor of their 'holy place,' go out to stab any Jew in the area, since Jews are portrayed as demonic beings."

I will add, because so many Christians are reluctant to understand this, it is not helpful when Israeli traditionally religious fundamentalists, up the Temple Mount rhetoric either.  God is well able to take possession of the mountain He has chosen to place His Name and where Yeshua will reign from.  Israelis forcing possession of the Temple Mount is an idea for people unconcerned with the death toll.

As I mentioned in the prayer priority, Howard Bass brought home the point that the believers in Israel are not immune to falling victim to these terror attacks - probably because that point was brought home to his family as one of the terror attack occurred in the ground floor coffee shop in the building where his son-in-law works.   We are seeing many reports from the Israeli ministries of terror attacks in places they normally would have been, or extremely close to where they were.  We had this same experience in the first year of Israelprayer in 2002 during the second intifada and believe me - your prayers will make a difference in the safety of the believers!

Yet, life and ministry continues on. Bass tells of former Muslims who attended their services last Shabbat, delighted after two years to find out there were other believers in Beer Sheva.  Last week there was also the annual gathering of Jewish and Arab believers in northern Israel which is held to increase the fellowship of the whole body of faith in Israel.  During times like this when violence is occurring, the  believers in Israel especially desire your prayers for their unity in the LORD.

Israel Pochtar of Beit Hallel and Voice of Judah ministries also wants you to know that there is salvation in the midst of terror.  Israel shares the testimony of an Israeli young man who was raised in a religious background but fell into alcohol abuse. But his wife, whose friends were Messianic, came to faith too. He rejected her faith but when their 4-yr old son fell sick and doctors told them they might lose him, eventually the man agreed to let some of the Messianics come to the hospital to pray for the son.  You know the rest, the child began to improve and the father's heart was softened by the ongoing visits of the believers to pray.  Soon the father made his decision for Yeshua.  This is it, my friends. Israel is being saved, coming to the LORD Yeshua in much the same ways we have.  Is there not a cause to pray and support these laborers in the Lord's Israel harvest?

From Arab pastor Najeeb Atteih in Haifa, we are touched that he leads with a request for prayers for Israel because of all the violence.  This is a man who loves his people, and who loves Israelis too.  His son, Tino, serves the IDF.  Yes, such a thing happens!  Najeeb's prayer letter is full of news about the continuation of their kids summer camps into the school year - which gives them ministry to Arab kids in mostly Catholic homes.  In their book shop in Haifa they are also ministering to many Catholics, and other Arabs and Jews.

The highlight of Pastor Najeeb's prayer letter is his recounting of ministry in Sweden to many Arabs who have fled the Middle East.  There he visited with local Arab believers in Jesus, including "an Arab Assembly of people who had fled from the Middle East. We heard one brother who had belonged to Al Qaeda, and who had come to faith in Jesus."  You will be encouraged to read of the encounters Najeeb had while in Europe meeting with Arab refugees.  In their crisis, there are many God is calling out to know His Son.

From the Maoz Ministries of Ari & Shira Sorko-Ram, Katie Smith writes about the effect of the terrorism on life in Israel, "Israelis are frightened! People remain at home if they don't have to go anywhere. Those who have to take a bus, walk or ride a bike - carry with them improvised defense tools like umbrellas and even selfie-sticks and nunchucks (these three things were used in the last couple of days to disable terrorists).  I have to admit that even as a believer, knowing I have the Lord's protection, I was very conscious of my surroundings walking down the streets today - looking for anything suspicious just in case. It's not a good feeling. . . . .  There's also anger when it comes to the continual incitement by PA leaders, especially Hamas, to continue the attacks and frustration for the silence from the rest of the world."

Eddie Santoro, who even though he is taking his chemo and radiation has been continuing to file his prayer letters & reports, writes about the riots, "The rioters today were primarily young people who have been poisoned by the unending hate and lie filled campaigns that control the Palestinian internet. This generation is disillusioned with the PA, hates Israel and has no hope for the future, as their governing organization has done nothing to actually try and build a real nation. They have been overtaken by a spirit of hopelessness and hatred, victims of Palestinian Authority corruption and abuse which has stolen their dreams from them.

"We ask you to lift up the current situation in prayer for God's supernatural defense of this nation. Pray that our men, women and children would be protected. Pray that the government, the police and the army would have wisdom on the correct strategy and response. And above all, pray that He who guards Israel, who never sleeps nor slumbers will fulfill His word and his kingdom will be established in Jerusalem.  Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people and although much of the world hates this truth, we will see its destiny fulfilled and its enemies destroyed.  We thank you for your love and support during these most trying times."

Carolyn Hyde sent out an urgent request on the 13th about a warning her grandchildren's kindergarten had received on terror attacks involving Arab women dressed in long dresses from which they would pull knives out to kill children." Days later we heard of a terror attack that took place in exactly this method.  Carolyn writes, "Thank you for sharing this with other trusted intercessors.  We are not operating out of a spirit of fear and if you're called to come to Israel, this is a remarkable time to come as hearts are open like never before!  We truly thank you for standing with us during this season as we and others in the Body of Messiah continue to reach the lost with the love of our Messiah Yeshua.  For He alone will bring peace to this region."

From Kehila News Israel, which is a news and information portal of the community (kehila) of faith in Israel, is this article by Miriam Abramov of Awake Israel Ministries, Just a little while longer  |  A week’s review in Terror on Israel

Evan Thomas of the Netanya Beit Asaph congregation shares with us the heart so many of the ministries in Israel share:  "Please pray for us as Messianic Jewish and Arab Christian believers, that we would respond to the crisis in ways that honor God and demonstrate our call and commitment to Kingdom principles and to one another. Whatever challenges the nation also challenges our relationships. Faced with fear, anger, confusion and heartache it is common to retreat to our own national and ethnic groupings and see issues through the lens of a 'zero-sum mentality', where one side’s gain is the other side’s loss. Please pray that we would not abandon God’s calling on our lives; that we would love one another and allow His light to shine through us and that we would proactively search for ways to demonstrate our commitment to peace, fellowship and to one another."

Evan gives brief recounting of the Reconciliation Initiative training a new generation of leaders in reconciliation in Israel from Palestinian and Israeli families.  This was held in a Christian community in the Black Forest of Germany.  Read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary where you will also find an update on the congregational do-ings at Beit Asaph - including "two wonderful baptisms with four young adults boldly and publicly declaring their commitment to follow the Lord…we already have a list growing for our next baptism."

Evan writes, "Dear friends we so appreciate your support and prayers at this critical time. We cannot remember such a time of spiritual growth and development in Beit Asaph like this. With a steady number of people coming to faith and being baptized, and a renewed enthusiasm for ministry, especially among the younger generation, we are encouraged! However, the spiritual warfare is great! Our population centers are under a cloud of fear from the accelerating number of terror attacks over the past days.

"Coupled with this, we are facing increasing financial pressure as the cost of living continues to rise dramatically; most of our congregants earn minimum wages and many of our overseas support agencies are struggling too. Please pray with us with thanksgiving and intercession for our hurting nation, for both Jews and Arabs, as we are caught up in this new wave of violence."

Thank you for your prayers over these matters this week and every week. - Donna

Priority Prayer Focus Oct 14, 2015

Maybe many don't know because the news programs do not relay the terror going on in the streets of Israel by random stabbing attacks by Palestinians.  If you are on Facebook and have Israeli friends then you can hardly keep up with the latest reports.  This weekly prayer summary is full of requests from the ministries to pray over the situation. I will let their requests inform your prayers, but urge you to pray fervently that what the enemy has meant for evil, God will use to good for all His people.

This in at the last minute, please pray especially for the children:  "Kids at school in Israel today are being instructed not to have earphones in ears, look behind them, be aware and don't be on the phone but be alert around them. Parents say kids are really fearful now after this training at school today." from Miriam Abramov

Arrows from Zion Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Writing for Maoz Ministries, Katy Smith describes people starting a normal day to at some point striking Jewish people randomly in knifing attacks.  Who can fathom how terrorists are springing from their normal routine to go on a murderous rampage? She writes, "Israelis are outraged. Many are discouraged... scared... anxious... worried... You see, it's one thing to have a full-blown military operation with a known enemy that is contained in a certain area. It's quite another when you can't really foresee a "spontaneous" attack carried out by an individual who just woke up one morning and decided he's going to kill Jews because Allah told him to do so."

Continuing, "We are pleading with you to intercede for Israel every day, crying out to our merciful Father for His children. PRAY for protection for Israel. For civilians, soldiers and police officers. For our leaders and commanders. For the Land promised to the children of Jacob. PRAY for the Lord's army to thwart any attack that is being planned against us. Most of these acts are quite impossible to foresee, so we need divine intervention. PRAY for wisdom and courage for our leaders regarding a proper response to the uprising. We don't want to see casualties among the Palestinians, but the violence has to stop. PRAY for comfort for families who lost their loved ones in the recent attacks. PRAY against world pressure on Israel to stop defending herself.  We have been fighting for our survival for many years, and as a sovereign country we have the right to destroy our enemies."

Before flying to Greece to fill in a ministry commitment for Eddie Santoro who just began chemo and radiation treatments, Eitan Shishkoff of Tents of Mercy also asked for increased prayers over the situation:  "I usually do not emphasize such things. I seek to focus on what builds and blesses, what inspires and strengthens. Today my conscience is not content to bypass these altogether tragic events without comment."

Shishkoff writes encouragement to his fellow Israelis: "First, we must continue to live here in Israel - without fear or hesitation. Jews returning to live in Israel after 1800 years of exile is a miracle in itself. And that miracle is worth maintaining and celebrating, in defiance of the demonic opposition it has generated. The precious lives sacrificed call for renewed determination to make a vibrant, thriving life here in Eretz (Land of) Yisrael."

"Second, we are granted in the Scriptures the privilege of coming before Almighty God in prayer," Eitan writes. " I know that we must come to the Lord and access His mercy on many levels. The families who've lost treasured loved ones need mercy. The soldiers and police need protection and divine guidance to ensure the safety of Israel's people.  Arab Israelis and Palestinians need transforming encounters with Yeshua. The government decision-makers need uncommon wisdom in their policies.  And we, the disciples of Yeshua in the land, need His anointing, His love, and His boldness to reveal Him to His own nation."

Shishkoff's son-in-law, Avishalom continues with the increase of immigration to Israel from "Ukraine, France, USA, England, Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, and other countries (the rise in Aliyah is more than 40% higher than last year). It seems as Israel is facing this season of turmoil that many feel the call to Return Home. That is one encouraging piece of news in all of this!  We are privileged here at Tents of Mercy to be in a position to reach out to this group of people, to help address their needs as they are transplanted into the soil of the Holy Land. This transition, though a blessed opportunity, is one filled with emotional, physical and spiritual challenge."

Avishalom gives the prayer requests of the Tents of Mercy congregation inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary including this one: "Special Humanitarian Outreach Day on the 20th of October for distribution of basic home supplies for new immigrant families. Please pray for wisdom, logistics and a successful event."
Citing Isaiah 25:6, David Davis of the Carmel Assembly writes:  "What a glorious end-time vision the Lord gave the prophet Isaiah! Against a background of gloom, devastation and terror (see verse 5: 'the shouting of the terrifying ones shall be humbled') the Lord of Hosts (angelic armies) will make a feast of His presence, His abundance, His anointing and His Word."

Davis notes, "In his revelatory book Destined for the Throne, Paul Billheimer makes the following profound observation: "... The secret of success in overcoming Satan and qualifying for the throne is a massive program of effective prayer.  The secret of effective prayer is a massive program of praise” (p. 18).  This is what we are endeavoring to build on Mount Carmel – with more praise, more prayer, more proclamation." From the Adonai Roi congregation and Dugit Ministries, Avi Mizrachi, rejoicing before the Lord in the face of the terror threat is also on this leader's heart. Avi writes, "Just before Rosh Hashanah, we had 3 days of low visibility as a giant sand cloud from Syria covered our whole country.  This is the first time that I know of that such a cloud has come to us from the North rather than from the East (Jordan) or the Sahara Desert in the South.  However, on the day of the new year, the cloud dissipated and we were able to see the clear blue sky as we celebrated!"

Then continuing he writes, "Last Shabbat we celebrated Simchat Torah, the last day of Succot (Feast of Tabernacles) which is the great Hosanna and rejoicing over the Torah.  We finished the yearly reading of the scriptures and next Shabbat we start from Genesis 1.  It was encouraging to see believers from all over the world who came to rejoice and celebrate with us in Tel Aviv, Israel!"

Do you see a thread here?  No matter how dark and tumultuous the times, the people of God still have good reason to rejoice - for the future belongs to those who are in God's will and doing God's will.  The saying goes that Israel is the canary in coal mine, but in these cases the 'canary' are believers in the goodness of God through Messiah and these canaries are singing with joy.  Pray for the whole Body in Israel to be able to enter into the rest of the LORD and put on a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness that it blanketing the Land in the natural.  See more of Avi Mizrachi's prayer letter and requests inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Ruth Nessim still has not begun the "biological treatment" for the cancer of the Lymph glands detected by doctors in June, who said it was "treatable and marginal."  Still - pray that Ruth's treatment start sooner rather than later, and that it not be delayed overlong.  Ruth is set to start treatments on Oct 18th.  She gives a full report of her activities with the Hebrew and Arab congregations she is associated with - always encouraging to see this senior lady always about the Father's business.

Ruth compares the upsurge of violence in Israel with the "brutality and insane mass killings continue on a daily basis" in the nations surrounding Israel. "We have been praying for some time as to how we can help some of the refugees in Syria and Jordan, and other places. Thank God, our Pastor Efraim takes this very seriously, and has been out to Jordan to visit, Last week Efraim went out to Turkey with Najeeb and Ragai, (a Jordanian living in Israel), to reach the Kurdish refugees who are leaving Islam by the droves, and we know they had a good time, but no details yet. Can we ask for your prayers for this? I personally am very excited about the prospect. As in the midst of this horrific war, many Moslems are coming to faith."

Ruth has a new children's book hot off the presses:  "My book Esther and Ruth, beautifully illustrated by Jeanne Norton, and for children of 4-7 or 8 years, arrived today, and is ready for distribution. It may be obtained from CJFM Ministries in San Antonio, or from me. I do not know the exact price, but it is about $10 or 7 pounds Sterling!"

From Beer Sheva Howard Bass writes, "The first rain has come (the yoreh in Hebrew). It came right on time, meaning after Succot/Feast of Booths. And, thankfully, it was a good first rain, preparing the ground for more rain to come and seeds to be planted. And it was also steady and long enough to wash away all the heavy dust from the haboob a month ago that was still all over everything."

This week a photograph that Howard sent out several years ago about this time popped up on my computer and it seems so fitting for such a stressful time as this.  No matter how distressing the current events, we know that as we look out over the spiritual landscape in Israel and the Middle East, that we can see what Yeshua said we could see:  "Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest."

Howard has many other important points in the prayer letter this week, but I want to zero in on one because I am noticing that in times of distress in Israel, that many Christians are more inclined toward sending donations through sources like Rabbi Eckstein's IFCJ rather than the believer ministries in Israel, or sharing end time "prophecies" from unsaved  Kabbalist mystical rabbis, instead of true words of the Lord of the Israeli prophets and ministers.  When the heat is on, the Christians should not be running to the unsaved sources!

So, in writing about the tensions that have sprung out of an Islamic pretext over the Temple Mount, Howard  writes, "They deny any Jewish Israeli history there, which, of course, stirs up the emotions of the Jewish people whose soul has been connected to that site which YHVH God chose to place His name there. Without saving faith in Jesus, there is no peace for anyone. The site belongs to Him, and He will re-possess it for Himself in due time, in His righteousness, not ours."

Continuing, "According to the words of Messiah Himself, there will be some 'holy place' of the Jews in these last days, and He was referencing the prophet Daniel to be sure that we (the readers) understand that this is not just past history fulfilled. As believers in Yeshua, we are not to aid and abet in the building of such a structure, nor to participate in sacrifices once it is in use. Jesus also says that many people are going to Hell, but we are not to help them on their way there, but rather to tell them the gospel in hope that they be saved and delivered from such a destiny."  This are very important words to consider, in my view.  Read more from Howard Bass inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Orna Grinman of A Sign & a Wonder ministry is on her way to the USA and you can see her itinerary inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary.  Whenever Israeli ministries come to your nation or region, you should make every effort to go see them in person.  We try to express to you all what wonderful servants of God these people are, but it really helps if you get the chance to meet a few of them and see that we have been telling the absolute truth about that!

Writing about the tensions in the region Orna writes, "Eleven Christians were beheaded last month in Aleppo, Syria, as punishment for their refusal to deny their Lord. Will you be able to do the same, if you were faced with the same situation? Given the choice to suffer terribly or cause a major damage to Israel, what would you choose? I am asking myself these questions recently. What used to be martyr stories coming from afar, somehow feels like something we all may have to deal with, God help us.  I know I am mixing here supporting Israel with standing for Yeshua, but I believe the two will soon be proven to be inseparable."

Orna also has a new booklet out called, "Who is knocking on your door?".  "The booklet explains how you can manage your negative emotions and compulsive thoughts, or else they will manage you. This is an extremely practical guide into healing of deep wounds, and a fruit of our labor through the years with broken hearts. We applied it ourselves, we teach it wherever and whenever we can, and it works. You are welcome to try it for yourself. To order your own copy" phone number given inside the Weekly Summary.

And Calev Myers has an excellent article: Israel in Crisis  |  Many people have asked me about the current wave of violence between Jews and Muslims in Israel. Why is it taking place? Is it the beginning of a new intifada (uprising)? Could it have been avoided? Does it create a risk for tourists visiting Israel?

Arrows from Zion by Donna Diorio Oct 12, 2015

The name of my prayer points, Arrows from Zion, was given to me in a prophetic word from Asher Intrater at Revive Israel in Mevaseret Zion, Israel in 2005. Arrows in the Hebrew scripture is often used to signify the word of the Lord being shot toward the target. Which is why the phrase, like "arrows from Zion" which Asher uttered stuck with me. Many people pray for Israel like those who take up bow and arrow without knowing what and where the target is.

Many times over the years I've had people sniff at me that they didn't need the input of the Body of Messiah in Israel to pray for Israel because they would just pray by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Every prophet I have ever seen worth his salt acknowledged that the interpretation of even a prophet - though coming from the Holy Spirit - filters through the humanity of the prophet.

What does that mean? It means that the prophets "see in part" because they are "looking into the glass darkly" - that's like saying they are looking into a smoky mirror - what they believe the Spirit is signifying is usually not a crystal clear word, so the prophet interprets and how he interprets depends upon how much he knows what GOD IS SHOOTING FOR.

This is why I take into consideration in my evaluation of the prophetic words, does that prophet even know what God is shooting for with Israel? Does that prophet even see the most significant sign of the times is how God is raising up a Body of believers in Israel who represent Yeshua to the restored state of Israel? Do they understand that God is passionate about restoring the inheritance of the "chosen people" through Messiah? Do they know that as the King of Kings, in the very place where a mosque now lays a false claim to that mountain where God placed His name as claim to ownership long ago, Yeshua will return to reign, having slain God's enemies arrayed to annihilate Israel?

We may have a strong bow, and plenty of arrows, but if we don't know that Jerusalem is the bull's eye target of God now, then our arrows are shot willy nilly all over the place. If anyone wants to know how to pray for Israel in this hour, you can no longer do it effectively without hearing from the Body of Messiah in Israel.

If you want to pray in God's will for Israel, and you are not respecting the prophets of Israel properly, then you are like Uzzah, in 2 Samuel 6, who stretched out his hand to steady the ark when David was bringing it back to Israel from the house of Abinadab.  THERE IS A PROTOCOL that even the well intentioned and godly must follow.

Post Script  After I posted this (on Facebook) earlier I realized that somewhere over the past several days I had read something that someone else had written about Uzzah. Uzzah was the fellow who stretched forth his hand to steady the ark, not knowing what proper protocol was - who could touch and who could not. God struck dead Uzzah dead.

So I went on a search of people on Facebook that I thought might have written something about that. Then not finding it there I looked at my Israelprayer Weekly Summary from last week and I didn't find it there.  Finally after searching for an hour I looked in my file where I collect the prayer letters from the Israeli Ministries for the issue I am going to do next for Israelprayer.  I found it. It was an article by Asher Intrater called Covenantal Order or Gifts of the Spirit? Oct 9, 2015

Asher writes in opening, "Moving the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem (II Samuel 6) had great spiritual significance. It was accompanied by two unusual events with two severe punishments."

Considering the signs of the times, this is worth the read and worth taking sober note.
