Each year from Rosh HaShanah to the end of Sukkot , the High Holy Days are a whirlwind of activities for the Jews especially in Israel because the holiday generates a lot of tourism. For the Messianic Jews of Israel, this is also true because so many Christians also want to be in Israel during the Fall Feasts. Believers are not only attending and putting on special events, but also playing host to visitors from the nations. This prayer summary is reflective of the busyness of the season in that we have few prayer requests to share. There is however plenty to pray about as the breaking news re: Israel never stops.
Pray for all of the congregations of Israel to receive refreshing from the LORD after such a season of busyness. Pray over all the seed that was planted during the High Holy Days in the hearts of Jews regarding the Messiahship of Yeshua.
Pray for Asher Intrater’s new book Who Ate Lunch with Abraham which is not only a breakthrough way to show religious Jews the pre-incarnate appearances of Yeshua in the Hebrew scriptures , but is also a breakthrough way to help Christians see that Israel was not God’s failed Plan A – but their salvation is truly key to the fulfillment of His Master plan.
Pray for the latter rains to continue – both those that are beginning to fall in the natural and for the watering of the good seed of the gospel testimony and witness in Israel. Pray that during this season of replenishing rains that many believers will also be replenished and brought to new levels of maturity to lead.
Pray for a rain of righteousness and revelation to be upon the people of the LORD Yeshua in Israel and in the territories both Messianic Jew and Arab Christian. We pray that as the spiritual rain continues to fall on these that it will wash away the conceptions that are not from the Throne of God so that what is left is that which is clean and pure in His sight.
Isaiah 52:8 declares that when the LORD shall bring again Zion, that the watchmen shall lift up with one voice and together shall sing with one voice – “for they shall see eye to eye”. Verse 7 declares what it is we will sing together: “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good news, that proclaims (shama=hear, listen,obey & proclaim) peace; that brings good news of goodness, that proclaim salvation; that says to Zion, Your God reigns!
Thank God for His amazing promise that we shall
reach the point that we see eye to eye with each other and with Him. That we will reach the point where narratives
fall away and what remains standing in our midst is His Truth. As 1 John 3:2 puts it, Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed
what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
Two
Israeli Ministries share their thoughts this week on how the nation of Israel
responded to the live coverage of the return of Gilad Shalit from
captivity. Asher Intrater in Welcome
Home, Gilad wrote: “In the 20 years I have lived in Israel, I
have never seen the hearts of the people so touched, so softened, so unified.
Gilad is certainly not the Savior. Yet
there was something in his appearance and demeanor reminiscent of the image of
the suffering servant of the Messiah Himself.”

Ferguson’s of Yeshua’s Israel wrote of their experience of watching Gilad’s
release being doubled blessed because they were able to watch with visiting Lebanese Arab Christian
friends who love Messiah and Israel.

Shani Ferguson writes about the impact her recently released new worship album on people in her everyday life as a mom. Over the summer her CD circulated among parents and staff at her children’s school, one parent telling her that she did not know how to explain what she experienced from it: “It wasn’t so much what you were saying that gave me chills, it was something coming out of who you are.”
Pray
for the witness of who the Israeli believers are – like actions that speak so
much louder than words – to continue to draw Israelis to those who carry Yeshua
in their hearts and letting Him define who they are in word and deed.
David Ortiz in Ariel shared an experience in his life recently as he sought to be pleasing to the LORD when confronted with dealing with a man who let David know his reproach for his faith. Afterward David experienced the presence of the LORD and rejoicing of God’s approval for bearing the reproach kindly. Pray for the believers in the Land who are continually confronted with opportunities to be like Yeshua in the midst of enemies. This is the strongest witness, able to melt the hardest heart.
Praise God that Ami Ortiz passed his college entrance exams and is now making applications to attend school in the U.S. as he stays with family friends in New York. It is a great miracle of God that from the brink of death’s door that Purim season of 2008, God has restored this young man from the bomb blast and given him a bright future – even as a star basketball player!
What a super testimony of the truth that God spoke to dad David in the hospital the first night: God spoke to me directly and He showed me the death angel come into my home. Then He said to the death angel, ‘angel you can’t pass this line. You can’t take him.’ …In an instant I received light. I knew God was on the throne. I knew He wanted to glorify Himself.”

Military Police investigators arrested an Israeli soldier on Monday,
following suspicions that he had leaked Israel Defense Forces operations in the
West Bank to Jewish settlers.
Israelprayer: Many Christian Zionists who become involved in Israel politics do not understand that in backing some of the more radical of the religious settlers, they are in fact backing those who are a growing destabilizing force in the Jewish state. The significance of the book mentioned, “The King’s Torah” is that it is used as a biblical justification for killing Arabs and was used to justify the Purim bombing of the Messianic Ortiz family in 2008.
