It is never more emotionally disturbing and personal as when the enemy reaches out with a hand of destruction against a member of our natural families. It must become the same for us when our spiritual family comes under the same kinds of attack. We must rouse ourselves to spiritually fight enemy attacks against both our natural and spiritual families.

It seems right now that there are deadly attacks that have launched upon many fronts. What the enemy means for evil, however, the LORD is willing and able to turn to good. Let us be willing and able to call upon His intervention for those who are unable to call upon Him themselves: “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” Phillippians 2:4

Purim, a prophetic holiday with a “Esther” message for the Church came into being out of the events chronicled in the Book of Esther. Purim is Sunday February 28th a good time to let the Holy Spirit speak to you out of a fresh reading of Esther.

Special Note: The situation in Israeli ministries is that in most of the congregations there are not enough donations from the congregation, or from contributions from the Body in the nations, for even key support pastoral and ministry staff to be paid salaries. This is one ministry field where budgets are focused on outreach and even pastors raise their personal living support via outs-of-country donations in order to minister to the people. Imagine that! No congregation issued weekly paycheck to support critical ministry staff. This is one of the reasons it is so important for the worldwide Body to remember these who are laboring sacrificially to being the gospel to their people and to their neighbors. In addition to donating to the many good causes and projects in Israel – it would be good for us to remember that those who are bearing precious seed among the unsaved Jews, Arabs, Druze, Bedouin, and others that make up the melting pot of the Land of Israel.

An Esther Fast & Pray Day is called for Friday 2/26 when some 20 Messianic congregations come together for a sacred Assembly in Jerusalem. Please join in as corporate faith is exercised for a significant turning point in the unfolding plan in the Lord’s harvest in Israel.

The U.S. and E.U. continue to make wrong turns in relations with Israel and its hostile neighbors – like the U.S. lifting travel warnings to citizens traveling to Syria while Syria is still on the designated list of countries supporting terrorism! Pray Christians rouse themselves to object foolhardy govt moves!

Pray against all forms of hypocrisy in matters demanding righteous judgment including standards for dealing with terrorist leaders and operatives. Pray for consistent applications of standards which protect and preserve: and which allows no unsanctioned, ungodly mercy toward those with heinous intents.

Pray for courageous judges – moved by righteous judgment on behalf of those affected by their judgment. Even unsaved judges, law enforcers and govt heads are mandated as “the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.” Pray for faithful execution of their charge.

Pray for the spiritual warfare – lawfare – in the Jerusalem Institute of Justice motion to the Israeli Attorney General to “Dismantle the Yad L’Achim Organization” as it meets the legal standard of a “terrorist organization”. Read the Motion on line

Pray for the salvations going on among the Israeli Messianic Jews and the Palestinian Arabs and Druze. Yeshua/Isa/Jesus is revealing the Father to many in the Land of Israel through the ministries of precious saints who have given themselves for His use in the harvest. Uphold them – every need met!

Speak a blessing on the new spiritual births occurring from Akko on the Lebanon border to the southern- most Negev Desert. God is doing a marvelous work in signs, wonders, deliverance and salvation. Pray for protection over all the new life!

Pray that the agitated spirit that has been loosed among the ultra-Orthodox in the area of Arad to be contained and focused as division between themselves rather than outward toward believers or other victims.

Continue to pray for the visions among many Israeli ministries for new or upgraded facilities. Pray for miracles and Divine appointments to complete these visions which are preparations for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all flesh in the Land.

Several requests for healing from cancer among the believers: Declare all cancers to be dried up and full health released into these bodies.

The Messianic community is being recognized for an excellent and goodly spirit in many cities across Israel and for many reasons. Like Daniel and his companions pray for God’s favor and anointing to rest on all these, and everything that tries to bring them down, cursed from prospering.

Pray blessing on the Messianic ministries branching out into all the forms of social media available – like FaceBook and Twitter. Pray that the ministries will make the most of these tools and that God will provide ministry volunteers from their congregations that excel in these technologies.

Pray for the congregations teaching on sexual purity and also on spiritually healthy families. Give wisdom, clarity and conviction of the Holy Spirit upon those they are teaching. Pray for a vision to be whole, pure and pleasing to God to get into the hearts of the people.

Thank God for those in and those going out of Israel to visit with our spiritual family in the Land and in the nations. We are a family united in the Messiah of Israel – different, yet equally loved of the Father for having placed our faith in the work of His Son. Pray that we would enter into a truer grasp of our family relations over the coming year – a deeper sense that of two we are one beloved in Him.

Psalm 119:17-18 declares: “I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD. The LORD has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death.”

In the past few days I was able to speak this over someone who is Father-less– “he shall live, and not die!” – and could not speak it over himself. The Lord heard and the young man was left for dead, the trigger not pulled. God will answer our prayers even for those who do not yet know Him.

Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth and judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Pray for the national gathering of Israeli believers on Feb 26th. There will be confession of sins, seeking God for genuine repentance and intercession for the Jewish people and nation.

Pray for the last trial day in the Beer Sheva congregation case against the religious leaders that led a mob takeover of the service on Dec 24th 2004. This will be on March 9 – 1 week following the national gathering of Israeli believers.

a. Pray that the alliance between Yad L'Achim and the Chief Rabbi Deri will be severed through this case, not being able to trust each other, dividing their house.
b. Pray that the works of darkness and their workers of iniquity are being brought ever more into the light.

Pray for the new ministry works – whether house groups or congregations – that are branching off from mother congregations. Pray for strong family bonds to prevail in all these new works, the family love in Messiah to remain strong, pure and tender one toward the other.

Pray for the Lord’s covering over all rearranging of members and leadership within congregations and from congregation to congregation. Pray that all re-shuffling be done in a godly manner, with honor and that the Lord’s purposes would be served in every person’s life. Empty positions filled with God’s choice men and women.

Pray for the desert regions of Israel where so much biblical history unfolded will begin to draw a fair share of the tourist trade. Pray for an upsurge of Christian support to those often overlooked destinations on the tour schedules so that the Negev Desert cities would reap the tourism blessings too.

Pray for the breakout praise and worship revival among the youth in the Galilee region who are seeking the Lord in unprecedented hunger for the presence of God. Thank God for the eight young people baptized last week in the Jordan River.

Pray PS 91 over the Israeli Defense Force soldiers. Many soldiers rave received olive colored bandanas with Psalm 91 printed on it in Hebrew produced by Christians in the U.S. and distributed by Messianic ministries in Israel. Another batch is being produced now. Information inside if you would like to participate. Pray for anointing on them like Acts 19:11.

Thank God for the news that the falsely accused brother in Arad has been released to house arrest over the protest of the prosecutor and social worker – but after 10 believers came forward to the court to sign responsibility for him. Thank God a prison ministry is also being birthed out of this sad situation.

The ultra-Orthdox in Arad are in a highly agitated state – even fighting among themselves to the point police must be called in. Also a conservative synagogue in Arad was victim of attempted arson – a synagogue that spoke up against ultra-Orthodox persecutions in the city.

Pray for Israeli ministries as they go out into the nations to speak in churches, prayer groups, Messianic synagogues – pray for full schedules, Divine appointments and the favor and anointing of God to rest upon them.

Wed Feb 10 was a Day of Prayer of Fasting on behalf of the severe persecution many believers in Israel are experiencing. Open the attached Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries for the suggested prayer points.

“They are enclosed in their own fat; with their mouths they speak proudly. They have now surrounded us in our steps; They have set their eyes, crouching down to the earth, As a lion is eager to tear his prey, And like a young lion lurking in secret places. Arise, O LORD, Confront him, cast him down; Deliver my life from the wicked with Your (s)word ….” Psalm 17: 10-13

Pray for those in the Israeli ministries who have been courageous in stepping out publicly to speak of the persecution against the believing community in Israel. Doing so makes them a special target, so please uphold all of these before the Throne of our God for covering.

Thank God for all the rain in Israel needed to replenish water resources. Pray for continuation of the rains and the spiritual rains to parallel the natural.

Thank God that the brothers in Messiah don’t have to be in perfect agreement in order to be joined together in the bonds of God’s love through Yeshua. Thank God for believers willing to press past some hard disagreements – like between Palestinian and Jewish issues – to enjoy the brotherhood in Messiah.

Thank God for the newlyweds, the newly engaged and the newly expecting young adults from Messianic families. May the Lord bless them in full measure with every spiritual and material blessing that they may be shining lights among their people Israel.

Thank God for the response of God’s people to the call for help from the major needs to the smaller requests – like a copy of a Messianic testimony (Betrayed!) in German. These become answers that soften the hearts of the Jewish people in preparation for receiving Yeshua….even at the age of 96!

Thank God for His blessing of opening our hearts, giving us the capacity to love even those who have been traditionally “our enemy.” Pray for those like the new Muslim mother who has found refugee among Yeshua’s people with her new baby – safety from potential “honor killing” by her brother. Pray for this one to have her heart spoken to and opened also by a revelation of Isa/Yeshua/Jesus.

Continue to entreat the Lord on behalf of the might work He is doing between Israeli and German believers. On many fronts and with many different avenues of exchange God is doing a marvelous work – not a shallow level of forgiveness, but a deeply worked and Divinely forged work of Mighty Destiny.

Continue to pray over the media presentation of the Messianic community. Pray for a recent interview with one of the Messianic leaders to be released at exactly the right time and that the Holy Spirit will hover over it to bring forth good fruit in the Israeli public and within the powers that be in the Land.

Israeli leaders are ever digging in to develop both their spiritual and natural gifts to serve their congregations and communities. Pray for the anointing to be strong on them in ministering and in learning, and to keep their lives in godly balance. Pray for blessings in every way.

Pray for those ministries facing opposition and even eviction from rented facilities – that the ministries are not stopped, the pressures from municipalities are lifted, the agitation by anti-missionaries not to prosper, but for all things the enemy means for evil to be turned to the good of the ministries.

Thank God for the steady improvement and healing of many we have prayed for here from the congregations suffering from life threatening illnesses. Even those that are called “incurable” – we join our faith in the God of the impossible to show His hand mighty to heal on these believers.

Pray for the upcoming travel schedule of Israeli ministries that they will be filled up with Divinely appointed and fruitful meetings. Also for the planning of Spring outreaches – pray for the Holy Spirit to prepare hearts to receive the good news as Yeshua read of His ministry in Nazareth from Isaiah 61.

The Israeli ministries want you to hear the blessings from those of their communities who are being blessed through the kindness of your giving through Messianic ministries. Unlike other Christian giving in Israel, when you donate through Israeli ministries believers in Yeshua are ALSO blessed by your giving and unsaved Jews and Arabs in the community are blessed in the Name of Yeshua/Jesus.

The Yad b’Yad youth exchange (between Israeli and German teens) is doing a benefit concert. If you can’t be there, you can still bless the benefit.

Pray for each of the ministries to be able to stay focused on their assignments in the Land, as one young ministry noted, “When the laborers are few, the inclination is to run around trying to fill every hole that needs filling.” Pray for blessing and grace on all their realms of authority.

Another young ministry spoke a good word on FaceBook this week, “You serve with your gift, but you lead with your character.” Mazel tov to Sean and Ayelet on the birth this week of their son, Devir.

An important conference in Brussels with the European Parliament dealing with the nature and dynamic of Islam and the EU position on Israel is one of the good reports contained in the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries. The 2nd part of the conference was in the framework of Biblical principles. Arni Klein reporting.

Israel’s poor experience a deeper state of poverty than their counterparts in the U.K according to research. “Do not let the oppressed retreat in disgrace; may the poor and needy praise your name.”

Pray for a Divine Operation Defensive Shield to disrupt the schemes of enemies of the gospel that have been plotted against Israeli believers – plots overturned and devisers caught red-handed. “The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.” Ps 10:2

An increase in problems with computer, internet and cell phone communications among key Israeli ministries is not coincidental. Others reporting thefts and robberies – all disruptive tactics known to be used by those who oppose the gospel. Pray for a Divine Operation Defensive Shield to disrupt the enemy schemes.

Pray for the moving of the Lord that is going on between Israeli believers and their Asian and German brothers. There is growing bonds of brotherly love, spiritual exchange and prayer being raised up. For all Israel to be saved it will take the worldwide Church praying into it.

Inside Israel believers are walking in daily lives like shining beacons of hope. In contrast to the darkness of our day, they are ready as 1 Peter 3:15 says, “to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you.” Pray for the brightness of Hope to be upon all the Body in Israel.

Israeli ministries are raising up the next generation of leaders with sound biblical teaching and practical service to other ministries and in meeting the needs in their Israeli communities. Pray for these who are being discipled that they may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Thank God for the report of unanimous agreement among the leadership in the Land when a false doctrine took hold in one of the congregations. Pray in agreement for the Lord to open the eyes of those who have fallen into the snare – many young families and young people.

Thank God for opportunities for the Messianic leaders to speak in the media. Please agree with them for favor do so more and more, and for good seed to be planted in good soil of many hearers.

Thank God for answering the desperate cries in Israel for rain in Dec & Jan with Feb forecasts looking promising, but much more rain is needed – naturally and spiritually.

“Thank you,” writes one ministry, “for standing in the gap for the Jews and Arabs of our Land. Your prayers and intercession are a vital part of winning the battle for the souls of our people and for the future of Israel.” They ask for boldness & anointing on all the outreaches.

Expanding tent pegs, upgrading facilities, fulfilling ministry visions held in hearts for many years – these are the things Israeli ministries are thankfully reporting at the beginning of 2010. Pray that every purpose of God would be fully funded in due season to the glory of the Lord.

Thank God for the land that has been given to the benefit of believers for a Pro Life forest to be planted and as grounds available to the Messianic congregations and ministries to use freely.

One young ministry family is awaiting the birth of a new baby boy. Pray for God’s blessings upon the young ministry families – for their family units to be strong and their ministries to prosper in all things.

Another believer has been jailed in Arad – this one due to false accusations of a fallen sister. Pray for God to arise on behalf of this believer – that he will be exonerated and repentance to come on the fallen sister.

Pray for the schedules of Israeli ministries to be filled in with Divine connections and appointments of God. Pray for the Holy Spirit to breathe on all the means of outreach that are being created to reach fellow Israelis and those from the nations.

Some dreams die and are forgotten when the Holy Spirit breathes new life on them in due season and zeal for the vision returns in full force. Thank God for the dreams He is reviving in individuals for visions He has planted in hearts for the salvation of many.

40% of Israeli families in which a member has died due to lack of sufficient funds for medicines and medical care. Humanitarian needs in Israel are dire but there are Israeli BELIEVERS who can make a difference with our help in the name of Jesus. For the poor, the victims of terror, for the shell-shocked towns around Gaza pray for God to stir up Christians who contribute to Israel, to do so through the Body of Messiah in Israel.
