The separation of Passover and “Easter” did not occur at the birth of the New Covenant but rather the separation was instituted in the 4th century when Emperor Constantine set the date specifically not to coincide with the 14th of Nissan date of Passover. So instead of seeing ourselves within the continuity of God-breathed Scriptures which is the revelation of God Himself, many of us see divisions that aren’t really there. We also define ourselves in a way that Jesus and the Apostles would have viewed as historically and scripturally challenged.
I bring this up not to stir up old divisions and pointless debate, but to challenge us all to seek how we Gentile Christians and Messianic Jews are truly one in Messiah. We are one in Him as He said He was one with the Father. One Body built upon the foundation of the New apostles and the prophets of Old – a continuing line of those called out by God as His own.
”For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Messiah.” 1 Cor 12:12

Pray for spiritual eyes to be opened to the prophetic story of the Messiah in the Passover narrative. Many seeds of faith were planted but it is the Son that causes seed to burst forth in bloom. Pray for much fruit to be born in this season of seed time and harvest.
“For false messiahs and false prophets will arise….” Pray that the false messiah in Tel Aviv will be shown a liar and all who have been deceived by his will experience a Damascus Road experience with the true Messiah of Israel – delivering them from his claim that to escape the destruction of Gog and Magog they must obey all rabbinic tradition.
The truth that sets us free is the truth of God’s sacrificial love in giving us the sacrifice of His Son once and for all instead of the blood of bull’s and goats. Giving when we are generally tapped out is an act of faith that men may not observe but an act which God never misses. Pray for the Israeli ministries who are giving their utmost for His highest calling upon their lives – to touch their neighbors and communities with the loving care of Yeshua in them. El Roi.
Trying to stop the messenger comes in many forms – in newspaper articles opposing Christians holding Messianic Passovers, in stealing a ministry vehicle of a fervent evangelist – the enemy of the good news will stop at nothing. Pray for each assault to be overcome and resulting in a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
The word of God is not bound. Pray that it would go forth freely in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank. Those who put their lives in jeopardy to give spiritual water to their countrymen are like David’s men in 2 Samuel 23:15 - poured out as an offering to the Lord. Pray God’s protection over each one.
Seed time and harvest. Seed time and harvest. A generation of spiritual pioneers has planted and the seeds are popping. Pray for the Body to rejoice in this day - the soil has been plowed and hard earth broken up, place has been made for the blossoming of new spiritual life and fruit.
Old dreams and new visions are springing up also in the hearts of many in the Israeli Body. Pray that God would protect and cover, and cause to prosper every dream and vision He has planted for such a time as this. Anointing on all these as they walk out the practicalities.
Pray for the psalmists & musicians of the indigenous Body in Israel – praise awaits You in Zion O Lord!
The lives of the Israeli believers are in many ways unique to the land they live in and in other ways exactly like our own – the same struggles, life lessons, character issues and searching for the will of the Father in our day to day lives. When you are experiencing a particular set of issues in your own life, pray for those in the Israeli body confronted with the same. Petition Heaven for our problems common to all.
Pray for the justice system in Israel – to uphold the rule of law and not to allow certain interests to be a law unto themselves. Pray against the misuse of authority and discriminatory policies used against believers in Israel.
Pray for each of the ministry outreaches in each of the indigenous ministries in the Israeli Body to be blessed, anointed, amply provided for and functioning under mature leaders and workers. Pray for fruit that encourages and delights to hearten the spirit.
Bless the Lord for the life of Freda Lindsay of Christ for the Nations who passed from this life last week. Her daughter, Shira Sorko-Ram of Maoz Ministries is one of the leading ministries in Israel. Pray for the family and the many students from around the world who were trained for service by “Mom Lindsay.”
Thank God for the staffs at each of the Israeli congregations and indigenous ministries. Pray for the financial support of each ministry worker – from the associate pastors to each and every ministry support person. For every need to be met and provisions released.
Pray for our leaders at this critical time – for Prime Minister Netanyahu to lead Israel in accordance with the will of God; and for President Obama to experience a “Great Awakening” – a spiritual eye-opening to God’s will concerning Israel and the United States’ relations with Israel.
Two weeks ago Obama diverted bunker-buster bombs promised in 2008 to Israel for its defense against Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The bombs are now sitting on a military base in Diego Garcia and are being used as leverage to force Netanyahu into concessions to the Palestinians that are not wise, nor in the best interests of Israel. Pray for this under-reported story to be exposed.
Withholding Israel’s only defense against a nuclear-armed Iran is tantamount to a green light to Iran to attack Israel. This is a very serious matter which needs our prayers.

Psalm 102 is noted as “A prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and pours out his complaint before the LORD.” Many of us may be feeling like that is a pretty apt description of our own current situations. Let us take heart from the prayers of the psalmist in verses 12-18
But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations. Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

"This will be written for the last generation, and a people created that will praise YAH." Pray for the youthful generation of Israeli believers who are not only a delight to their parents, but who are also the apple of their Heavenly Father’s eyes – a generation set to do HIS will in the Land of Israel.
Pray for the beach heads that have been established in Israeli cities and those that are in vision stage, as well. A beach head is a secure position from which further advancement of the gospel can go forward. Often times these are not congregations, but common use facilities critical to outreach.
Pray also for support of Arab ministries – some are underground to stay under the radar of radicals in the territories; some within Israel proper have unique opportunities providing they can show financial supporters among the Church in the nations. Pray for every need to be met by these courageous men and women of God.
Pray for the lawsuit against the Beer Sheva Chief Rabbi and against the organization Yad L’Achim, for the verdict to be used by God to further His purposes for the gospel’s sake. Continue to pray over the trial of Ami Ortiz’ bomber, Yaacov Teitel. The LORD loves justice.
Pray for the release of funds for every ministry that is staring down deadlines that there are currently no funds to meet. Pray for the release of funds that have been held back and also for new sources of help to be stirred in hearts for the laborers in the harvests.
Speak blessing on the new generation technologies being activated among Israeli ministries – new ways of reaching out with the gospel and also keeping open communication lines with the Body world wide.
Pray for all the Messianic IDF soldiers. These young believers are not only warriors for Israel but also bear the shield of faith and the Name of Yeshua before their fellow soldiers and officers. Pray for protection for them all, but also for excellence, anointing and opportunity to shine in Him.
Pray for the Christian tourists who tour Israel to catch a vision of visiting to encourage the Body in all the places of Israel where the Name of Yeshua/Isa is being lifted up. Pray for the awakening to the Living Stones that will greatly enrich any believer’s time in Israel. If Jesus were your tour guide, He would take you to see what HE is currently doing in Israel.
An Arab pastor in the north asks prayer for the father of one of their members. The father is not saved and also has 4 brain tumors. Pray for complete salvation, deliverance and healing for this man & his family.
Pray for those ministries in a time of renewal and refreshing, those being replenished for often the most difficult assignments – walking alongside the most broken lives and shattered hearts until the healing of the Lord has been fully received.
Many humanitarian aid works in Israel feed, clothe and help the poorest of the poor in Israel. Fewer of these do so filled with the power of the Messiah in their hearts. Uphold all those who minister hope among the resources they have to distribute.
Effective ministry in Israel means developing relationships in Israel and also in the nations. Israel is a unique mission field –perhaps more challenging on any number of fronts because it is so pivotal to the mysteriously unfolding purposes of God. Not everyone believes it – pray that we increasingly do.
Worship is arising from the north to the south and from the east to the west among the believers in Israel. Pray blessing on the Songs of Deliverance that the Holy Spirit is anointing on both the young and the old psalmists.
Pray for God to reveal His Presence to Israel, and to all those in the surrounding nations whom He shall call according to His purposes.

Yeshua asks, “If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?” Encouraging us to take faith in the Father’s care, He went on to say, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Pray for the Ortiz family as they attend another hearing in the bombing case of defendant Yaakov Teitel. The hearing is for the results of further psychiatric testing to see if he is fit to stand trial. Many would like to chalk Teitel’s acts up as a mental problem, pray speedy justice will prevail.
Continue to pray over the mediations in the Beer Sheva court case and the ultimate judgment that will come forth from that case, and also for the upholding to judgment passed in the Pnina Conforti case. “He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints.” Proverbs 2:8
Pray for Eddie and Lura Beckford who have begun a six-month tour of the U.S. and U.K. speaking in congregations and prayer groups. Pray for Divine appointments and favor along their way.
Continue to surround the Messianic legal teams with prayer cover – for wisdom, discernment, courage and favor of the Lord.
Unity in the House of God in Israel is the request we hear so often –for National Unity among all the Body in Israel, Unity in the ministries of the cities and townships, Unity within the congregations and unity in Israel’s unique culture as the Jewish Holidays have become and Passover approaches.
Pray for new opportunities for Israeli ministers and believers to give an answer to every man that asks them for a reason of the hope that is in them. Pray also for the prayer groups forming to undergird the ministries of the Land.
Two children with severe deformities need our prayers – and also their families. The first a 13 year old girl awaiting serious orthodontic work so the facial deformities she suffers might be lessened; and for an Arab believer whose newborn has Down syndrome and suffers heart defects. Also prayers for an unknown condition in one of the grandchildren of an Israeli minister.
Pray for the new believer who was delivered from a satanic cult and baptized in the Holy Spirit – and for the family who is watching the changes take place in amazement.
Thank God for the ministry of men and women who have given themselves to minister to the down and out of the streets of Israel, to those broken by addictions, prostitution, abuse, poverty and hopelessness. Pray for mighty miracles of God to be released in all these ministries.
Pray for the upcoming ministries for Israeli Messianic youth, that this generation will be firmly grounded, zeal activated and Holy Spirit led.
Visas continue to be a prayer point for Christians volunteering in Israeli ministry teams. It is another function of the Interior Ministry that is placing limits on how long people can stay in Israel. Pray for God’s will to prevail in these matters.

Court cases continue to be the priority news for the Body of Messiah in Israel. Some say, why focus on this and not the threat of Israel’s neighbors? Because the key to the heart of God is the people who are called by the Name of Yeshua – because they carry the key of all Israel’s salvation.
Pray that everything and everyone that tries to bind the good news from going forth in Israel and the Palestinian-occupied areas, will be rendered ineffectual – like the arrows of false witness- to drop to the ground short of their mark. Harmless, impotent, failing to prosper or harm men and women in Messiah.
Pray for every arrow in the arsenal of God, aimed according to His purposes by the Israeli spiritual family in Yeshua to find its mark – the arrows of the Lord’s deliverance. Arrows like “fiery shafts” to scatter the foe, sharp in the heart of King’s enemies in the hands of His warriors.
Pray continual covering of the Lord over the Messianic attorneys who are fighting a spiritual battle in the legal realm for not only the freedom of believers to worship in Israel, but also for the soul of Israel which is reflected in the laws of the Land – those that are upheld and those that are enforced.
Praise God for the good report on both of the little babies we asked you to pray for last week. Both are improving and the parents ask for full health to be restored.
Thank God for restoring true shepherds to Israel – as Jer 3:15, “shepherds according to My heart”. As one of the troubled sheep was laid to rest last week, the heart of one such a shepherd spoke of Yeshua’s continued desire to heal the brokenhearted and deliver the damaged souls in Israel. Comfort those who mourn.
The Holy Spirit of God is moving in supernatural ways among the Palestinian Arabs with astounding testimonies coming out from those who have called on the name of Isa – Yeshua/Jesus. Pray for God’s protection and to complete His good work and will in each one in the name of Yeshua our Messiah.
Leaders are being developed in most all of the Israeli congregations. Pray for the Lord’s guidance and anointing over all these who are as spiritual mothers and fathers to young and old. Pray for a release of much needed provisions to aid the labor of love.
Christians and Messianics the world over are visiting Israel each year – pray that the numbers of those coming and connecting with the Body of Messiah in Israel will begin to be greater than those who come just to sightsee or for reasons that are not related to the God’s heart for the laborers in the harvest.
Worship centers are being planted throughout the Land of Israel and we know that God inhabits the praises of His people. Thank God for what He is doing, behind the scenes and under the radar of the notice of the world, God is restoring His people under His KING Yeshua in Israel.
There is no navel gazing among the passionate ministers of the Lord in Israel – but men and women with vision for the Lord’s harvest in Israel and among the nations. Pray for the provision to be released to fulfill these visions.
Pray blessing upon the Korean documentary about the Messianic community in Israel which has just been premiered in the English version in Jerusalem. It was shown in over 60 secular movie theatres in Korea in January. Pray God will use it mightily to open many eyes to the Body of the Lord in Israel.
The Lord is doing so many mighty things in so many unexpected places – the connection of the Israeli believers with believers in German, the Far East – and not just connections but deeply joining hearts together for a release of power to benefit both peoples. We bless the work of the Lord!
The Lord is raising up an “Esther” church from those willing to humble themselves in their own queenly role before Him, to act on behalf of the rescue of His people Israel. Selah.
Proverbs 11: 25 says that those who water shall themselves be watered. Pray refreshing on those who labor together to rebuild broken and damaged souls – which are so many. These are ministries who seem to be last, but Yeshua calls the “first”.
The Israeli field is not only white unto the harvest, but the crops of the latter rains are already being brought in. Pray for more of us to realize and co-labor with our spiritual family in Israel to bring in and prepare the harvest.
Pray for the Katzir youth conference which will take place March 22 and 24. These are young people from Israeli Messianic families who receive ministry and much needed connection with the fellow Messianic youth of the Land.
Visions for new ministry and congregational facilities, or improvements on existing facilities continue to be a prayer priority. Thank God for the provisions, favor and expertise needed to complete each vision.

Court cases continue to be the priority news for the Body of Messiah in Israel. Some say, why focus on this and not the threat of Israel’s neighbors? Because the key to the heart of God is the people who are called by the Name of Yeshua – because they carry the key of all Israel’s salvation.
Pray that everything and everyone that tries to bind the good news from going forth in Israel and the Palestinian-occupied areas, will be rendered ineffectual – like the arrows of false witness- to drop to the ground short of their mark. Harmless, impotent, failing to prosper or harm men and women in Messiah.
Pray for every arrow in the arsenal of God, aimed according to His purposes by the Israeli spiritual family in Yeshua to find its mark – the arrows of the Lord’s deliverance. Arrows like “fiery shafts” to scatter the foe, sharp in the heart of King’s enemies in the hands of His warriors.
Pray continual covering of the Lord over the Messianic attorneys who are fighting a spiritual battle in the legal realm for not only the freedom of believers to worship in Israel, but also for the soul of Israel which is reflected in the laws of the Land – those that are upheld and those that are enforced.
Praise God for the good report on both of the little babies we asked you to pray for last week. Both are improving and the parents ask for full health to be restored.
Thank God for restoring true shepherds to Israel – as Jer 3:15, “shepherds according to My heart”. As one of the troubled sheep was laid to rest last week, the heart of one such a shepherd spoke of Yeshua’s continued desire to heal the brokenhearted and deliver the damaged souls in Israel. Comfort those who mourn.
The Holy Spirit of God is moving in supernatural ways among the Palestinian Arabs with astounding testimonies coming out from those who have called on the name of Isa – Yeshua/Jesus. Pray for God’s protection and to complete His good work and will in each one in the name of Yeshua our Messiah.
Leaders are being developed in most all of the Israeli congregations. Pray for the Lord’s guidance and anointing over all these who are as spiritual mothers and fathers to young and old. Pray for a release of much needed provisions to aid the labor of love.
Christians and Messianics the world over are visiting Israel each year – pray that the numbers of those coming and connecting with the Body of Messiah in Israel will begin to be greater than those who come just to sightsee or for reasons that are not related to the God’s heart for the laborers in the harvest.
Worship centers are being planted throughout the Land of Israel and we know that God inhabits the praises of His people. Thank God for what He is doing, behind the scenes and under the radar of the notice of the world, God is restoring His people under His KING Yeshua in Israel.
There is no navel gazing among the passionate ministers of the Lord in Israel – but men and women with vision for the Lord’s harvest in Israel and among the nations. Pray for the provision to be released to fulfill these visions.
Pray blessing upon the Korean documentary about the Messianic community in Israel which has just been premiered in the English version in Jerusalem. It was shown in over 60 secular movie theatres in Korea in January. Pray God will use it mightily to open many eyes to the Body of the Lord in Israel.
The Lord is doing so many mighty things in so many unexpected places – the connection of the Israeli believers with believers in German, the Far East – and not just connections but deeply joining hearts together for a release of power to benefit both peoples. We bless the work of the Lord!
The Lord is raising up an “Esther” church from those willing to humble themselves in their own queenly role before Him, to act on behalf of the rescue of His people Israel. Selah.
Proverbs 11: 25 says that those who water shall themselves be watered. Pray refreshing on those who labor together to rebuild broken and damaged souls – which are so many. These are ministries who seem to be last, but Yeshua calls the “first”.
The Israeli field is not only white unto the harvest, but the crops of the latter rains are already being brought in. Pray for more of us to realize and co-labor with our spiritual family in Israel to bring in and prepare the harvest.
Pray for the Katzir youth conference which will take place March 22 and 24. These are young people from Israeli Messianic families who receive ministry and much needed connection with the fellow Messianic youth of the Land.
Visions for new ministry and congregational facilities, or improvements on existing facilities continue to be a prayer priority. Thank God for the provisions, favor and expertise needed to complete each vision.

Luke 20:20 and 23 And they watched Him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of His words, that so they might deliver Him unto the power and authority of the governor…. But He perceived their craftiness.
Today spies have been sent forth again pretending to be righteous sitting among the Messianic believers in Israeli congregations and Messianic congregations in the nations. Their purpose is to gather information to use against believers in Israel, and oftentimes to block Jewish believers in the nations applying for Israeli citizenship. These "anti-missionaries" are beloved for the fathers’ sake, but are at the same time are “enemies of the gospel.” Pray that, like Yeshua, we would “perceive their craftiness” and God would give us the wisdom to speak so “they dared not question Him anymore.”
No man ever laid a hand on Yeshua until His time had fully come. Let us pray these things over our spiritual brothers and sisters in Israel and that they do not suffer any man laying a hand on them before their time either.

Tuesday, March 9, at 9:00, in Beer Sheva Court Shalom the last scheduled appearance before Judge Iddo Ruzin takes place in the lawsuit against Beer Sheva Chief Rabbi Yehuda Deri and against the organization Yad L'Achim. Please take the time to pray over this critical trial affecting the whole Body of the Lord in Israel.
REMEMBER: This is a spiritual battle; no arm of the flesh can defeat a spirit. . .it will simply find another outlet until Yeshua Himself puts away the evil one and evil-doers. But in the meantime, we can submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us. No matter the verdict, we have believed and supported this lawsuit to be obedience to the Lord in this particular situation.
The devil wants to sow discord amongst brethren, and, if he cannot defeat us one way, he will subtly and craftily look for another way to make us fall to the dishonor of ourselves. Pray that none fall, nor dishonor one another.
Thank God for the good exposure of the Messianic believers through the media to the Israeli public. Pray for the recent 30-minute interview on Israeli Educational TV to begin to open hearts to the Israeli believers among them. As the Holy Spirit sees fit, from time to time, there is rearranging where we are fitly joined together. Pray for easy and peaceful transitions - and for good relations to continue in the places left behind. Parting is often not easy, but that does not mean it is not of God. Pray for God to work all things to the good of those who love Him and are called according to HIS purposes.
As Passover approaches, pray that God will put it on the hearts of Christians worldwide to give into Israeli Messianic ministries so humanitarian aid can be distributed to the needy in the name of our Lord Yeshua.
Pray also for the Messianic humanitarian storehouses to be filled – especially along the northern border and the border with Gaza – as the winds of war are blowing again. These are critical times for the Body to reach out to supply the needs among their people. Pray for the border with Syria & Lebanon, as well as Gaza to remain quiet. Pray for God to intervene in the threat from Iran.
Pray for two babies in Messianic families needing healing: Noia, a 2 month old who needs a healed heart is scheduled for surgery. Also Nevaeh, a 15-month old, to receive complete healing from 1st and 2nd degree burns.
Recently it was revealed that the “Jewish terrorist” Yaacov Teitel admitted that he had worked with Yad L’Achim for five years. A legal petition to the Israeli Attorney General has been submitted asking that the organization be designated a terrorist organization and outlawed in Israel. Pray for godly wisdom for the AG Yehuda Weinstein.
Pray for God’s protection of the courageous believers who filed the petition and for God’s wisdom to guide all decisions in the matter. WHAT CAN YOU DO? Follow this link to the letter writing appeal on the AmiOrtiz website.
New theological courses and teaching conferences are being put on for Israeli pastors and others in ministry leadership. These are Israeli leaders teaching Israeli students of the Word. Pray for the anointing on both the teachers and the students, for solid and spiritually equipped leaders to be raised up from among them.

As I sat going through the 2009 donations getting prepared to pay taxes on these gifts, I was really blessed. We have never put a strong emphasis on our need for financial support in this ministry and until the past year we had few regular supporters – to be counted on one hand! Thank you so much to those few and faithful friends who have regularly supported what this ministry has been offering freely and weekly over the past nearly 9 years of existence. You know who you are and I am so grateful for you.
Thank you also to all those who came alongside this ministry with gifts during 2009 – a year when great financial stress has been felt by most of us. Again, a few of you made major donations at times that truly and dramatically saved the day for me.
I am still not in a position to apply for non-profit status – it costs about $500 to file for 5013c – so I really appreciate everyone who donates to me despite my not having the tax write off to offer you. (Makes me wonder how ministries got donations before non-profit tax breaks became de rigueur to giving.) Maybe an existing non-profit on this mailing list would consider it a mitzvah to cover Israelprayer under its 5013c? I understand it is an easy thing to do with little to no cost.
Whatever the case, we are grateful for those who have determined that the work we are doing here in the service of the Body of Messiah in Israel is worthy of financial support. I am very thankful to God for moving on the hearts of all those who gave last year, and those who will give during 2010.
