Priority Prayer Focus
Romans 9, 10 and 11 are the most complete exposition of God’s purposes in blinding Israel to the promised Messiah in all of the Bible. The apostle set down to explain the mystery that he warned Christians not to be ignorant of. Now that the blinding of Israel is being removed, so much of the Church stands in need of blinders being removed to this great mystery. Pray blinders are being removed on both sides.

Arni Klein received a word on last day of last year – Black & White being a prophetic sign of the coming year. When Light and Darkness come in greater contrast the grey areas of motives and foundations are revealed. We have arrived at a threshold – let us draw near and see our own hearts in His Light. Arni also shared a good word about the disappointing verdict that came in the Beer Sheva court case a while back when the courts did not protect the Body of Messiah from religious persecutors. “In the natural, one might say it didn’t turn out well considering all the time, energy, resources, prayer, and heart that was sown during those days. We generally expect victory to look a certain way. As we perceived it that battle was not really about right and wrong or our reputation. Our hearts’ desire was that the souls imprisoned by a cultish religious structure would be freed.”
Arni continues: Over recent months the darkness of the orthodox system
has been front-page news. The cover has
been pulled back revealing their intolerance of any one different as being
quite ugly and surprisingly violent.
Could it be that we are witnessing an unexpected face of victory? Rather than this spirit being bound, it is
being given more freedom so all might see it as it really is. … Beloved, this is a strategic
time to focus our prayers on those that are hearing the Lord calling. May this exposure be the push that gives
those that really do love the truth the strength and conviction to make the
break.”
Pray for the Yeshua booklet written by a young IDF believer, along with
his dad whose ministry in the Galilee is the Heart of God. While this booklet is now at graphic design
and translation stage, the young lion and his dad are already at work with the
2nd booklet in the series to present the gospel from a Jewish
perspective and answering common Jewish
objections to Yeshua. Pray for God’s
anointing on their work and the witness that is going forth.
This week we have several in the Israeli Body who are bringing forth original works designed specifically to speak to the Jewish people. From Asher Intrater’s Who Ate Lunch with Abraham, to the One-For-Israel social network sites, to a new site launched the Restorers of Zion to address the objections of anti-missionaries, the Spirit of the LORD is surely stirring these waters. Pray for all these whom God is using to establish effective tools for reaching Jews with the good news.
This week we have several in the Israeli Body who are bringing forth original works designed specifically to speak to the Jewish people. There is fruit that is already being produced from each of these – pray
for those who have come to faith for
safety, humility, basic discipleship, congregational fellowship, and for their
testimonies to stay pure and powerful.
Pray also for those in whom the seed of faith has been planted – that it
will be watered, nurtured and bloom into full-scale new birth in Yeshua.
One of the mothers in Zion is lifting a banner for the prodigals – especially those prodigal children of ministries in the Land. Let us join with her in proclaiming the return of the prodigals. As it is written, ‘Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he shall not depart from it.’ “Return, you backsliding children, And I will heal your backslidings.’ ‘Behold we do come to You, For You are the LORD our God.”

Revive Israel is inviting congregations and prayer groups to join in
with the Messianic believers in Israel on the traditional Jewish Esther Fast on
Wed Mar 7. The will be providing details
in the coming weeks for this strategic intercessory event. Watch the Weekly

We have three strong praise reports this week from
believers who have been on our Urgent Need prayer list – Sophie Benson, Tom and
Joe Shulam. Each is reporting boldly, "People
all over the world have been praying for me” and it is making a difference in
their battles. You can read the
individual praise reports inside the Weekly Summary. Sophie entered the hospital for a bone marrow
transplant on Monday. Pray that the LORD
could complete the good work He has begun in them for healing.
Praise God that He is answering the prayer needs of the congregations in the Land, as Joe Shulam wrote so eloquently, “when the Body of the Messiah is working and being what it ought to be, and stressing the unity of the whole Body of the Messiah across denominational lines and across continents and across races, the power released is truly capable to move mountains.”

The congregation in Acco has an answer to pray for
translators in their service. On the Friday Shabbat service the coming week the
congregation will host 55 Korean guests.
Pray for the blessing of the LORD to be on that connection.
In Haifa and Nazareth, the sister congregations to Acco are also experiencing new breakthroughs and new challenges. We sent a DAILY Arrow from Zion out for urgent prayer
for two Druze believer families last week.
We want to continue to pray for the believers who are living in their
Druze communities. There are often times flare ups of violence against because
of their faith in Yeshua. Pray for the
grace of God to sustain them, protect them and cause the Light of the Lord to
shine in their villages.
Pray for the various ministry, theological and leadership programs that are being offered in various parts of the country – and various streams of the faith. Some do not realize but just as there are many streams of conviction in Christianity, the same holds true in the Israeli Messianic community. Like in the tradition of secular “sister cities” pray for like-minded streams in Christianity to connect with sister congregations in Israel for the furthering of the agenda of God for both.
It is not too early to begin to consider where to give toward distribution of Passover food baskets to low-income Israelis. On unsaved rabbi runs TV ads with crying elderly immigrants in Israel and is likely the largest recipient of Christians donations to Israel. But do you know he is also extremely vocal about opposing sharing the gospel with Jews? Israeli Messianic ministries not only feed the poor, but they also do so in the Name and the power of Messiah Yeshua. Why debate which is good, better or best?

survivors, others beloved family members of believers. Some have been near the gospel for years but
have not made the decision for Yeshua; some are being newly wooed by the
Spirit. Pray for these dear souls to see
Yeshua and step into eternity with Him.

There is no Israeli that is not alert and concerned
with the rapid descent of stability in the nations surrounding them. Like Job, the LORD does have a line that He
will not allow the enemy to cross in touching Israel, BUT that is not to say
that our prayers for Israel’s peace and protection cannot have a limiting
impact on death and destruction. Pray
for great wisdom in Israel’s leaders and an Issachar anointing on the
intercessors for Israel that they may praying with an understanding of the
times AND with spiritual wisdom from Above.
Pray for the Jewish believers and the Christian Arab believers who do the hard work of reconciling as brothers in the LORD. Pray for the LORD Himself to give breakthrough spiritual vision that allows His wisdom to be received and embraced.

Asher Intrater shares a short teaching called Light of the World that contains two of the most profound paragraphs I have ever read outside of the Word of God. This revolves around the statement in John 3:19 “The light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
