Events over the past few weeks should have underscored that to “be in power” is not the same thing as “showing leadership”. We are seeing major shifts in international leadership with Israel, France and Germany showing leadership and those in power in the U.S. and U.K. go all wobbly in providing leadership.

Pray that God will raise up His leaders to do His will in this time of shifting powers – both in the realm of governments (natural) and in the Body (spiritual). Daniel 2:21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.

Pray that we would keep our eyes on Yeshua, not being overwhelmed by fast moving developments in our world, but close to the heart of God, with His vision and priorities for all things before us. Even as He gives us eyes to see the big picture, that we also would have His spiritual eyes for those who are the closest to us – our own families.

Pray for government leaders and those in power to be conformed to the will of God; and for spiritual awakenings in all the nations as God raises up His leaders to accommodate the season of harvest.

Islamic terrorism – whether in lone wolf acts or in the threatening acts of nations like Iran – continues to wield a mesmerizing deception over many in our world. Pray for a breaking of blindness off the faces in all the nations and for the truth to prevail rather than being lulled into being passively overtaken.

Pray for Yeshua/Jesus to be revealed to Muslims increasingly – for mercy and grace to be poured out that many can escape the grip of the cult of death.

Pray that we can perceive the spiritual and prophetic Word of the Lord in the biblical Feasts. Pray that no matter where we are in our understanding of God’s plan for Israel, that we begin to perceive beyond the limitations of our past perceptions – that we hear what the Spirit is saying to us today.

The promises of God to return salvation to Israel are so abundant in the scriptures. Speak them out to God, in agreement with His will that “all Israel” be saved and that day by day Jewish souls be added to the kingdom of His Son.

Pray for the believers of Arad. There is a prevailing spirit of religious persecution and corruption of justice that hovers over the city. Pray those spirits are pulled down and release of Holy Spirit to displace and prevail. The number of believers under house arrest is increasing – this is placing the victims under arrest. Appeal to a HIGHER COURT for their release.

Like a microcosm of the greater Body, the Body in Israel has issues that cause disunity and fragmentation of ‘family members.’ Pray for the bonds of peace and brotherly love to prevail – for the Holy Spirit to intervene in issues of conflict; for the true peace of His will to prevail in all the relationships in conflict.

Continue to lift up the attorneys, the judge and all those involved in the Beer Sheva lawsuit. Important rulings have been made, but we must pray for God’s will to bring the outcome in the Nov 23 trial date and judicial decions in Dec.

Speak blessing over the South Korean Christian filmmakers who have been document the restoration of Israel and the status of believers in the Land. Pray that the Korean prayer warriors would be given revelation of God’s will in the Body in Israel. That the filmmakers see clearly and communicate it with power in their documentary.

Speak blessing over all the Israeli ministries and congregations who have heard the word of the Lord to begin to expand their tents in preparation for the coming harvest. In the early days of small beginnings, it is hard to see how big visions will ever be done. Pray for encouragement – and for help to come to establish the visions.

Pray for the new works being established, like Jewels in the Crown. The LORD their God will save them in that day, As the flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown, Lifted like a banner over His land—

Pray for the indigenous ministries who are reaching the Israeli Jews from the former Soviet Union – which are many. Also for the Ethiopian outreaches. Those who feel like outsiders in their ancient homeland, be made to know they are accepted in the beloved of the LORD.

Ami continues to experience healing in the year and half after being the victim of a religious terror bombing. Pray for God to continue to use this young man and his family as a sign and a wonder in Israel. That the Light would so shine from their lives.

May this be the testimony of all Israeli congregations: “As an Israeli congregation have been able to develop our own style of worship and liturgy that demonstrates our love and commitment to Yeshua as Lord, yet in a clearly Jewish expression of faith – one that embraces both Jews and Gentiles as full and equal partners.”

There are several Israeli ministers we know are in the process of writing books and developing other ministry materials. Pray that the anointing of God would be open them and the Holy Spirit would clearly speak the inspiration into their works.

As Germany emerges as a leader in international politics, it is not strange that this is a reflection of the spiritual exchange that has been going on for several years between German churches and Israeli ministries. Pray that God will continue to guide the spiritual path so that the government paths may reflect the will of God.

Pray for the little baby of the Silveira’s who head the Ha-MaKoM (The Place), The Bible House. Last report the baby was improving after being hospitalized, but no word as to the cause of illness. No weapon formed against this little one shall prosper.

This week I am seeing something as a thread in the Israeli ministries that I have found myself doing time and again when there seemed to be strong opposition bearing down on me: Instead of backing down and giving up, the Spirit within me rose up - pressing forward to expand the previous boundaries.

Pray with Israeli ministries as they respond to what the Spirit is saying to them at this time:

Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited. “Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, and will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.

Thank God for the unseasonable rain in Israel as Israeli ministries met on 9/20 to worship, repent and pray for “All Israel” to be saved. Like a sign, the heavens opened with soft shower as leaders sang “Pour Out Your Grace like Rain.” Pray for literal and spiritual rains to fall upon the Land.

Pray for the perceived turning point for Israel ministries to shortly come to pass – for Israeli ministries to take their place among the leaders of the international body of Christ; for the Israeli Messianics to become part of the unity of the Body worldwide, for Israel to experience the rain of God in the reign of Messiah in hearts.

Pray for the outpouring of visions God is giving Israeli ministries to “enlarge your tents” – the increase of ministry capacities. Several have spoken of new visions given, others are works already in progress – all are FAITH VISIONS that require response with those who perceive the impact of salvation breaking forth in Israel.

Wanted: Intercessors! Several Israeli ministries have recently requested intercessors to join with them specifically to pray over the details of their visions (Guy Cohen, the Lotan’s and others). Pray for the Body in Israel as a whole, but also follow the leading of the Lord to dig deeper into individual ministry needs.

Ask Abba to bless outreach efforts via internet and web technologies like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter; That the connections will increase and multiply for Israeli ministries.

Thank God for Israeli Messianic Jews ministering to Bedouin and Arab Muslims and Druze with the anointing of the Lord to answer their questions! Thank God for salvations – pray for protection of all these new believers.

Financial lack continues to an issue among MANY Israeli ministries. Speak RELEASE of much needed funds. Many stand in need of a miracle to meet their budgets. Ask the Lord to move on hearts to be a blessing.

Thank God for great testimonies coming out of the Elav youth and young adults conference put on by Succat Hallel a couple of weeks ago. Thank God for the spirit of boldness that is being nurtured in this generation of Israeli believers – and for all the spiritual fathers and mothers who are nurturing it.

Pray for those ministries involved in seeking or renovations to new ministry buildings – for the LORD to give favor to cut through red tape and regulations, and the myriad of issues they must grapple with.

Pray for the sick and the bereaved among the Body in Israel – for grace to be poured out; for covering over all the immune systems of the believers against Swine Flu. Pray for God to heal and raise up those on sick beds.

Pray for those who will be welcoming Christians from the nations during the Fall Festival season – for the conference to be full, for breakthroughs in brotherly bonds between Christians and BELIEVERS in Israel, for God to give increase of revelation among Christians about the spiritual Family Tree in Israel.

Praying the Headlines
Pray for the Body of Christ in the United States – one of Israel’s longest standing alliances – to prevail in the spiritual warfare that is going on almost every level for the soul of the nation.

Pray for President Obama to be given a supernatural revelation – like that of Balaam forging ahead in a path the LORD opposed or that of Nebuchadnezzar, who was broken from pride to know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men.

As ministries in Israel gather to prepare their hearts before God before the new year (Rosh Hashana) begins, we are invited to prepare our hearts and will to align with the “new thing” the Lord desires to do in the salvation of Israel.

The ministries in Israel continue to serve their own communities – outreach to believers and unbelievers alike. Pray over them all that the signs and wonders will follow their witness of the power of Yeshua throughout the Land. Pray for healing, deliverance, and revival to spread.

Israeli ministries continue to travel through the nations – both to former homelands and to the four corners of the earth. Pray the anointing, blessing and favor of the Lord to rest upon them as they go in and out with the hand of the Lord upon all they do.

Some Israeli ministries continue to suffer persecution daily – for example the Beckford’s who remain under house arrest - seemingly because the legal system is not willing to employ other solutions to protect Eddie and Lura from being assaulted by religious groups trying to run them out of the village of Arad. Pray for grace – and for them to be remembered as shut-ins during this busy holiday season. The Lord does not forget them.

Israeli ministries will gather to cry out to the Lord for His will to prevail in the final trial dates and judgment of the Beer Sheva congregation trial. Israeli ministries stand with Howard Bass of Yeshua’s Inheritance congregation in Beer Sheva in the lawsuit that came out of the Dec 24, 2005 invasion by a mob. Pray for grace on the Bass family and their attorneys, and for every legal expense to be met. This case is understood as representing the whole Body of Messiah in Israel.

Pray for all the Israeli ministries who will be hosting Christians from the nations during the upcoming Fall Feasts. Pray for an awakening among many Christians who travel to Israel on pilgrimage to the discovery of what God is doing among the believers in the Land of Israel. Lasting connections to be made with believers in Israel.

Pray for the stories of victims of violent persecutions – Christian Arabs like the murdered Rami Ayyad or Messianic Jewish bomb victim Ami Ortiz – to be told and heard throughout the Christian world. Ami’s mom asks for prayer for a successful police investigation in Ami’s case, which she believes police are actively working on the case now.

Pray for Israeli ministries reaching out in new ways including technologies Skype conferences, video blogs – the new communications that make our communities more in touch. Also for new generation who are reaching their generation through music and other interests anointed by God.

Thank God for Christians who understand that it is “of God” to use the “Feasts of the Lord” to speak to Israel in these days. Pray that in this holiday season, indeed, the Spirit would lift the veil and reveal His marvelous work of salvation to the Jewish people.

As the Hebrew year of 5770 begins, pray it will be a year salvation is poured out in Israel. As one Israeli ministry writes: “The years in Hebrew are counted in letters, not in digits. So it creates words, which sometimes have a meaning. The letters of the coming year will create the root word "TA-SHA", from which we derive the words salvation and savior.”

9-9-09 I won’t enter into speculation about any prophetic significance to that date except to note that 9 is the biblical number of fruit – the number of the Fruit of the Spirit, which, when we have been shaped by the Lord in our life to bear all nine in a mature measure, we surely have a strongly compelling resemblance to Yeshua. Isn’t that what the world is looking for - Messiah in us, the hope of glory?

This is also an important anniversary time for Israel Prayer. The first prayer meetings I held for it were just a few weeks before 9/11/2001. When the Islamist attack on America unfolded, it really struck home that the Israel Prayer group was formed for such a time as this. Israel had long been under attack by Islamists and would remain the center of the storm, only now Americans would be drawn into some measure of intimate knowledge of that stress and pain. A few years later, on September 13, 2004 we officially launched Israelprayer.com, which from the beginning has been dedicated to the ministries of Israel.

Whatever 9-9-09 means in a prophetic sense, for me it means noting that what we have been doing for these past eight years is a fruitful work of the Spirit. Standing with the believers in Israel who are being transformed into the very likeness of Messiah, abundant in the fruit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance: against such there is no law.

1. Messianic Jewish immigrants to Israel live with less to fulfill Philippians 3:7-8 in their generation. Pray for the Matthew 19:29 “hundredfold” to manifest in their lives.

2. Pray for freedom of the Holy Spirit to flow in all the meetings of the Messianic Jewish and Arab Christian congregations of Israel. In every meeting, solemn assembly, small group gathering, home church, prayer or worship assembly: Let the power of the presence of the Lord be strong in their midst.

3. Pray for those doing a labor of love to breach the gap between brothers in the Israel – between Messianic Jews and Palestinian Christians. Pray for the Truth to reign and bonds of peace prevail.

4. As the fall Feasts of the Lord approach and many days of fasting and seeking the Lord are set among the leaders and congregations of Israel, pray for God to answer mightily – for the trickle of the “latter rains” to pick up speed and become showers of refreshing on a dry land.

5. Speak over those leaders who are pressing into the presence of God on behalf of the whole Body of Messiah and for the lost sheep of Israel: The LORD cover their heads in the day of battle – the upright shall dwell in His presence!

6. Pray for the Messianic believers from the nations who are returning to Israel. Pray for those who have returned – and are finding out how tough it is to live – to persevere, for the Lord to make a way where they see no way to stay planted and for the aroma of Messiah to permeate their new lives.

7. Pray for the sick – like Aigul – to be healed by the power of God. Pray for the Body in Israel to be protected from pestilence – that no flu or viruses come near their dwellings but Divine protection to be as in the land of Goshen.

8. Speak the power of God to heal, deliver, set free and establish over all the outreaches of the ministries in Israel – those that minister to the needs of the people within the congregations and those without, reaching out into communities bound, hopeless and without the knowledge of the LORD.

9. Poverty and lack are widespread in Israel. Pray for the Churches to help the representatives of the Name of Yeshua in Israel to minister to the needs in His Name. It is against the law to offer “inducements” but it is hard to hide the light of Yeshua that radiates from believers meeting needs.

10. Please continue to pray for the believers who have for years experienced daily persecution – especially in Arad (Beckfords, Figeuras, Polly and others in the Negev especially). Stand with them and tell their story to your Israel loving friends. See an excellent video on YouTube.

11. Pray for favor on the Messianic attorneys who represent believers in Israel, who like Daniel stand before kings and judges representing justice, and the God given blessing to man of individual choice. Pray for favor before God and man to rest upon them.

12. Pray for the will of God to be established during this season of renewal in the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah and the Feast of Tabernacles.

Praying in Agreement with the Israeli Body of Messiah

There is an important increase in violence connected within some sects of religious ultra-Orthodox in Israel. It should set off spiritual alarms in spiritual people as a dangerous development. Pray for the protection of the believers in Israel and also for the unbelievers who don’t ‘measure up’ in the eyes of some. Redemption, not destruction for the lost sheep of Israel.

A Call to the Faithful Who Stand with Israeli Believers On-site intercession in Nov & Dec called on behalf of the trial in Beer Sheva. Whether here or there, please read and stand with the Israeli believers.

Giving was down in the month of August. Pray for release towards the faithful ministries of Israel laboring in the harvest.

Pray for protection of the communications systems – emails, websites, phones, etc. – of those ministering the truth. Protection over staff, equipment and materials.

Religious Knesset members are reportedly pressuring police in Arad to nix the house arrest of Eddie Beckford. The Beckford’s are among those believers in Arad who have been targeted for concentrated persecution over the past 5 years. Pray for grace and the leading of the Holy Spirit for them. Exposure of evil doing to the Light.

Pray for Christians to speak up on behalf of persecuted believers in Israel. Paul called the persecutors “enemies of the gospel, but beloved for the fathers’ sake – which is the balance all believers must maintain in dealing with this. We cannot simply ignore it in silence when the religious persecute and attempt to murder believers.

Thank God for the good report on Ami’s toe. The Lord has been performing a miracle for the young man who became the victim of ugly religious intolerance. Pray for the salvation of the perpetrators, but also the protection of those targeted by this same spirit that stoned Stephen to death. Harmless as doves YET wise as serpents.

Pray for the Lord’s blessing on the Messianic Institute for Russian-speaking Israelis launching this week in Haifa.

Pray for the humanitarian works that are being carried out all over Israel by Messianic congregations and ministries. Pray for there to be abundance in their storehouses so they may minister life to the needy communities they are serving.

Pray for the men and women with abuse problems being ministered to by Israeli outreaches – for the Spirit to make new creatures out of wrecked lives to the glory of Yeshua.

Pray for repentance on the level of entering the salvation of the LORD Yeshua in the coming Jewish New Year of T’sha. Pray for the Israeli believers to stand as genuine, authentic bearers of the indwelling Spirit of the Lord in the midst of their nation – not ashamed of the gospel of Messiah for it is the power of God unto salvation. (Ro 1:16)

Everyday children, families, senior go hungry in Israel. Pray for the resources to be multiplied towards all those indigenous ministries operating feeding programs either through soup kitchens or food coupons. Pray their ability to supply the needs be greatly expanded through the generosity of churches throughout the world.

Sept 20 is a national day of fasting and prayer where Messianic leaders throughout Israel will gather together to seek the Lord for the repentance and salvation of the nation. The invitation to join with them extends out to you.

Pray for the Messianic IDF soldiers – those in training, those on active duty and those in reserves. Pray each will be a shining example of Yeshua’s impact on every person. Pray each will be held in high regard and respect.

Speak a strong immune system to be over all the believers in Israel protecting each one from Swine Flu outbreaks and that NO WEAPON formed against them shall prosper.

Pray for Freda Lindsay, Shira Sorko-Ram’s mother who has had a powerful impact in her 95 years of life educating Christian ministers at Christ for the Nations. Freda is near her heavenly reward, pray for her and the family.

Pray for the unfolding of revelation among the Body in the world today. As scripture notes, we all “know in part”. We don’t all see the same part but the Divine Mystery is bringing all of our parts together that one day we may be “fitly joined together” and “according to the effectual working in the measure of every part.”
