Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream of an America where his children would “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Similarly, Ephesians 2:15-16 speaks of the ‘dream’ of God in Messiah, “to create in Himself one new man from the two (Jew and Gentile), thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.”

Pray in agreement with the vision of God to make one new man in His Messiah - transformed by the content of Yeshua's character.

“significant political shifts are often an indication of spiritual changes happening as well” Pray for discernment among Israeli ministries to know when seasons of harvest are forming both in Israel and among the nations where they are ministering.

Pray for each to discern the “foundational shifts” that are occurring in the spirit that we all might flow with the new things the LORD is doing. The darkness that has blinded Jewish eyes is being pushed back so that Light is breaking in. Pray for strongholds over minds to be broken.

Pray for the 30 minute Channel 2 interview with one of the major Messianic Jewish ministry leaders that will be aired this coming Friday (1/29). Pray that whatever the underlying agenda of the interviewer that the Light will break through in the final editing cut which will air. (Interview was taped 1/25).

Pray for the spike in technical communications interference happening among key Israeli ministries – covering cell phone service, email, web sites, etc. Speak a breaking of access to interrupt and to monitor the communications of those serving the purposes of God in Israel. No unlawful access!

Pray for Israeli ministries going out to minister and international ministries coming in to be ministered to by the indigenous Israeli ministries – for the bonds of brotherly love and pouring from vessel to vessel to be the fruit of this partnering ministry times. God’s appointments coming and going.

Be in agreement for the national vision for worship that is being birthed among the Israeli ministries – for Judah to lead in praise for every battle that lies ahead in the spiritual realm and for the State of Israel.

Speak the healing power of Yeshua to be the daily bread of all the Israeli believers who need to touch the fringes of His tzitzit. “If any two on earth agree (like Jew and Gentile) as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven.”

Speak blessing over the young ministry families who have been taking their place by their fathers and mothers in the leadership of ministry in Israel. There is a prepared generation rising up to labor in the harvest and they are standing on the shoulders of their elders who have plowed the hard ground.

Pray for a growing openness and eagerness in the Churches worldwide to hear the marvelous things the Lord is doing in Israel. Some think Israeli ministries are only interested in promoting Israeli political interests – but by far my experience is they desire to impart how GOD IS MOVING among Israelis.

Thank God for those who have been dedicated to planting life in the very places where death stalked – as in Kements-Podolsky in the Ukraine where a Messianic congregation is being established in the place where Hitler first instituted his “Final Solution” for the Jews.

Israelis continue to do humanitarian outreach to the Haitian disaster victims including Messianic Israelis providing much needed medical supplies. Israelis are also shipping out Special Patrol Officers of the Police Department as part of an international policing effort and to train and rebuild the Haitian police department. Pray for Israel to receive mercy in times of need as they have also given mercy.

Blessed are the merciful, they shall obtain mercy. The Israeli government and also Israeli ministries extended immediate help to the disaster struck people of Haiti. Pray for the mercies of the Lord over those who are being ministered to, and to those who minister…Thank God for them.

Thank God that we are not alone when physical illness attacks our bodies, but we have a faithful Abba to cry out to for healing and by His stripes we are healed. Thanking God for miraculous healings and healings by the hands of the best doctors in the field.

Thank God for the fire of worship upon the young believers in the Galilee.

Thank God for the growing work God is doing among the Korean Church whom He is awakening to stand by the believing brethren in Israel. Thank God for their film “Restoration” now playing in the theaters. The film is about the Restoration of Israel, and the Messianic believers in Israel. Ami Ortiz' story is central to the film.

Thank God for solidarity of the ministry leaders of Israel behind the Ortiz family as the case now begins to go through the judicial process. Pray for the response of the worldwide Church and Messianic community to support the “Hate Crime Prevention Fund” to protect all in the Israeli Messianic community.

Thank God for judicial decisions that have favored Pnina Comforti protecting her rights. Though there is continued maneuvering by religious authorities to run her out of business “every tongue that rises against her in condemnation we render a verdict against: No weapon formed against her shall prosper!”

Thank God for pulling the covering off of a dangerous cult in Israel. We thank God that He will continue His ‘operation clean sweep’ uncovering and exposing cults, manipulation, dominance, controlling, and destructive leading.

Thank God for raising up new congregations in Israel to minister to sabras (native Israelis). It is more important than most believers realize. Speak blessings upon these who are as Jewels in the Crown of the Messiah King.

Give Thanks for the boldness of the Christian Arab pastors, evangelists and other servants of God. Speak the covering of the Lord’s full protection over them as they minister in the name of Isa/Yeshua/Jesus. They are lights shining into the darkness.

Thank God for the ministering women among the Israeli Believers who work in the pro-life movement. There are many believer operated ministries ministering to women with unwanted pregnancies, and also in seminars and other training conferences.

Pray for the Christian Arabs – and those who are very close to being translated from the kingdoms of darkness to the Kingdom of Light. Some stand in pressing and immediate danger. Thank God He is drawing even those who have belonged to terror groups – drawing them with the love of Yeshua.

Thank God for sending out evangelistic ministries from Israel, those anointed to proclaim good news and to encourage their brothers in the faith in foreign lands.

Pray for grace over each of the Israeli believers - whatever their circumstances, that they would have grace to bless their enemies and to do good to all – whether kindness or love is returned or not.

Pray for Israel media and officials to be pricked in conscience for failure to denounce persecuting acts against the Jewish believers in Jesus when they are willing to voice denunciations even against Muslim mosques. Pray for a love of the truth and true justice to prevail.

Pray for a spirit of repentance upon the people – for Israelis to desire personal purity, justice and truth.

We are not engaged in a religious battle for domination – but we are in a spiritual battle for the Truth to be revealed through who we have become in Him. So let His light shine through the lives of His servants in the Land as a beacon set upon a hill drawing all men unto Yeshua.

Pray for the ministry that is going on among all the people groups in Israel – for the Arabs, the Druze, the Bedouin. As the days of the Acts of the Apostle, after one person is healed a whole village is suddenly open to gospel. Pray for God to move mightily among the courageous evangelists moving in these realms.

Despite what Palestinian claims are in news reports, Arab Christians have been fleeing from Palestinian -controlled areas because of the immense persecution, even torture and murder. Pray for those believers like Egyptian-born Rev. Majed El Shafie who works to shed light on the true situation of Christian Arabs.

There is a veil over the face of the Church – a blindness to many realities in Israel. Pray for the “God’s honest truth” to be revealed to many. Our true spiritual brethren – whether Jewish or Arab – suffer persecution from their own blood brothers for the sake of faith in Yeshua as Messiah.

Pray against bitterness, deception and manipulation operating in those who have formerly walked in the way of Messiah. Pray for repentance to come and deliverance for those spirits that come to torment those who are held in bondage to unforgiveness.

Strengthen those who are in spiritual authority who must exercise judgment within the congregations as the apostle directed the Corinth congregation of old. May the Body be made stronger for operating in biblical authority to protect the flock and to put the wayward on spiritual notice.

Pray for the ministries who are building up the saints in Israel – creating stronger marriages, happier kids and strongly bonded families. Speak provision and favor over them, and health to all their family members. Remember those who are struggling with health attacks in the congregation membership.

Pray for all Israelis who are dealing with media now – and there are many. Pray that God will give them a mouth to speak for Him and well as His representatives.

Pray for Rabbi Shlomo Riskin who has come under withering opposition for having some openly nice things to say about “Rabbi Jesus”. Clearly Rabbi Riskin is a lover of true and justice, or he would not have nice things to say about Yeshua. Pray for the Messiah to be revealed to him and others like him.

Two new documentaries are emerging this month, pray that God will use them to speak to His people the message He has in them.

(1) Against the Tide, the story of a U.S. activist working to make the WWII rescue of European Jews a top priority; and

(2) Waiting for Armageddon, a documentary on evangelical Christians and Israel. How Israel should differentiate between “good friends” and “true friends” can also be instructive to Christian viewers.

The Acts of the Apostles is a book of the Bible chronicling the ministries of Israeli Jews in the first century. It is a book that does not have an end and in fact, is a book that has RESUMED as readers of this weekly prayer letter may bear witness to.

Thank God that He has come full circle in His plan and is once again raising up the Body of Messiah in Israel – who are “Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern Adonai Messiah Yeshua, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”

The gospel in Israel must not be words alone, but also backed with good deeds and "facts on the ground" - the restoration of Zion, settling the land, and influencing the marketplace. Pray for the grace and favor on all the influence of the Body in Israeli to bring the nation blessing.

Pray for the ministry leaders, and those who are being trained to step into positions of service in ministry and in the marketplace.

It is not only the devil working in Israel – which is what you might think listening to some – but God is working mightily in signs, wonders, healing, deliverance and salvation throughout the Land. The kingdom of God is like leaven hidden in three measures of meal until all is leavened.

Continue to ask God for the latter rains upon Israel – physical and spiritual rain to fall from heaven.

Ask God for men to give into the storehouses of ministries in Israel, that the widows, the orphans, the down and out among the people would be blessed in the Name of Yeshua.

Perseverance, little steps every day, faith in the sprouting of seeds that have been planted – speak a word of encouragement over the weary, a word in due season to those who are doing a labor of God’s love in a dry and often harsh environment.

Blessing upon the families of Israeli ministries, the support staffs, the congregations – that their needs be met with abundance to share.

Speak a word of the Lord’s covering over all the believers from persecutions – no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Pray that in each and every one suffering persecution that it makes them resemble Yeshua more and more – radiant, astounding Messiah-likeness.

Pray for the legal trials that involve the believers in Israel – in Beer Sheva and in Ariel. Pray also for the healing trials of Ami who continues to undergo surgeries to repair his body.

Speak blessing on the children – especially Esti for God’s healing touch on a facial disfigurement from birth and for Jonathan: Leukemia to be put out completely from his body. Thank God for He has completely healed Shmuel from brain cancer in answer to prayers.

Ask the Lord to keep the whole house of Messiah in Israel in sound doctrine and spiritually healthy relationships with each other. He is building this house and He is able to keep it.

Thank God for those who are stepping forward to acknowledge that there is an alive, well and thriving community of Messianic Jews of Israel – for not compromising relationship with them while enjoying the relationships of unsaved Israel.

Bless the word of the Lord going out from Jerusalem to the nations – for Israeli ministries fervent to fulfill the mandate in their generation.

Thank God for giving words of knowledge and wisdom in ministering to the people – that the fatherless and the motherless may receive the spirit of adoption, knowing the parenting of Abba.

Pray for anointing and blessing upon all the home groups, every form of outreach being engaged in by the believers in Israel and in the territories and even in the places where terrorists believe they rule.

Provision for the visions the LORD has placed in the hearts of His servants in Israel, Jew and Arab one in Messiah. Speak release to flow.

As the ministries continue to expand their tent pegs pray for the Lord’s favor to be granted to them among men – in the government, in the neighborhoods and among the Church.

Let us join our voices with theirs in crying out to the Lord for revival in Israel. As the Spirit spoke to one leader, "These spirits are too strong for you. Even if you and all the Messianic Jews work together to the best of your ability, you will fail. The only way you will succeed is for the entire international Church to be praying with the Messianic Jews in Israel."

Across Israel – for those who have heard the reports – there is shock and disbelief that a terror attack on a 15-year old Jewish boy in Ariel in March 2008 may have been a case of Jewish terrorism. It is a hard concept for Jews to accept – a horrific act of Jew-on-Jew terrorism.

Having been the victims of such acts throughout the annals of history, to believe that Jews could become exactly like their persecuting enemies is almost unthinkable to most Jews. The unthinkable is not softened by the cold insistence from some that the targeted family is “not really Jewish” because of their faith in Yeshua (Jesus).

Yaakov Teitel, an ultra-Orthodox settler, appeared for the first time in open court December 10th to stand trial for multiple murder and attempted murder charges including the Purim 2008 attack on a Messianic Jewish family which seriously wounded David and Leah Ortiz’ youngest child, Amiel.

The case places several sensitive and controversial issues in public view from the troubling rise of a new Jewish extremism within the settlements to the appalling state of civil and religious freedom protection for Messianic Jews in Israel. It is a case that Israeli authorities might be anxious to see quietly brought to a swift end with the conviction of a deranged “lone wolf” with no greater implications unpacked.

But that is not the truth of this case, as we have learned from 21 months of following the case via weekly input from the Ortiz family.

This article seeks to shed light on why the police theory that Teitel acted without accomplices cannot be correct. It contains details recorded in the real time of the unfolding of events from March 20, 2008 to the present. If the whole story is not told, the trial could actually circumvent justice bringing only one perpetrator to accountability. That would leave his compatriots free to continue their misguided religious mission to exact ‘God’s vengeance’ on those whom they consider detestable enemies.
