Priority Prayer Focus Sep 2, 2015We want to keep a priority prayer focus on the health issues of the many Israeli ministry leaders. We continue to receive good updates, but the intercessory battle is not over yet. Find the names, conditions and updates we are asking for people to pray over in the Urgent Healing Needs section below. Like Arni Klein, who has a word below about these health issues, we do not believe this is just the simple matter of aging, but holds spiritual implications.
Many who pray for Israel make a common mistake of thinking that the most important things to pray for Israel about are the things that anyone who follows the news about Israel can read about or hear in international news sources. But that's not where you read about what God is doing, or who He is using to do it through. In Israel, God is using the Body of Messiah - believers in Yeshua - as THE most significant group of people impacting Israel's future. So when the enemy comes out against these spiritual leaders, it won't be something that you hear about on your news channel, but it is the most significant spiritual warfare that is currently occurring in Israel.
If you want to
make a difference for the future of Israel, make your priority prayer for Israel upholding those believers who are
advancing His kingdom in Israel. The
impact of the Remnant of believers in EVERY nation is greater than anything
else going on in that nation - including Israel!

As mentioned above, Arni Klein shares a word he received on the spiritual implications of the health issues outbreak among the Israeli ministry leaders. It is a word of both warning and grace and I would encourage you to read it inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary. Just after the first leader had undergone an operation, "while in worship I heard in my spirit that this was a prophetic sign and that God was 'removing the gall bladder of the Body in the Land.' We understood this to mean that if we would continue to carry bitterness, resentment, offense or any other thing that causes division and brokenness in the Body, and did not deal with it right away as the Scripture mandates, we would experience the judgments and consequences written in the Word.
"Without going into a medical explanation to connect the physical with the spiritual," Arni continues, "we would nonetheless add that the literal Hebrew for gall bladder is “pocket of bitterness.” So if you remove the place that holds the bitterness, it goes straight into the body, enters the blood and affects the heart. . . . Given the seriousness of this warning, I was constrained to release it publicly through the local Messianic leaders’ network. I related it as an impression and asked that people would pray about it and seek the Lord for confirmation. . . . Please, do not summarily put this to the side or on a back burner. If you believe it to be a true prophetic word, pray for the Body in the Land to take it seriously and wait before the Lord, individually and corporately… that you/we would be truly a healthy Body, unified and ready to do His will." There are certain areas in Israel with high concentrations of ultra-Orthodox and Orthodox Jews living. This is not a condemnation of all religious Jews, but within these two communities come the strongest opposition to Jewish faith in Yeshua. This is the case in Arad where opposition to believers has been occurring regularly for the entire time I have produced weekly prayer summaries from Israel (14 years).
So we were encouraged when the Hebrew congregation in Arad, Hasdey Yeshua, passed along that they had a new mayor, elected by a huge majority (76%) who love his campaign promise to have one law for everyone in the city with no exceptions or willful ignoring of illegal activities, including those of the ultra-Orthodox.
As the saying goes, "the plot thickens". The new mayor began immediately to fulfill his promises to clean up the city policies, but one sect of the ultra-Orthodox, the Hassidei Gur, became furious launching personal lawsuits against the mayor and his cabinet. Then they began a letter writing campaign to high authorities in Israeli government - including Netanyahu. Finally a high ranking, Hassidei Gur official in Jerusalem summoned the Arad mayor for some power arm twisting. As the Arad believers put it, this is a David and Goliath battle and your prayers are requested for this mayor who wants to do right for all the citizens, including the Messianic Jewish believers. This is a specific problem for Arad believers, but this kind of opposition exists in many pockets throughout Israel. Even this week we saw news on social media that indicated the religious are stepping up their pressure for legislation that will give them increased legal means to harass the believers. With the power they have in the latest Netanyahu coalition, the nastiness was sure to increase and has. This needs as much prayer as any issue facing Israel.
From the Sorko-Ram's Maoz Ministries comes a request for prayer for Ari who is in China developing relationships with leaders and businessmen and teaching about Israel and God’s plan for her and the nations in these Last Days. Their Israel-China Destiny Conference is just one month away and specific prayer points are included inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary. The growing relationships between the Body in Israel and the Body in the Far East is profoundly important. Please pray for a special outpouring of love for one another during the conference, and for a true bond of brotherhood in the body of Messiah.
We are happy to have an update from Eddie Santoro who has passed wonderfully through surgery to remove a large malignant tumor from his brain in August. None of the complications that doctors warned them of happened - so praise the LORD! Yet Eddie writes, "The prognosis itself is challenging. We spoke with the oncologist this past week and he shared with us that the tumor was malignant and of a most aggressive nature and the treatment needed was also to be very aggressive, comprising five or six weeks of chemotherapy and radiation. Please pray that the side effects will be minimal and that God would use these treatments to destroy any remaining malignancy." Our own prayer for Eddie is that we know that God who began a good work in Eddie will bring it to completion.
Pray for the congregation, Ahavat
Yeshua, that Eddie pastors - for the young leaders who are stepping up to fill
their pastor's place as he goes through this challenging period. Pray
for all the young leaders in the congregations, who are committed to their
ministry callings, and also, with families, working in other full time
employment. This is a necessity for so
many ministers in Israel,

Dan's wife, Patty, has herself just gone through a serious back surgery, and also has been active in meeting with the young leaders of this congregation. With eyes focused on the Lord, all these are moving forward in faith to fulfill their calling to Israel in this hour.

ago I was intrigued by a Facebook post by Dan:
"I continued to be very concerned about theological foundations in
the Land among the Messianic Jews. Some are promoting a classic
dispensationalism. If you do not know what that means, don't worry about it.
Really the issue is a right understanding of the Unity of the Bible and the
calling of the Jewish people in the New Covenant. We do have to get this
right." In Right Theology Dan
elaborates.
Israel Pochtar of Beit Hallel
in Ashdod focuses his prayer letter on a family update as he writes, "... as I was
preparing to share with you our family update, I realized I am a father to a
grown man now." He is proud of his
son who has just finished his military service with the praise of his
commanders, and now is preparing for his future, which Israel is delighted to
see that his son has been called into the ministry. Pochtar writes, "To see my son in
ministry is such an amazing blessing, not just to me, but also to our
congregation, because is the first second-generation believer who will be
entering into full time ministry."
Israel and Victoria's daughter, Moriel, is still serving the IDF.
They ask for prayers for meeting all the challenges with sending their son to study abroad for a year, and also for "for young people in our congregation: we see how this ignites a passion in their hearts to also study, train and prepare for their calling, whatever it may be. As a pastor, I often feel this is our responsibility to help our young people to step into their calling, invest in them as much as we can, prepare the way for them to grow. Because they are tomorrow's leaders and they need to be prepared."

on the viral video their son Ariel and the Yeshua Project team along with her
husband Richard recently made interviewing Israelis on the street about Isaiah
53. The video reached over 1.25 million
people - including 400,000 Israelis!

Rachel Scapa operates a radio
station online in Israel where she shares praise and worship music, Bible
teachings mainly in Hebrew, but also in Portuguese reaching a wide variety of
listeners in the Middle East and also Brazil & Portugal. She has just been offered a slot to showcase
Brazilian music on a weekly Israeli radio station. She says Israelis love Brazilian music and
she will be introducing them to Latin rhythms that speak about God.

Leon Mazin, who leads the Return to Zion congregation in Haifa - also overseeing the Nazareth of the Galilee congregation - reports on the great success of a recent new ministry for young adults who have completed their IDF service called the Eagle Project. You may or may not know that it is an Israeli tradition for young people at the end of their compulsory military service to strike out in world travel to discover what they want to do next. The Eagle Project was created for Messianic congregations in Israel to provide a way for these young believers to get even more grounded in the faith while also experiencing a wider view of the world.
This first Eagle Project was conducted in Norway, putting the young Israelis together with young believers in Norway. Mazin reports the project was a great success and now they want to expand the vision to make the program available to every Messianic congregation in Israel to bless IDF-ex soldiers beginning in 2016. The Jerusalem Institute of
Justice also has outreach to the IDF soldiers, specifically the Lone Soldiers,
who lack family support in Israel. They
write, "The majority of these Lone Soldiers were rejected by their
ultra-orthodox families for deciding to serve in the Israeli army." JIJ steps in to offer these lone soldiers a
support base to not only be there for the soldiers emotionally, but also to
provide opportunities for fun times during leaves and holidays. With the High Holy Days coming up soon, JIJ
is making an appeal to help them monetarily to provide events for these
soldiers who are sacrificing even their own family relationships in order to

Lastly we hear from Shlomy and
Miriam Abramov from Awake Israel Ministries in Rishon Le Zion who have forged
through the intense heat of August sharing the gospel from Tel Aviv to
Tiberius. Their newly expanded Joseph

school.

Their eldest son was murdered in the West Bank while doing his duty as a border patrol. His body was hanged in the city for 3 days (it's a terror tactic to scare the public always.) Eli was his name and a center for helping youth and school was named after him in our city.

They are not all alike, but like the Church world, they come in many different 'flavors' with many different visions from the LORD. Each of them have their own gifts from the Lord, and ability to touch certain segments of the Israeli population which is quite diverse.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the
tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli
believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:
Eddie Santoro, beloved pastor of the Ahavat Yeshua congregation in Jerusalem, underwent brain surgery to remove a large tumor from his brain. Elana Cantor wife of Ron Cantor of Tiferet Yeshua in Tel Aviv was injured in an auto accident 2 weeks ago in the US. Now in Israel she is still suffering much pain from ruptured discs sending her back to hospital with pain & numbness. Please continue to pray for her Elana and Elana's mother who recently had a pacemaker put in has just returned to the hospital with some complication! The Cantor's ask for your prayers for her.
Michael E is not an Israeli ministry, but is a critical support
player in communications of the ministries. Last fall Michael suffered a
stroke, now doctors are trying to get to the cause of continuing health issues
- attempting to rule out Lou Gehrig's Disease but leaning toward an MS
diagnosis. Michael likes to fly under the radar, but is desperate for prayer
agreement. Please pray for him, and for other unnamed key support people in
Israeli ministry-related service suffering acute, serious health issues.
Jacob Damkani is now out of the hospital and in rehabilitation. He’s still in a lot of pain and needs continual prayer.
Rachel, wife of Brian Slater, has a hip replacement scheduled (after complications from shattering her hip 1 1/2 years ago). With three children and mercy ministries to run, the pressures on this family are severe. The surgery was supposed to take place 2 days ago but has again been postponed for a month. Please keep this family that does mercy ministry in prayers for God's mercies.
Judi, the wife of Yaakov K, a pastor in southern Israel, is battling cancer and already had radiation, surgery and chemo. She has a spot on her liver that's inoperable, but it's not conclusive yet whether it's cancer or not. Next round of tests will be conducted in October.

treasured elder statesman of Messianic Judaism and founding elder of Tents of
Mercy: Thank you for recruiting all that
healing prayer. Many very good testimonies as a result.
Regarding my condition, it took about two weeks before I was correctly
diagnosed by an orthopedic doctor. Through medication and two more weeks it has
almost completely cleared up. Praise God. Please
continue praying for my back. There are many problems that greatly limit my
mobility and flexibility. Thank you, Moshe
Ruth Nessim of the Nahariya Fellowship: Ruth is being treated for Lymphoma biologically. Still it will need months of hospital visits and treatments, and patience, so I would value your prayers. A new development for Ruth is that her whole body has broken out in a rash that looks like burns. Drs have not yet identified the cause.
Please pray for one of the forefathers of the Messianic movement who shall remain nameless, as his health continues to deteriorate. And for his wife and family, that his wife receives the help she needs to care for him as he is less able.

Please continue to pray for Shelly, wife of Eitan, a pastor in
Israel Pochtar's ministry. Shelly was on
death's door step in May, but has begun a miraculous steady healing process
since then. Shelly’s
brain tumor, once about 5 centimeters (about two inches), has now shrunk to
below 1 cm (less than half an inch!).
Praise the Lord! Please pray that
God continues this complete turnaround from the valley of the shadow of death
to full, complete healing.

Patty, the wife of Dr. Daniel Juster, just
underwent a serious back surgery on Monday (same type my husband had at the
beginning of this year!) Dan writes: I see progress in Patty, day by
day after her surgery. We had one bad day after an acid reflux bout two nights
ago. She bolted up which you are not supposed to do and had more pain the next
day. Today equaled her best day. She is walking with me four times a day.
