Priority Prayer Focus

To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. Proverbs 21:3

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?  Micah 6:8

The opposite of doing the justice and righteousness of the Lord is the spirit of the world which is a compromising spirit. It will compromise with anything to have comfort, peace and safety. That is what we are seeing in so many of our leaders who are compromising the truth and justice to have a little temporary, elusive peace.  They are blinded to the things that make for peace, and are compromising our future through unjust positions.

Pray for good men who will honor the Word of God and stand up for justice even when the prevailing wind is a spirit of compromise.

Arrows from Zion
Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Eddie Santoro of Ahavat Yeshua congregation starts our thoughts on the just recent past holidays in Israel from as Israel memorialized their dead from the Holocaust, then from those who died in wars and terror attacks and finally, the 65th anniversary of the formation of the modern State of Israel.  Santoro notes that will Israel mourned their dead from terror attacks and wars with Islamist nations, in Boston Americans were shocked by a vicious terrorist attack that killed three young people and severely wounded dozens more.  Knowing the grief of so many Israeli families who have suffered through losses in similar attacks as the Boston Marathon attack, Santoro echoed the shock and grief that many Israeli ministries have expressed towards Americans.

Santoro writes:  “In this day, America and Israel are pressed together as they take their place in the battle against these dark forces.  … both nations are prime targets for the fundamentalist radicals that are so committed to destroying all that is good and blessed. We praise God for the partnership between America and Israel and in our own lives feel this reality very deeply, as we share citizenship in both nations. From a heartfelt place of grief and sadness, we share in your grief and join you with our prayers.”

Continuing: “As we labor to build the local body in Israel, we know that we are doing far more than seeing individuals being saved and established in their faith.  Deep in our hearts we understand that we are also setting the stage for the return of Yeshua and the establishment of his wonderful Kingdom. It is no wonder that the enemy is angry. Yesterday's attack in Boston was just one more expression of his wrath as the Day of the Lord draws near.  We are humbly grateful for your participation with us as we labor to see this final chapter of human history reach its awesome climax. The history of this nation is long and great; its contribution to the well being of humanity has been incredible, and yet we are certain that what lies before us will be unparalleled in the history of the world.”

The Ahavat Yeshua congregation asks prayer over the new babies and new marriages going on in their congregational family.  Also ask pray over the leadership couples who are being developed within them and the team that is already in place.

Carried over from last week, Arni Klein of Emmaus Way writes about his prophetic sense from the recent Obama visit to Israel, noting two unusual events that took place as Obama was heading to the airport to return to America.  The  six-ton Presidential limo (named “the Beast”) broke down and had to be towed, and then a final departure ceremony had to be canceled by “a sand storm of unusual dimension arose, seemingly coming out of nowhere”.  Klein also speaks about the contract of honor shown the President in Israel versus the lack of honor show the Israeli Prime Minister while in the U.S.   You can read Arni’s insights inside the attached Weekly Summary.

The Shemen Sasson congregation in Jerusalem, the one that was founded by John Myers, the father of Calev Myers of the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, is now being team led by Calev Myers, Baruch Lieberman and Marcel Rebiai.  John Myers  has returned to the United States to serve as a spokesman for the important work of JIJ in U.S. churches and ministries.  If you would like John to share you can contact for speaking dates at 1-866-545-1542.  John will have plenty to share, between the defense of Israeli Messianic believers and the international activism on the part of Israel.

Meanwhile at the Jerusalem congregation Shemen Sasson is pretty excited about the release of their worship DB “Yigdal Adonai” (Great is the Lord).  You can hear it online here.  Inside the Weekly Summary is a report on a night of worship the congregation held for Arabic and Hebrew youth to fellowship.  They had 300 young people come together.  Other projects is the new Potter’s House home where discipleship and mentoring is going on in a home environment.  Also Art from the Kitchen is “a course teaching basic cooking techniques in a warm and welcoming home environment for our congregation members to bring friends and family to hear about the Lord.”

Shemen Sasson asks prayer for their outreach projects, that the Lord would bring unbelievers to participate, and for the spiritual growth of the congregational members.

Maoz Ministries, Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram, talk about their book publishing, translating the best of discipiling books to Hebrew for the Israeli congregations.  They write, “Israelis have grown up in a climate of hedonism. Anything goes! For most, the only thing they know about “religion” is strict tradition and the generally harsh character of Orthodox Judaism - a faith that most Israelis reject.  Becoming a believer in Israel is a whole new world. Not only is there much to learn and absorb, but much to unlearn.”

Maoz bookstands are in 24 Israeli congregations and Bible bookstores in Israel and this is a worthy project that really benefits many in the Body in Israel.  You can find out how to contribute to this project inside the Weekly Summary.

Orna Greenman of A Sign and A Wonder writes this month about some of the women who are finding freedom through forgiveness in their ministry workshop through the Tabernacle.  Also some challenges they are facing with the loss of a couple of key team members.  Pray for these women who are doing the hidden work of mending broken lives through close discipiling.

Asher Intrater’s Revive Israel Ministry is participating this week in their international board meeting with Dan Juster (Tikkun Ministries), Eitan Shishkoff (Ohalei Rachamim), David Rudolph (Gateways Beyond), Tod McDowell (Caleb Company), Paul Wilbur (Worship Ministries), David McQueen (Beltway Church) and Todd Westphal (El Shaddai).  We meet once a year, along with our younger leadership teams, for relationship building, mutual accountability, and strategy discussions.  Pray for fruitful times together.

Also asking for international participation with the Revive Israel Shavuot “all-night prayer and fasting on the eve of Pentecost (Shavuot). Congregations and prayer houses within Israel will be joining with us with one heart in one accord (Acts 1:14) for 12 hours from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM (Israeli time), May 14-15. We will be interceding for the fulfillment of the promise for a worldwide revival in the end times (Acts 2:17). Prayer groups from around the world will be joining us on internet and live stream. Praise sets and prayer topics, as well as internet connections, will be sent in the coming weeks.”

Israel Pochtar reports that ultra-Orthodox persecution which had dropped off recently is back again against their congregations and members.  Recently the congregation administrator were confronted by two imposing large religious men shouting, taking their pictures and invading personal space as a means of intimidation.  Somehow the Ashdod police were not eager to see “members of a messianic sect” as victims.  Pochtar writes: “We've filed dozens of complaints already with the local police, nothing was ever investigated, and no charges were ever filed against our persecutors, despite us having proof and photographs of them breaking the law.”

Pray for the ministries of Israel Pochtar, and for all the Israeli ministries who find themselves in the crosshairs of religiously targeted intimidation, harassment and persecution.  It is a fact that the local police forces are the first road roadblock to protect the believers in Israel from injustices.  When local law enforcement does not uphold the rights of all citizens equally, it means a long hard road for justice to be carried out.

In fact, since reading the one line regarding the U.S. State Department Annual Human Rights Report by Countries, I have been wondering is the surprising last minute change of the judges in the Jack Teitel case could have been influenced by what was about to be reported by the State Dept in this report.  The goodwill of Christians is necessary to Israel.  Seeing this line - “On January 17, a court convicted Jack Teitel on two counts of murder and attempted murder for attacks in 2008 and earlier against Palestinians and Messianic Jews.”  I wondered what would have run if the Israeli courts had NOT held Teitel accountable for the attempted murder of the Messianic family if it had not reversed at the last minute a deal the prosecutor cut with Teitel’s lawyers to drop those indictments from the charges.

Lots of Israel-supporting Christians are afraid of any type of criticism of Israel, but let’s face it, our loyalty belongs to God and His justice certainly includes the protection of the rights of the Israeli followers of Yeshua!  If you have a problem with this statement, then you do not belong on this mailing list.

Speaking of which, we want to remind our subscribers of the request from David and Leah Ortiz who asked last week for a letter writing campaign on Ami’s behalf.  Letters would appeal to the Minister of Defense who has denied Israel’s recognition of the terror bomb that nearly killed Ami as being a terror attack.  Why? The rationalization being that a Jew cannot commit a terror attack against another Jew. Since when is an IED placed on a family doorstep for religious reasons not a terror attack?  Read more, including a sample email letter at A REQUEST for INTERVENTION & PRAYER

Yo-Yakim and Debbie Figeuras took their congregation on a bus tour of the local biblical sites, and you can enjoy some of their photos inside the Weekly Summary.  There are some interesting sites like the ancient ruins of Tel Arad, and did you know that when Abigail went out to meet David as he came from Nabal tending sheep in Carmel, that the Carmel spoken of was the Carmel in the Negev, not in the Haifa region?  Neither did I!  Isn’t it wonderful to live in the Land of the Bible, where even the citizens of the nation can take dozens of bus tours and see the places all around them where the Bible stories unfolded in real life!

The Figeuras congregation, Hasdey Yeshua (Mercy of Yeshua) is only about 25-minutes from the seaside resorts of Dead Sea which attracts many people seeking healing and relief at the therapeutic Salt Sea.  At the prompting of the Lord, they are now going regularly to minister real spiritual healing and life to the seekers.  Pray for new life to emerge from the dead sea.

One thousand needy families were blessed with food in the month of March by the HaTikva Project which is directed in Jerusalem by Evan Levine.  They have a short video of the outreach online.  Evan and his family will be spending a month and a half of travel in the U.S. this summer.  As Evan writes, this travel for all the Israeli ministries “is absolutely critical for developing and maintaining a strong support base.”  When Israeli ministries are in your area, make an extra effort to get out to see them in person and let them know you are praying for them too.

Joel Jelski, another young Israeli in ministry, is also preparing to be married in 3 months.  (Mazel tov!) Soon after the wedding, the annual Elav conference brought by Succat Hallel will be in full swing. Joel is a key player in the youth conference, and also in leadership of the youth at Ahavat Yeshua congregation in Jerusalem (led by Asher Intrater and Eddie Santoro).

Pray for all the young Israeli men and women who have stepped into leadership roles in the ministries of Israel.   May the LORD watch over them, protect them and cause them to be excellent in virtue and character.  May they be a blessing to the generation upon whose shoulders they stand and to those they minister to in the generations they are reaching out to.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Urgent request from Brian Slater in Netanya for a faithful volunteer in his ministry 73-yr old Nerris.  Please pray for Neriyah, a Chosen People minister in Bat Yam who desperately needs a kidney transplant. He has a donor, but due to some compatibility issues, Neriyah is undergoing treatments now that they hope will remove the compatibility issues.  Pray for the treatments to be successful.   Guy Cohen in Acco reports that the congregant he requested urgent prayer for has been found to have 2 more tumors, one in the lung and one in the uterus. Please pray for this lady and her family, as she just had a tumor removed from her brain.   Please continue to intercede for Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy recovering from bone marrow transplant for Acute Myeloid Leukemia and a second round of chemo following the transplant; Brookie and Tom both in the Galilee are believing for victory over cancer in Carmel.  Brookie’s pastor wrote: We all know that in the natural she is not long for this world, the cancer has invaded her body, liver, pancreas, bones, ovaries....but they are crying out in one accord for God to heal Brookie anyway. Pray for Ami Ortiz for ongoing issues from the bomb blast – and that he would win the appeal for government recognition that he is a terror victim.  It would mean benefits for the continuing surgeries and legal expenses; Ariel of Succat Hallel; Elise Levine suffering from mysterious and debilitating leg pain for over a year.  Pray for Kay Wilson still suffering from PTSD after surviving a stabbing terrorism attack that her friend did not survive.   Keep Baby Netaley’s full recovery in your prayers.  Pray for Pastor Najeeb’s hand – that he will not have to have finger tips amputated after having a car door shut on them.

Priority Prayer Focus

There is no mistaking what the central thread is taking in all that has been written this week by the ministry leaders of Israel!  There has been a shift in the season, and the shift is indicated by more and more Israelis coming forward who are spiritually hungry and willing more than ever before to hear about and consider Yeshua.

That’s why our priority prayer focus is to begin to speak in new expectation according to the vision of Ezekiel:
“Prophesy to the breath…and say ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain that they may live.” (Ezekiel 37:9)

Arrows from Zion
Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

In all my dozen years of compiling weekly prayer requests from Israeli Ministries, I have never had such a powerful sense from reading the prayer letters that the harvest of souls in Israel has accelerated.  There is clear evidence in the overview of the reports from various ministries that there are more Israelis than ever before who are interested in hearing about Messiah Yeshua, and those who are so hungry they are coming for help aggressively.  This is the time to pray earnestly for the Body of Messiah in Israel who are God’s chosen vessels to answer the yearning of Israeli hearts for salvation, Yeshua.

Israel Pochtar, whose congregations have been targeted for religious persecution, is one who is reporting amazing hunger among Israelis.  They recently did a special Gospel outreach event where they brought 1,250 non-believers from Ashdod to the event held in Tel Aviv.  At the event they heard about the importance of Jews living in Israel and God’s plan of salvation through Yeshua.  Hundreds of people stood and prayed the sinner’s prayer to receive the Lord!    Pochtar asks for prayer for the follow up work, for the expansion of their evangelism team and for more workers in the harvest.

Poctar’s team also conducts “Gospel Tours” twice a month, taking 50 non-believers to visit special biblical sites in Jerusalem of the Galilee and sharing the biblical history, as well as God’s plan of salvation.  Pochtar writes, “Sometimes people are willing to pray and receive the Lord right there on the tour bus.”

Pochtar:  “A few weeks ago something remarkable took place during a tour to Galilee. While the group was touring Nazareth and our leader, Eitan was sharing with people about Yeshua, he was suddenly approached by a young man of about 30 years old. He was wearing a yarmulke and asked if Eitan was a local because he heard him speak Hebrew. What happened next was incredible: this young man simply told Eitan, "HELP ME! I feel like an empty tomb, like sin is eating me alive. I tried finding an answer in Judaism, but I received an understanding that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel.. . .(Eitan) said he felt the presence of the Holy Spirit so strong that he could barely speak, he felt overwhelmed and they prayed right there. Israel received Yeshua, said "I now know I received forgiveness of sins."  Read the full report inside the Weekly Summary (by subscription only).

Please pray for these Gospel Tours – for open hearts and ears, for God to bring new people prepared to receive, and for financial sponsors for the bus tours.

This week we hope you opened the Special Arrows from Zion sent out regarding the court victory in the case of the religious Jewish Terrorist who bombed Ami Ortiz in 2008.  This week we have two powerful video interviews one from Maoz and another from CBN, as well as a podcast interview conducted by Chaim Goldberg at Maoz.  All feature David and Leah Ortiz.  Also my follow up article explaining some ‘behind the scenes’ issues: “By God’s Grace, we received a little justice”.

Now we are adding to that A REQUEST for INTERVENTION & PRAYER from DAVID & LEAH ORTIZ.  This is a request for believers worldwide to write the Israeli Minister of Defense to speak up for Ami Ortiz to be recognized by Israel as a victim of a terrorist attack. This is important because it means much needed government assistance funds designated for the legal and medical expenses of terror victims that Ami has been denied.  Why has he been denied?  Because Israel cannot fathom a Jew perpetrating a terror attack against another Jew.   Since when is an IED bomb placed on a family’s door step not a terror attack?  Please get involved: write a letter and pray.

Arni and Yonit Klien are preparing for their move into the Galilee to join with the Ezagouri’s Morningstar congregation.  Arni writes “From the time we immigrated in 1992, we have known Tiberias to be a spiritually dark city.  Believers were fired from jobs because of their faith and the then-main congregational meeting place was fire bombed.”  Read inside the Weekly Summary how they are seeing a remarkable shift in the spirit of the city and about the many signs that visions are converging now for an appointed time to throw the net over the side of the boat for a great catch! The Kleins ask prayer for all the details of their move to be smoothed quickly – also for final permits for the Morningstar facility to be granted without further delays.

Pray for the congregations of the north who are meeting for unified prayer and worship, preparing the way of the Holy Spirit to be poured out over the people in their region.
Eitan Shishkoff, who heads the Tents of Mercy congregation north of Haifa and a network of 4 other congregations in northern Israel, writes of taking in the view from the mountainside overlooking Haifa Bay and experiencing a sense of the spiritual big picture for their region.  He writes:   I believe it’s time to renew our prayers for Israel’s encounter with the Living God. “Prophesy to the breath…and say ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain that they may live” (Ezekiel 37:9).

Pray for the Tents of Mercy network, and for all the other congregations of the Galilee who are linking together for an outpouring of the Spirit on their region.  On April 18 – Thursday – Tents of Mercy will host a regional prayer night for all the Messianic congregations to seek breakthroughs in their nation.

Then on April 22-25 there will be an annual gathering of the Tents of Mercy network and the Revive Israel ministry teams.  Eitan asks prayer that fresh strategies and enlightened understanding  for these two team which are connected by covenant relationships between Shishkoff and Asher Intrater for many decades.

Howard Bass will be one of the featured speakers along with Jan Willem van der Hoeven and Avner Boskey at the 'Spring up, O Well!' Conference begins April 17 and continues thru Sunday evening in the Negev.  Howard writes: It is a conference planned by our sister Elinor for a couple of years, in the belief that Beer Sheva and the Negev have a unique part in what God is doing today in Israel, and its impact on future developments towards the salvation of Jewish and the Arab people.

Howard also wrote what many Israeli ministries are expressing empathy for Americans at the “evil of a terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon.”   As Israel celebrates its 65th year of statehood, Israelis more than any other can appreciate the devastation of terror attacks against innocent civilians, for they have suffered the same many times over.  He notes that as he was writing he heard reports of 3 rockets that have just been launched against the southern Israeli city of Eilat.  Pray for all those who suffer the trauma of terror attacks, that the God of all peace would comfort them and heal them of terror.

Yeshua’s Israel – Kobi and Shani Ferguson – write about their ministry vision which is twofold:  “We are reaching out to encourage the Church worldwide to unite in supporting the Jewish people, and specifically those working towards her salvation. We are also working to develop networks of healthy families and communities, among Jews and Arabs - who are in turn equipping and making disciples of new believers.”  Read more inside the Weekly Summary about how you can partner with their vision.

Revive Israel is issuing an invitation to join in with them and the prayer houses of Israel for an all-night prayer and fasting vigil set for the eve of Pentecost, or Shavuot as it is known in Hebrew scriptures.  “We will be interceding for the fulfillment of the promise for a worldwide revival in the end times (Acts 2:17). Prayer groups from around the world will be joining us on internet and live stream. Praise sets and prayer topics, as well as internet connections, will be sent in the coming weeks. Please join us for this future-history making event.”

Bella Davidov also shares her story for Revive Israel of her first trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau.  Bella was was born in a refugee camp in Germany in 1947 whose parents both survive the Holocaust though losing most of their family and possession.  Read it here Auschwitz 2013

Pastor Najeeb Atteih is an Arab pastor in Haifa whose Christian Book Shop is instrumental in reaching all sorts of people – Arab, Jew and all others are welcome.  Pray for this worthy, yet financially needy ministry that they will be blessed with resources to restock their shelves with new stock of different types of New Bibles, (including large print), commentaries, dictionaries, Bible Concordances, theological books and biographies, among other things.  You will be touched to read Pastor Najeeb’s report of how people are being touched at the Book Shop inside the attached Weekly Summary.   Najeeb also pastors  Immanuel Church in Haifa

David Silver, Out of Zion Ministries, writes about the holiday season that Israelis just passed through from Passover to Independence Day which Israel celebrated yesterday.  He notes that may Israelis do not have a revelation of the miracle of Israel’s rebirth as a nation in 1948.  Also that many Christians also cannot see how great a miracle the modern State of Israel is.  Read his comments inside the attached Weekly Summary.

Brian Slater of Yeshua’s Fresh Bread in Israel puts out an urgent prayer report for Nerris, a 73-year old Jewish believer who faithfully volunteers in the soup kitchen and food distribution.  Complications after a fall that produced 3 broken ribs discovered days after the fall have placed this lady in an critical fight for life in ICU.  Pray for Nerris and read more indepth explanations of the medical issues inside the attached Weekly Summary.

As you can see from the Urgent HEALING Needs section – there are quite a few Israeli believers who need our prayers to fight medical issues that are trying to take their lives.  Pray that not one would go before their days are fully fulfilled before the LORD God whom they serve in the Name of Yeshua.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Urgent request from Brian Slater in Netanya for a faithful volunteer in his ministry 73-yr old Nerris (her story in detail in Brian’s report. Guy Cohen in Acco reports that the congregant he requested urgent prayer for last weeks for multiple brain tumors has come through surgery nicely and is in line for a second surgery next week.  Please keep praying for this lady and her family. Please continue to intercede for Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy recovering from bone marrow transplant for Acute Myeloid Leukemia and a second round of chemo following the transplant; Brookie and Tom both in the Galilee are believing for victory over cancer in Carmel.  Brookie’s pastor Eric Morey in Poriya Ilit reports that Brookie was able to come home for the weekend with much pain eased. She returns for more radiation. Tom & his wife were invited to minister in music for the patients at Brookie’s hospital in Haifa on Independence Day.

The sense we have over the past several days is like the teaching that David Davis at the HaCarmel Assembly preached last Shabbat, and uploaded to Facebook today (Tuesday):  we are treading “A Way We Have Never Been Before”.

We’ve never been this way before so that makes it imperative that we trust where God is leading us and that the things along the way will work together for our good.   Therefore, let’s pray for the whole Body of Messiah in Israel to enter into deep levels of trusting God and overcoming any of those hidden pockets of the heart where our trust is not quite full.  As an honest man said to Yeshua, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"

Praise Report
The praise report this week is, of course, the news that Jack Teitel – the man who tried to murder a Messianic family in Ariel but blew up their 15-year old son, Ami Ortiz, with a package bomb – has been held fully accountable in the Israeli courts today, April 9, 2013.  Teitel has received two life sentences plus 30 years.

Ami’s mom sent me this email this morning:  “Reporters asked him if he regretted his acts and he said ‘not at all’ that he was a servant of HaShem and given the opportunity he would do it again.  I said to the Israeli press that he is completely unrepentant, and is a person filled with hatred and Hell (sounds better in Hebrew than English) and in that condition he needs to sit in jail until the end of his life.  But between us, we continue to pray, and we pray the testimony will not end here.”

The Israeli judges that passed two life sentences on Jack Teitel and called him out as depraved, cold blooded murderer that he is have spoken for the State of Israel.  Justice has prevailed - for Ami and for all of you in the Body in Israel.  This has to have a spiritual impact, for Israel has chosen righteously to protect you all from religious murderers like Teitel.

We have mainly been concerned with justice for Ami and for the state protection of the Israeli Messianic community, but this murder trial was not just about Ami.   By Teitel grouping together his victims as he did - Palestinian, Messianic and Liberal Left - he was saying that in Israel the views of his ilk trumped even the lives of all of you.  That had to be put down officially by Israel, and thank God these Israeli judges did.

Annually Israelis move from the tears and ashes of the Holocaust to God raising up the Dry Bones the prophet Ezekiel saw in a vision: a valley full of bones that came together, bone to bone until they were standing on their feet and God began to put muscle, ligaments and skin upon them.   I never noticed this before, but this re-birth of the nation of Israel that Ezekiel saw in a vision was not called “an exceeding great army” until after the prophesying for the Holy Spirit to enter into them to give them true life.   The “exceeding great army” is a spiritual army that is indwelt by the Holy Spirit of Messiah abiding within Israelis.  We are seeing that “exceeding great army” growing in numbers before our very eyes today in the spiritual Kingdom in Israel.

Ron Cantor has written a wonderful article filled with great insight, clarity and wisdom  called How Adolf Eichmann Brought Healing to Israel If you ever wondered why the Jews of Europe did not fight back against the Nazis, you need to read this article.  Did you know that many Israelis of the 1950's and 60's also wondered that same thing?

Shira Sorko-Ram of Maoz Ministries also has an article out:  Understanding the Holocaust Is Understanding Israel

One thing to note in our prayers:  Each year the Israeli public (in addition to dealing with whatever fearful things are threatening in current events) ride a roller coast of emotion between Holocaust Remembrance Day and Israel Independence Day.  It is the low of lows to the high of highs with plenty of threatening realities sandwiched in between the news.  Pray for the emotional roller coaster to stop at the feet of Yeshua for many Jews.  This is the season for the harvest.

Last week an amazing testimony came in from one of the Israeli ministries, the Meyuseff’s of Gideon’s Army.  Like I wrote to them when I asked permission to publish on my blog, "Truly incredible all the things we go through.  We often look to others as if we are the biggest losers in the world but God has other ideas about us.  Thank God, when He has His hand on us whether we are abased or abound, all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purposes!"  This is a testimony about persevering in faith...and it also dovetails into a connection to the famous Israeli spymaster, Eli Cohen.  Read An Amazing Personal Testimony of an Israeli Ministry

Leon Mazin (Return to Zion Center in Haifa) has a ministry school to build up Israeli believers into strong leaders. It is the Haifa Institute of Theology and one of the teachings that is available in three languages (Russian, Hebrew and English) is featured here on Oasis Media.  Follow this link to hear Eitan Shishkoff in Lesson 4 of He Calls Us Forward

Inside the Weekly Summary are excerpts from David Davis’ teaching on “The Joshua Generation”.  Davis is the leader at the HaCarmel Assembly in northern Israel and this teaching outlines the necessary process for anointing – Purity before Power.  Excellent counsel on how to prepare a young generation to take their place in advancing the kingdom of Yeshua.  Please pray over all the young believers of Israel who are this Joshua generation.

David Davis, and other ministry leaders this week, ask especially for prayers over the young Messanic soldiers who are serving in the Israeli Defense Forces.  At this time there are over 200 believing “Joshua generation” soldiers in the IDF.

Many Christians use the excuse that most Israelis are not holy, nor are they seeking after God, as reason not to support Israel.  But that is exactly why God calls believers worldwide to intercede for and prophesy over Yeshua’s brethren according to the flesh.  Isaiah 62:7 says we are to “give Him no rest” from our prayer petitions “until He establish, and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”  “Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold salvation comes”.  Jerusalem will only be a praise in all the earth when Israel embraces Messiah Yeshua.

Therefore, David and Josie Silver of Out of Zion Ministries asks that we pray specifically: “Pray their hearts will be turned back to their God, to have a desire for their God, so they can be the people of God, they were destined to be and do what they have been called to do.  Pray that Abba will give them new hearts, take out the hard stony hearts and give them a heart of flesh one that will seek after the one and only true God.  Bless your people Israel with salvation! We proclaim Yeshua (salvation) over Israel from the oldest to the youngest.”

From Revive Israel Ministries:  This week the death (from cancer) of an Arab man in Israeli prison who had recruited and dispatched a would-be suicide bomber in 2002, set off riots on the Palestinian streets who were protesting that he had not be released for “humanitarian reasons”.  A person who had been sitting in the Jerusalem café when the suicide bomber was apprehended before he could detonate, gives a firsthand testimony of the incident and the aftermath.  They also ask why the world’s media is so focused on the so-called injustice of such a terrorist dying in prison of cancer, instead of on what he did to land him in prison.  Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil.” Proverbs 12:20

Pray for those in the world who have believed a false narrative about terrorism and humanitarian conduct to be set free from the deceitful lies about Israel.  This is not just a matter of differences of opinion because the truth is not relative.  As the IDF chief Lt.-Gen. declared over his nation this week in a Holocaust Remembrance speech at the Auschwitz death camp on Monday:  "there is no weapon or evil intention that can stand".

Without referencing God, nor citing the verse from Isaiah 54:17 that he was quoting, this declaration from the military head in Israel carries spiritual impact.

It reminded me of the declaration that the high priest made over Yeshua, howit is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.  Like the high priest, the military head does not realize the spiritual significance of what he declared, but as the head of the office he holds, It does appear to have spiritual significance indeed.  Let us pray that word over Israel especially at this time when so many weapons are being formed against Israel.  They may form, but they may not prosper!

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

An emergency request from Guy Cohen’s Harvest of Asher Congregation: One of the members of the congregation was rushed to the hospital where they discovered multiple growths in her brain. One is growing and she will be operated on tomorrow (4/9).  Please pray for this woman and her family. God miraculously intervened while she was in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Pray for His divine intervention and mercy to be felt in the eye of the storm.

Pray for Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy recovering from bone marrow transplant for Acute Myeloid Leukemia and a second round of chemo following the transplant; Brookie and Tom both in the Galilee are believing for victory over cancer in Carmel.  Ami Ortiz for ongoing issues from the bomb blast; Ariel of Succat Hallel; Elise Levine suffering from mysterious and debilitating leg pain for over a year.  Pray for Kay Wilson still suffering from PTSD after surviving a stabbing terrorism attack that her friend did not survive.   Keep Baby Netaley’s full recovery in your prayers.
