1. A renewed campaign of persecuting Messianic Jewish believers is rising in Israel. This will be a focus for some time to come.
2. Unspoken prayers are catching our attention as a priority at this time. There is always more going on in the undercurrent or on a personal level than the believers can share publicly. The things that come to mind while you are praying for the Body in Israel are likely the unspoken needs.
3. Pray for the second generation of Israeli ministry leaders in the land. More and more are taking their places in positions of ministry and responsibility in the Body. Pray for every grace of the LORD to be upon them – so much will depend on them being comfortable in their own anointing and in their own feet being shod with the preparation of the gospel.

Thank God for the prayers of the saints on behalf of congregation in Jerusalem that is being targeted for ultra-orthodox ‘attention’. The demonstration fizzled, turnout was low and the believers stayed away until everyone departed. For the moment the immediate threat past, but your continued prayers are requested for there is surely more rounds to come. This is a planned campaign against believers in the Jerusalem area, so please keep this on your prayer lists in the weeks and months ahead.
Here are a few general directions to be praying:
1. Rising persecution in all its forms begins to silence those targeted by persecution. Pray for God to impart wisdom to know when to speak and when to keep silent.
2. Pray for those wrestling with visa situations based on anti-messianic activists spying on them and making illegal reports to the Interior Ministry.
3. Pray for those who are being targeted by “lawfare” – using the law to wage “warfare” against the believers by wearing them down with stress, expense, etc., of being dragged to court on bogus charges.
4. Pray for the media which is like the media everywhere: there are those seeking the facts of a matter and those who are working an agenda. Pray that as believers are standing in the face of persecutions, that the media who are seeking the truth will be drawn to these stories and communicate the true facts to the Israeli public. Many are in the valley of decision.
A young family man in a congregation near Haifa has received a critical head injury in a car accident and is in an induced coma. (This hits close to home, as earlier this year, my grandson suffered the same and he is still struggling back from the brain injury six months later). Pray for young "A", father of 2 small children and husband of "E", that God will restore him mentally and physically, and raise him up as a mighty testimony to the power of Yeshua to heal and God’s love for the saints. Pray for the medical expenses to be covered fully in the name of Yeshua.
A yet-to-be-born baby has been diagnosed in the womb with a grave, complicated heart defect. The doctors want to abort, but the couple say they will bring the child to birth in August. Pray for this family and for the child who will undergo several complex operations to correct the problem. They need a miracle.
A congregation in a town near Netanya is enlarging its tents – and covering the “widows & orphans” at the same time with a new house of refuge that will open in August. Pray for this work to come together under the favor and blessing of the LORD and to establish many in the days ahead in a solid walk. This is up-close-and-personal discipling in how to live godly that it sometimes takes for a person to pull through. Pray for all involved.
The refuge ministry actually touches three ministries we cover in Arrows from Zion – a congregation and two small individual ministries working to make a difference in the lives of Israelis seeking the answer to life. Pray for "O" & "T" as their families move into a new situation in order to model Titus 2:4-5 to the women taken under their wings.
Mazal tov to the pastors of the Wellspring Congregation (Kehilat Hamaayan), whose son, Lior married his childhood sweetheart from the believing youth camps 10 years ago. We pray often for these children’s and teen camps for believing families and this wedding is certainly a mighty testimony of answered prayer. These summer camps are so key in the life of a healthy Body in Israel. Listen to excerpts from the new worship CD from Lior.
Pray for the congregations who are in the process of purchasing new facility spaces or in continued remodeling of facilities. We know of several that could use an answer to prayer for finances and other practical needs. Even in lack these congregations know they are to expand – for many are coming and continue to come to Yeshua throughout Israel.
As the second generation of Messianic leaders are continuing to emerge in positions of responsibility, pray for these young men and women to be filled with the grace of God. They stand on the shoulders of their parents in the work of the LORD in the land of Israel, and each one is a unique expression of Yeshua’s love for their countrymen. Please pray over them for every blessing and for double portion anointing of their fathers and mothers.
Pray for ministry staffs – for the material needs to be met of those who are in ministry and support positions. This is often on-the-job training, so pray that these laborers would be blessed with the confidence to stand in their positions, receiving God’s grace to minister to the congregations.
Employment is such a great need among all the Israeli believers – all the time. They are not in a slump that just began a couple of years ago, but in a slump unique to Israel where immigrants from all over the world are coming, learning a new language and settling in to a homeland that is the eye of an international storm since its re-birth in 1948. Pray for God’s favor on the believers for work – and needs to be met for those who suffer persecution attacks on their jobs.
The pro-Life movement in Israel is making a difference as many congregations have women’s shelters where women can bring their pregnancy to full term. Pray for the new life and for the mothers to be rooted and grounded in the love of Messiah through the shelter of His servants.
Pray for Kay Wilson who survived a stabbing attack that took the life of her friend Kristin Luken. Kay continues to heal but as anyone can imagine, still needs full emotional healing from the trauma. Also the trial is not proceeding quickly, which is no doubt a stress. Pray for God to turn what was meant for evil in Kay’s life, to be turned into good for her and glory for Yeshua.
Pray also for the Ortiz family who are also being strung along in a trial that never seems to get where it is supposed to be going – to accountability for the murderer and attempted murderer, Jack Teitel, and toward justice for Ami and his family, as well as the Arab families of men Teitel murdered.

The people of God, whether you are a Messianic Jew, or a Christian among the nations, must walk a fine line – a narrow path – to remain in the will of God in relating to Israel. As the apostle Paul noted,
"Concerning THE GOSPEL they are enemies FOR YOUR SAKE, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers....Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy."
Mercy is NOT a state of denial, because then it becomes un-sanctified mercy. Pray that the Holy Spirit will help each of us to walk the fine line of unshakeable support for the State of Israel while holding Israel to account for how our spiritual family, the Israeli Body of Messiah, is treated by religious zealots. This is the narrow path that we must be able to enter in and walk without compromise.

There is not an Israeli ministry alive that does not know the prophetic reality that they will be persecuted for bearing the gospel to their nation, Israel. That does not mean we are not to communicate to the worldwide Body when it is occurring, or that the Church should not take steps to speak up and otherwise act in support of the Body of Messiah in Israel.
This week we begin with reports on the new campaign of Jerusalem traditional rabbis against the ministry of Asher Intrater’s Revive Israel. According to Asher’s trademark pithy writing style: “The spiritual attack of religious persecution is three fold: Rejection, Intimidation, and Defamation. You could say they are trying to get RID of us.”
The truth is there is a gap in the biblical narrative of the Book of Acts: The persecution of Israeli believers in the first century is recorded in Acts 1-28 and chapter 29 onward is being written by those who share the truth of the stories of Israeli believers today.
The testimony in scripture is clear – the Israeli Body of Messiah needs the prayers and the material support of the Church in the nations. (Read through Asher’s observations about persecution from the Book of Acts in the Weekly Summary.)
Eddie Santoro, also an elder of the Ahavat Yeshua congregation adds: “Please understand at this point that an attack against any Messianic believer in Israel is an attack against all Messianic believers….. We praise God for the victory (in court) but were filled with a foreboding that this is just the beginning of a major attack against the believing community in Jerusalem.” Santoro also speaks to the parallels with the first century believers in the Book of Acts.
Santoro: “…what happens to the believers here in Jerusalem will have a direct impact on the Kingdom of God throughout the world. So with all of our hearts, we ask you to enter into this battle with us. Now is the time for the Body of Messiah throughout the earth to arise and come to the defense of the Gospel in Israel. “
As the Jewish Body of Messiah in Israel must deal with Jewish enehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifmies of the gospel, so also the Arab Christians in Israel and the Palestinian controlled areas are under threat from Arab enemies of the gospel. The number one prayer request for the Arab team ministry is for the safety of their members. We have seen the extreme dangers they face in order to bring the gospel to their nation, and urge prayers be lifted toward our ABBA for all the Arab Christian ministries – for safety, provisions, wisdom, favor and blessing of God upon all the work of their hands.

Ron & Elana Cantor are transitioning the Messiah’s Mandate ministry from Tikkun Ministries (Juster/Intrater/Shishkoff) to the Sorko-Ram’s Maoz Ministries. The transition is a peace-filled one and Ron will be taking a lead role in the media vehicles of Maoz.
The Lotan’s, whose ministry sits on the “seam-line” of the pre-1967 Israel borders are issuing a call for three concentrated months of prayer and fastings into September when Palestinians have indicated they will declare statehood. Uzi points out that in forcing the U.S. to veto a U.N recognition of Palestine as a state, Palestine will be admitted to the U.N. as a State with no vote, by-passing the need to negotiate with Israel altogether. Maoz Israel is one organization that urges blessing first the household of faith in Israel.
Ruth Nessim has a new book for children that explains “The Passover Lamb” from a Messianic perspective. I was so delighted that Ruth sent me a copy of this beautifully written and illustrated children’s book. Unsurprisingly, she reports that it has been an effective witnessing tool even with some older Israelis she has given it to. Pray for Ruth who is currently preparing for a July-Aug tour of the U.K.
Ruth asks for continued prayer for the believers in Arad, where her daughter and son-in-law pastor a congregation that has been the target of much persecution. Also pray for the Arab lady with a newborn that Ruth has given shelter to. The father of the baby was just shot to death in an Arab villiage, “part of an on-going spiral of violence,” Ruth reports.
The Jerusalem Institute of Justice, which represented Asher Intrater and a couple from the congregation in court recently, not only represents the believers in court cases, but also represents Israel in the courts of public opinion. JIJ has announced a counter-demonstration of the UNHRC Duran III conference in NYC.
Some alarming information about how the great Bible program “Bible Gateway” is encouraging Christians to connect with un-saved Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein to help Christians discover the “Jewish roots of their faith and deepen their spiritual lives.” SAY WHAT?! Doesn’t this deserve a letter asking Bible Gateway GM Rachel Barach what is going on?
David Ortiz in Ariel wrote to us: “I had a dream several months ago that the tactics of many anti-Messianic groups was not to destroy Gentile Christians but to use them for their own benefit by dividing and conquering. I'll be writing to Bible Gateway, to express my alarming concern. These things do not help the Body but allow someone who is not a believer to shepherd and guide the kehilah that Yeshua died for.”

When all Israel accepted God’s covenant at Mt. Sinai with all its holy and righteous commandments, they did not realize what they were really committing to when they said, “Amen” to put themselves under the yoke of the Law. When all the [Jewish] people cried out that the blood of Jesus should be on them and on their children, they did not realize the consequences and power the words from out of their heart and mouths would carry throughout the generations and millennia.
Praise God! On the cross, our Savior, the Son of Man, called out to His Father – and the Father of Israel (Ex 4:22) – “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Lk 23:34)

The Blood of The New Covenant Is On The Jewish People

When all Israel accepted God’s covenant at Mt. Sinai with all its holy and righteous commandments, they did not realize what they were really committing to when they said, “Amen” to put themselves under the yoke of the Law. When all the [Jewish] people cried out that the blood of Jesus should be on them and on their children, they did not realize the consequences and power the words from out of their heart and mouths would carry throughout the generations and millennia.
Praise God! On the cross, our Savior, the Son of Man, called out to His Father – and the Father of Israel (Ex 4:22) – “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Lk 23:34)

This week our friends at Beit Immanuel in Jaffa file an overview report of the interchange with Christians in the nations that captures the heart of God for the Body of the LORD in Israel and their spiritual family throughout the nations – May all the Body, being fitly joined together, be blessed coming in and going out in serving the purposes of God for the harvest that will follow this joining together.
For the LORD declared in Genesis 12:3 His intentions that hold true to this day, “… I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Many recognize today that Israel is not cursed of God, but blessed of Him, and when Israel enters into the Messiah – a path cleared by the prayers of blessing of the saints – a worldwide harvest will be poured out spilling blessing upon all the nations. (Romans 11:15).
This then is why the connection and interchange between the Christians in all the nations and THE BODY OF THE LORD in ISRAEL is such a powerful spiritual dynamic in this hour. It is a MYSTERY to many, and many more are not sure which Israel we are supposed to be connecting with – but among those Christians connecting with the Israeli Body of Messiah, the purposes of God in Him are being forwarded.
Over 100 prayer warriors joined together for the Shavuot-Pentecost prayer night called by Revive Israel – many leaders from north to south and a great contingent of young adult believers. Messianic pastors Eitan Shishkoff, Hanan Lukas, Ari Sorkoram, Shmuel Birnbaum, Simcha Davidov, Ofer Amitai, Yakim Figueras, and Guy Cohen gave short exhortations from the word of God. Teams from Sukkat Hallel, King of Kings, Dugit, Ohalei Rachamim, and Nazareth Prayer houses took part, along with the Revive Israel staff. Thank God for the joining together of many different ministries praying for spiritual revival.
The saints also gathered for prayer called by the Arab Christian Churches “Global Day of Prayer” in Nazareth. We have links to several reports on this gathering which is an invitation by the Holy Spirit for the Arab Christians and Messianic Jews to come together also as one new man in Messiah. Those who are able to join into this expression of unity of the Body, God Himself smiles on. Pray for more to overcome the internal arguments that hinder such abandonment to the will of God.
We received a good report from Howard Bass back from recent meetings “Down Under” noting of the Australian believers: “What we found to be the most encouraging thing for those who came to the conferences was that we kept Jesus/Yeshua as the primary focus. Israel's significance is connected to Him and to His coming again. If we minimize either Him or His return to establish God's Kingdom on Earth, then we will fall into any number of traps and pitfalls -- and scare people away from Israel-focused conferences and ministries, which are so important in these days.”
From our friends in the Evangelical Baptist Church of Akko comes this wonderful report of the Arabic Mothers Day that was celebrated in March among all the Galilee congregations. At the event where 1,200 women attended were many Muslim women – 280 of these women gave their hearts to the Lord! Praise God for opening hearts – and protecting these women, causing faith to multiply in their families.
Pastor Hani of the EBChurch in Akko is coming to Texas in August and has a prayer need for God’s favor on June 17 when he is interviewed for a visa. Pray this servant of the Lord is granted a visa – and that all his Texas dates will produce lasting, fruitful and ongoing relationships. (Read the Weekly Summary for contact information)
Praise God with the Kleins who have come to a good resolution in the pressures that were being mounted against their landlord and ministry. We rejoice with them as God unfolded a new way to them. Pray also for in-depth, ongoing spiritual connections in Germany, and now Great Britain, as well. We agree with the vision Arni holds of these two nations being critical SPIRITUAL allies in the harvest days ahead – the necessary spiritual connections being laid right now.
Pray for key positions in Israeli ministries to be filled with the right people – not so easy in a nation where the pool is very small of born again believers. Pray also for those in the congregations who are struck with serious medical issues – like undergoing chemo for cancer. Pray the Lord will send the gift of faith for healing among those believers struck with serious conditions – and for the testimony of healing to tip the scales toward faith in unsaved family members.
While in Norway recently, humanitarian aid leader Ye’shi Reinhardt suffered a heart attack and had 4 stints placed by doctors there. We praise God for sparing Ye’shi’s life – and agree with him in prayer for the funds to pay his hospital bill. The Word of God says that he who waters, shall be watered. As Ye’shi has been devoting himself to ministering to the needs of terror victims and Israel’s war-wounded, this is surely “watering” that shall be returned upon him.

Asher Intrater writes about the trial that began last week for the two teenage Muslims who murdered a Jewish family – including a 3 month old baby – by stabbing them as they lay sleeping. The young men showed no remorse for their actions whatsoever and Asher asks, “Were these youth simply deranged psychopaths or were they "normative" products of Islamic extremism?”
Not to step on his conclusion, but within the Palestinian societies in Gaza and the West Bank, even toddlers are trained up in hatred and seeing their own highest purposes in life to destroy the lives of Israeli Jews. Americans should also understand that these are the same teachings that children who attend a great many of the Muslim schools in the U.S. are also being taught about all “infidels.”

Today in HIS-story - June 7, 1967 - Jerusalem returned to the control of the State of Israel and the end of the Gentile control of the City of the Great King since 70 AD ceased. That year a revival erupted in the U.S. youth called the Jesus Movement. Out of it came most of the leaders & elders today of the Messianic movement. The blindness of Israel to Yeshua is dropping like scales ever since.
Today is Jerusalem Day. Believers around the world will be praying for an undivided Jerusalem on the anniversary of the day Jerusalem was united in 1967. Tomorrow, Messianic congregations in Israel will come together for an annual Shavuot celebration at Yad HaShmonah (near Jerusalem).
We are in the days the prophets prophesied about, depicted in the prophetic Feasts of the LORD – which embody much prophetic significance, although none greater that the prophetic picture of the ultimate salvation of the children of Israel the latter harvest in Yeshua’s Name.
Pray for the scales to continue to fall from the spiritual eyes of Israelis.

Shavuot is one of 3 Feasts of the LORD that are prophetic appointed times Israel is to stand before God. Passover is the sacrifice of the Lamb; Shavuot is the early or “first fruits” harvest and the final prophetic Feast is Sukkot, which prophetically speaks of the time when God returns to His people Israel to give them – at long last – “a heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear” (Deut 29:4) According to His plan from the beginning.
In his June 3 Video Prayer Alert, the 24/7 Jerusalem Prayer & Praise house Succat Hallel director spoke of a prayer strategy for Israel’s borders that is going to me an ongoing challenge to Israel for the foreseeable future. Ridings also detailed how witchcraft operates against Israel via the Islamist enemies of God’s Word. Recommending Israelprayer subscribers listen to this video.
Mazal Tov to the Kehilat HaCarmel – the congregation atop Mt Carmel – as they celebrate 20 years of ministry. Inside the Weekly Summary, the founding vision of the congregation is shared, along with thanks for those in the nations who have walked with them in the Spirit. Pray for this congregation of worshipers to be used mightily to speak to the north, south, east and west – and to stand with the mantle of Elijah against the prophets of Baal (spiritual masters or lords over the peoples).
Thank God for the spiritual excavation work He is doing with Israeli ministries and western European Christians in places like Germany and Switzerland. There is something spiritually critical going on in the uniting of these specific parts of the Body, that is laying the groundwork for a mighty display of healing and restoration among the nations. “…where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.” Ro 5:20
In Africa – in the war torn nation of Nigeria – a youthful team of Israeli ministers just received “on the job training” of evangelism and ministering miracles to those in great need. It is a fulfillment of the prophetic word, from the prophets Isaiah and Micah, “Come, let us go up….For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
Pray with the Haifa ministry with a major outreach among the heavily Russian-populated who are currently negotiating to buy the congregational property they are now renting. The shift from renting to owning is a critical on in Israel, where renting leaves ministries open to anti-missionary activists plaguing landlords to kick believers out. If you have ever wanted to invest in Israel, consider the investment of a house to rent to Israeli ministries to live in, or lay up great treasures in heaven by investing in congregations like Return to Zion seeking to own their congregational property.
Pray for those ministries who are seeking to fill positions on their staff or ministry teams. Pray for the additional funds to be released to enable staff positions to be opened or to be filled. Pray for the talents and resources within the Body of Israeli believers to be used to benefit and bless the local believers.
While the U.S. may debate the pros and cons of the so-called “Arab Spring,” Israelis are watching their borders with fear & trepidation. Pray for the Body of Messiah to be a stabilizing force in the midst of a trembling people. Pray for clarity in prayers made – clear words given from the LORD to the Body, and for the Body to speak over the yet-unsaved people of Israel and to her leadership. These are the gatekeepers of Israel, the new and spiritual priesthood declaring the Word of the Lord in the midst of rumors of wars.
Pray for the Israelis to prevail over the efforts to chip away at the borders by land and the coastal shores. The Milhemet haHatashah – the war of attrition – where small bands storm the Israeli borders by foot or in flotillas by sea, is to keep chipping away at Israel’s resolve. In the original “war of attrition” from 1967 to 1970, Arab states formulated the “Three Nos” policy: barring peace, recognition or negotiations with Israel. The stage of current events is shaping up to see history repeat itself today.
Pray for the release of Gilad Shalit, who has been held by Hamas captors in Gaza since June 25, 2006. Pray for God to release a miracle for this young man who has lived under the control of terrorist these five years without mercy. Pray for God’s mercy to save and set Gilad free.

Today in HIS-story - June 7, 1967 - Jerusalem returned to the control of the State of Israel and the end of the Gentile control of the City of the Great King since 70 AD ceased. That year a revival erupted in the U.S. youth called the Jesus Movement. Out of it came most of the leaders & elders today of the Messianic movement. The blindness of Israel to Yeshua is dropping like scales ever since.
Today is Jerusalem Day. Believers around the world will be praying for an undivided Jerusalem on the anniversary of the day Jerusalem was united in 1967. Tomorrow, Messianic congregations in Israel will come together for an annual Shavuot celebration at Yad HaShmonah (near Jerusalem).
We are in the days the prophets prophesied about, depicted in the prophetic Feasts of the LORD – which embody much prophetic significance, although none greater that the prophetic picture of the ultimate salvation of the children of Israel the latter harvest in Yeshua’s Name.
Pray for the scales to continue to fall from the spiritual eyes of Israelis.

Shavuot is one of 3 Feasts of the LORD that are prophetic appointed times Israel is to stand before God. Passover is the sacrifice of the Lamb; Shavuot is the early or “first fruits” harvest and the final prophetic Feast is Sukkot, which prophetically speaks of the time when God returns to His people Israel to give them – at long last – “a heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear” (Deut 29:4) According to His plan from the beginning.
In his June 3 Video Prayer Alert, the 24/7 Jerusalem Prayer & Praise house Succat Hallel director spoke of a prayer strategy for Israel’s borders that is going to me an ongoing challenge to Israel for the foreseeable future. Mazal Tov to the Kehilat HaCarmel – the congregation atop Mt Carmel – as they celebrate 20 years of ministry. Thank God for the spiritual excavation work He is doing with Israeli ministries and western European Christians in places like Germany and Switzerland. There is something spiritually critical going on in the uniting of these specific parts of the Body, that is laying the groundwork for a mighty display of healing and restoration among the nations. “…where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.” Ro 5:20
In Africa – in the war torn nation of Nigeria – a youthful team of Israeli ministers just received “on the job training” of evangelism and ministering miracles to those in great need. It is a fulfillment of the prophetic word, from the prophets Isaiah and Micah, “Come, let us go up….For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
Pray with the Haifa ministry with a major outreach among the heavily Russian-populated who are currently negotiating to buy the congregational property they are now renting. The shift from renting to owning is a critical on in Israel, where renting leaves ministries open to anti-missionary activists plaguing landlords to kick believers out. If you have ever wanted to invest in Israel, consider the investment of a house to rent to Israeli ministries to live in, or lay up great treasures in heaven by investing in congregations like Return to Zion seeking to own their congregational property.

While the U.S. may debate the pros and cons of the so-called “Arab Spring,” Israelis are watching their borders with fear & trepidation. Pray for the Body of Messiah to be a stabilizing force in the midst of a trembling people. Pray for clarity in prayers made – clear words given from the LORD to the Body, and for the Body to speak over the yet-unsaved people of Israel and to her leadership. These are the gatekeepers of Israel, the new and spiritual priesthood declaring the Word of the Lord in the midst of rumors of wars.
Pray for the Israelis to prevail over the efforts to chip away at the borders by land and the coastal shores. The Milhemet haHatashah – the war of attrition – where small bands storm the Israeli borders by foot or in flotillas by sea, is to keep chipping away at Israel’s resolve. In the original “war of attrition” from 1967 to 1970, Arab states formulated the “Three Nos” policy: barring peace, recognition or negotiations with Israel. The stage of current events is shaping up to see history repeat itself today.
Pray for the release of Gilad Shalit, who has been held by Hamas captors in Gaza since June 25, 2006. Pray for God to release a miracle for this young man who has lived under the control of terrorist these five years without mercy. Pray for God’s mercy to save and set Gilad free.

Today, according to the Hebrew calendar, Israel celebrated 44 years of the reunification of Jerusalem to the State of Israel in the hard fought Six Day War of 1967. On June 7, 1967, a battalion of Israel Defense Forces paratroopers defeated Jordanian troops, liberating the Old City and reuniting east and west Jerusalem following 19 years of Jordanian occupation.
The Israeli Prime Minister is in agreement with that the Bible has to say: "The battle for Jerusalem is a battle for truth," Netanyahu began. "There can be no justice without truth.”
Luke 21:24 “….and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.”
Zechariah 8:3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
Isaiah 25:7-8 And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
Jerusalem is not “the city of world’s three great religions” but it is the city of the great King – the King of Kings, Yeshua – who in the end shall be worshiped on that holy mountain.

Have you ever wondered what the full God-promised borders of Israel were?

There is a greater spiritual stirring in Israel among the believers there, as Israel is made even more isolated among the nations in the midst of increasingly unstable and Israel-hostile neighbors. What we are hearing as the pulse of the Body in Israel is an even greater emphasis on crying out to the LORD for the promised SALVATION of His People Israel. In the biblical record, every season when God was about to advance His salvation plan, the enemy would rise up to prematurely snatch those souls from life. This is where Israel stands today: at the door of the season of Israel’s salvation, with the enemy stirring ancient hatreds to claim death for Israelis before LIFE can claim them. It is time to cry for the Lord to arise – and His enemies – the enemies of His WORD made flesh – be scattered.
The announcement comes from a Galilee ministry for another prayer and fasting day for later in the summer on the traditional Tisha B’Av memorial. This is a prayer and fasting day in traditional Judaism for the destruction of the first and second Temple, but this Messianic call is for the purposes of seeking God for Israel’s present precarious situation. Pray for the quick healing of Lura Beckford’s broken foot. She is wheelchair bound until it is fully healed, and this is a complication to the Beckfords as Eddie is still under house arrest imposed by the courts in all the harassment cases that have been falsely filed by anti-missionary religious zealots.
Pray for multiplied fruit with the Israeli ministry team and among the Nigerians who came to faith during the meetings. Pray also for the Tikkun Israeli leadership team which is headed to the U.S. for annual meetings in the congregations they began in. Prayer for those who stay behind on the home front.
From time to time we ask for prayers for Israeli ministry leaders who are on short notice forced to relocate their homes and ministry/congregational facilities. Often this comes as a result of pressures on landlords by traditional religious groups who oppose and harass the followers of Yeshua in Israel. We have such a request this week, as one settles into a new home and another begins a search for a new home.
Whether it is ministry to heal the wounded Body in Israel among women or in personal evangelism and outreach, there are many small ministries operating throughout Israel. Some in small home group settings providing a local assembly for a congregational-less village, or for Christian Arabs, or for Russian-speakers, or other such groups. Pray for these works of the LORD which are no less important than the larger ministries and congregations.
Pray for the believers in the nations to catch the vision the Apostle Paul worked to instill in ALL the first century churches under his ministry: supportive role of the Gentile Church toward the Israeli Body of Messiah. Romans 15:25-27 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. For it has pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. It has pleased them truly; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
Congratulations to the Ferguson family of Yeshua Israel Ministries – as well as the Sorko-Ram grandparents of Maoz Ministries – who welcomed a new son into their family that now numbers five: Kobi, Shani and three big sisters to dote on the new baby brother. Mazal tov!
The Segal’s of Joseph’s Storehouse have set their sights on upping the number of children they are able to bless in this their 13th year of the Pack to School program. Each year with the help of donors the Storehouse is able to provide Israeli school children with backpacks filled with school supplies. This year they hope to distribute 13,000 packs. Many Israeli ministries encourage the Messianic Jews of the world to return to the Jewish homeland. As one reminded this week, “The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel” writing: Pray for a continuing stream of Jews to get connected to their roots and realize that Israel is their homeland and this is where they belong.
Pray for continued rains – which have been greater this year but Israeli is still in a serious water shortage situation.
Pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu – who even though he has not come to faith yet – is nevertheless standing in the anointing from God upon the office of the Prime Minister of Israel. There are conditional and unconditional purposes of God in these end times as God has re-gathered Israel to their ancient homeland for the purpose of salvation. Pray for Netanyahu to have the wisdom and favor of God to lead the nation well through all the conditional situations Israel must grapple with.
