On this week of Thanksgiving in the USA, I am noticing how many times the phrase “O give thanks to the Lord” appears in the Word of God.

I am so thankful to God that He saw fit to lead me to launch a ministry in August of 2001 strictly devoted to the prayer concerns of the indigenous ministries in Israel. I’m so grateful that it has put me in a unique position to get to know an incredible assembly and variety of Yeshua’s Israeli servants – those I have met personally and those I may not know face to face, but know by their spirit nonetheless.

I am truly thankful to have God’s favor in both hearing from and speaking for this wonderful group of men and women in the service of His harvest in Israel. It is Proverbs 10:22 describes, “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”

Give thanks for all the ‘hidden ones’ who are ministering and serving in the Lord’s harvest fields of the biblical Israeli land. Often in hard circumstances of their own, they have set their hearts on the things above, serving the Lord’s purposes for their generation in the Land.

Pray for grace and for the love of God to be manifest in each of these lives, that they emit the sweet aroma of the Lord to all whose paths they cross. Pray for favor in their jobs, with officials and in every place their feet shall tread. Protection from the enemies of the gospel, in the name of the LORD.

Pray for fearlessness in the face of enemies: “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto Your servants, that with all boldness they may speak Your word, By stretching forth Your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of Your holy son Yeshua.” Acts 4:29-30

Thank God He is building His Body in the Land of Israel and even though there is resistance to acceptance, He will surely join us all into One Body – “For the body is not one member, but many…. now God has set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased Him.” 1 Cor 12: 14, 18

Thank God for the vast spiritual treasures of the Word of the LORD that the servants of Yeshua have to share with the worldwide Body of Messiah/Christ - And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:3

Israeli ministries continue to ask for prayers for rain – the natural resource so precious and scarce in the region is also called for in the spiritual manifestation too. Send your rain, O God, upon the dry ground of Israel – drops of rain from Heaven for the parched soil of the earth and the hearts!

The vision of so many Israeli ministries is of necessity one of “rescue” – the reality of the ministries is both within and without congregations, families are struggling economically. Thank God for the resources the Church sends for these ministries to be a blessing.

Pray also for those ministries who are operating as Yeshua’s SWAT teams rescuing struggling families, single moms, the homeless, the addicted, the immigrants who have not been able to secure a good start in their new homeland. These are labor intensive, labor of love ministries making a difference in so many lives. Grace & provision be released in the name of the LORD!

Parenting from a biblical perspective is a challenge for the congregations of Israel. Pray for those who labor among the children, also with instructive teaching of parents by word and deed. As the sapling is bent, the tree will grow. Pray for the nurturing hands that are shaping this generation of believing children.

One of the major reasons why peace negotiations are so difficult between Israel and the Palestinians is because of the hatred that is drummed into children from the cradle to the grave. This is gross darkness and the believers who are raising their children in the love and admonition of the LORD stand as the answer and the contrast to such evil.

Among the enemies of the gospel – the Jewish anti-missionaries/anti-Messianic – children are also trained from an early age to hate. Pray for these tender young souls for Yeshua to appear to them in His love and set them free from the bondage of hate.

Pray for justice in the courts regarding the cases of Messianics and Christian citizens in Israel – it is not a sterling record of acting in judgment. Pray for the December cases which the Ortiz family and the Beckford family will be again before judges. Justice to break through in both cases.

Thank God for the technology to get out the documentation and communication about persecutions going on in Israel. Pray that more and more eyes awaken to the truth and take a stand for what is right and just for “the holy land” to bear witness to.

Many Israeli and Jewish religious sources will deny the truth of the 2010 State Dept Religious Freedom Report. Others will claim it is within the right of the Jewish State to demand the Messiah not be preached. Christians should not let either of those opinions sway you into compromise. For all Israel to be saved, all Israel must hear the gospel of Messiah Yeshua. It is that simple.

Thank God for those Israeli believers who are walking the fine line of standing for justice in their religious freedoms, and maintaining love for their countrymen . Pray for grace and for the believers of the nations to uphold their arms.

Pray for the mercies of the Lord to cover all those Israeli ministries who are traveling in the nations – for those with health issues that the LORD would touch and heal to the uttermost; for new connections to be made and old associations to be renewed.

Thank the Lord for each and every one of Yeshua’s servants in Israel who are carrying His name to family, friends and neighbors. Pray the Lord would meet every need and guide every step in their path.

Pray for the cry of the hearts of those who are estranged from some family members, who know the pain of children or other family members who have walked away from Messiah – that God would return thee prodigals to their senses, that they might return to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Moshe Morrison is the Associate Congregational Leader at Tents of Mercy alongside Eitan Shishkoff in Kiryat Yam. We caught Moshe last Shabbat preaching at Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue on The Despised Servant and were reminded once again how these humble servants of the Lord are ministering to their countrymen, truly representing the “Despised One.” Moshe reveals that the only way Israel can fulfill its destiny is if the Servant of God becomes the focus of the nation. May we pray and believe for that day to come.

Last week the news carried a report of two Israeli pilots who lost their lives in an crash during a simulated aerial battle. One of the airmen was Messianic believer Emmanuel Levi. Pray for Levi’s family who are mourning the loss of the 30 year old, that they may be comforted that the sting of death is removed as Emmanuel crossed into the kingdom of Light by faith in Messiah Yeshua.

Pray for the Korean filmmakers shedding light on the tsarah – the tribulation – of the Jewish and Arab indigenous believers of Israel. The stories of their different adversities and adversaries is opening the Korean church to a new level of understanding and appreciation for the Body in Israel that we pray will spread north, south, east and west.

David and Leah Ortiz, have provided a description (see below prayer summary)of what viewers are seeing in the trailer of the Forgiven, which is about the Palestianian believers in Israel.

Restoration is the film documenting the Jewish believers in Israel.
Restoration pt 1
Restoration pt 2

Maoz Israel has also produced a film about the terror bombing of Ami Ortiz by religious zealot Jack Teitel who is due in court next month for a hearing to determine if he is mentally fit for trial. He is, but will he stand trial? Watch this video an pray

Pray for a very dear lady who ministers her heart out in Nahariya and beyond, to any and all, Jew or Arab – one of the original pioneer believer ministries in Israel. It is an unspoken prayer request of one who cites Psalm 109:22, “I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.”

Pray for a very dear lady in Arad who has stood for the Name of the LORD against several years of continual pressures from anti-missionaries. Pray for healing that is needed for the body to refresh from extensive travel and for grace in court ‘trials’ as they continue under house arrest w/persecution.

Pray for the congregations who have no place to meet that God will provide places that will be a blessing to their people and their communities. Pray for those who are battling with the Interior Ministry which is still seeking to oust believers from the country.

Continue to pray for all the believers in the north of Israel as the border with Lebanon continues to be of concern with because of the Hizballah-Syria-Iran triad. Pray also for the protection of all the Christian Arab believers in Gaza and the West Bank, as Hamas continues the power struggle with the Palestinian Authority. “The climate of violence is growing all over the Middle East, and Israel is not excluded.”

This month an article from the Hebrew press quoted the Beer Sheva Rabbi Deri (whom the court decided was NOT responsible for the violent mob takeover of the Messianic congregation) admitting he orders anti-missionary teams to disrupt any activities of Messianic believers in Beer Sheva. The article is full of lies (like claims of non-violent pressure) but worth reading. It is smoking gun evidence the court ignored and resulting in exactly what we thought: emboldened, openly targeting by anti-missionaries. Watch this report

Messianic Jews are sharing their faith in Israel’s Messiah with Jews all over the world…and Jews are coming to faith. Many in the Church are not expecting this to happen until after Jesus returns for them but the fact of the matter is the salvation of “all Israel” has already begun and it amounts to way more than a drop in the bucket! Speak according to Ezekiel 37:9-14 “And I AM shall put My spirit in you, and you shall live”

A new blog from Ron Cantor relates an inspirational story from our faith history that challenges us today to be prepared to step out of our comfort zone and give our all to the kingdom of the Lord. Pray we all enter into greater depths of giving ourselves to His bidding.

Messianic Jews preaching the good news have been given unique opportunities to minister in areas of great historic significance with mistreatment of Jews. These nations have a destiny to lead the way of reconciliation and healing. Pray for these nations and the Jewish believers who are making important BODY connections in places like Germany and Spain.

Rain is still a critical issue on the prayer list as the rainy season of Israel has begun. Pray for natural and spiritual outpouring to replenish and revive.

Most leaders who work for a ministry in western nations are used to drawing a paycheck from the ministry. This is not the reality for most Israeli ministries who must raise their support by a variety of means including laboring in additional jobs. Pray for the Lord to meet all these needs – that these leaders may focus on the ministry and the word. Blessing of employment for congregants!

Pray for the leadership teams in all of the Israeli ministries at this time. For grace, refreshing and renewed visions. For healing, for restoration and reconciliation – for the unspoken cries within hearts to be answered and manifested: "Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him" (1 Samuel 1:17).

Pray for Shani & Kobi of Yeshua Israel as they put the final touches on a new worship project and that God would anoint the CD to penetrate hearts.

Scene description of the Korean movie about the trials of Palestinian believers in Israel. Thanks to David & Leah Ortiz
________________________________________

A second movie is now ready to be released in Korea on Nov. 17th, made by the same film company who produced "Restoration" . The new movie is called "Forgiveness" and centers on Muslims who have become believers in the Messiah, their resulting change of attitude toward the Jewish people and Israel, and the persecution they endure for becoming followers of Yeshua. Again, David was instrumental in helping the film crew to organize interviews and scenes in the movie, and appears in several scenes of the new movie as well. They have put a new trailer on You Tube, and it is powerful! Here is the link

SCENE DESCRIPTIONS and just to describe what you will be seeing, because even though some of the interviews are in English, subtitles are in Korean for the narration and those speaking Arabic and Hebrew.

The trailer opens with the scene of a Palestinian protest against a security fence being set up, and the ensuing confrontation against Israeli soldiers. This is the Korean's on location footage, not taken from the news. You will notice that there are many non-Palestinians involved who come to Israel to support Palestinian causes and to disregard and to try to overrule Israeli authority.

After an interview in English, the next scene is an interview with a Palestinian (wearing a Kafia). He is declaring that the Jews have no place in the land, and that they should leave.

The next scene shows foreign journalists right in the middle of the action. The shooting and explosions you hear are from rubber bullets and tear gas being fired.

Next you will see part of an interview taken of Taysir Abu Saada, wearing a red and white striped shirt, who in his past was a sniper for the PLO and Yasser Arafat. He had a miraculous conversion to Yeshua the Messiah and wrote a book called "Once an Arafat Man" which we highly recommend. (If any are interested, you can order it on Amazon.com) It is being distributed all around the world in many languages. You can see an extended interview with Tass on line using this link

The next scene of the trailer shows an interview with Justus Weiner, from the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, which is a prestigious think tank in Jerusalem, and the base for many studies that are published by scholars such as Justus, defending Israel, her policies and in Justus case among many other studies that he's published, the plight of ex-Muslim and Arab Christians living under Palestinian Authority rule. Justus documented very well the arrest and torture of many ex-Muslims by the PA, whose only crime was leaving Islam for faith in Yeshua. Achmed, whom he is talking about, was a part of our group of ex-Muslim believers in Samaria. He was murdered for his faith in his village by a terror organization.

In the next scene you will see David on Mt. Gerizim (Gen. 11:29 and 27:14; Joshua 8;33 John 4;20-24 ) in Samaria which overlooks the city of Shechem, one of the first cities Abraham came to when he came into the land. The scene shows a meeting of the underground church of ex-Muslims. When the leader of the group saw the cameras and the film crew, he was frightened, but David told him that these were friends and they could be trusted. You see David telling him to gather the other believers back because they had run away when they saw the cameras.

The next scene is a re-enactment of the murder of Rami Ayyad in Gaza. His wife is narrating and relating how her husband was killed for evangelizing Muslims. David met Rami several times before his death. The next scene shows his funeral. You can see and read excellent reports on Rami's murder on the links below: (Hebrews 11:36-38) here and here

In the next scene is another underground meeting of ex-Muslim believers somewhere in the West Bank. Their faces have to be blurred for their safety.

The scene of the olive grove with rocks in a circle is one of the underground churches where David meets with the ex-Muslim believers in our area.

The team that comes to Israel every year with the Waller family to serve Israel's farmers are shown next in the trailer.

In the next scene the man holding the camera is the film's director, Bradley Kim. When the protest became violent, and tear gas had to be used you see the film crew covering their faces with cloths.

The next interview features Naim Khoury who is the Pastor of a Church in Bethlehem. He was shot three times by Muslim extremists for being evangelistic. We know the man personally, and have witnessed a huge transformation in his spiritual life over the years.

The next interview is of a brother from the Bethlehem area. He is from an Arab Christian family. During the first intifada, (1987-1993) it was and still is today, the practice of radical Muslims to go in between the Christian houses in Christian neighborhoods, and to attack Israeli soldiers from among the Christian homes. Then the ones that had carried out the attacks (rocks, firebombs, etc) would run away from the house leaving the soldiers to think that the Christians were the ones who carried out the attacks. That was unfortunately the case with this brother, a truly born-again believer, and he was mistakenly identified as a terrorist by the army and was beaten. He gives his testimony, and talks about the fact that he forgave the soldiers.

The next interview is with Alex Awad, a Pastor in Bethlehem that had to overcome much bitterness.

An interview follows with a Palestinian sister, who is a good friend of ours. She has a tremendous, testimony of forgiveness for the Jewish people and is the mother of the one who was mistakenly identified as a terrorist. When the family tried to come to their son's rescue, they were beaten as well, but they had a supernatural revelation of forgiveness. The sister had an encounter with an angel who ministered the message of forgiveness to her.

The foot washing scene is between Jews and Arabs, believers in Yeshua, coming together to wash each others feet and to stand together as One New Man.

As you will be able to see, the last scene is very unique. Usually the walls in Arab villages are covered with graffiti expressing political messages of hate. The Koreans uniquely used the same wall for the title of the movie - Forgiveness.

Once again, we thank the Producer Joanne Lee, the director Bradley Kim and their crew, for putting themselves into the midst of the fire to tell the real story of faith in the Holy Land.

Despite our fragmented current appearance, we are one Body being built together as Yeshua prayed that we might be one as He and the Father are One. Hear O Israel, Hear O Church.

"Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh...were without Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Messiah Yeshua, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one...having abolished in His flesh the enmity...so as to create in Himself one new man from the two....

"Now, therefore, you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Messiah Yeshua himself being the chief corner stone;

"In whom all the building fitly framed together grows into a holy temple in the Lord: In whom you also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."

To the outside world whose only exposure to Israel is what they see on the nightly news, it looks like a scarily violent environment – a place you wouldn’t want to visit. In pockets and times there are isolated flare-ups but even when flare-ups are happening, throughout Israel life is mostly normal and pleasant. (Except with the tension of knowing at any moment, peace could be shattered.)

The same is true of religious persecution against believers. The rising tide of anti-Messiah persecution is coming from a small pocket of aggressors and mostly targeting certain areas. Most Israelis are normal and pleasant even to their believing neighbors – though law enforcement and the courts aren’t great holding religious persecutors to accountability. We don’t want to ever give the impression that all Israel is aggressively hostile to the faith. It is important to know most Israelis are not mean to believers.

The minority of anti-Messiah activists is still a growing problem in Israel. They are pushing the envelope and again have disregarded life in the Molotov cocktail arson of an Arab Christian church that sits on the edge of ultra-Orthodox neighborhood Mea Shearim.

Pray for the unity of the whole Body in Israel and out with those who are victims of religious terrorism. Whether it comes from Hamas or Yad L’Achim, our duty is to stand with our brothers and openly support and advocate for justice.

Please pray for truth to prevail and for the perpetrators to be caught. The lack of justice in cases of religious persecution will result in an increase of persecution and violent acts against followers of Yeshua in the Land.

Please pray for the truth of the arson to be officially acknowledged, as this will affect things such as insurance coverage. Pray also for the unity of the Body as a 'voice' of love for each other and a witness to all the onlookers.

A certain anti-missionary website has become a sort of clearinghouse for targeting different believer ministries in Israel. If they write about an Israeli Messianic, it is like saying “Sic ‘em!” to the attack dogs.

Pray for those unfairly accused. Ministries with natural appeal to young people are especially vulnerable to accusation because of Israeli laws forbidding sharing with those under the age of 18.

A Messianic attorney for the Jerusalem Institute of Justice is also under a anti-Messiah attack by Yad L’Achim trying to raise hysteria that he is becoming too accepted in political circles. Meanwhile the JIJ has been involved in funding a school lunch program and also in shutting down a human trafficking ring operating in Israel. Terrible, huh?

In the lead of several anti-missionary organizations are people who once proclaimed faith in Yeshua. Pray for Pnina and Benjamin who have fallen from faith and become particularly virulent against the believers.

Pray for the believers who serve in the IDF and also for those who work in reconciliation of the difficult differences that exist between the Jewish and Arab believers in Yeshua in Israel. For example, the widespread conviction among Arab believers that military service is sinful. Tough areas to reconcile even between parties who desire reconciliation strongly. Pray for them.

The organizers of the Israel-wide Harvest Youth Camp during Chanukah (Dec 5-7) are asking for prayers as the counselors, messages and logistics are already underway. Always, the finances are an issue for prayer so all may attend, as well as heart preparation for a deep work of the Spirit.

There are ministries developing strategies and ministry for the believers in Israel to be able to improve in the marketplace – business initiatives, occupational counsel, getting out of debt, excelling in products and service. “when Israeli believers are too dominated by financial pressure they become defeated and are much less able to make disciples” Pray for God’s blessing on all these practical ministry measures.

A nation of immigrants, Israel can be a tough place to earn a living. For many, it is a major step down from not only their earning ability but also their occupation. Many of the ministries have congregations full of these immigrants from Russia, Ethiopia and diverse places. HaTikvah, the Hope, is the national anthem, but in the congregations of the Messiah, hope is experiencing that someone cares even of their poverty.

Each of the ministries understand that practical help is a desperate need of many in their communities, so humanitarian outreach covers everything from providing food, clothing and shelter for the needy and centers where substance abusers can find deliverance and get grounded on the Rock. Many give to traditional rabbis who also feed, clothe and shelter, but do not introduce those being blessed to the Giver of Life. Pray for a reconsideration of priorities in the church on this matter.

Is the UN worth anything? I haven’t seen anything good come out of it for years, only evil and hypocrisy. This is the case in the UN body charged with preserving historical sites deciding to declare Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem and the Patriarchs Cave in Hebron as Palestinian mosques (Muslim). One Israeli ministry noted, UNESCO did this the same week that religious Jews read the Torah portion where Abraham insists on paying full price for the Machpelah cave – 400 shekels (Genesis 23).

Radical Islam, which has been the real reason that Israel has not been able to negotiate peace with her Arab neighbors, has spread like a virulent infection across the globe. It seems every nation is battling to some degree the Islamist agenda to overtake and become the dominant rule.

Every nation is partaking in the hell that Israel has battled against since 1948 while the nations held Israel partially, if not fully, responsible. The spreading of jihad and Islamist evil will either awaken hearts in the nations to our hypocrisy toward Israel, or it will deepen the hypocrisy. Pray for the truth to set many free in regards to God’s will for Israel in these days.

Islam is now putting down deep roots in the United States even as it continues to make strong headway in Europe. According to Time Magazine there are already 2.5 million Muslims in the U.S., a hundred thousand more than live in Great Britain. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) claims that the real number of Muslims in the U.S. is seven million. Whatever the number, if the trend continues, Islam will very soon be a dominating force in all things American.

Priority Prayer Focus

Pray for all the believers in Israel – both Arab Christian and Messianic Jewish – who are increasingly targeted for violence by anti-missionary radicals. Pray for those radicals as well.

In his young manhood, the apostle Paul was a hatred-breathing persecutor of the first believer community in Israel. He had a dramatic turnaround when the Spirit of the Messiah appeared to him on the road to Damascus – pursuing the followers of Yeshua to drag them back to what he believed was their just reward for blasphemy against God.

Paul was spiritually blind, until God revealed the Son to him. This is also what we must pray for those pursuing our spiritual family in Israel. It does no one any good for us to be blind to the hatred of the persecutors. They are the ones who blind – not us! We pray acknowledging their sins against the brethren, not excusing their sins but asking for God to knock them off their high horse as He also did the apostle Paul. It is the true intercession of the Church for Israel in this day.

Ask for breakthrough in the greater Body of Christ worldwide in seeing what is happening to our spiritual family members in Israel. A century old Jerusalem church was firebombed that sits on the edge of an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood. Tourists sleeping inside the hostel portion escaped but it is a clear increase in violence ….that has barely been reported inside or outside of Israel.

In 2008 the U.S. Embassy in Tev Aviv sent a classified report to the State Department detailing the increase of Yad L’Achim and related groups increasing violence against believes. This is a true report you can access it here. Pray for the truth of this report not to be suppressed or disbelieved among the Israel-supporting church.

Whoever falls under the targeting of anti-Messiah persecution in Israel, the Body in Israel stands together, knowing they are as One in the tribulations and in the joy of their labors in the harvest. Pray for grace and unshakable bonds. What the enemy has meant for evil to be turned to good.

Israel fears openly discussing the increase in ultra-Orthodox violence against the believers, that it will turn the Christian supporters of Israel against her.
She is willing to sacrifice the Body of Messiah for the good of Israel (sound familiar? John 18:14) In fact, the Israeli ministries have walked in agreement with this for many years – suffering silently.

Can the Church hold Israel accountable for how they treat the indigenous believers without tilting into the Christian anti-Semitism of the past? Those who are following Yeshua truly can. Can we pray into this?

The Israel supporting Church fears looking honestly at Israel – the good, the bad, the ugly – but if we really love Israel, we can’t help but look at them except through Yeshua’s eyes, who sees clearly into the heart of man and still lays down His life that they might find abundant life through Him. Pray spiritual courage in the hearts of the Church and divided hearts be united.

One Israeli pastor this week speaks of Quiet Desperation or Passionate Involvement. Surrounded by those living in quiet desperation we do have the choice of passionate involvement that pierces the darkness. Do we choose this, or the illusion of comfort?

Another brother spoke this week of our lack of value for emotional integrity, honesty, and transparency in our relationships in the Body. He asked how honest are we about our feelings towards our brethren? How honest are we about our thoughts about how they feel about us? Challenging us to reconcile, dig deeper.

Another wedding between dedicated young Israelis who labor in Yeshua’s Israeli harvest. Mazal Tov to Mr & Mrs A.

“Who Ate Lunch with Abraham”
is a new book in English written by Asher Intrater on the multitude of appearances of Yeshua in the Hebrew Old Covenant scriptures. It is an important work that show the Old and New Covenant Scriptures are an inseparable whole in presenting Yeshua. Pray for this work that will be as helpful to Christians as it also is in witnessing to traditional religious Jews.

Cancer is under the feet of Yeshua/Jesus. Please speak the death of all cancer cells in the bodies of a new believer in Tel Aviv, as well as the Mayor of Ariel, Ron Nachman, who has always been so fair and supportive to the Ortiz family in good times and bad. Pray for healing – a powerful touch of God that leaves life-changing witness in the lives of these men and their families.

We are a global village of people who are united with the will of the LORD for His beloved Body of Messiah in Israel. What links us together is the thing that God has stirred in our hearts toward the precious believers in Israel – Jew or Arab – they are precious in His sight and in ours. It is a blessing to know God’s heart in this matter to share in their labors and to pray for their needs. Body life.

Pray for the Beckford’s who are under a stress as the Israeli court hearing their case is not making much of fairness in the proceedings. Let the prayers of the saints encircle them, keeping them in peace.
