As one young pastor in Acco said this week: “We were not called to believe in Yeshua in order to lead a passive life; we must be active and slowly march towards that day.”
Pray therefore for the LORD of the harvest to send forth laborers into the harvest – for the harvest is truly great.

KEY PRAYER POINTS FOR PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION

If you understand that Israel plays a prominent role in the perfection (fulfillment) of God’s plan of salvation in these last days, then you know how that places Israel in the cross-hairs of the opposing spiritual warfare. What we do not grasp is in how many ways that will express. Some have an inkling, tho none more than the Israeli Body, I think.
Pray for God to reveal to His servants how we may stand with all His purposes, unwavering – love never failing – to see every purpose of God fulfilled in Israel and every person He has set His sights.
Pray for those who have the courage to begin to speak to some of those hidden areas of conflict and testing that will begin to bring pressure on even the lovers of Israel among the spiritually reborn. Pray for wisdom and revelation to prepare His people to stand together without faltering.
Thank God for the sovereign work He doing among the Asian people in stirring these up to stand with the Body of Messiah in Israel. Pray for a continued explosion of revelation and vision and thank God for the Korean film, Restoration, and how God is using this to open the eyes of the East to their spiritual brethren in Israel. Speaking blessing upon the exchange going on.
God is also using the annual ANZAC commemoration to give honor to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps in the 1917 victory over the Turks in Beer Sheva. Many have been used to bring Israel to this place, and the honoring of them will place Israel in the hearts of the “Light Horsemen” families. God will use it all in fulfilling His purposes.
We have news that the believers in Arad are experiencing greater and greater pressure from the anti-Messianic activists. Three different congregations housed in one “house of prayer” facility are being forced out. A typical tactic. Imagine every type of harassment almost every day since the beginning of 2004. Pray for the Body in ARAD. THEY REALLY NEED YOUR PRAYERS,
Not all the news is a downer! God is moving among His people – saving unexpected people in unexpected places from all walks of life, situation and ethnic group. Like Nicodemus coming under the cover of night, there are strategically placed people the Lord is revealing His Son to. Pray for these.
Even as the High Holidays begin to wrap up with the end of Sukkot/the Feast of Tabernacles and Simhat Torah (explained in the Weekly Summary version), there are other conferences the believing community will gather to participate in. Pray for the ministries – it is an intense time frame of activities & visitors.
Pray the conference of the Negev whose theme this year is the Salvation of Israel and the Coming Again of Yeshua. Pray for the Lord to knit the Body in the Negev into a tightly knit weave of love.
Pray for the wisdom of Israel’s leaders – especially during this time when the one consistent ally, the U.S., has an especially weak and shortsighted leader. Pray for the heart of the Prime Minister to be guided by the Hand of the Spirit of God in all decisions of consequence.
Ahmadinejad grins like a hyena, thinking himself so crafty that he has outsmarted the nations and remains untouchable to them. Research shows, however, that the notorious laughing noise is actually an expression of the hyena NOT being able to attain something they desire. Spiritually this is true of Ahmadinejad too. No weapon formed against Israel shall prosper.
Pray for every ministry the Lord is stirring to press in to do more in humanitarian aid among their communities – some sense the urging is to cover the needs that will come in regional outbreaks of war which is always a threat but especially palpable at this time. The Iranian/Lebanon connection as well as the “peace negotiations” which are always a sure fire way to increase missile and terror operations.
A powerful testimony to Iranians and Arabs is hearing a Jew preach the gospel in Hebrew. Likewise it was recently a powerful testimony to an Israeli Jew to hear the gospel preached in Farsi – which was the mother tongue of the Israeli man too. The Lord is up to things under the radar of most reports – but let your heart be encouraged by the salvations that are the fruit of this pouring from vessel to unexpected vessel.
Life goes on, the holidays are celebrated, the guests come and go, the leaders of the world gather and say this and that, the enemy creeps around scheming in running to evil – but our God has a plan that will not be overturned or thwarted; neither delayed nor scaled back. All Israel shall be saved and as it increasingly happens there is a corresponding release of salvation through the nations.
It is expedient for the Church with a vision for the worldwide harvest to pray for the salvation of Israel.

Life is a whirlwind right now in Israel, not only from the High Holy Days but from all the Christian and Jewish visitors in the country to celebrate the holidays. Pray for the Israeli believers and for all their unsaved relatives and friends who are participating in the Feasts of the Lord. Pray for new seeds to be planted and for previously planted seeds to begin to break through in new life. Pray for visitors in Israel to be a blessing and to plant good seeds, and to connect with our spiritual family in the Land.
Act 17:25-28 And God has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us: For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Please join us in praying for a spirit of revelation to fall upon the people of this nation during this time. Pray especially for those who have had "seeds" planted in their hearts previously that something would "click" and that they would understand that the Gospel of Yeshua is "the power of God unto salvation".
Pray for the family times at the celebration of Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated among the believing families who are training up their children in the way to go, and that those that have departed from that way come to their senses, repent and return.
Even in the midst of the High Holy Days, life marches on in the natural warfare of the pressure cooker of Israel. From the enemies without, to the enemies within, continue to pray for the Body of Messiah in Israel to walk in great peace knowing truly that nothing may separate us from the love of God.
Pray that the watchmen on the wall of Israel – from within and from without – will accurately hear the word of the Lord and proclaim it faithfully, calling those things that be not as though they are. That each walk as Moses walked, uprightly and with youthful vigor. Breaking every disease & ill health assignment of the enemy against them.
First there was a bad report in the Beer Sheva trial where clearly a mob was led to drive out the Messianics worshipping there. Now the Israeli courts have reversed the Pnina Pie victory, another miscarriage of justice against the believers in Israel. Appeal to the Highest Court of the Most High!
Pray for the Body of Messiah to emerge from this holiday season having released forgiveness against all offenses brother-to-brother, and refreshed by a new anointing of oil of the Holy Spirit. Let it be a fresh renewal of the word that those who give mercy freely will also receive mercy to themselves.
Thank God for the young ministries that God has been raising up in Israel, some working alongside their fathers and mothers in ministry before stepping out into their own ministry works; others laboring beside spiritual fathers and mothers. All these 30-to-40 somethings: Be blessed with a Double-portion Elisha anointing.
Garden of Secrets is a new Israeli worship album in the final stages of being prepared by a couple that many of the Israeli believing youth are calling "pioneers" in the field of modern Hebrew worship music. Pray for this music to impact their generation in Israel – not only believers, but drawing young people to Yeshua.

Isn't it strange that during Judaism's 10 Days of Awe which are to be times of self-inspection and getting right with God, and just days before the most solemn Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement, that the religious zealots and anti-Messianic organizations of Israel would gather to conspire against the Israeli Body of Messiah?... The unity of the brethren in Israel is at the forefront of our prayers this week, as is the division in the camp of the enemies of God’s WORD made flesh. We thank God for the stirring show of unity and bonds of love between the brethren in Israel – truly ‘They Shall Know You by Your Love One for Another’
Those who gather to speak bitter words over the believers in Israel are as the cauldron of pottage in 2 Kings 4:40 where the sons of the prophets cried out, “There is death in the pot”. But Elisha said, “Then bring (wheat flour)meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot. “
Pray for the spirit of the revelation of Messiah Yeshua to be poured out on the deceived enemies of the purposes of God – those in Jewish Israel and in the Arab, Persian, Indian and African lands. As He was revealed to Paul in Acts 9:3, so the LORD is being revealed throughout the Middle East: “and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven.”
Pray for the young people of Messianic families who are entering or serving the IDF. Both boys and girls straight out of high school are committed to service of the nation. While it matures young people and prepares them for the world in which they live, it is a jarring commitment of Israeli families. Pray for the Lord’s presence to be with each one in this sacrifice.
Continue to pray for justice to be served in the Israeli courts in dealing with the religious zealot who attempted to murder the Messianic Ortiz family. It is a ‘wink, wink, nod, nod’ track record of finding these perpetrators “mentally unfit” to be held accountable. Pray this not be the case for Teitel.
While Orthodox Jews will wave a chicken or a monetary donation over the head of persons seeking atonement on the Day of Atonement which begins this Friday, the Messianic Jews of Israel will be meeting together for a day of fasting, repentance and prayer for the salvation of the nation. May the Lord answer their prayers in a mighty outpouring of His revelation of Yeshua Messiah.
Islam has risen up not only to threaten the peoples of the world, but as a challenge to the One True God who is worshiped by both Christian and Jew. We know who will prevail – but the battle is right now to snatch victims from the wrath and deception. Pray for Divine direction for each of us in our portion of the battle.
Israel, according to statistics, is becoming more religious. As one Israeli pastor noted, “Turning to religion is a step in the right direction for some people, and a falling away for others. The religious spirit is opposed to the liberty which comes to those whose faith is anchored in the truth of the gospel.” Pray for the TRUTH to make men free in Israel.
A heart to serve Israel is a powerful expression of the faith that results from a pure expression of faith in Jesus. Many Jews know only of the impure expressions of historic Christianity. That makes it all the more needful for our support of Israel to be extended “in the Name of Yeshua Messiah.” Pray for wisdom in Christian giving to sources that only bury the name of Yeshua, instead of lifting Him up.
Thank God for the sharing and partnering that is going on between ministries in Israel. As the believers in the opening chapters of Acts, ministries that help each other release multiplied blessing into the congregations and communities. Sharing is caring agape-style.
Pray for the prodigals in Israel…those who have known the Lord, grown up in believing families, who have turned from walking with Him. They are not unlike the nation of Israel itself YET God is faithful to His promises of salvation. Pray they come to their senses and again see the Father’s outstretched arms in the Person of Yeshua.
Pray that technical situations with broken links and other technology-based interference with communications and giving be discovered and made right. What the enemy has stolen be returned seven-fold to the ministries in Israel.
During the High Holy Days there are many believers touring in Israel, also some ministries are touring in the nations. Continue to pray for God’s blessing on our coming in and going out – for impartation and abundant fruit to result from these travels.

Praying in Agreement with the Israeli Body of Messiah
Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit.
One of the spiritual benefits of being fitly knit together with the Jewish members of the Body of Messiah/Christ is that we are able to partake of the spiritual fruit of “the fig tree.” Inside the Weekly Summary you will find many spiritual treasures in Messianic insights this Rosh HaShana 5771 – actually one of the prophetic feasts, the Feast of Trumpets.
However, the Priority Prayer Focus is an actual sounding of the alarm trumpet to rally in intercessory prayer for the believers of Israel as next Tuesday, Sept 14th an anti-missionary conference is being held calling all activists against Messianic believers to meet together with the leaders. This is a grave threat and ominous gathering which leaders in the Weekly Summary are asking us to join in prayer about.

Feasts of Trumpets 5771 a prophetic warning has sounded on several fronts – the last covered in most Israel-supporting organizations shall be first covered in this one.
The anti-Messianic leaders have called for activists throughout Israel to come to conference in Jerusalem next Tuesday 9/14. Pray for a spirit of division in their ranks and that what the enemy means for evil, the LORD will use for good!
In the late 1990’s when Netanyahu was Prime Minister, there was a mean drive to legislate against the gospel and the Messianic believers in Israel to outlaw all sharing of faith. This will be one element of the strategy in the upcoming conference, plus a release to persecute more strenuously. Pray for the threat to be made known to the Israeli public – for a blind eye to cease among government, legal and law enforcement authorities.
In the late 1990’s as activists were trying to legislate against the gospel and Messianic believes, a young ultra-Orthodox stood up and said, “I am only waiting for the Rabbis’ Approval to Kill Them” (source: Haaretz coverage of a meeting held by Rabbi Deri against the Beer Sheva Messianic congregation). That approval has been recently given by West Bank rabbis Yitzhak Shapira and Yitzhak Ginsberg.
Anti-Messianic believer activism is heating up in Israel, even as rabbis with superb relationships with Christians encourage Christians to reject any Jewish believers who share their faith in Jesus with fellow Jews. This is the valley of decision for many Christians: will we compromise our faith by rejecting the Jewish members of the Body of Messiah/Christ. Pray many will find the courage to stand united as one body.
We ask you to pray over these things, even as the entire focus of many are upon how anti-Israeli forces in the nations are heating up. We agree the latter needs prayer intercession – but first, our prayers must be for the household of faith who are expanding the Lord’s kingdom in Israel & the Middle East.
There is great resistance within Christian circles to the true significance of the humble Body of Messiah in Israel. Pray for those walls to fall like Jericho, and scales to fall from eyes like those that fell from the anti-missionary Shaul, who would become “the apostle to the Gentiles” – Paul.
Pray for the many Christian visitors in Israel during the Fall Feasts – for Divine connections with Israeli believers and awakening to Gentile Church having been grafted into the SAVED natural branches!
Throughout these holidays the believers in congregations all over Israel are preparing themselves spiritually before God for the things coming and to be of greater spiritual service to the Lord of the harvest. Hold up their arms in the battles and the rebuilding work of the paths Israel is to walk in.
Pray for the true repentance – the turning from that which is a false path to the one True and narrow path to God through the only Door of Salvation in His Messiah of Israel, Yeshua/Jesus. May the Holy Spirit prepare hearts to receive Him in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank. True VISION restored.
And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto Your servants, that with all boldness they may speak Your word, By stretching forth Your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Yeshua. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:29-31
Israeli weather forecasters have predicted the coming rainy season will be one of the driest in the past six years. Pray that the outpouring of rain will astound the wise and defy the scientists. Ask God to pour out abundant rains – natural and spiritual overturning the threat of a dry spell.
Whether for richer or for poorer – the Bride in Israel is preparing and adorning herself with the glory of the Lord. This radiant Bride is a shining light of Yeshua’s love to His countrymen of the flesh. Jesus was a Jew in the flesh, and will return for His Bride – both Jew and Gentile in Him – as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Let there be no doubt they are a part of us and we will be full of His glory at His return.
L’Chaim, L’Chaim! To Life, to Life! Pray for the blessing of the Lord to be upon all the congregations and ministries devoted to the pro-life movement in Israel. Every female IDF soldier is allowed 2 free abortions during their military service – but the Messianic pro-Life ministries are saving precious lives.
Pray for God to grant special provisions of Divine wisdom on unsaved leaders in Israel – that His own purposes may be fulfilled by them in leading and preserving the nation. All Israel shall be saved – a spiritual salvation that gives us a basis to appeal to Heaven for natural salvation against the enemies who would try to cut them off before they see the Light of Yeshua.
Pray for the children who are exposed to perversions of the truth and revisionist histories (sound familiar) in Israeli public schools. Pray for schools and for the believers and un-believers in them – for the truth to prevail and false teachings to be stricken from curriculum.

On August 31st the Jerusalem Post ran an Op-Ed by Rabbi Shlomo Riskin title "Dialogue: The Messianic movement". The sub-head to the title read, "There is a minority who use deceptive proselytizing practices to win Jewish converts."
"It is easy to say the Messianic community is a monolith and all wish to bring the Gospel to every Jew. The truth is that many just want to practice their faith in private and have no active agenda in missionizing other Jews.
"However, there is a minority who use deceptive proselytizing practices to win Jewish converts.
"This is spiritually offensive and says those who practice Judaism in its current state are not living a salvific expression of the covenant."
Riskin also denied that any persecution against believers is taking place in Israel. This was an article meant for the consumption of Israel-supporting Christians, so the Messianic believers in Israel would be discounted.
An answer to Rabbi Riskin's JPost Op-Ed by Messianic Jewish minister, Asher Intrater, as it was submitted to the newspaper last week. So far, the editors have chosen not to publish Intrater's response article.
