Yeshua said in John 4:35-36, Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!

36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

We pray for the release of seed to the sower to sow the wages of those who reap and gather the fruit.

The trial which seeks to hold religious extremism against the Messianic believers in Israel to the rule of law that exists in Israel, has been extended. The new final date of testimony will be on November 23, with the verdict to follow on December 23.

The Court seems to be favoring the religious authorities in rulings made so far which would effectively insulate the instigators from being held accountable. If there is no accountability – if the Judge does not allow evidence of the instigation of the riot in 2005 against the Yeshua’s Inheritance congregation – this will encourage further incidents against believers.

Five months will lapse before the final testimony is heard by the Court. Pray God will “redeem the time” on behalf of the believers. Pastor Howard Bass writes, “November 23 is the day we have to prove that the two defendants are joined together and responsible for that event. What seems so obvious is not so simple to prove in a court of law.” Pray for Judge Iddo Ruzin.

Pray for Jerusalem Post journalist Larry Derfner who is the lone media observer of this trial. Pray for his discernment of the truth and ability to communicate it to the public. Editors often slash the most important facts news reporters write. Pray this will not be the case for Derfner’s coverage.

Pray for God grant fervor to intercede for this important trial which will have ramifications for the entire Body of the Lord in Israel. Incidents of persecution are going unpunished and will only escalate without instigators and perpetrators being held accountable to Israeli law.

When the bomb was placed in a Purim basket in March 2008, and placed at the doorstep of a Messianic family residence, the willingness of religious opposition even to murder believers in Israel was the line that was crossed. WE MUST OPPOSE THAT IN THE SPIRIT!

This court case is our line drawn in the sand – we must not let the believers of Israel stand alone in it. Tell others & see

Other important prayer points:
Pray for the believers in Iran, and for the tide to turn in Iran – for the force against the continued leadership of Ahmadinejad and Ayatollah Kahamenei toward a militaristic dictatorship to be an un-resistible and overwhelming force that brings down this dangerous duo.

In the past week, there was a speck removed from the eye of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that had caused redness and irritation of his eye. May this be as a prophetic sign of the removal of specks that would cause the PM not to see clearly in his judgment and leadership of Israel, as well as the beginning of the removal of scales from the eyes of the people he leads to Israel’s true salvation, Yeshua.

Pray for all the Israeli Ministries as they travel outside Israel over the summer months – for strengthened bonds with believers in the nations, anointed ministry and awakening of more to the need to stand strongly with our Israeli spiritual family.

Thank God for the heart to minister to the down and out of society, those who are as modern day lepers in the disastrous impact of sin on their lives. God continue to anoint those humble servants reaching out to these men and women, and cause men to give into their bosom for the work of the ministry.

Pray for wisdom and helpers, and resources to cover the expansion of many ministries in new media. To reach this generation, social networking medias are becoming a must. When in Rome, do as the Romans; when among the young, we must text and tweet.

Thank God for the second generation of Israeli leaders who are beginning to take their places in ministry outreaches – from Bridal shops where the poor can borrow a wedding dress, to young ministry families in various parts of the country reaching out in their communities – we call this generation, “The blessed of the Lord, and highly favored among men!”

Pray for the remaining physical healing of Amiel Ortiz, who God covered with His hand to cushion the blow of the terrorist bomb placed by religious opposition to the gospel. Thank God for how Ami was spared death and how God is causing healing to spring forth in his young body.

Pray for blessings – material and spiritual – to be shared by the Church with the ministries of Israel. For the Church not to sow into fields where there will be no spiritual harvest, but to sow into the indigenous ministries who are bringing forth spiritual fruit for the kingdom and the glory of the Lord Jesus.

As this man who stood on the Sea Wall facing toward the ancient seaside city of Acco, we also lift up holy hands towards the Land of Israel, speaking blessing and shalom on our brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Meet the needs that have been shared here, Father, and needs that remain in hearts unspoken. Keep them, protect them, and cause their brothers in the nations to see them beloved of You and precious in Your sight.

> 2nd Day of the Court Case Sun Jun 21 Protecting the Rights of Believers in Israel from religious riots taking over their worship services which property damage, physical violence against believers. Pray for God to arise on behalf of the believers & their attorneys, for confusion of lying tongues and discernment for the judge PLUS a strong desire to judge the case righteously.

> God is moving under the radar–no matter how bad the news reports sound, God is doing a hidden work. Intercede for Iran which could go one of two ways: the way of the Berlin Wall or the Way of Tiananmen Square. Join with the voice of believers in Iran. (In 2006 Pastor Reza Safa wrote “The Coming Fall of Islam in Iran: Thousands of Muslims Find Christ in the Midst of Persecution” – we may be seeing that fall now. Pray into it)

> Thank God for the outcome of the Lebanese elections. Terror group Hezballah did not gain power. Pray for the Holy Spirit to move through Lebanon.

> Pray for Netanyahu to have the Spirit of wisdom rest upon his decisions.

> Pray for the Commander of the Armies of Heaven to continue to protect believers throughout the Middle East who are targeted with persecution for their faith. Thank God for mighty miracles and deliverance on their behalf – past and future.

> What the thief has stolen be restored sevenfold! No weapon formed against the servants of God shall prosper.

> Even the largest, most high profile ministries of Israel have only been able to spread out their tents over 30 years time because of faithful small donations. Consider the needs is smaller, much less exposed Israeli congregations and ministries. Awaken Your Church, O God.

> The hearts of the Fathers of the Israeli Body are toward the children: pray the Lord would release all the resources needed for the education and nurturing to the next generations of believers.

> Properties of congregations and ministry homes are an ongoing need among many of the shepherds in Israel. Financial lack and continual uprooting is extremely disruptive. Resources: Come forth in the name of Yeshua. Be released into those with visions to run with.

> Praise God for His Spirit moving in Arab villages and for Arab ministers burning with zeal for the gospel. The Lord surround them with angelic guard and anoint them with oil as they boldly go to their people. Pray blessing on the upcoming “Back to Jerusalem 2009” evangelism conference.

> Thank God for apostolic passion to see the borders of the kingdom of God extended – in Israel and throughout the nations. Pray for release of provision for those training the young for a passion to reach out with the Gospel.

> Pray for MAX a member of a Haifa congregation who was seriously injured in an auto accident. He has lived, but is still in critical condition with head and internal injuries and spinal fractures. Full recovery and covering for his young family.

> Thank God for the nations who come to pray with believers in Israel over the “high places” in Israel and to pull down ancient strongholds – like at the birthplace of Jewish mysticism, Kabbalah. Prisoners of Kabbalah, be released!

> Thank God for every large ministry and every small ministry laboring in a dry land. Father we join our voices to their calling for the Spirit of Life to revive the dry bones from border to border.

> For the ministries who are, with the help of the Holy Spirit, putting broken lives back together again with the healing balm of the life of Yeshua, Father we ask blessing on each and everyone. Out of their bellies shall flow rivers of living waters – refreshing for all in their paths. (And he who waters, shall also be watered.)

> Knit together the brothers in the Land – Jew and Arab – with bonds of family love and peace. Meet the needs of these special people, Lord, bringing up what has fallen short.

> Pray for the anointing upon the legal teams seeking to halt legislation giving persecutors legal tools to revoke the citizenship of believers. Overthrow and turn back all gains in laws designed to eradicate believer-citizens from Israel.

I know what it takes to prosper in an Israel-focused ministry:
don't stand with the Body of the Lord within Israel.

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the temporary pleasures of offense (to God), considering the reproach of Messiah greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen. Hebrews 11:24-27

Update: Israeli Court Case for Protection of Believers' Religious Freedoms

We have a detailed report from believers in Israel on how the first day of the trial over the Israeli believers' religious freedoms went on Wednesday. I cannot publish the full report here because I haven't gotten clearance to publish it on the web yet - which makes it available to those who watch sites frequented by known supporters of the believers in Israel.

Here is what I can tell you though: THE JUDGE ADMITTED THAT "A VERY SERIOUS INCIDENT" OCCURRED AND THAT IT IS INDISPUTABLE.

What we must do at the next session on Sunday, June 21, is prove that Rabbi Deri and Yad L'Achim are linked to this 'very serious incident' and are responsible and liable for the riot and offenses and damages.

In fact, the Chief Rabbi of Beer Sheva and anti-Jews-who-believe-in-Jesus activist group, Yad L'Achim were both responsible for stirring up a large, angry mob based on lies.

Disrupting the service in progress, this is the take over inside the congregation. Many of the congregants fled.

The ENTIRE community of Messianic Jewish leaders - and many Christian Arab pastors, as well, have put their blessing on this court case brought by the Beersheva Yeshua's Inheritance congregation and their pastor Howard Bass.

THEY REALIZE - especially after the murder attempt on Ami Ortiz that has gone by with no arrests even though police have surveillance footage of the clearly religious man placing the bomb-in-a-gift-basket at the Ortiz doorstep - THAT THIS CASE AFFECTS ALL BELIEVERS IN ISRAEL. Will Israel's courts protect them from those who would come against them as if they are not even human beings?

Please pray for this trial.
The continuation of which is on June 21 (Sunday is a work day in Israel).

Howard Bass writes: We want to make the name of Yeshua honorable and faith in Him acceptable as Jews. I personally believe that by upholding a righteous standard the Holy Spirit can 'more effectively' bring conviction of sin, which Yeshua described as "not believing in Him". We want to be credible as witnesses and shown to be responsible and accountable for our actions and words.

We pray that this case will be used by the Lord towards more Jewish/Israeli people being freed from the strongholds over their minds against the gospel, and to believe it! Lawlessness will increase, whether we win or 'lose' this case, and we desire God's mercy to save more before the wrath to come.

Additional Prayer Points for June 21

--for God to continue to confuse lying tongues
--that Deri and the Yad L'Achim rep, [probably] Alex Artrovski, will not give compatible testimonies
--that their lawyers will not be able to undo damage done in cross-examination by our (believing) lawyers, Marvin and Kevork, of Deri and Artrovski
--discernment for Judge Iddo Ruzin as to who is speaking truth
--boldness to render a decision in accordance with God's righteousness

Another shot of the mob of several hundred that marched on, gathered outside the entrance to the Yeshua's Inheritance, and went in disrupting and damaging property - even throwing the pastor into the baptismal pool.

You can read about the incident on the Jerusalem Post, in an article written by Howard Bass just days after the mob took over the Shabbat service.

Abused for our beliefs in Beersheba
By HOWARD BASS Dec 28, 2005 22:17

Howard Bass has from the beginning stressed: This case is not against Israel or against the Jewish people. It is not to be used in any way to foment or promote anti-Israel or anti-Jewish actions or reactions. It is already known through the Scriptures that Israel at present is opposed to the good news of God, so we are not out to make them an enemy. Nor is our legal action intended to be used by any other minority or religious groups in Israel to encourage or affirm anti-Israel/Jewish sentiment. For the sake of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, Israel and her people are beloved by God the Father for His honor and glory, and for the honor and glory of His Son.
