An Update on our Grandson, Karl. Update on our grandson Karl 18 days from the accident. He is still in a coma and in ICU. He has been demonstrating deliberate movements which means his brain is communicating; his eyes are open a lot but he still is not seeing - although it is thought that he is tracking movement for a few seconds at a time. He is agitated by trachea tube and catheter at times, moving a lot. These are all signs that he is slowly waking up. Brain injuries are impossible for the doctors to call on how a person heals or how fast they will recover, or how much they will recover. I just thank God for all the prayers that have gone up from all the people on my Israelprayer list for Karl. We really needed you, and you were there for our need. Thank you. -Donna

Although many are going through crisis situations with unsaved family members – several I have spoken with having head or brain injuries – I believe the Lord is using us in these “dire straits” to mid-wife strategic new life into the kingdom of the Lord…strategic to other family members also receiving the good news and turning to the Lord.
Even as there is great uncertainty about the future and dark clouds looming over most of the nations of the world at this time, there is an anchor we have in our souls that many will want to lay hold of in their own lives. Let us pray for our families as never before, that God would grant them the peace they crave in their lives and salvation to the uttermost.

When the press reports the news with a specific agenda, the result can no longer called journalism, but now bears the masked face of propaganda. It is precisely because the public generally believes news reporters relay the facts that makes propaganda reporters especially dangerous provocateurs. Pray for Yair Altman whose Ynet article “Teitel’s associates: He’s gone mad” clearly crossed the line from journalism to propaganda.
Pray for the next hearing date for Jack Teitel which is February 3rd and also the 18th birthday of Ami Ortiz, who is recovering from the bomb blast Teitel set two years ago that almost took Ami's life.
Pray that the ruse of “mentally unfit” to stand trial not to be accepted by the judges hearing the case. Pray for full and open accountability in the Israeli courts, that the facts be laid bare before the Israeli public.
Pray for the complete restoration of Ami Ortiz who is still living with 100 shards of metal and glass still lodged in his body and eyes, and scars from his neck to his feet, and the loss of three toes. For this, Jack Teitel should not get a get out of jail free pass. Cry out for justice in the Lord’s hearing!
Though Israel today is a spiritual desert with a few oases here and there in the Body of Israeli Believers in the Land, despite the opposition and persecution, Yeshua is blessing those that follow Him in Israel with the good news of reconciliation for their countrymen and for the nations of the world. “For in him you have been enriched in every way–in all your speaking and in all your knowledge” 1 Cor 1:5
One ministry noted this week, “The salvation of Israel is a controversial issue in modern Christian-Jewish relations. But, if the Gospel is “to the Jew first,” why are they last on most Christians’ list of priorities?
Another that, “God chose Israel to be His first-born son [among the nations]. (Ex 4:22) No other nation will receive or enter into its inheritance, which God may give, before or without Israel receiving and entering into hers/his. (Would Paul have called it “expedient” for the churches to contribute to the Body in Israel, if this were not so?)
Pray for the Messianic soldiers from all the congregations in Israel. These are young men and women, many straight out of high school, some serving in career positions in a land that is never able to be at rest, but must be ready at a moment’s notice. Pray for excellence, for what they cannot do in themselves, for grace from Yeshua within them to achieve.
Pray for the precarious situation going on in Lebanon on Israel’s northern border. The government is in flux and the terrorist group Hezballah is making moves to take over.
Pray for the believers in Lebanon – there still are some! Hold up their arms in prayer to sit in the secret place as watchmen on the walls of Lebanon. The destiny of a nation is with the remnant within it.
Pray for the Israeli believers who are serving the Lord’s purposes in every kind of role from civil rights attorneys to goat farm and cheese manufacturers. Pray that in the marketplace, the believers will all be shining examples of honor, integrity, excellence …and above all a life radiating with the Prince of Peace.
Pray for every court case that the Body in Israel is connected with – from those seeking to establish citizenship rights to those who are there as a result of the campaign of persecutors. Pray for those who stand before the human bar of justice – for the Supreme Judge to rule in their favor and justice prevail.
One of the senior elders in the Body in Israel, Avi, asks for prayer for his 83-year old father. There was no permanent damage but it is clear he must transition immediately to 24-hour care. Avi asks prayer for wisdom.
Another ministry to widows and orphans asks for prayer for her mother who fell and had a brain hemorrhage. She reports that God performed a miracle and also that her mother prayed for the Lord’s help and His salvation because of her dire situation. Her niece is also in the same hospital with a possible case of meningitis. Pray that what the enemy means for evil, God will turn to good – for us us who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes!
Thanks be to God for the ministry that asked prayer for their daughter who had surgery and was awaiting biopsy results. The tumor was deemed low grad malignancy and removed entirely. Pray also for the Holy Spirit to continue to speak spiritually to this daughter calling her, Come back, come back, O Israel.
Pray for “Y” who converted to Catholicism some years ago, but now in his old age is tormented by fears and torments of paranoia. Pray for the Lord to grant Y to hear and understand the parable of Matthew 18, and to aggressively begin to forgive everyone he has held indebted by offenses. Pray he will release all, and in turn be released back to stability of mind and emotions. It is not too late!
Pray for the ministry that is experiencing tensions within its fellowship. Pray that the spirits of offense and division be rooted out and the spirit of humility and brotherly love expand in that place. Pray for the shalom of the Lord to be upon them and grace to all the leaders guiding the flock.
Thank God for the lives that are being changed by the ministry of the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit into the paths that make for peace in our lives. Thank God that He is well able to pick us up even out of the trash cans and set us on the Rock that gives us love, joy and peace in Him.
Thank God for the nations that are coming up to Jerusalem, to learn how to stand in agreement with heart of the Father for the Body of Messiah in Israel.
Thank God for the unity of the Body in Israel – in praying together, as well as the practical matters of connecting together for the whole of Body.
Thank God for the work of the Holy Spirit in the work of reconciliation going on between Palestinian Christians and Messianic Jews. This work is precious in the sight of those who are blessed to catch even tiny glimpses of what is going on. It is a game changer as it grows into a more visible work of the Lord.
Speak blessings on the Israeli ministries who are doing humanitarian works throughout Israel. They are reaching every possible group with the love shed abroad in their hearts – from terror victims to school children or Holocaust survivors in need of meals. Pray for blessings to be a blessing upon them.

Update on our grandson, Karl: We are so grateful for all the prayers and responses for Karl. There has been not much encouraging word from the doctors – we have to get that from God – but we are seeing some minor steps forward. There is still no sign that Karl will regain consciousness, yet his eyes are open and today they are removing the ventilator and replacing it with a trachea tube. We are trusting that God will heal Karl of the DAI brain injuries, and where one doctor believes is a part of the brain that received no oxygen and is now dead, that it will turn out to be fluid that will drain and be healed. Regardless of what the damage is, we know God is able to bring full healing forth for Karl, and this is how we ask you continue to pray. Thank you from our family to yours.

God is the God of Mathematics too. One One One. How can this not be prophetically significant?
“Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One Lord.” And, as Yeshua prayed for us, "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 1 1 1 !
Is the Lord speaking to us of the oneness we have been searching the horizon for and which seems so far from dawning on us? What if we believed this was the year He is calling us to enter into it? What would we do different? How would it change us? How would it change our view of the things happening in our world? Pray that whatever it is that the Lord is speaking, we will hear clearly.

Regarding 1 1 1, I have another one for you: the Holy of Holies was/is a cube, and so is the New Jerusalem (it is NOT a pyramid as so often described), which is the dwelling place of God with His people in complete oneness. Anyway, the space of a cube is 1x1x1 = 1 . God is ONE (not 3)! Praise the Lord for His higher math!

Spiritually attuned? If you are watching the news lately and are spiritually attuned, you know that the spiritual airspace is profoundly swirling right now. This week inside the Weekly Summary is an excerpt from Arni Klein on some of what they are seeing in Israeli news – fires and our ill-preparedness.
Also, Arni addresses “A Dread Release” – the volume and velocity of persecution is increasing against the righteous in Israel and beyond. What are we to do in response? Is it not what Yeshua said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Only love never fails.
In the year of 1 1 1, pray for the Body to unify – come together in operation as one Body. When our bodies are attacked, the arms and hands come up to protect, and often those catch what forensic experts call “defensive wounds.” It’s not a debate, it is an instinctually protective response to protect the Body from harm. Are we still debating when we should be instinctively responding to protect?
Arad has been a testing ground for the enemy to probe to see how much he can get away with in persecuting the righteous believers. The tactics of warfare repeat – only the situational statistics differ. Pray for the righteous to awaken to the spiritual signposts, not to be dull in discernment as the enemy encroaches. Pray for heightened spiritual discernment for the Body as a whole.
In the world, when people hurt often times family and friends depart so as not to have to share in it. But a Body, when one part hurts, the other parts cannot help but share in it. If even an ankle is twisted, the leg that is not hurt will bear the weight of the body to compensate for the weakness until the ankle mends. Pray for a deepening sense of each other as members of one Body.
In Arad the ringleader of ultra-Orthodox persecutors has again drug the Beckfords to court. It is a long and complicated story but a money award was given to Mendel, which he is refuses to accept because he wants to put a lien on their car and their computers – their ability to move and to communicate. Pray for a resolution to this because the courts are not being helpful. Turning a blind eye to evil.
Pray for the refreshing of the Lord over those who have been under a continual drip, drip, drip of pressure from anti-missionaries. It takes a toll that only the peace of Yeshua can erase.
Near to where the two believer women were recently stabbed while hiking in the Judean hills, another ministry is being targeted by the local orthodox pressuring their landlord to evict them. The landlords have stood firm – pray they will continue to stand against the persecution attempts and for protection against every scheme of the enemy.
“When the enemy shall come in, like a rushing stream the Ruach/Wind/Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a way of escape against him – a driving wind causing the enemy to flee away.” Isaiah 59:19
Christians throughout the Middle East are under deadly attack by demonized Muslim hatred. Pray for the Body in Egypt, Iraq, Iran and all the places where there is little spiritual restraint within the nation to hold back the demonic hatred of the righteous. Let the Body in the nations give voice that restrains the powers of darkness!
OneforIsrael is a social media gospel enterprise by Jewish Israelis seeking to reach their generation in Israel. Pray for the ministries that are using social media to reach into places where young people can be reached for the Kingdom.
Social media is also being used by anti-Messiah forces in Israel. We now have a WATCHMAN section to report the anti-Messianic social media doings. This week one has set the Waller family in its crosshairs. If you know about it, you can pray for the damage to be minimized and the gospel to be maximized.
Please continue to pray for the Israeli ministries who are going out among many nations to connect with the Christians in those nations and to strengthen the brothers in the faith. There are deep works going on in many places, one place with much exchange is Germany. Pray for each one of these who are binding up the wounds of the past for an eternal future together.
In each congregation of Israel there are various ministries tending to the needs of the congregants and the community. Speak blessings over these ministries for fruitfulness, for raising up of solid leaders, for the anointing of the Lord upon their work.
Pray also for recent developments in Lebanon – that the political shaking going on there will not result in aggressions toward Israel. Pray for the political shakings in Israel to result in more stability for the Netanyahu government, more unity in establishing the things that result in shalom for the Land.
Continue to pray for Kay Wilson, who is recovering from the stabbing attack which took the life of her hiking partner Kristine Luken. Pray for the healing of Kay from post traumatic stress and for the Luken family. Also for the arrest of their attackers and justice served.
Continue to pray for justice to be served in the Ami Ortiz case. The religious-nationalist murderer who attempted to murder the Ortiz family, nearly succeeding in taking the life of their son, has been caught, confessed – but being held to account in a court of law is still not a slam dunk. Pray for accountability in this case and for cover ups of the truth to cease in the name of the LORD.

Saturday Jan 8th marked the 5th year that former Israeli PM Ariel Sharon lay in a coma after a stroke. His name, Ariel, means lion of God, and Sharon who served Israel in that capacity - like a warrior lion - throughout his life seems almost symbolic of the nation, alive but not spiritually aware. Pray for Ariel Sharon to awaken: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Messiah will give you light."
Pray also for the daughter of an Israeli ministry recovering from surgery removing her spleen, 2/3rds of her pancreas and a 4-inch growth that is being biopsied. She also needs to know the Lord’s great salvation spiritually. Like an anchor of the soul in the storm tossed seas of life, pray also for those who are standing with the Word of Lord for her in times of desperate need.
Pray for the big visions of Israeli ministries – visions that are for serving the people who have come into the community of faith seeking to grow in the knowledge of the Lord and training their children in the ways of the LORD Yeshua. Pray for the God to make a way for the dreams and visions of God to be established in the Land.
Many of the big visions of Israeli ministries are for the smallest people – the children. Peer pressures are especially acute in Israeli schools for believers because there are so few believers. Children often attend schools where there are NO other believers. For this reason, schools and special ministry focus for children and teens is a major vision among the shepherds of Israel.
Pray for the many good seeds that were planted in India by Israeli ministries to bear much fruit in the days ahead. Partnering with Indian ministers, a nation that has been bound in great darkness eagerly received the ministry of the gospel out of Zion by Jewish believers. God is doing a powerful work in the East.
God is also blessing the ministry of Al Hayat Television in the Arab world. Last week as an evangelistic Christmas program was broadcast from Nazareth, before the program finished playing they had already received 1,000 email responses. In times of sadness and in times of gladness, we are the living epistles, the living letters of Yeshua’s love to our families and other loved ones in our lives. It is not what we say so much, but who we are. Pray for all those who are standing steady so those in need around them might draw from the strength and complete trust in the Lord. For I know the thoughts I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jer. 29:11)
Pray for open hearts – hearts prepared by the Spirit to receive the revelation of Yeshua Messiah. These may come in times of celebration as well as in times of desperation – the LORD knows our frame and how to turn our lives from the futile paths to the path to LIFE.
We have been entrusted with a mission by the Messiah, not only to bring word of the Light to our world, but also to be the Salt in the midst of unjust societies. “Hate evil, love good, And establish justice in the gate.” Pray for those standing before unjust judges – speaking the justice of the Supreme Court of the LORD over their cases.

Many thanks to all of you who have been like angels of mercy in response to my request for prayers for our grandson, Karl Dunlop. Just after midnight as Friday became Saturday, Karl’s car was rear ended as his car was coasting out of gas toward the exit ramp of the tollway. He has not regained consciousness and has suffered severe brain trauma. Later in the same day Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head and she also has been in a coma since. Saturday was also the 5 year anniversary date of Ariel Sharon lapsing into a coma. All these brain traumas are completely different, and each have different odds of recovery…but God. We so appreciate your prayers for Karl and encourage you to pray also for God’s healing and complete restoration of Gabrielle Giffords and Ariel Sharon. Thank you for covering the families who are hoping for the best for their loved one. Pray that while in the coma state, the Presence of God is revealing His great love to each one of these who do not yet know Yeshua.

Saturday Jan 8th marked the 5th year that former Israeli PM Ariel Sharon lay in a coma after a stroke. His name, Ariel, means lion of God, and Sharon who served Israel in that capacity - like a warrior lion - throughout his life seems almost symbolic of the nation, alive but not spiritually aware. Pray for Ariel Sharon to awaken: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Messiah will give you light."
Pray also for the daughter of an Israeli ministry recovering from surgery removing her spleen, 2/3rds of her pancreas and a 4-inch growth that is being biopsied. She also needs to know the Lord’s great salvation spiritually. Like an anchor of the soul in the storm tossed seas of life, pray also for those who are standing with the Word of Lord for her in times of desperate need.
Pray for the big visions of Israeli ministries – visions that are for serving the people who have come into the community of faith seeking to grow in the knowledge of the Lord and training their children in the ways of the LORD Yeshua. Pray for the God to make a way for the dreams and visions of God to be established in the Land.
Many of the big visions of Israeli ministries are for the smallest people – the children. Peer pressures are especially acute in Israeli schools for believers because there are so few believers. Children often attend schools where there are NO other believers. For this reason, schools and special ministry focus for children and teens is a major vision among the shepherds of Israel.
Pray for the many good seeds that were planted in India by Israeli ministries to bear much fruit in the days ahead. Partnering with Indian ministers, a nation that has been bound in great darkness eagerly received the ministry of the gospel out of Zion by Jewish believers. God is doing a powerful work in the East.
God is also blessing the ministry of Al Hayat Television in the Arab world. Last week as an evangelistic Christmas program was broadcast from Nazareth, before the program finished playing they had already received 1,000 email responses. Another report of an Israeli believer who spent Christmas with the Arab Christians in Bethlehem is a heartening testimony in the Weekly Summary this week. Also the encouraging note that the PA controlled Bethlehem was hospitable to the Christmas celebrations rather than hostile “as the Hamas have been brought to heel or deported to Gaza.”
Like the Christmas celebrations in the Western world, however, there was more Santa Claus than Jesus in evidence in the greater Bethlehem revelry. Among the worshipers of the Arab Immanuel churches there was a different spirit – one new man in Messiah alive and well in Bethlehem.
Pray for the PA President, Abu Mazen (Abbas), who though far from a perfect partner for peace negotiations, is far better than the radical alternatives who would fight to step inside his shoes in leadership.
Pray for what God is doing among the Arab people of the West Bank and Gaza. The LORD has his eyes on many of them, and we have the privilege of agreeing with Him for their hearts to be softened toward the Messiah.
Eddie & Lura Beckford continue to need your prayers. Today another of many court cases brought against them by their persecutors saw the persecutor/accuser, Mendel, lie under oath repeatedly and the judge delay testimony from the Beckfords until March 8th.
Pray FOR the Beckfords and for deliverance for Mendel, the ever present persecutor of believers in Arad.
When the winds changed as the Carmel inferno was approaching the congregation HaCarmel, the Lord spared a congregation this month celebrating their 20th anniversary as a congregation. The guiding visions of the ministry – Jer 1:12, Is 58:7-8, Eph 2:14-15, 22; Is 42:11-13 and Luke 2:32 are reaffirmed on this 20th birthday. Mazal tov, Kehilat HaCarmel!
Mazal tov to Howard Bass also as last Shabbat, 1/1/11 marked the 11th year since he was ordained the full time pastor of Nachalat Yeshua (Inheritance of Yeshua) in Beer Sheva! Abundant blessings upon those who have remained obedient to the Heavenly vision.
In the Galilee during 2010 one of the more than 120 Messianic congregations of Israel reported a blessed year with 19 baptisms, 11 new babies born, 5 weddings, 5 people saved on their dying bed, and 25 new families added to the fellowship. To the delight of the pastor, one of the babies was his first granddaughter. Mazal tov to healthy, growing Israeli congregations.
Thank God! Prayers for a new believer put out of her parents home because of her faith in Yeshua have been answered and she is returned home. Pray for the parents hearts to be softened toward Yeshua by their child, and that she would continue to remain strong in her own faith.
Pray for the believers serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. There are times of relative quiet, but there is always danger and conditions can change in an instant. Pray for Yeshua to be big within each of the believers as they carry out their duties.
Pray also for tender, new souls that have been brought near to God through faith in the Messiah, the Hope of Israel. Pray for those who labor in the ministry – many struggling to make ends meet even as the serve the people practically and spiritually. For every need to met in the name of Yeshua.
The finding of a former Israeli President guilty on 2 counts of rape, is a reflection of the “high level of sexual immorality and Jezebel spirits within Israeli society.” Pray for sexual immorality and abuse to be diminished by right judgments in the courtrooms, for the homosexual and Jezebel agendas to be driven out of the school system, and for the salvation of the former Israeli President…and all of Israel.
The huge natural gas field discovered last week at the Leviathan site is a potential 100 billion dollar blessing to Israel – with serious challenges accompanying including Islamic extremist opposition in the area (like Hizballah), technical difficulties bringing the gas out and processing it, and third a sticky taxation situation that must be worked out. Pray for this to be a blessing to Israel.
