Israel has just counted the cost of freedom with the Memorial Day ceremonies in every town and village reciting the names of their war dead from that town. It is the sobering memory that Israelis commemorate each year the day before celebrating the founding of the State of Israel. As one Israeli ministry wrote: “Here is the pain: to be at last in our land after 2000 years, yet not allowed to exist in our ancient homeland without continual warfare. The need to keep fighting and dying in order to live.” Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.

The national anthem of Israel is HaTikvah, The Hope. Pray for the true Hope of Israel to be revealed to the people – Yeshua, and for His anointing of peace and light to rest upon all those Israelis who are bearing witness of this hope in Him to the nation.

Speak blessing on the new congregations and the new ministry works that are underway among the indigenous Jews and Arabs in the Land. This is a hard field of ministry labors and almost all have the choice for easier fields instead. Pray God would double the blessings for all their sacrifices to do His will.

Pray for the maturing process as new fruit is reported in so many of the congregations. It has been noticed among the ministries that Israelis are more open than ever before to gospel – which is indeed good news. Pray for the Word to go deep into the hearts of the hearers.

Pray for blessings during the peak times of tourism – that many Believers will come to do short term missions and to connect and bless the Body in Israel. Many opportunities exist, that many may be blessed. Pray for full houses at all the Believers Conferences and tours over the next several months of prime time tourism.

Israeli ministries are traveling to the four corners of the earth – pray for fruit in every place their feet shall tread and hearts open to receive. Speak out that hearts will be opened with vision for the salvation of the Jewish people and the Church’s role as a “Ruth” to “Naomi”.

Pray for full schedules – even filling up with new opportunities as they travel – for the Israeli ministries now ‘on the road’ for the Lord’s work in Israel. Pray for the true blessing of the Body, pouring from one vessel to the other.

Children are overflowing in the Messianic congregations of Israel! Pray for the visions of these pastors who desire to build strong believing families and minister to the little children as Yeshua instructed. Resources to be released to fulfill the dreams and visions for childrens’ ministries in all the congregations.

One Israeli pastor wrote, “Please know that the family of the believers here in Israel, 90% of them are from lower than the middle class of society.” Pray that Christians will re-evaluated their giving to support Israel to include the material needs of our own spiritual family in Israel – the believers’ ministries & outreaches.

Wedding bells and engagements continue as a new generation of Israeli Messianic families reach marrying age. Pray for blessings on these unions and that they will walk out the perfect will of God in their lives. Mazal tov to all who are rejoicing.

Pray for the families of believers – that their hearts would be opened to receive the Messiah. And for all they bear witness to – we pray for a breaking of bread to open hearts to the breaking of the true Bread.

Please continue to pray for the Beer Sheva lawsuit with is awaiting the final verdict in the congregational case against those who rabble roused a mob takeover during a worship service. Pray for the Judge to give a righteous ruling that is God honoring and to disallow such illegal conduct against the faithful.

Pray also for the release of all the additional costs of the legal and court fees that has piled on through the case being extended three times.

Pray for the ministries to allow God to direct every aspect of the ministries and to give each effective strategies to reach Israelis with the good news – the year of the Lord’s favor & lasting fruit for the Kingdom.

Please pray for a congregation experiencing strange health issues recently especially among those members involved in evangelistic ministry. Thank God that no weapon formed against them shall prosper – weapons may form, but they shall not prosper!

Pray for protection and further victories in this continued spiritual battle. For renewed strength and strong faith to defeat the plans of the enemy to frustrate the work.

Pray for two Israelis who have been fighting for their citizenship for several years who went out of the country to renew their visas then were not allowed re-entry to Israel. Their teenage son is still in Israel where they own land. Pray for God’s intervention, wisdom and favor for them.

Thank God for His touching the hearts of believers worldwide to bless the Body in Israel so they may in turn bless their countrymen in the Name of the LORD Yeshua.

Pray against interference in our communications – which are vital like the networks of blood vessels throughout the body! Pray all blockages to be removed and unhindered communications flow.

Keeping the Sabbath by Asher Intrater 4/25/2010

When sharing the gospel in Israel, we have to deal with the question of whether we “keep the commandments.” When religious Jews say, “commandments,” they mix together the biblical commandments and the added rabbinic commandments. If we say “No,” we have lost the authority of the scriptures. If we say “Yes,” they ask about which “halacha” (rabbinic laws) we keep.

Our answer to this question has to be an unequivocal “Yes,” but then immediately explain that we have a different method of doing so. The first difference is that we accept biblical commandments as authoritative, but not rabbinic commandments. When I explained this on Israeli television, the interviewer readily understood our position. The discussion then opened up into many deeper issues. (He thought we were like the Karaites, an ancient sect of Judaism which receives scriptures as authoritative but not halacha.)

The day before celebrating its 62nd Israel Independence Day which is today, Israel observes Memorial Day – a day to remember the sacrifice of over 22,000 Israeli Soldiers who have died in defense of the nation…. And for the over 1,700 civilian terror victims.

In relation to these two back-to-back major Israeli holidays, I am reminded of Isaiah’s prophecies – first Isaiah 40:1: “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, says your God.”

Then, Isaiah 62:11-12: “Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes; behold, His reward is with him, and his work before him. And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.”

Israel has fought on average a war for each decade of its existence and not a family in the country is unstained by the blood of war. Pray for people of Israel to receive the comfort that only comes through relationship with our Redeemer –for God’s Salvation, Yeshua, to be seen throughout Israel.

Israel is where natural outworking of “spiritual warfare” is so manifestly perceived in the reality of the natural warfare Israel must wage to survive against its enemies. “It is a true statement that we must fight for liberty and peace.” Lift up the arms of Israel’s soldiers, leaders & people.

As Israel celebrates the Feasts and holidays of the nation, Messianic believers have opportunities to be a testimony of Messiah’s love to their own blood families. They ask intercession for the Lord to remove the scales from the eyes that Yeshua might be seen in the midst of the feast traditions.

Pray for all the ministries going through changes right now in congregational infrastructure – either through changes in staff or in the development of deacons, elder, teaching staff, etc. Speak blessing upon the outreach visions for all those expanding their tents to minister to needy communities.

Next month, the judge will render his judgment in the important Beer Sheva lawsuit that was brought to protect the right of Messianic congregations not to be invaded by mobs. Pray for the verdict to be aligned perfectly with the will of God.

The indigenous ministries of Israel are the ones who are laboring in the Lord’s harvest there – not only among the Jewish people, but also to Arabs – Muslim, Druze, Bedouin. Supernatural visions and dreams are preparing hearts for the gospel. Pray for these new believers, many with callings on their lives.

Israeli ministries are transitioning with young families entering into lead ministry positions, and the elder Baby Boomer-generation releasing more responsibilities to the younger. Pray for all to be beautifully fruitful in every season and stage of their ministry lives. Bless the children & the children’s children.

Pray for Israel’s Pro-Life Ministries, Single Mothers Outreaches, Ministry Houses for Addictions, Homeless Ministries, Terror Victim Humanitarian Aid, Orphans & Widows Outreach. "...inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ Mt 25:40

Pray for the summer camps for the youth of believing families put on by congregations all across Israel. These are important times for the children to be connected with believing peers and built up by the faithful workers who come together to strengthen believing families in the faith.

1 Cor 11:29-30 says, “For this reason – not discerning the Lord’s body - many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep.” Pray that the Church who has not discerned the Lord’s body in Israel - our spiritual family in Him – would awaken from this spiritual sleepiness.

As the tourist season in Israel begins to gear up, pray for many more Christians and Messianics to part from the traditional sightseeing tours and hotels, and connect with the local believer congregations. Believer owned hotels, Guest Houses, Bed & Breakfasts exist throughout the Land.

Opportunities abound for those believing tourists to roll up their sleeves and help in the believer communities of Israel. Everything from prayer houses to practical helps ministries. Pray that God will stir many to get off the beaten tourist path and to also to support the Body while in Israel.

Ami continues to amaze doctors who worked on him after the terror attack two years ago as his healing has been beyond their imaginations or expectations. Pray for two upcoming surgeries to exceed expectations and miracles of God to manifest especially on the hearing issues.

Pray for the family as the attacker undergoes EXTENSIVE psychiatric testing to determine if he is psychologically capable of standing trial. To American understanding of this type of testing, this extended testing smacks of being a ploy and a loophole to prosecution of Yaakov Teitel. Pray the Lord guides the court and does not allow this murderer to escape accountability on false insanity claims.

Pray for open doors to the Israeli ministries to new partners and new areas for these ministries to communicate the wonderful things the LORD is doing among them. Open hearts in all the places where the feet of these ministries tread to rejoice in the faithfulness of God for the redemption of Israel.

Bless the fund raising events and the conferences of Israeli ministries, both in the country and in the nations – for strong bonds to be built for the work.

Pray for Israelis as a corruption scandal involving the former ultra-Orthodox mayor of Jerusalem and former PM Olmert has shocked Israelis. Pray according to 1 Tim 2:1-3 for all who are in authority – and that the corrupt be shaken out as those with integrity raised to positions of authority.

Pray for the leaders in the nation of Israel during perilous times – as every time when God was doing something spiritually big in Israel, the enemy did something equally big in the natural to kill Israelis and cut them off from their Divine Destiny. Pray for the enemy to be on God’s SHORT LEASH!

Reversing the Curse
(from a message by Asher Intrater, Passover and Baptism)

Two thousand years ago, our forefathers cursed themselves and us by rejecting Yeshua and proclaiming, "His blood be upon us and upon our children." Matthew 27:25 Think of the power of this curse: Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed. Our people were sent into exile and suffered in every country.

Yet the blood of Yeshua was not intended as a curse. How much stronger the power of the blood will be when it is proclaimed by our people as a blessing? Romans 11:15 asks the same question, "What will their acceptance be but life from the dead?" The same power that dispersed and destroyed will regather and restore. There will be resurrection from the dead, the unity of the Church, the ingathering of the saints, and the kingdom of God on earth.

We Messianic Jews in Israel stand with one voice to reverse the curse. We proclaim that the blood of Yeshua will be upon us and upon our children for good and not for evil. We proclaim the power of that blood to bring blessing to the people of Israel and to the whole world.

Please join together with us in making this declaration.

APRIL 15 NEXT COURT DATE IN THE BEER SHEVA TRIAL The matter could be resolved by a public apology from Yad L’Achim and Rabbi Deri, or failing apology the Judge could rule within 30 days. Pray for God’s will for Israel to be carried out in this strategic case for believers in Israel.

With fresh reminders in our own news headlines that Israel is continuing to struggle against the spirit that ruled Pharaoh ( the spirit seeking to cut off the Deliverer by murdering Israelis), Israel remembered the Holocaust yesterday. Pray for U.S. leaders – that God will soften hearts, expose lies & remove those who are operating in the counsel of the enemy rather than of the LORD.

One third of Holocaust survivors in Israel live under the poverty line and in 2009 only ¼ of the 230,000 survivors were eligible for government services in Israel. Many in the Messianic ministries reach out to this group to meet the practical needs. Pray for them – for provisions and LIFE in the name of Yeshua!

Is the harvest coming in within the Land of Israel, or is it wishful thinking? Nearly 80 Messianic ministry leaders meeting last month agreed among themselves, they are witnessing a new openness to the Gospel among Jewish people. Pray for the light rain to become a downpour on the thirsty souls.

Pray for multiplication of indigenous ministry in Israel and in the Palestinian-controlled areas. For congregations to overflow and for house groups to multiply throughout the Land.

Spring and summer, the Israeli ministries are going in and out of Israel – renewing ties with friends and supporters in many land. Pray over each, that these are fruitful times and filled with Divine appointments.

Israel Independence Day is coming, but first Remembrance Day to commemorate all those who have lost their lives since 1948 defending the Jewish homeland. These are sobering days for Israelis – pray for the Body of Messiah to shine brightly with Israel’s Hope – the knowledge of Yeshua.

Watch for Israeli Messianic ministries appearing at church and Messianic congregations in your area. If you have never seen an Israeli ministry, make a special effort to hear the great things the Spirit of the Lord is doing in Israel directly from those who are co-laborers in His harvest fields.

Speak blessing on those Israeli ministries who are fulfilling the mandate in their generation to take the good news of Yeshua out into the nations. This mandate has never ceased and is a valid today as it was in the first century Acts of Apostles. Like Paul, they are reaching Jews and peoples in many nations.

Pray for the young ministry whose car was stolen in an Arab village while ministering. The enemy works to limit those who are bringing good news into desperately dry areas. Pray for the release of much needed funds to replace the vehicle – an absolute necessity they need a financial miracle to replace.

In 1983 I discovered that God was not aloof and unconcerned with my life as I had thought for almost 20 years. I found out God was near - even NOW - and almost my first response to that, looking around the mega-Church was, "This is absolutely fantastic! God moves today, but where are the Jews? The expectation that the Good News is meant for the Jews TOO has never left me.

It is good to remember the vision that God gave us when we started down the path of His son. At this time of the Passover and Resurrection may we all reflect on the first things He impressed upon us and where we are today in relation toward those visions.

Speak blessings upon the newly dedicated “Gardens of Life” (pro-life) forest. Now believers can plant trees in Israel in a forest area that is dedicated to Yeshua and given by the Catholic church to the Body of Messiah in Israel. Pray for more releases like this to the Israeli Body. Psalm 92:13

Yeshua in the Feast of Passover – where the two ‘camps’ of God are made one in Him. Pray for both Christians and Jews who do not yet grasp the significance what they mutually share in this Feast God commanded Israel to observe throughout her generations. A revelation that is good to the end.

Spring time and summer – with Israeli ministries and visitors from the nations going in and out of the Land. Pray for blessing coming in and going out, and for new and Divine connections to be made en route and in every destination.

No matter how the truth is hidden away and covered over, God has His ways of exposing it to the light any time He deems to be the right time. Pray for many to view the excellent video presentation by Jacob Damkani on the ancient Messianic presence at Susya, near Hebron.

When the widow dropped her mite into the contribution box, Yeshua took note saying she gave more than all the rich that day. He also takes note of the sacrificial ministries of so many heads of congregations and their families to their communities. Speak blessing upon each one abundantly.

April 15th is the date set for the last court day in the Beer Sheva trial. Please keep it in your prayers.

Pray for the fathers’ hearts to be for the children, and for the children’s hearts to be turned to the fathers. Hardened hearts is the battle we all face as the world becomes more broken and heartless – it is a challenge even for believers to have soft hearts. Speak God’s miracle of soft hearts for each other.

The work of the Holy Spirit is to soften the heart, like preparing the soil for the seed of the gospel to be planted. Some soil – even at a young age – can be so hard it seems impenetrable. For those who desperately need the good news, pray for showers of the Holy Spirit – like monsoons to soften.

Thank God for the work that is going on year by year to build up the youth of the Body in Israel to be strong in the LORD and the power of Yeshua’s might. As big steps are taken to “walk on the water” pray for a solid foundation to be underfoot – for all involved.

In a series of parabolic descriptions of the heavenly kingdom, Yeshua said lastly that every serious disciple of the kingdom “brings out of his treasure things new and old.” Thank God for the input of Hebrew context, language and thinking that the Israeli Body contributes to our spiritual treasuries.

There are those that look at and see only a tiny cloud no bigger than a man’s hand, and others who see the same and run with the surety of the promise of rain. Open our eyes when it is hard to see what is the small beginning of a magnificent outpouring.

Settling in to Israel as a new citizen means being stretched to new limits in many ways. Pray for those transitioning and for their ministries to continue to flourish within Israel and without.

Pray over the many outreaches of the congregations of Israel – for anointing to meet every need, for favor with officials they deal with, for the maturing of ministries within the congregations and for multiplication of laborers in the harvest.

Pray for those who are outgrowing – or have long since outgrown – current facilities. It is a blessing of a problem, but a problem nonetheless. Pray for God to open doors that no man can shut, and to shut doors that should not be entered. Pray for multiplication of resources for the houses of Yeshua.

Prime Minister Netanyahu declared, “Jerusalem is not a settlement. It is our capital.” Though the world may align against that truth, it is a biblical as the day is long. Though the leaders of the nations speak pressure on Israel’s leader, the kehillah-congregation of Messiah throughout the world is a prevailing majority when it speaks – like the Israeli PM did – in agreement with God’s Word.

Job 28:11 What is hidden He brings forth to light.
