Many are facing great challenges and it seems we are in the season of great pressure, as that which comes on the cusp of a mighty breakthrough. We shall reap if we faint not. Do not faint but trust God will see us through it all. We are a marked people: marked by the Holy Spirit for His glory.
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 Cr 4:1-2

The police gag order (news blackout) on the investigation into the murder of Christian Kristine Luken and attempted murder of Messianic Kay Will while hiking outside Beit Shemesh continues. Pray for an awakening among Israeli officials that this cannot be swept under a rug and expected to stay there.
Pray for Kay Wilson as she continues to suffer physical and emotional pain from the stabbing and the death of her friend. Pray for the Comforter to wrap her, and Kristine’s family in a safe place to mourn and be restored.
The tentative hearing to determine whether Jack Teitel is “mentally fit” to stand trial for the attempted murder of Messianic teenager, Ami Ortiz, was again postponed due to the prosecutor’s strike. A new date for the hearing has not been set yet. A new set of lawyers was appointed to handle his case – they are the third set of attorneys defending Teitel. (Pardon our cynicism, but wonder if this isn’t a ploy too).
The next trial date for Eddie Beckford is January 4th – one of several court cases the ultra-Orthodox have leveled against the Beckfords. Pray for God’s favor and also for the Beckford’s who are still under siege by daily ultra-Orthodox protests outside their home.
Israeli ministries are continuing to ask for prayers for the fire-damaged northern region of Israel – both the lives and the land suffered great devastation. One ministry noted the selfless bravery of the fire and police who did not hesitate to go into the inferno. Some lost their lives. Pray for mercy for those families.
Pray for families of the Israeli ministry leaders and believers all over the country. Each have dear family members who do not yet know the Messiah by His Name, Yeshua – salvation, God with us. Some parents are reaching the end days of their lives on earth . Pray they would be translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son.
Pray for Israeli ministries who are taking the gospel to the four corners of the earth. Pray for strength, health and anointing to be with them as they carry the testimony of Yeshua in every place. Grace and fruit multiplied everywhere their feet shall tread.
Thank God for the born again Arab churches in the Land and for the bonds of brotherhood in Messiah they have with their Israeli Messianic Jewish spiritual family. Whenever these former enemies, now spiritual family come together in the Land, there is danger but also a great testimony to the Prince of Peace.
As one Messianic who makes an annual visit into the Palestinian territories to observe Christmas with Arab believers wrote, “It is also an expression of a shared belief that the birth of the Messiah the Lord is significant in a world increasingly being led to ‘dethrone’ Him, just as it also seeks to de-legitimize the Jews and Israel, the nation through whom salvation has come.”
Pray for unity in the congregations that have experienced some division over the past year – always hard on the hearts of the leaders and the sheep. Multiplication is God’s way, division is the devil’s. Pray for God’s way to prevail in all the congregations of Israel – for thriving, healthy replication and unity to rule.
Pray for the softening of hearts to the genuine message of the Torah lived perfectly in the flesh of Yeshua, and by inheritance in our flesh by His abiding Spirit and Presence. So let their lights shine that hope arises in even the most closed off and hardened of hearts.
Thank God for providing new ways for the believers of Arad to meet together for the Word, prayer and fellowship together. Pray for a breakthrough for the congregations in a meeting place to bless all the community of the faith and the people of their city.
The ulta-Orthodox and religious activists are still very active in harassment of the believers – stationed outside the homes of many. Prayer is asked for Menahem, Sion and Avraham who are dedicated in harassing the believers. Pray for a Damascus Road encounter with the living Messiah.
Assured that as he looked over a vast crowd in Nigeria not knowing any one of them, or the heartaches they bore, one Israeli minister was answered by the Spirit of LORD that He DID know each one – specifically and intimately. Pray for the Messiah’s Mandate to bring Israeli teams to minister in Nigeria.
According to a Dec. 26, 2010 poverty update some 5,500 kids have resorted to stealing food over the past year, 2,500 were forced to beg and 5,000 collected food that was thrown away. The elderly population living under the poverty line does not fare much better than the needy children.
Pray for those doing humanitarian aid and all the outreaches of the Israeli ministries to have resources for meeting the needs of their communities. If you don’t know, ministries EVERYwhere are experiencing a downturn. We are like Acts 11 when Agabus spoke of a worldwide famine and the believers “determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea”
Pray for the storefront coffeehouses and other outreaches in Israel. For the seeds planted in those places to bear lasting fruit. Also those who are doing the deep mending work in broken lives. The LORD provides the balm, but He needs the good Samaritans to minister it to the wounded.
Several ministries have set their hearts to play a role in replanting the forest that was burned up in the Carmel fire. Inside the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli ministries are several stating their visions. You can find out how little it would take to be a part yourself.

Born is the King of Israel
By Asher Intrater
There are several theories as to the date of Yeshua's birth, but there is no solid proof for any of them. In addition, there are many cultural aspects of the celebration of Christmas which are ungodly. Despite those problematic issues, the birth of Messiah into this earth is a watershed moment of human history and biblical revelation.

Last weekend a terrible attack took place in Jerusalem against a Christian woman and a Messianic Jewish woman hiking in the Judean Hills south of Jerusalem. Reports are confusing and inconsistent, but regardless we have one woman murdered and another recovering in the hospital in severe pain – physically and emotionally.
No matter who turns out to have committed the act, it is representative of the irrational, demonic hatred of the one new man in Messiah. Pray for Kay Wilson who survived the attack but is in severe pain, and pray also for the family of Kristine Luken, especially for her twin sister as the family grieves their deep loss. Pray for Kay who listened as Kristine lay dying nearby her. The healing of the LORD.
Pray also for the CMJ, The Church’s Ministry among Jewish people, in Israel and the U.K. They are now vulnerable to persecution by anti-missionaries. They have also lost a sister and are attending to the needs of the survivor who works among them in Israel. Pray for the financial support for Kay’s recovery process to come in.
Kay will undergo surgery tomorrow to repair a lacerated diaphragm. She is in intense pain and pain killers are not giving her adequate relief. Pray for the healing touch of the Lord.
As the Lord would have it, we are finally publishing the Nov prayer requests of a Christian Arab pastor in which he speaks of the blessing of 25 salvations that were the fruit of a recently saved Arab brother who went on to be with the Lord unexpectedly only months after salvation. Pastor Hani reminds us that even in the death of the saints, God is good.
In a last inspirational quote Kristine Luken sent to a friend in the U.K., Kristine wrote, “Remember to search out the goodness of God in the face of tragedy.” Yeshua said He would never leave us without a Comforter.
Pray for the families that have come to the faith among those who have learned the bittersweet truth of Yeshua’s words, “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”
Pray for the indigenous Christian Arab pastors and congregations whose support is also necessary from international help. Many churches are cutting back in missions support. Pray for these vital resources to be replaced by new supporters and resources.
Will Abba heal our loved ones who do not know Yeshua? I hope we all know He is willing. Pray for the daughter of a ministry couple in the western Samaria Hills. She has a pancreatic cyst that doctors suspect is malignant. Pray also for her salvation, and other members of her immediate family.
There is so much need in Israel and so much vision within the Messianic Jewish and Arab Christian ministries to meet the needs! All vision need provision to be realized. Practically speaking, the provision to meet the need must come by the international Body coming alongside to help. This is good soil for planting toward a harvest.
Pray for the two Jerusalem ministry couples embarking on a evangelistic mission in India. 10% of the population of southern India is Christian – the Light is breaking into the darkness. Pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon these as the minister nonstop for the next 2 weeks.
The word of the Lord is going out from Zion as one Jerusalem ministry sent out 4 to India, 1 to London and 1 to Switzerland last week. The gospel – like arrows from Zion – are going out from "all Judea, Samaria and even to the ends of the earth. The fulfillment of Acts 1:8 is manifesting again today.
Another Jerusalem ministry is preparing to take another young Israeli evangelism team to Nigeria for meetings. This will be second Nigerian mission trip in the Isaiah 2 Initiative. Pray for the leaders, the team to be formed and all the expenses met.
Another will embark on a two-month comprehensive tour in New Zealand. Pray for all these Israeli ministries as the preach the word of the Lord and share the great things God is doing in Israel and among the nations.
One Israeli ministry reports that although the Lutheran Church normally separates itself from Messianic Jews in order not to get in conflict with the Central Council of Jews in Germany, recently the chairman of the LC said, “The covenant with the Jews is still valid, so we don't have to explain God to the Jews. However, we have to witness Jesus to the Jews - even as the Messiah of Israel. For the Jews the way to God doesn't circumvent Jesus. It may circumvent the church, but not Jesus.” A potential opening is seen in the statement: “If the gentile church acknowledges Messianic Jews as brothers and sisters in the Lord, it can be not only a big blessing to Israel and the Jews, but also to the church itself.”
Pray for those who have been reordering their times and priorities to be more available to the Lord’s perfect will for them in this season. As we approach the new year, many of us will reflect on what the Lord has ahead for us in the year 2011. Pray for clear vision and open hearts to whatever the Lord would speak to us in this season.
Pray for the Netanya congregation seeking to ordain a new elder to replace a founding elder. Pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal the Lord’s choice in His timing.
Pray that the anti-missionaries new campaign to appeal to Israeli mayors to “use cleanliness laws against Messianics” not to find traction with Israeli mayors. Pray for the overt persecution of the believers of Israel to fall under the glare of public exposure – in all its ugliness.
Whether you agree or not, in a few days Christians all over the world will remember the birth of Yeshua, the Messiah King born in a humble stable in Bethlehem, Israel. God, who looks into our hearts and sees the unvarnished truth of our motives, will surely bless everyone whose intentions are to honor the birth of His Son – whether it is on the right date or not. I will be among them. O Come, let us adore Him.

The Beckford’s return to court tomorrow on 12/16 – but they go without a lawyer unable to find anyone to take the case against the leader of the Haredim in Arad. Please pray for them. They are also having trouble with electronic communications, unable to email.
Have you noticed that the ‘Christmas Presence’ stirs up devils? Five years ago, 12/24/05 the religious invaded the Beer Sheva Congregation. The Arad congregations are also in the ‘cross’ hairs of the religious anti-Messiah zealots. Pray for the protection of all the believing community, who may celebrate Hanukah, but get lashed out at on Christmas.
From the Arabic Baptist church in Akko a believer was stabbed in the chest and the chin when devils were stirred up in a stranger. Akko believers ask for prayers of the saints as they stand in places with violent historical oppressions. Pray for the faithful to be encouraged and strengthened in the power of His might.
Good news & bad news from the Ortiz family: the State Prosecutor did not inform them of a hearing date change for Jack Teitel who nearly murdered their son around Purim 2008. Excluding the victims? A cover up in progress? Their book From Tragedy to Triumph was the centerpiece for a recent Korean trip. The Koreans continue to lavishly embrace the Jewish and Arab believers from Israel. So heartening!
When the apostle Paul wrote about “the poor” in his letters, 4 out of 6 times he was specifically referring to the poor BELIEVERS living in Israel. Today that same situation he was concerned about still exists only now it also includes Christian Arabs alongside their Messianic Jewish spiritual brothers.
Pray for the revelation Paul had, and laid down his freedom as a model for faithful giving to the believers in the Land, to begin to break open anew in this season. As Paul wrote in 2 Cor 8:10-24, it is “expedient” that your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want. Get it? That is a spiritual exchange the Church has been missing!
Pray for new doors to open for both the Christian Arab and Messianic Jewish ministers of Israel among the nations – that strong bonds will be formed and support raised up for God’s marvelous work He is doing in the Land. It may be under the radar of the news organizations, but God is revealing His Son.
A Jerusalem congregation with many young couples is rejoicing in the blessing of God as many couples are uniting in marriage, and others beginning their families. There is a generation rising among the believers in Israel who are destined for the purposes of God in this season. Pray for them and for their spiritual and natural parents.
The Word of the Lord is going out from Zion – as Israeli ministers are going into all the nations – what a testimony after two millennium of Jewish rejection of the Messiah. Pray for these ministries preaching the gospel in regions of darkness like India, shaking the nations like in Nigeria with Messiah’s Mandate: Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
One ministry wrote this week about overcoming that moment of hesitation and boldly asking an Arab couple through translators if they would like to receive Messiah Yeshua in their hearts. The couple responded yes but the man passed away not long after. His wife’s testimony that he was in heaven worshipping God soon after won her whole family – 25 people – to the kingdom of Light. This is our God.
A prayer gathering in a city in the north for both Jewish and Arab believers is building with Hebrew, Arabic, English and Russian speaking participants. The translations are many but the presence of God is so strong among the participants they are finding spiritual strength and renewal of purpose together.
In Jerusalem on the evening of December 25th one of the pioneers of Israeli Messianic songs will be performing Handel’s oratorio, Messiah, which has recently been translated into Hebrew. It is a blessing to see Israeli Messianic ministries participating in this celebration of a Christmas favorite.
Whether reaching the Gentiles in the nations or the Jews from the nations in Israel, the prayer of the shepherds and evangelists is the same, for grace to go forward with the great work the Lord has entrusted to them. Not every day is spent on the mountain, not every face in the crowd registers understanding, but with grace the message goes forth from these servants of the Lord.
So much of the gospel is shared in Israel on a one-to-one basis. The testimony is not something that is just shared in congregations, but in everyday lives. Pray for the light of His glory to shine from them.
There are Lebanese believers who fled their homes and families in exile in Israel. Some of them have started their own congregation in the north. Pray for encouragement for them, also for new meeting places for congregations from Nahariya to Arad.
One ministry writes that Israeli believers “are asking God to show us as a community how best to minister to the traumatized Israeli who lost their homes and loved ones” in the Carmel fire. Pray with them that God will use this tragedy to bring NEW LIFE – the good news of salvation to Israelis and for open hearts and Divine appointments.
A ministry in the north is seeking their pension from their native country. Pray for a favorable resolution as the decision will be passed in January. This is important support income for individuals doing the work of the ministry without ministry salary, denominational support or a well known ministry head. Pray for all those support ministries in the congregations to see an uptick in support contributions and other sources.
An Israeli ministry has been welcomed into German schools to share their testimony and the gospel. What they report would make any American Christian jealous. Thank God for every open door and every open heart; and for the spirit of reconciliation that brings Israeli Jews to minister to German children.
Pray for the IDF soldiers serving from Messianic families.
In the northern ministries there has already been a financial strain – Hezballah terrorist attacks on the borders have contributed to economic stagnation – now there is the Carmel fire adding to the need. The ministries doing soup kitchens, shelters, outreach to holocaust survivors were already stretched thin. Now there is much more need and much more desire among the ministries to meet the needs. Can you help?
Arni Klein writes about the spiritual questions and messages we might glean from the Carmel fire in an article titled, The Fire of God. This is not just a message for the Body in Israel, but for the Body everywhere to be prepared for another kind of fire from God.

Last week we sent out a request that reflected a pinpointing of the spiritual need behind the desperate natural need for rain in Israel. This was according to several Israeli Messianic leaders and before the outbreak of fire in Carmel.
As David Davis of the Mt Carmel congregation pointed out, according to Jeremiah 14 rain is a blessing and drought is a curse. Further down in the chapter, Davis drew our attention to:
O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, Do it for Your name’s sake; For our backslidings are many, We have sinned against You.
O the Hope of Israel, his Savior in time of trouble, Why should You be like a stranger in the land, And like a traveler who turns aside to tarry for a night? Why should You be like a man astonished, Like a mighty one who cannot save?
Yet You, O LORD, are in our midst, And we are called by Your name; Do not leave us!
(Jer. 14:7-9 NKJV)
Arni Klien of Emmaus Way had written before the fire outbreak, “To just ask God to send rain without dealing with the reason it’s been withheld is like asking that He would simply overlook our sin and rebellion.”
Howard Bass in Beer Sheva also wrote before the fire, “All of us want needed rain, not only for ourselves, but also for plants and animals, and for seedtime and harvest. Yet there come times when God withholds His mercies and blessings in order to work repentance in His own people first of all. Please pray for God to grant the Body of Messiah repentance for our sins, which can be readily discerned in the Beatitudes, and in the Lord's own letters to the seven churches in Rev. 2 & 3. Please pray for Israel and for Jewish people everywhere to return to the God who chose them to be His treasured people.
Of course, days later a fire ignited that destroyed over 12,000 acres of the Hai Bar Nature reserve, Carmel Park, homes, businesses and the lives of 42 first responders. It is the worst natural disaster to hit Israel and thankfully it was put out within four days with the aid of over 25 nations. There were offers of assistance even from some very surprising countries. Perhaps it is because water is such a priority concern among all Middle Eastern nations and because the same drought that afflicts Israel also threatens all of Israel’s neighbors.
Whatever else we may draw from all these things, it seems as if the LORD were underscoring the desperate need throughout the Middle East for the latter rain, naturally and spiritually. Surely this is our priority prayer focus for not only this week but the continuing, pressing and urgent priority focus.
“Ask the LORD for rain in the time of the latter rain. The LORD will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone…. And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in His name, says the LORD.” Zechariah 10:1, 12
As I have continued to add excerpts from the prayer letters about the fire, many, many of the statements strike me as strongly prophetic. So at the 11 page mark, I have decided to go back through and emphasize all those statements that have struck me as prophetic. Watch for the royal purple typefaces. We don’t want to over-spiritualize this event, but seeing all the prayer letters together as a whole, it is difficult not to see a strong prophetic thread running through these letters.

With few exceptions, this week we are limiting the coverage to Carmel fire-related information and requests. We will return to some of the other items that were sent in the prayer letters next week in order to focus on all the issues that surfaced in the midst of this fire disaster.
The raging inferno that destroyed 12 acres+ of the lush Carmel region of northern Israel took place in an area of significant biblical prophetic events. Elijah called the nation of Israel to repentance there at the end of a 3-year drought calling down fire from Heaven on a water-drenched altar to disprove the false prophets of Baal.
In fact, Carmel means “God’s Vineyard” and a drought in the area symbolic of God’s own vineyard, Israel, is indication of God’s disfavor. With a united voice the Israeli ministries have been crying out for the spiritual latter rain on their nation. Conferences set in the last few months have even been themed in the cry for Elijah’s cloud the size of a man’s hand that broke the curse of drought. Let us join their cry for repentance in the Land that results in an outpouring of the latter rain.
Though the fire that raged through the Carmel region was devastating to life and property, there were good things that came out of it, and the Israeli believers have been attuned to those things. One of those things is the opportunity for the Body of Messiah in Israel to be a blessing and minister to their countrymen.
Another is the clear message that God is able to make even your enemies to rise to your help – to be at peace with you – when He moves them to come to your aid. Israel received help from 25 nations, including some like Turkey that diplomatic relations have been rapidly deteriorating.
At the end of WW2 God softened the hearts of nations to recognize the Statehood of Israel. Once again, He softened hearts to come to the aid in saving Israel.
The spiritual message to take away is that for the salvation of Israel spiritually, the international Body must come to the aid of the Israeli Body in Yeshua. “Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord”
Although the inferno broke out in the village of Isifiya where the Carmel Messianic congregation is located, there was no loss of believer’s lives and the winds changed direction when the fast moving fire approached the congregation. In the midst of the inferno, Yeshua’s promise of Rev 3:10 to protect His own held true.
There was a sorrowful loss of life of Israel’s first responders – 37 young police guard cadets en route to rescue inmates – many terrorists – from a prison; the police chief of Haifa; a 16-year old who responded to help put out the fire. Terrible, heartbreaking and real losses that have left many shaken to the core in grief. Pray for the Comforter to walk among them and for the consolers who carry Him in their hearts to be given opportunities many times over to help.
Through the tears that are shed by only those that share a common family or national bond, the believers of Israel are standing for their nation with a fervent concern that cannot be trumped up. They are family interceding for family – but the Christians from nations can aid them just as we witness the nations drawing near to help Israel battle this fire.
In any disaster a toll is taken not only by the disaster itself, but also by those are part of the rescue mission and the governmental machinery. Where there are losses, where there are failures, there is also the opportunity for the Lord to enter in with peace. Pray for the believers to be given inspired ideas to minister to those left with guilt or despair….including the young boy who through negligence started the fire.
A scheduled meeting of Jewish and Arab pastors doing reconciliation work took place on Mt Carmel as planned in the midst of the fire. They united for intercession crying out for natural and spiritual rain on the dry land. Then they left and Arab churches provided breakfast and dinner meals for 600 police and firefighters. The prayers of the saints had both wings and feet!
Among the dead from the bus load of cadets caught in the fire, four were from the city of Beer Sheva. The congregation there took up a benevolence offering for the families. In a city where this congregation is persecuted, there is compassion and love for the residents. This too is a witness of the power of Messiah in the heart of men.
Please join us in lifting a mighty cry before the Lord that in mercy and compassion, he would open the heavens. We desperately need the remaining three months of the rainy season to be as abnormally wet as the first part of the winter has been abnormally dry.
In the days ahead there will be innumerable ways to bless Israel in the wake of the Carmel fire through the Body in Israel. Many are already sharing the plans God has placed in their hearts to meet the needs, begin to rebuild and reforest the area. You will find some of those avenues to get involved by opening the attached Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries. We will continue to bring those opportunities to your attention as we are made aware of them.
Here is a YouTube photo-montage set to Israeli music and featuring the photographs of the bus load of young prison guard cadets who lost their lives as fire overtook their bus at the beginning of the fire. It gives a touching sense of the tragedy. Pray that this tragedy would cause men and women to look to God for help.
Last, but not least, Asher Intrater shares in an article titled Crises in the Book of Revelation springboarding off of several urgent situations Revive Israel has reported in the past few weeks – the Carmel fire; the danger of nuclear weapons in the hands of irrational regimes like North Korea and Iran; warnings by military, archaeological and engineering experts that the walls of the Temple Mount mosques and foundations of the courtyards is in danger of collapse; and the largest cell phone network in Israeli inexplicably shutting down for 24 hours.
There are many great and dangerous fires that may break out in the days ahead of us, but we have been given exceeding great and precious promises from the LORD.

If you are harboring secrets, you might think about coming clean. It occurs to me that this massive WikiLeaks disclosure of things that were spoken in secret being shouted from the rooftops may be a warning of things to come. 1 Cor 15:46 gives the spiritual principle: "The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual." The warning is Come clean; do not wait to be exposed.
The one, and perhaps only, bright spot in the WikiLeaks disclosure of U.S. classified material, is that Israel is vindicated over and over by the disclosures. It will ultimately not change the tide international hypocrisy in dealings with Israel, but very clearly the hypocrisy is exposed and Israel vindicated.
Any who have stood in a place where they looked guilty to others – say like Joseph in prison – may be looking at a season of vindication. Also, those who have been secretly guilty may find themselves suddenly exposed. Time to get right. There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed.

The online-focused Israeli OneForIsrael.org ministry has launched a prayer initiative asking for believers worldwide to sign up for one 15-minute segment each week until they reach a 24/7 wall of prayer going up for Israel. Easy to sign up and chose your time frame here
Pray for Richard Frieden’s ministry as he is in the cross-hairs of several anti-missionary activist groups and websites. Ministries with natural appeal to the youthful generation are especially vulnerable to attack because of the Israeli law against evangelizing anyone under the age of 18.
There is not enough religious freedom in Israel – that’s what 80% of the secular Israelis say, while 91% of the ultra-Orthodox think the government is too pluralistic. Guess what, those who exercise faith in Yeshua as Messiah are more in agreement with the seculars than the religious on this issue! Why? Too many of the haredi (ultra-Orthodox) want to impose their beliefs on the rest of Israel.
Thank God the house arrest on Eddie Beckford has been relaxed a bit and they are able to go outside Arad any time and for as long as he wants. Inside Arad he must be accompanied by a court-approved bondsperson and cannot visit the King’s Men chess club/Bible shop – 2 yrs 9 mos since he last visited the shop. Dec 8th is their next trial date and several cases have been folded together. Please pray.
While Israeli rabbis are out en force to pray for rain, the cry we heard this week from the Israeli ministry leaders was for prayers to be made for repentance – knowing the blessing of rain will follow. Let us pray for the latter rain – spiritual and natural – to come from Heaven.
Pray for IDF soldiers, new inductees and especially for those of the faith. Pray for those new believers who are disowned by natural families because of their faith, as well as those who have been estranged for a long time – that they be given grace to enter God’s rest and grow continually in Yeshua.
Pray again for the prodigals who have known the Lord and walked away from the faith. Pray for the hearts of the parents to enter God’s rest and for the Holy Spirit to exercise His claim on the hearts of these children, drawing, convicting, pressing into the corner until each returns to his senses.
Pray for those involved in Messianic or Christian media in relating to the worldwide Body what is happening in the Body in Israel, to be scrupulous and honorable in how and what they communicate. Pray for those who have not been those things to repent of misrepresentations and shady slanting of facts. This is an evil in the secular world of journalism – it should not be named among us.
Two things are happening in the Arab and Persian nations – (1) Christians are being persecuted horribly, and (2) God is revealing Yeshua to men, women and entire families. Thank God that He is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh! “That man” is the Prince of Peace.
While we rejoice in the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit, we agree with the brother this week who wrote to take heed not to be deceived with the manifestation of gifts, signs, and wonders, while the character of the Lamb is absent. It is the likeness of Yeshua we cannot do without. Pray we would all seek His face, not just His hand.
As trouble in the nations continues to increase, so does the openness to Messianic ministry increase. Pray for the Israeli brothers & sisters who are going forth in the nations not just to ‘preach Israel’ but to strengthen the awareness and bonds of one new man in Messiah. Grace, favor & revelation.
Hanukkah is the Festival of Lights celebrated by Yeshua in John 10:22. Christmas is the holiday that is the traditional Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus. Do you think God is mad when either of these holidays is observed? Since He sees the motives of the heart it is highly unlikely. Some of us need to get a life and drop our aggressive chewing on each other over these things. Pray we do and Yeshua is honored in both holidays among believers.
The reason for the season is Yeshua and He is blessed when we bless those who do not have much blessing in their lives. There are many good believer ministries in Israel that would welcome your gifts for outreach to the needy in their congregations and in their community. Some needs are mentioned in the attached Weekly Summary or you can write me for other suggestions at donna@israelprayer.com

On this week of Thanksgiving in the USA, I am noticing how many times the phrase “O give thanks to the Lord” appears in the Word of God.
I am so thankful to God that He saw fit to lead me to launch a ministry in August of 2001 strictly devoted to the prayer concerns of the indigenous ministries in Israel. I’m so grateful that it has put me in a unique position to get to know an incredible assembly and variety of Yeshua’s Israeli servants – those I have met personally and those I may not know face to face, but know by their spirit nonetheless.
I am truly thankful to have God’s favor in both hearing from and speaking for this wonderful group of men and women in the service of His harvest in Israel. It is Proverbs 10:22 describes, “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”

Give thanks for all the ‘hidden ones’ who are ministering and serving in the Lord’s harvest fields of the biblical Israeli land. Often in hard circumstances of their own, they have set their hearts on the things above, serving the Lord’s purposes for their generation in the Land.
Pray for grace and for the love of God to be manifest in each of these lives, that they emit the sweet aroma of the Lord to all whose paths they cross. Pray for favor in their jobs, with officials and in every place their feet shall tread. Protection from the enemies of the gospel, in the name of the LORD.
Pray for fearlessness in the face of enemies: “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto Your servants, that with all boldness they may speak Your word, By stretching forth Your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of Your holy son Yeshua.” Acts 4:29-30
Thank God He is building His Body in the Land of Israel and even though there is resistance to acceptance, He will surely join us all into One Body – “For the body is not one member, but many…. now God has set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased Him.” 1 Cor 12: 14, 18
Thank God for the vast spiritual treasures of the Word of the LORD that the servants of Yeshua have to share with the worldwide Body of Messiah/Christ - And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:3
Israeli ministries continue to ask for prayers for rain – the natural resource so precious and scarce in the region is also called for in the spiritual manifestation too. Send your rain, O God, upon the dry ground of Israel – drops of rain from Heaven for the parched soil of the earth and the hearts!
The vision of so many Israeli ministries is of necessity one of “rescue” – the reality of the ministries is both within and without congregations, families are struggling economically. Thank God for the resources the Church sends for these ministries to be a blessing.
Pray also for those ministries who are operating as Yeshua’s SWAT teams rescuing struggling families, single moms, the homeless, the addicted, the immigrants who have not been able to secure a good start in their new homeland. These are labor intensive, labor of love ministries making a difference in so many lives. Grace & provision be released in the name of the LORD!
Parenting from a biblical perspective is a challenge for the congregations of Israel. Pray for those who labor among the children, also with instructive teaching of parents by word and deed. As the sapling is bent, the tree will grow. Pray for the nurturing hands that are shaping this generation of believing children.
One of the major reasons why peace negotiations are so difficult between Israel and the Palestinians is because of the hatred that is drummed into children from the cradle to the grave. This is gross darkness and the believers who are raising their children in the love and admonition of the LORD stand as the answer and the contrast to such evil.
Among the enemies of the gospel – the Jewish anti-missionaries/anti-Messianic – children are also trained from an early age to hate. Pray for these tender young souls for Yeshua to appear to them in His love and set them free from the bondage of hate.
Pray for justice in the courts regarding the cases of Messianics and Christian citizens in Israel – it is not a sterling record of acting in judgment. Pray for the December cases which the Ortiz family and the Beckford family will be again before judges. Justice to break through in both cases.
Thank God for the technology to get out the documentation and communication about persecutions going on in Israel. Pray that more and more eyes awaken to the truth and take a stand for what is right and just for “the holy land” to bear witness to.
Many Israeli and Jewish religious sources will deny the truth of the 2010 State Dept Religious Freedom Report. Others will claim it is within the right of the Jewish State to demand the Messiah not be preached. Christians should not let either of those opinions sway you into compromise. For all Israel to be saved, all Israel must hear the gospel of Messiah Yeshua. It is that simple.
Thank God for those Israeli believers who are walking the fine line of standing for justice in their religious freedoms, and maintaining love for their countrymen . Pray for grace and for the believers of the nations to uphold their arms.
Pray for the mercies of the Lord to cover all those Israeli ministries who are traveling in the nations – for those with health issues that the LORD would touch and heal to the uttermost; for new connections to be made and old associations to be renewed.
Thank the Lord for each and every one of Yeshua’s servants in Israel who are carrying His name to family, friends and neighbors. Pray the Lord would meet every need and guide every step in their path.
Pray for the cry of the hearts of those who are estranged from some family members, who know the pain of children or other family members who have walked away from Messiah – that God would return thee prodigals to their senses, that they might return to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Moshe Morrison is the Associate Congregational Leader at Tents of Mercy alongside Eitan Shishkoff in Kiryat Yam. We caught Moshe last Shabbat preaching at Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue on The Despised Servant and were reminded once again how these humble servants of the Lord are ministering to their countrymen, truly representing the “Despised One.” Moshe reveals that the only way Israel can fulfill its destiny is if the Servant of God becomes the focus of the nation. May we pray and believe for that day to come.

Last week the news carried a report of two Israeli pilots who lost their lives in an crash during a simulated aerial battle. One of the airmen was Messianic believer Emmanuel Levi. Pray for Levi’s family who are mourning the loss of the 30 year old, that they may be comforted that the sting of death is removed as Emmanuel crossed into the kingdom of Light by faith in Messiah Yeshua.
Pray for the Korean filmmakers shedding light on the tsarah – the tribulation – of the Jewish and Arab indigenous believers of Israel. The stories of their different adversities and adversaries is opening the Korean church to a new level of understanding and appreciation for the Body in Israel that we pray will spread north, south, east and west.
David and Leah Ortiz, have provided a description (see below prayer summary)of what viewers are seeing in the trailer of the Forgiven, which is about the Palestianian believers in Israel.
Restoration is the film documenting the Jewish believers in Israel.
Restoration pt 1
Restoration pt 2
Maoz Israel has also produced a film about the terror bombing of Ami Ortiz by religious zealot Jack Teitel who is due in court next month for a hearing to determine if he is mentally fit for trial. He is, but will he stand trial? Watch this video an pray
Pray for a very dear lady who ministers her heart out in Nahariya and beyond, to any and all, Jew or Arab – one of the original pioneer believer ministries in Israel. It is an unspoken prayer request of one who cites Psalm 109:22, “I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.”
Pray for a very dear lady in Arad who has stood for the Name of the LORD against several years of continual pressures from anti-missionaries. Pray for healing that is needed for the body to refresh from extensive travel and for grace in court ‘trials’ as they continue under house arrest w/persecution.
Pray for the congregations who have no place to meet that God will provide places that will be a blessing to their people and their communities. Pray for those who are battling with the Interior Ministry which is still seeking to oust believers from the country.
Continue to pray for all the believers in the north of Israel as the border with Lebanon continues to be of concern with because of the Hizballah-Syria-Iran triad. Pray also for the protection of all the Christian Arab believers in Gaza and the West Bank, as Hamas continues the power struggle with the Palestinian Authority. “The climate of violence is growing all over the Middle East, and Israel is not excluded.”
This month an article from the Hebrew press quoted the Beer Sheva Rabbi Deri (whom the court decided was NOT responsible for the violent mob takeover of the Messianic congregation) admitting he orders anti-missionary teams to disrupt any activities of Messianic believers in Beer Sheva. The article is full of lies (like claims of non-violent pressure) but worth reading. It is smoking gun evidence the court ignored and resulting in exactly what we thought: emboldened, openly targeting by anti-missionaries. Watch this report
Messianic Jews are sharing their faith in Israel’s Messiah with Jews all over the world…and Jews are coming to faith. Many in the Church are not expecting this to happen until after Jesus returns for them but the fact of the matter is the salvation of “all Israel” has already begun and it amounts to way more than a drop in the bucket! Speak according to Ezekiel 37:9-14 “And I AM shall put My spirit in you, and you shall live”
A new blog from Ron Cantor relates an inspirational story from our faith history that challenges us today to be prepared to step out of our comfort zone and give our all to the kingdom of the Lord. Pray we all enter into greater depths of giving ourselves to His bidding.
Messianic Jews preaching the good news have been given unique opportunities to minister in areas of great historic significance with mistreatment of Jews. These nations have a destiny to lead the way of reconciliation and healing. Pray for these nations and the Jewish believers who are making important BODY connections in places like Germany and Spain.
Rain is still a critical issue on the prayer list as the rainy season of Israel has begun. Pray for natural and spiritual outpouring to replenish and revive.
Most leaders who work for a ministry in western nations are used to drawing a paycheck from the ministry. This is not the reality for most Israeli ministries who must raise their support by a variety of means including laboring in additional jobs. Pray for the Lord to meet all these needs – that these leaders may focus on the ministry and the word. Blessing of employment for congregants!
Pray for the leadership teams in all of the Israeli ministries at this time. For grace, refreshing and renewed visions. For healing, for restoration and reconciliation – for the unspoken cries within hearts to be answered and manifested: "Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him" (1 Samuel 1:17).
Pray for Shani & Kobi of Yeshua Israel as they put the final touches on a new worship project and that God would anoint the CD to penetrate hearts.

Scene description of the Korean movie about the trials of Palestinian believers in Israel. Thanks to David & Leah Ortiz
________________________________________
A second movie is now ready to be released in Korea on Nov. 17th, made by the same film company who produced "Restoration" . The new movie is called "Forgiveness" and centers on Muslims who have become believers in the Messiah, their resulting change of attitude toward the Jewish people and Israel, and the persecution they endure for becoming followers of Yeshua. Again, David was instrumental in helping the film crew to organize interviews and scenes in the movie, and appears in several scenes of the new movie as well. They have put a new trailer on You Tube, and it is powerful! Here is the link
SCENE DESCRIPTIONS and just to describe what you will be seeing, because even though some of the interviews are in English, subtitles are in Korean for the narration and those speaking Arabic and Hebrew.
The trailer opens with the scene of a Palestinian protest against a security fence being set up, and the ensuing confrontation against Israeli soldiers. This is the Korean's on location footage, not taken from the news. You will notice that there are many non-Palestinians involved who come to Israel to support Palestinian causes and to disregard and to try to overrule Israeli authority.
After an interview in English, the next scene is an interview with a Palestinian (wearing a Kafia). He is declaring that the Jews have no place in the land, and that they should leave.
The next scene shows foreign journalists right in the middle of the action. The shooting and explosions you hear are from rubber bullets and tear gas being fired.
Next you will see part of an interview taken of Taysir Abu Saada, wearing a red and white striped shirt, who in his past was a sniper for the PLO and Yasser Arafat. He had a miraculous conversion to Yeshua the Messiah and wrote a book called "Once an Arafat Man" which we highly recommend. (If any are interested, you can order it on Amazon.com) It is being distributed all around the world in many languages. You can see an extended interview with Tass on line using this link
The next scene of the trailer shows an interview with Justus Weiner, from the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, which is a prestigious think tank in Jerusalem, and the base for many studies that are published by scholars such as Justus, defending Israel, her policies and in Justus case among many other studies that he's published, the plight of ex-Muslim and Arab Christians living under Palestinian Authority rule. Justus documented very well the arrest and torture of many ex-Muslims by the PA, whose only crime was leaving Islam for faith in Yeshua. Achmed, whom he is talking about, was a part of our group of ex-Muslim believers in Samaria. He was murdered for his faith in his village by a terror organization.
In the next scene you will see David on Mt. Gerizim (Gen. 11:29 and 27:14; Joshua 8;33 John 4;20-24 ) in Samaria which overlooks the city of Shechem, one of the first cities Abraham came to when he came into the land. The scene shows a meeting of the underground church of ex-Muslims. When the leader of the group saw the cameras and the film crew, he was frightened, but David told him that these were friends and they could be trusted. You see David telling him to gather the other believers back because they had run away when they saw the cameras.
The next scene is a re-enactment of the murder of Rami Ayyad in Gaza. His wife is narrating and relating how her husband was killed for evangelizing Muslims. David met Rami several times before his death. The next scene shows his funeral. You can see and read excellent reports on Rami's murder on the links below: (Hebrews 11:36-38) here and here
In the next scene is another underground meeting of ex-Muslim believers somewhere in the West Bank. Their faces have to be blurred for their safety.
The scene of the olive grove with rocks in a circle is one of the underground churches where David meets with the ex-Muslim believers in our area.
The team that comes to Israel every year with the Waller family to serve Israel's farmers are shown next in the trailer.
In the next scene the man holding the camera is the film's director, Bradley Kim. When the protest became violent, and tear gas had to be used you see the film crew covering their faces with cloths.
The next interview features Naim Khoury who is the Pastor of a Church in Bethlehem. He was shot three times by Muslim extremists for being evangelistic. We know the man personally, and have witnessed a huge transformation in his spiritual life over the years.
The next interview is of a brother from the Bethlehem area. He is from an Arab Christian family. During the first intifada, (1987-1993) it was and still is today, the practice of radical Muslims to go in between the Christian houses in Christian neighborhoods, and to attack Israeli soldiers from among the Christian homes. Then the ones that had carried out the attacks (rocks, firebombs, etc) would run away from the house leaving the soldiers to think that the Christians were the ones who carried out the attacks. That was unfortunately the case with this brother, a truly born-again believer, and he was mistakenly identified as a terrorist by the army and was beaten. He gives his testimony, and talks about the fact that he forgave the soldiers.
The next interview is with Alex Awad, a Pastor in Bethlehem that had to overcome much bitterness.
An interview follows with a Palestinian sister, who is a good friend of ours. She has a tremendous, testimony of forgiveness for the Jewish people and is the mother of the one who was mistakenly identified as a terrorist. When the family tried to come to their son's rescue, they were beaten as well, but they had a supernatural revelation of forgiveness. The sister had an encounter with an angel who ministered the message of forgiveness to her.
The foot washing scene is between Jews and Arabs, believers in Yeshua, coming together to wash each others feet and to stand together as One New Man.
As you will be able to see, the last scene is very unique. Usually the walls in Arab villages are covered with graffiti expressing political messages of hate. The Koreans uniquely used the same wall for the title of the movie - Forgiveness.
Once again, we thank the Producer Joanne Lee, the director Bradley Kim and their crew, for putting themselves into the midst of the fire to tell the real story of faith in the Holy Land.

To the outside world whose only exposure to Israel is what they see on the nightly news, it looks like a scarily violent environment – a place you wouldn’t want to visit. In pockets and times there are isolated flare-ups but even when flare-ups are happening, throughout Israel life is mostly normal and pleasant. (Except with the tension of knowing at any moment, peace could be shattered.)
The same is true of religious persecution against believers. The rising tide of anti-Messiah persecution is coming from a small pocket of aggressors and mostly targeting certain areas. Most Israelis are normal and pleasant even to their believing neighbors – though law enforcement and the courts aren’t great holding religious persecutors to accountability. We don’t want to ever give the impression that all Israel is aggressively hostile to the faith. It is important to know most Israelis are not mean to believers.
The minority of anti-Messiah activists is still a growing problem in Israel. They are pushing the envelope and again have disregarded life in the Molotov cocktail arson of an Arab Christian church that sits on the edge of ultra-Orthodox neighborhood Mea Shearim.
Pray for the unity of the whole Body in Israel and out with those who are victims of religious terrorism. Whether it comes from Hamas or Yad L’Achim, our duty is to stand with our brothers and openly support and advocate for justice.
Please pray for truth to prevail and for the perpetrators to be caught. The lack of justice in cases of religious persecution will result in an increase of persecution and violent acts against followers of Yeshua in the Land.
Please pray for the truth of the arson to be officially acknowledged, as this will affect things such as insurance coverage. Pray also for the unity of the Body as a 'voice' of love for each other and a witness to all the onlookers.
A certain anti-missionary website has become a sort of clearinghouse for targeting different believer ministries in Israel. If they write about an Israeli Messianic, it is like saying “Sic ‘em!” to the attack dogs.
Pray for those unfairly accused. Ministries with natural appeal to young people are especially vulnerable to accusation because of Israeli laws forbidding sharing with those under the age of 18.
A Messianic attorney for the Jerusalem Institute of Justice is also under a anti-Messiah attack by Yad L’Achim trying to raise hysteria that he is becoming too accepted in political circles. Meanwhile the JIJ has been involved in funding a school lunch program and also in shutting down a human trafficking ring operating in Israel. Terrible, huh?
In the lead of several anti-missionary organizations are people who once proclaimed faith in Yeshua. Pray for Pnina and Benjamin who have fallen from faith and become particularly virulent against the believers.
Pray for the believers who serve in the IDF and also for those who work in reconciliation of the difficult differences that exist between the Jewish and Arab believers in Yeshua in Israel. For example, the widespread conviction among Arab believers that military service is sinful. Tough areas to reconcile even between parties who desire reconciliation strongly. Pray for them.
The organizers of the Israel-wide Harvest Youth Camp during Chanukah (Dec 5-7) are asking for prayers as the counselors, messages and logistics are already underway. Always, the finances are an issue for prayer so all may attend, as well as heart preparation for a deep work of the Spirit.
There are ministries developing strategies and ministry for the believers in Israel to be able to improve in the marketplace – business initiatives, occupational counsel, getting out of debt, excelling in products and service. “when Israeli believers are too dominated by financial pressure they become defeated and are much less able to make disciples” Pray for God’s blessing on all these practical ministry measures.
A nation of immigrants, Israel can be a tough place to earn a living. For many, it is a major step down from not only their earning ability but also their occupation. Many of the ministries have congregations full of these immigrants from Russia, Ethiopia and diverse places. HaTikvah, the Hope, is the national anthem, but in the congregations of the Messiah, hope is experiencing that someone cares even of their poverty.
Each of the ministries understand that practical help is a desperate need of many in their communities, so humanitarian outreach covers everything from providing food, clothing and shelter for the needy and centers where substance abusers can find deliverance and get grounded on the Rock. Many give to traditional rabbis who also feed, clothe and shelter, but do not introduce those being blessed to the Giver of Life. Pray for a reconsideration of priorities in the church on this matter.
Is the UN worth anything? I haven’t seen anything good come out of it for years, only evil and hypocrisy. This is the case in the UN body charged with preserving historical sites deciding to declare Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem and the Patriarchs Cave in Hebron as Palestinian mosques (Muslim). One Israeli ministry noted, UNESCO did this the same week that religious Jews read the Torah portion where Abraham insists on paying full price for the Machpelah cave – 400 shekels (Genesis 23).
Radical Islam, which has been the real reason that Israel has not been able to negotiate peace with her Arab neighbors, has spread like a virulent infection across the globe. It seems every nation is battling to some degree the Islamist agenda to overtake and become the dominant rule.
Every nation is partaking in the hell that Israel has battled against since 1948 while the nations held Israel partially, if not fully, responsible. The spreading of jihad and Islamist evil will either awaken hearts in the nations to our hypocrisy toward Israel, or it will deepen the hypocrisy. Pray for the truth to set many free in regards to God’s will for Israel in these days.

Islam is now putting down deep roots in the United States even as it continues to make strong headway in Europe. According to Time Magazine there are already 2.5 million Muslims in the U.S., a hundred thousand more than live in Great Britain. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) claims that the real number of Muslims in the U.S. is seven million. Whatever the number, if the trend continues, Islam will very soon be a dominating force in all things American.

Despite our fragmented current appearance, we are one Body being built together as Yeshua prayed that we might be one as He and the Father are One. Hear O Israel, Hear O Church.
"Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh...were without Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Messiah Yeshua, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one...having abolished in His flesh the enmity...so as to create in Himself one new man from the two....Ephesians 2
"Now, therefore, you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Messiah Yeshua himself being the chief corner stone;
"In whom all the building fitly framed together grows into a holy temple in the Lord: In whom you also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."

Pray for all the believers in Israel – both Arab Christian and Messianic Jewish – who are increasingly targeted for violence by anti-missionary radicals. Pray for those radicals as well.
In his young manhood, the apostle Paul was a hatred-breathing persecutor of the first believer community in Israel. He had a dramatic turnaround when the Spirit of the Messiah appeared to him on the road to Damascus – pursuing the followers of Yeshua to drag them back to what he believed was their just reward for blasphemy against God.
Paul was spiritually blind, until God revealed the Son to him. This is also what we must pray for those pursuing our spiritual family in Israel. It does no one any good for us to be blind to the hatred of the persecutors. They are the ones who blind – not us! We pray acknowledging their sins against the brethren, not excusing their sins but asking for God to knock them off their high horse as He also did the apostle Paul. It is the true intercession of the Church for Israel in this day.

Ask for breakthrough in the greater Body of Christ worldwide in seeing what is happening to our spiritual family members in Israel. A century old Jerusalem church was firebombed that sits on the edge of an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood. Tourists sleeping inside the hostel portion escaped but it is a clear increase in violence ….that has barely been reported inside or outside of Israel.
In 2008 the U.S. Embassy in Tev Aviv sent a classified report to the State Department detailing the increase of Yad L’Achim and related groups increasing violence against believes. This is a true report you can access it here. Pray for the truth of this report not to be suppressed or disbelieved among the Israel-supporting church.
Whoever falls under the targeting of anti-Messiah persecution in Israel, the Body in Israel stands together, knowing they are as One in the tribulations and in the joy of their labors in the harvest. Pray for grace and unshakable bonds. What the enemy has meant for evil to be turned to good.
Israel fears openly discussing the increase in ultra-Orthodox violence against the believers, that it will turn the Christian supporters of Israel against her. She is willing to sacrifice the Body of Messiah for the good of Israel (sound familiar? John 18:14) In fact, the Israeli ministries have walked in agreement with this for many years – suffering silently.
Can the Church hold Israel accountable for how they treat the indigenous believers without tilting into the Christian anti-Semitism of the past? Those who are following Yeshua truly can. Can we pray into this?
The Israel supporting Church fears looking honestly at Israel – the good, the bad, the ugly – but if we really love Israel, we can’t help but look at them except through Yeshua’s eyes, who sees clearly into the heart of man and still lays down His life that they might find abundant life through Him. Pray spiritual courage in the hearts of the Church and divided hearts be united.
One Israeli pastor this week speaks of Quiet Desperation or Passionate Involvement. Surrounded by those living in quiet desperation we do have the choice of passionate involvement that pierces the darkness. Do we choose this, or the illusion of comfort?
Another brother spoke this week of our lack of value for emotional integrity, honesty, and transparency in our relationships in the Body. He asked how honest are we about our feelings towards our brethren? How honest are we about our thoughts about how they feel about us? Challenging us to reconcile, dig deeper.
Another wedding between dedicated young Israelis who labor in Yeshua’s Israeli harvest. Mazal Tov to Mr & Mrs A.
“Who Ate Lunch with Abraham” is a new book in English written by Asher Intrater on the multitude of appearances of Yeshua in the Hebrew Old Covenant scriptures. It is an important work that show the Old and New Covenant Scriptures are an inseparable whole in presenting Yeshua. Pray for this work that will be as helpful to Christians as it also is in witnessing to traditional religious Jews.
Cancer is under the feet of Yeshua/Jesus. Please speak the death of all cancer cells in the bodies of a new believer in Tel Aviv, as well as the Mayor of Ariel, Ron Nachman, who has always been so fair and supportive to the Ortiz family in good times and bad. Pray for healing – a powerful touch of God that leaves life-changing witness in the lives of these men and their families.
We are a global village of people who are united with the will of the LORD for His beloved Body of Messiah in Israel. What links us together is the thing that God has stirred in our hearts toward the precious believers in Israel – Jew or Arab – they are precious in His sight and in ours. It is a blessing to know God’s heart in this matter to share in their labors and to pray for their needs. Body life.
Pray for the Beckford’s who are under a stress as the Israeli court hearing their case is not making much of fairness in the proceedings. Let the prayers of the saints encircle them, keeping them in peace. Pray for the congregations of Arad who have been scattered into smaller home groups because of ultra-Orthodox pressures on the new mayor.

Vatican and Israel

Israelprayer: After honing their techniques of perpetual harassment on the believers in the Negev region (Beer Sheva and Arad), the Ultra-Othodox haredi along with Yad L’ Achim anti-missionary activists have apparently chosen their next target of harassment: Yad Hashmona, a unique community of Finnish Evangelical Christians and messianic Jews.

Praying the Headlines:
Vatican and Israel
By Dan Juster
“The most worrisome statements are from individual bishops showing real anti-Semitism, and claiming that Israel's election was canceled by Jesus. In this regard these bishops are in direct rebellion against official Vatican doctrine”
Ultra-Orthodox town's plan to expand leaves neighbors fearing more 'abuse'
Kiryat Ye'arim draws up expansion plan despite objections of green groups and residents of neighboring Yad Hashmona Messianic Moshav Community and Abu Ghosh.
Think the Interior Ministry committee is going to be like the glove in hand for Hand to Brothers agenda against Yad Hashona? They will rubber stamp this plan in a New York minute!

Whimsical Decision-Making
by SI and Daniel Juster
“…there are many decisions that affect our lives and our future. Such decisions are not made in an instant, but are made through a proper decision-making process, over time and reflection, and with much thought and consultation.”
It is time to take a stand for the indigenous believers in Israel.
