Over the past year the leaders of Israeli ministries have met several times to debate the issue of the Yeshua – God? Man? Or Both? This has been a fairly private discussion in Israel and few mentions have been made in the prayer letters to indicate these debates were taking place, or how heated they became in many instances. Discussions to air differences are healthy and good, but when all the dust settles, there is a clear line of demarcation between what is of our faith and what is not. What has been privately held has been moved to publicly exposed.
So I am glad to see Asher Intrater noting in the teaching article this week that even though a small group of Israeli ministry leaders deny Yeshua’s divinity and another small group deny His humanity, that by far “the vast majority of pastors and elders stood firmly in His dual nature.”
From the beginning of Israelprayer it has been our desire to be all-inclusive, however, on this issue I must draw the line. I am only interested in sharing the prayer requests of those ministries who share “like precious faith.” Those who do not believe that Yeshua was both God and man, we pray will come to come to the knowledge of the truth. The Global Day of Prayer on the 23rd joined some 300 Arab Christians and Israeli Messianic Jews together in a hotel in Nazareth for worship, prayer, repentance, forgiveness and the washing of feet among the pastors. The Prince of Peace reigned and the kingdom was advanced in Yeshua’s name.
Pray for blessings upon all the participants – for the Christian Arab initiators of the event to be covered so that no weapon formed against any of them shall prosper and every tongue rising in condemnation will be rendered impotent in the Name of the LORD whom they serve.
The world is preoccupied each with its own mighty struggles right now – but for those who have seen the future that includes a national salvation within Israel – let us not fear the present but trust the LORD that He will do ALL He has promised to do before the trumpet calls us.
Even as storm clouds gather and surround the nation of Israel the Word of the Lord is for Israel: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29:11
Pray for the judge presiding over the Beersheva case who is surely under great pressure to render a verdict between justice or sanctioned religious persecution. Pray for the believers to place their trust in the Highest Court, no matter human courts decide.
Pray for the continued blessing and favor of God over the South Korean film RESTORATION, a film about the restoration of Messiah’s Body in the Land of Israel & return to book of Acts resistance to believers. Restoration won the grand prize for feature documentary in the Monaco film Festival.
Summer is the time to see Israeli ministries speaking in tours outside the country. Seek out the ministries visiting your area in the coming several months. Pray for all traveling & especially for fruitful Divine appointments.
Pray for those ministries with a vision to truly disciple new believers – training up spiritual children in the way they should go for fruitful lives and fruitful ministry even in their daily lives. Pray for refreshing for those pouring out their lives in spiritually parenting and teach others in the ways of God.
Pray for powerful anointing to rest upon the people of Yeshua in Israel, upon each member of the Body and upon the ministry teams and individuals. Every gathering of believers over these summer months for Yeshua to walk among them in signs, wonders and setting at liberty all held captive by the enemy.
The first relief aid we read about in the New Testament is in Acts 11 when a prophet said a worldwide famine was coming and the Christians in Antioch recognized their brothers in Israel would be the hardest hit. History repeats itself. Pray for recognition of that truth to break forth.
Are our ministries feeling the pinch of scary economic times? Imagine what the ministries among Israeli Jews and Arabs are experiencing. Even in good times they are overlooked. Pray for this to change.
Reality check: Sometimes we bless programs more easily than ministries. Pray for God to show us the difference and to give us wisdom in the stewardship of all our funds going into Israel – that it be only toward His purposes and toward those operating by the Spirit of the Messiah in them.
Pray for God to anoint our lips to speak forth His Will for the people of Israel – both the brothers and sisters of like precious faith, and all those the Spirit is calling into His sheepfold.
Pray for the Christians of all the nations to not see themselves as a weak minority being swallowed up by the darkness of our days – but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32 …including keeping a strong stand for Israel as is just.
Pray that as we read our newspapers and hear the news broadcasts that we would not shake our heads and curse the darkness only, but calling those things that be not as tho they are, we would set right the issues that are not in line with God’s will.

Praying in Agreement with the Israeli Body of Messiah

Shavuot, called Weeks or Pentecost, celebrates the first fruits of the harvest season, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The time between the Omer and Shavuot is often called the "counting of the Omer." The 50 days of counting between Passover and Pentecost also parallels the time between Yeshua’s crucifixion and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
The apostle Paul also recognized a prophetic significance to the Feast, “he was hurrying to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the Day of Pentecost” (Acts 20:16). Once there Paul and representatives from all the Christian churches would deliver the collection taken up for the Body of Messiah in Israel over a several year period. (There are several references in Paul’s letters encouraging this collection among the churches.)
Lev 23:16-17 speaks of the wave offering that was to be made on this prophetic feast – TWO LOAVES baked with leaven to be waved as an offering before the Lord as first fruits.
The contribution that the Christian churches made to the care of the Body in Israel became the fulfillment of the required wave offering. When the care of the Christian churches returns to the BODY of Messiah in Israel, we will see the prophetic fulfillment of the latter harvest symbolized in Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles.
Pray for the prophetic fulfillment of the wave offering to be performed in our day as well – releasing an abundant latter harvest.

Pray for Israeli Messianic Jewish and Arab Christians who will be reaching across the cultural divides to be one in Messiah on Sunday May 23rd or the Global Day of Prayer.
Pray for all the believing community as Israelis celebrate the annual Feast of Shavuot, Pentecost beginning sundown Tuesday May 18th. Pray for many seeds to be planted and harvested in these prophetic picture holidays.
Stand vigil for the persecuted believers in Israel – families fighting for their citizenship, right to operate businesses without persecution, right to worship according to the dictates of their own conscience and conviction. Pray for those who defend these rights and those who are in the bull’s eye of the enemy.
Pray for comfort for the Mizrachi family as Avi’s mother is laid to rest and Heaven rejoices in her arrival.
Pray for Ami Ortiz’ hand operation which is scheduled for Thursday May 20th. Pray for the family as the trail of Ami’s attempted murderer is temporarily on hold while judges decide if he is truly “mentally unfit” to stand trial. Pray for justice to prevail in Israeli courts.
Pray for the Messianic Guest Houses, Bed & Breakfasts and other accommodations that connect Christians with the Israeli Body of Messiah to be full up over the entire tourist season. Speak blessing on every prayer retreat and short term volunteer program that connects Christians & Israeli Messianic Jews.
Different municipalities throughout Israel as discovering that Messianic ministries are helpful resources for a variety of reasons. Pray for protection and increase in these relationships. Pray that no weapon formed against these relationships will prosper & every tongue condemning be rendered impotent.
The Sign of Jonah Grey whales have not been seen in the Atlantic since the 1800’s but one made an appearance just last week in the Mediterranean off the shores of Jaffa/Tel Aviv. Maybe this isn’t a sign of global warming – but a sign instead an Israeli generation ready to teshuvah – turn in repentance. (Mt 12:39-42)
The verdict in the Beer Sheva congregation case against the anti-missionary Yad L’Achim and Beersheva rabbi Deri could come any day. Pray for God’s will to be served in this verdict and the glory of the Lord to be on the followers of Yeshua NO MATTER what human courts may say.
We are so close, yet so far from the condition of the Body at the time of the Messiah’s return. The world is a chaotic mess – but so are we! Disconnected, estranged from each other. Thank God the Spirit of Messiah is uniting us into One because it is something we cannot do for ourselves. That we may be one.
"Do not let anything rob you of your peace. Just lean on Me."
Pray for the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children, and of the hearts of the children to the fathers. Families are the target of the enemy – destroy families and the repercussions can multiply out to children’s children. Pray for hearts to be softened and turned back to natural affection.
Pray for the Body in Israel to be as the woman with the issue of blood who reached out to touch Yeshua for healing – that the Body would reach out to touch Yeshua “in desperate faith as one person; we want to do the same but in a group. She received for herself; we want to receive so that ‘all Israel will be saved." (Romans 11:26)
Pray for the fire of Pentecost to fall again of Messianic Jews in Israel that a mighty revival will break forth again as prophesied by Joel and Shimon Peter – God’s Spirit poured out on all flesh before the great and terrible day of the coming of the Lord.

We are always pressed with an intensity of the needs when dealing with Israel – never a dull moment takes on fuller meaning! – so we probably do not say enough what a blessing each of you on this mailing list are. The promise of God is that “I will bless those that bless Israel.” There can be no greater blessing to bless Israel with than from those of you who join your prayers of faith for the harvest of souls in Israel. For those of you who are speaking blessing on the Body of Messiah in Israel to fulfill their calling in preaching the gospel of the kingdom so that all Israel may be saved – May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

It’s all in the family. Are you drawing sudden, unexpected fire from family members? It is not a sign that you are doing something wrong, but an attack motivated by the enemy to knock you off track.
"Give me John Baptist's head in a charger!" What incited Herodias to plot with her daughter to ask such a thing of Herod? John saw and declared the sin of Herod, who murdered his own brother to take his brother's wife, Herodias. Different people react differently to guilt. Some repent, others murder - or commit character assassination, which is figurative murder. (Mt 5:22)
Continue to pray for God to deliver a revelation of Yeshua in power to family members – immediate blood relatives, our ‘tribes’ and the greater Body of the Lord worldwide. This is not the time to be moved from the track God has placed us on.

Though the Israeli press has presented it as a done deal that Jack Teitel is not sane enough to stand trial for murder and the attempted murder of the Messianic Ortiz family, pray the 3 judges will reject this strategy and bring Teitel to justice. They render their decision on June 1.
Praise God for the mighty thing He is doing in Korea to make known the plight of Israeli believers through the blockbuster film “Restoration” that has outlived AVATAR in Korean theatres & is spiritually awakening a mighty praying nation to the Body in Israel. Must read this incredible report.
Jerusalem Day, 2010 (tomorrow) on Wed marks the 43rd anniversary of the return of Jerusalem to Israeli control in 1967. This is important prophetically (Lk 21:24) because it concerns our KING who will return as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah to take the throne of His Kingdom – Zion – on the mountain in Jerusalem. A spiritual Kingdom with its Messiah King enthroned on a physical mountain. (Joel 3:17)
"I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion" – Psalm 2:6. "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; May they prosper who love you" – Psalm 122:6.
Being on the road doing the work of the ministry can be mentally, emotionally and physically taxing. Pray for the many Israeli ministers who are traveling in the nations – for the Lord to pour out a double blessing of peace in every circumstance, favor and grace at every turn in the road. Divine appointments.
The battle over the believer’s right to citizenship continues to be waged in Israel – reports this week speak of those who are fighting for their citizenship, some who have been denied re-entrance, and others who have won their cases in court. Pray for this situation where justice often does not prevail.
The Israeli ministry leaders we asked prayer for last week for his mother reports that she has been stabilized and once her strength returns will continue testing and treatment for cancer. We are asking God for a miracle – to dry up the cancer cells completely as a sign of healing following those who are declaring the Good News to Israel. Pray for his father’s recovery too.
Thank God for building strong spiritual families among the believers in Israel. In some cases, the natural family is cut off from those who declare faith in Yeshua. Spiritual families help us to develop godly role models for our relationships. Bless those who support each other in this re-learning process.
When believers gather together in public places for spiritual times of renewal, the curious draw near to watch. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. (2 Cor 2:16) Thank God for those who smell life and receive it.
Pray for the young generation of spiritual leaders that God has raised up in Israel as they go forth to establish new works in evangelism, youth ministries and planting home groups. These are young families who have served in the ministries of their spiritual elders. Pray for God’s blessing and vision upon them.
Thank God for the humanitarian ministry that touches Israelis hard hit by economic woes, and the effects of wars and terror attacks. We are responsible as stewards for where we place our blessings of Israel – we MUST bless ALL ISRAEL through the Body of Messiah in Israel. Awakening to this truth!
An example of "the eye of a needle" which it is easier for a camel to pass through than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. (See the person standing inside?)
Who is not blessed to understand the original intent of the writer or the Hebraic thinking undergirding passages and phrases in our New Testament scriptures? Whoever is not steals from himself. Pray for the exchange of refreshing Water – one vessel to the other between the Church & Messianic believers.
Pray for many summertime childrens, youth and young adult conferences that are gearing up all over Israel. Pray for lasting, deep and life-changing ministry to be produced in these tender lives.
We do not worship money, but money is needed by every believer who is still walking in this life. Pray for the needs of every Israeli believer to not only be met, but to begin to overflow that others might be blessed. Pray for Yeshua to show each where to fish for the golden coins needed to meet their needs.
Pray for faith for all those who have stepped out of their boats at the call of Yeshua, to remain in faith even as the wind and waves try to command their attention and produce doubt and unbelief. Pray for eyes to remain fixed upon Him who has called us out of safety not that we may drown but that we may overcome our natural limitations by faith.
An awakening in Israel will release a powerful wave of spiritual awakening across the planet. Pray for the veil to be removed, for the scales of pride to fall from religious eyes, for the revelation of the Son of God to be revealed in Israel and life from the dead redound throughout the nations.

An example of "the eye of a needle" which it is easier for a camel to pass through than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. (See the person standing inside?)Who is not blessed to understand the original intent of the writer or the Hebraic thinking undergirding passages and phrases in our New Testament scriptures? Whoever is not steals from himself. Pray for the exchange of refreshing Water – one vessel to the other between the Church & Messianic believers.
Pray for many summertime childrens, youth and young adult conferences that are gearing up all over Israel. Pray for lasting, deep and life-changing ministry to be produced in these tender lives.
We do not worship money, but money is needed by every believer who is still walking in this life. Pray for the needs of every Israeli believer to not only be met, but to begin to overflow that others might be blessed. Pray for Yeshua to show each where to fish for the golden coins needed to meet their needs.
Pray for faith for all those who have stepped out of their boats at the call of Yeshua, to remain in faith even as the wind and waves try to command their attention and produce doubt and unbelief. Pray for eyes to remain fixed upon Him who has called us out of safety not that we may drown but that we may overcome our natural limitations by faith.
An awakening in Israel will release a powerful wave of spiritual awakening across the planet. Pray for the veil to be removed, for the scales of pride to fall from religious eyes, for the revelation of the Son of God to be revealed in Israel and life from the dead redound throughout the nations.

Praying in Agreement with the Israeli Body of Messiah

Just prior to mailing time this news began breaking in the Israeli press: Wednesday a court hearing in the Yaakov Teitel case will hear that the psychiatrists have determined that Teitel is mentally unfit to stand trial. This is pure malarkey and we have seen it used before as a tactic to keep justice from being served when the perpetrator is ultra-orthodox.
Please pray for the Israeli courts to recognize that this cynical maneuver will cause serious damage to Israeli credibility. Pray for the judges to demand the proverbial second opinion assessment from a less compromised set of psychiatric experts.

This week we note the April passing of Paul Bianchini, Dean of the Bible Institute of Jerusalem, to be with the LORD. Pray for his family, loved ones, associates and students as each adjust to his sudden passing.
Pray for the Tel Aviv ministry asking prayer for his mother who doctors have just discovered with much cancer spread throughout her body. We are asking ABBA for a miracle according to Acts 4:30 “By stretching forth Your hand to heal, and that signs & wonders may be done by the Name of Yeshua.”
We thank our Healer Yeshua for touching Uzi at Beit Hallel in Samaria so that cancer shall not rear its ugly head a second time.
We weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. Mazal tov! To the Bass family as their daughter has just been married under the chuppah. The blessing of the LORD be upon the newlyweds for the fullness of God’s purposes in their lives.
“The Gospel is going forth. Seeds are being planted. People are hearing about Yeshua on television”… and the enemy is none too happy about it! Pray for a leading evangelistic ministry in Jerusalem from backlash that comes from presenting faith in Yeshua well. Pray for holy boldness & Divine protection.
Like raindrops during the Spring, each week brings reports of Israelis who are responding to the good news that this Yeshua is for Jews – sent from Heaven for the very things prophesied by Isaiah (61:1-2a). Now it has begun Isaiah 61:2c-11 “For as the earth brings for bud….”
In every walk of life, believers are to be a shining example of the integrity Yeshua brings to bear within our hearts. Thank God for the Israeli Messianic attorneys who are demonstrating the excellence of Daniel in the courts of the Land. Pray for favor in the cases they represent for Yeshua’s Body.
Hebrew is a difficult language to master and every immigrant citizen of Israel must go through Ulpan, a Hebrew language program. Fluent Hebrew is a necessity for ministry to native Israelis. Pray for a special anointing for the language to be upon the Messianic believers to learn and be fluent.
These are trying times – because it is always a trial when the cash flow is tight. Provision is the fuel that takes our visions to the stage of being realized. Pray for the flow of provisions for Israeli ministries, even in financially rocky times that are being felt throughout the world. Every Israeli ministry needs met!
There is a spirit of war hovering over Israel in these times – the U.S. has up to the Obama administration provided a restraining spirit. That has broken down and Israelis are feeling it. Pray for the indigenous ministry leaders who are being given prophetic dreams to prepare – to hear the Spirit clearly and prepare to be an oasis and a refuge to their people in times of trouble, fear and anxiety for the future.
Pray for the city of Arad where believers in the small town have been targeted for several years for persecution from one of the largest yeshivas in Israel. A yeshiva is a orthodox religious school and the one in Arad has 25,000. They have plenty of time to stir up trouble against the believers in the town. And they do.
Pray for all the social projects that are going on in the State of Israel by indigenous followers of Yeshua. It is one thing for the Israeli poor to be fed by the TV Rabbi who is glad to gather millions from Christians but without distributing the bounty in the Name of Jesus – and another thing for the poor to blessed by Yeshua honoring neighbors in the indigenous ministries of Israel. Our seed planted should honor Yeshua.
Speak blessing over the outreaches of the indigenous ministries – from men’s rehabs to women’s shelters, from care to Holocaust survivors to fresh fruits and vegetables to Israeli children living in poverty – pray for these who honor Yeshua in Israel to be blessed with an abundance to do the work of ministries.
Pray for the conferences, prayer gatherings and tours inside the country – that God will unleash a powerful revelation of the significance of this harvest going on in Israel and how it will REDOUND to the glory of God (2 Cor 4:15) in the worldwide harvest.
Pray for the Israeli ministries who are now traveling to minister throughout the nations. Pray for health – it is easy to get run down while on the road. Pray for all to be well back home while these ministries travel. And pray for Divine appointments, favor and anointing to rest upon them every step.
Pray for the hearing on Wednesday in the trial of Yaakov Teitel, on trial for the bombing of the Messianic Ortiz family in Ariel. Pray for the Ortiz family who will be in that hearing along with the family of Samir Balbisi, an Arab murdered by Teitel years earlier. Pray for favor with the courts and media for the victims of this SANE man who is propelled by religious hatred - not insanity.
