Pray for Ami Ortiz – a toe surgery that was supposed to be the simplest surgery to date, did not go well. Pray for blood to flow in that toe and whatever damage was done to be healed by the miracle touch of the LORD.

Pray for what happened to Ami not to be obscured from the awareness of the Israeli public. It has been reported more in Israel in English than in Hebrew, the latter, of course, is the language of the majority of Israeli citizens.

Pray for the underground religious extremists who have taken vengeance into their own hands – attempts to murder those they consider sinners, from Messianic Jews to Liberal Professors to Homosexual and Lesbians young people. As Saul in Acts 9 “breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord” pray for a Damascus Road experience to fall on them, changing their misdirected zeal.

Pray for the Israeli Messianic Jewish and German Christian teens who are together “Hand in Hand” through Auschwitz / Birkenau – for the reality of God’s forgiveness to impact these strategic young people.

Please continue to pray for Messianic IDF soliders speaking grace, favor, protection and valor over them.

Thank God for the miracles of healing and recovery for those the doctors have declared on death’s doorstep. Thank God He is showing Himself mighty to heal and mighty to save – stirring more faith to believe for others in need of healing and salvation.

The “Elav” Youth and Young Adult Conference at Succat Hallel begins on Thursday. Pray for every need to be met and a great stirring of the Spirit among the young people.

It has been a summer of WEDDINGS among the up-and-coming generation Israeli Messianic believers. Mazal Tov to Odeliah, daughter of Israeli pastor Avraham Ben Hod, and Heskel, firstborn son of Asher and Betty Intrater, to marry this week.

Fear of the Lord is the word undergirding many of the conferences and meetings that will be taking place in Israel over the month of September as Israel’s Messianic leaders seek Him ahead of the coming appointed Fall Feasts of the Lord. Pray for these gatherings – that the SPIRIT would hover over them in a profound manifestation.

Pray for the leaders who are planning the solemn assembly to be held in the Messianic moshav, or village, of Yad HaShmonah on Rosh HaShana (9/20). Congregations from across Israel will come to fast and pray before the Lord for the salvation of the nation of Israel. We are invited to join our prayers with theirs.

Thank God for His favor within the Churches with properties in Israel towards the Messianic believers in granting use of those properties to fulfill visions given by God. Pray that more churches will show more favor – truly becoming partners in the labor of love in the vineyard of the Lord in Israel.

Pray that those Christians looking to make an eternal investment will awaken to the opportunities to invest in Israel – where houses and other properties may be bought as an investment for Messianic families and ministries to use – places where they will not be evicted because of their faith in Jesus.

Pray for the young men and women who are running with the Isaiah vision to the nations: “For the torah will go forth from Zion, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.” Resources to run with the vision, signs and wonders to follow the WORD. The testimony of Jewish believers in Messiah Jesus is POWERFULLY PERSUASIVE!

Ministries everywhere are feeling the pinch of the traditional summer slowdown with economic recession to make it even more difficult. BUT GOD! We live in a kingdom that is NOT STRAPPED FOR CASH! Declare resources over all the Israeli ministries – that budgets SHALL be met and blessing leftover in the name of Yeshua!

Pray for Pnina Conforti who won the Supreme Court ruling that her bakery cannot be denied kashrut licensing yet the rabbinic authorities refuse to comply. Pray for the fund that must take this contempt of court case back to the Supreme Court – not just for the bakery, but for all the Messianic business rights to be preserved.

Speak blessing on the Israeli ministries who are ministering in the name of Yeshua to the citizens of Israel, and who are speaking the truth to the nations about Israel. God’s priority in Israel is for His presence to abide in the midst
of His people - the Door to that reality is through salvation by faith in Yeshua, Israel’s Messiah.

Pray for many to hear the appeal to do onsite prayer intercession for the final sessions (Nov with judge’s ruling in Dec) of the Beer Sheva trial involving the hostile takeover of Howard Bass’ congregation in 2005. This is a critical
trial – not unlike the trial the apostle Paul appealed for. This is for the gospel of kingdom in Israel.

Pray for outrageous lies against Israel to be countered by the truth especially in the latest outrage from the Swedish press accusing IDF soldiers of harvesting organs from Palestinian dead. Even though it seems there are too many lies – too many fires that can’t all be put out – the people of God must never cease to speak the truth into our societies. We must pray, but we must also rise up in holy boldness and speak truth to those with ears to hear.

A last minute report has come in just as I am ready to mail this out from Lura Beckford in Arad. I will give the full report next week but a new Judge has denied lifting Eddie’s house arrest. The Judge was open to lifting the house arrest IF the police agreed; they did not but admitted Knessett members were pressuring police about the case but would not identify which (like it takes a genius to figure out it would be religious Knesset members!). In the case of Eddie’s permanent residency, the Judge has ruled that the Interior Ministry must comply and have accepted Eddie’s application for permanent residency. Pray that this will be issued and not have to return to court to get his permanent visa. Pray for all these legal harassments – and for God to return Israel’s judges as at the first!

Pray for the focus of the Church today in regards to Israel to align perfectly with the Lord’s focus.

Thank God that last week when Israel went on high alert and citizens were filled with dread over the report of an IDF soldier kidnapping that the prayer request went out worldwide; the report finally proved to be wrong; and Israelis drew strength from the immediate, massive and comprehensive security measures

Pray for Ron Cantor who will be swimming in a 3.5K meet across the Sea of Galilee to raise funds for the Isaiah 2 Initiative training young Israelis in evangelism leadership in Nigeria at the end of the year.

Pray for the Beckford’s whose attorney is appealing their house arrest on Aug 19. Pray for the house arrest to be lifted, a trip out of Israel to be granted, and for the Interior Ministry to act legally by following the Judge’s ruling they must give Eddie permanent residence.

Pray for the shepherds of Israel – the pastoral staffs in all the congregations who are building up the Body of Messiah throughout the Land of Israel. Pray for all the new babies – physical and spiritual – and all the new married believers. Shepherds after God’s own heart in every congregation and home group.

Thank God for blessing the children in the many camps this summer. Pray for them all to be filled with the life of God and to fulfill the mighty destinies God has for them.

Pray for a ministry facility open to the congregations of southern Israel. Pray for the upcoming Congress of the Negev they will host next month.

Pray for good response to the call for intercessors to come to spiritually prepare the way for the return to court in November of the Beersheva case – for justice that will have ramification for the whole Israeli Body. Also for the Judge’s ruling in December.

Pray for the material blessings needed by all of the ministries to be met. In God we trust.

Pray for “the believers of Israel” to go from being a just a phrase or a concept in the minds of Israel supporting Christians and intercessors, to real people. Do you know what I’m saying here? Real bonds of relationship and family ties to blossom more and more unto fruit-bearing.

Pray for the many testimonies from believers that are being shared in the Israeli media this year – for fruit to come forth. Of all the Messianic Jews in the nations, none will be ultimately as impactful spiritually as the Israeli Body. Please keep them in your prayers and break the lid the enemy is trying to keep on them.

Pray for the mom and dad in a coastal congregation whose son committed suicide 2 weeks ago. Pray they will let their shepherds pastor them as they are racked with grief and shame; for Yeshua’s healing.

Pray for the lighthouses – the outreaches throughout Israel by believers letting the light of Yeshua shine through them. Pray for the work done to bless needy kids, single mothers, women suffering from the painful guilt of abortions – all the tragic wounds of life common to us all.

Praise God for churches that own in Israel properties to open them to the indigenous believers for the establishment of visions God has given. Places of refuge, communal living, ministry for healing, restorations and intercession. For such a time as this!

Pray for every financial need to be met for the ELAV (Unto Him) Youth and Young Adults conference coming up.

Pray for the Daniel anointing and favor on the Messianic attorneys who represent the Body of Messiah in Israel, and in issues of civil rights, freedom of religion and social justice.

Continue to lift up all the traveling ministries – for fruitful ministry and connections with churches. For many more eyes in the Church to be opened to how God is really using the BODY of the LORD in ISRAEL to being about His purposes for ALL ISRAEL in our days.

Pray for the contrast between darkness and light to be clearly discerned and the hidden things exposed.
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

Pray for the anointing of praise arising from Israeli worship ministries and blessing upon the recordings whose music cries out before the throne of God for the salvation of Israel.

Join in agreement with the prayers of Israeli believers for their Arab and Persian neighbors to thirst for freedom, Pray for the protection of their church leaders and of the Jewish populations in these nations; and for God to reveal His Son a revelation that no man can put a stop to.

Continue to pray for the discussions among the elders of the Israeli Messianic leaders as to the place of Jewish tradition in the life of believers. Whether the worldwide Messianic movement realizes it or not – the precedent for all will come out of these spiritual determinations in Jslm.

Praise the Lord that He is giving young men visions of Yeshua like He gave the apostle Paul. Pray for these visions to be multiplied among Jews, Arabs, Druze, Bedouin and Persians.

Thank God that He is positioning His servants in places of influence for the days of outpouring which are coming as surely as rain that waters the earth. Pray for favor, anointing and strategic alliances to pave the way for God-given visions to be filled.

Pray that the Messianic Guest Houses and Bed & Breakfasts would continue to be filled throughout the tourist season in Israel. Blessing on those resources and favor in the community & with authorities.

Thank God for conference Josh McDowell brought to the Israeli Arab believers last month and for the response when Christian Arab ministries gave out Bibles, DVDs and other materials: “Many of the people asked us, ‘Is this about Jesus?” and eagerly accepted the materials – hungry for the gospel.

Pray for the Arab Christian churches, for the ministries, for financial resources, for God’s protection, for favor among the people, opening of spiritual eyes and hearts to ‘Isa (Yeshua/Jesus).

Nicodemus was a leader in Israel in the days if Yeshua ‘s earthly ministry. He came to Yeshua in the night to enquire of salvation. There are many Nick at Night’s among the secular and religious Israeli Jews and Arabs. Pray that God would cause their eyes of their hearts to see and embrace the Truth.

Pray for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to have ears to hear the cry for justice in the Ami Ortiz attempted murder by terror bomb case. Pray for Israelis to see the difference between those seeking to force their religious will on others, and those merely desiring to exercise their faith.

Pray for the call to intercessors to come to the Land to pray ahead of the continuation of the Beer Sheva trial (Nov) and the ruling of the Judge in Dec. to be heard by those the Lord wants onsite. Pray for Howard and Randi, their attorneys, the judge and the local leaders – be led forth by the Spirit.

Pray for the Isaiah 2 Initiative, an Israeli Messianic outreach of the gospel to Nigeria. Pray for the teams of young people who will participate who are being prepared for ministry leadership; for all costs to be covered and much fruit to come from this joint evangelistic project.

Continue to pray for the congregations who are either searching for new locations or rehabbing the locations they have found. Favor, wisdom, negotiating skills and the mind of the Lord for every step.

Pray for those Messianic Jewish attorneys who are laboring in social justice law, as well as Israeli freedom of religion and civil rights law. It may surprise many Christians but in Israel, it is the religious who pose the greatest threat to religious freedoms, civil rights and social justice. Pray Daniel’s anointing!

Anti-missionary groups are becoming more aggressive in monitoring the communications of Israeli believers and those who support them. Pray that no weapon formed against the believes shall prosper and every tongue that rises in condemnation of them be null and voided.

As anti-missionary groups work against Messianic Jewish believers whom they consider more dangerous than “Hamas” those tied to them in religious convictions continue to aggressively seek to win over the Orthodox and young people to more extreme ultra-Orthodox viewpoints. Pray many will be set free.

Speak peace between Israel’s Arabs and Jews. There is a peace only attainable as the Prince of Peace abides in our hearts, but there is also a peace God can give for the work of the ministry to be forwarded among men. Speak both on the peoples of Israel and in the Palestinian-controlled lands.

Two groups in Israel have been receiving a lot of media coverage recently – the Messianics have received unusually fair-minded coverage – although mostly only in the English editions. The ultra-Orthodox have received much negative press because of involvement in illegal activities or attempting to coerce Israeli society to its religious standards. But as popular Jewish counselor Shmuley Boteach wrote recently in the Jerusalem Post, “Godly is as godly does.”

There is a striking contrast between darkness and light that is becoming strongly evident in Israel. Those who love truth and light will be drawn to it, and those that have not received a love for the truth will seek to persecute those who walk in it. Pray for the distinctions to be clear to Israelis, that they may choose Light.

Ron Cantor writes: Almost every day I ask the Lord to give me favor with believers and unbelievers alike. I begin my day expecting the favor of God. I don’t expect this because I am special or better than anyone else and I certainly don’t deserve it. I expect it because it is promised to those who follow Him – His hand of blessing and favor on my life: “You will be blessed more than any other people.” (Deut. 7:14) “You surround them with your favor as with a shield.” (Ps. 5:11-12) Even in Israel, an environment that can be hostile to believers, we can expect favor. The early believers lived in a far more hostile environment and the book of Acts speaks of them, “praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.” (Acts 2:47) “Moses sought the favor of the Lord,” (Ex. 33:12) we read in the Torah. Let me encourage you to pray for favor, expect favor and enjoy the favor of the Lord.

Pray for the recent graduates of the Revive Israel Discipleship School and for the ministries the blessed by helping in their final week of service: A Tel Aviv outreach ministry to street prostitutes; a food and medical care center for sick, addicted homeless men; a Negev home ministry to orphans.

Pray for the Beer Sheva Kids Camp to exceed expectations and minister deeply to children of believer families.

Praise God for the exciting testimonies of words of knowledge and healings given to those obediently ministering in their communities. Pray for lasting fruit to be borne.

Thank God for establishing new congregations in Israel and causing increase. It is said there are some 120 congregations in Israel…and many other house groups meeting. Fill them each with the power, presence and anointing of God to bring Israelis to faith.

Pray for the summer outreaches on the Mediterranean beaches.

Pray for the continuing connections between Israeli and German believers. This is an ongoing networking of spiritual significance and impact.

Pray for the many outreaches of the congregations operating in Israel – for these to be “fruitful fields”. In these dog days of summer (when even the dogs don’t want to be outside), pray for those ministering – anointing, wisdom and endurance.

Praise God for delivering His children from the snare of the fowlers! An unjust judgment has been broken for one Israeli ministry. Pray for others to be lifted out of unjust entanglements.

Thank God for FAVOR given to Israeli Ministry Leaders and all the Believers in all their endeavors. Thank God for making a way where there is no way – for making straight the paths before them and prospering them in that way. Every need met in Yeshua’s name.

Thank God that He is getting glory from the character and integrity of the believers in Israel – including the recent high school grads about to enter their military service. Bless them and keep them, cause Your countenance to shine upon them and in them.

Strengthen Eddie and Lura Beckford in Arad for the great strain they are under with harassment and injustice. Cause their spirits to be built up and refreshed by Living Waters, give them songs of deliverance and a banquet table in the presence of their enemies.

Help the Beckfords, the Ortiz’, the Bass’, the Figeuras’ and so many others who have been enduring persecutions to lay hold of the treasures of Yeshua’s mind, who for the joy set before Him endured …..”Count it all joy” becomes a reality to those who stand in true persecutions.

Thank God for the laborers in the Lord’s Israeli harvest who are willing to minister among the “unlovely”. Speak blessings of refreshing upon their heads.

Pray for the ultra-Orthodox whose eyes are blinded from true holiness and righteousness. Pray for the scales to fall from their eyes and for a revelation of Yeshua’s salvation to come.

Pray for the healing of eyes – and other physical infirmities touching the Body in Israel.

Continuous drought has Israelis on water restrictions and paying 3 times above the normal cost which raises prices also on all produce. Pray for resources for those household expenses and for rain in the due season coming to be plentiful.

Continue to pray for revival among the Arab people, anointing on all the Arab Christian ministers and believers and protection over them from all plots of the enemy against them.

Congratulations to Dr. Dan Juster who was awarded the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations Lifetime Sacrifice and Service Award on July 25th 2009 in recognition of his visionary and tireless efforts on behalf of the Messianic Jewish movement and as the “human architect” of the UMJC. Dr. Dan is truly an apostolic figure in our times, an “Elder Statesman” in our eyes and most deserving of this honor bestowed by his fellow Messianic Jewish brothers.
