Ten Days to "consider your ways"before the Day of Atonement
As we learn about the biblical Feasts of the Lord, let's bear in mind that these are appointed times for the Jewish people. That's who God is speaking to in these prophetic pictures. It is good for us in the nations to know what God is saying to the Jews through these Feasts of the Lord, but our knowing is for the purpose of praying in agreement with God's purposes, and for supporting those proclaiming what He is saying to their own people so that Israel may hear and respond to what God. It is for their sake that we seek to learn the meanings of the High Holy Days Feasts of the Lord.

As all the ministries of Israel are in the
midst of the High Holy Days they are very much about their Father's business.
These are days filled with not only the traditional observances and gatherings
of family, friends and congregations but this is a time when there is increased
ministry to unbelievers drawn to the gatherings, to humanitarian outreach
especially to the needy, new immigrants and Holocaust survivors. On top of all
that, during the High Holy Day Feasts of the Lord, Israel is flooded with
tourists - both Jewish and Christian from the nations.
The number one prayer request during the holidays from all the ministries is that God would open the eyes of many Jews to see their Messiah, and give them softened hearts to receive Yeshua. Can we pray into this? Many will come to the Lord in this month of September - and some will come in the months to follow as seed that was planted in these holidays burst through the soil to bear fruit.
Pray also that among the Christian tourists in Israel that God will increasingly do a new thing so that Israel is not seen just as the land of the historical Jesus, but is seen as the field of the LORD that is white unto harvest. Pray for God to speak to Christian tourists a new desire to become connected to His laborers in this harvest field.

David Davis who leads the Carmel Assembly in
northern Israel asks for "the Spirit of revelation to be poured out during
the Days of Awe" as "hundreds of thousands of Israelis" have

The Carmel Assembly has given birth to many
strong outreaches, including new congregational plants, rehab ministries,
humanitarian distribution centers and more.

Israel Pochtar is also gearing up to minister to the great many new immigrants
from Ukraine in their area with humanitarian blessings of Holiday food
supllies, concerts, Jewish roots teaching (new to many of these Jewish

Here is an important word from the Sorko-Ram's
of Maoz Ministries: "This past year
has been full of conflict in Israel - it began on the heels of Operation

and it's ending with Iran emerging victorious on the international scene...

From the Kfar Saba congregation led by Tony
Sperandeo, Kehilat Hamaayan, come prayer requests for a "time of
repentance, praying for our families, friends, and neighbors. (Salvation,
Restoration, Healing of relationships)."
Also for their congregation, city, the Middle East and persecuted
nations, as well as "For us to be the light of the world, for the
salvation of our friends and family."
The monthly prayer letter from Yad Hashmona,
which is currently the only fully-Messianic village in Israel, is full of hope
for the future and real practical needs in the here and now as they continue to
build houses in the kibbutz specifically for Messianic families. I hope you will open the

36 news houses in building progress for Messianic families.

The delays and aggravation can become so great that it becomes an intense warfare take its toll on the spiritual leadership. Please pray.

We have a report from Jim Schutz, the
Executive Director of the Joseph Project in Jerusalem, as they continue to
increase their network of Messianic partners and Israel friends in supplying
humanitarian aid to be distributed throughout Israel. You can read Jim's full report inside

efforts: "Humanitarian aid is constantly coming and going to
our Messianic and Arab partners, who are faithfully giving to needy Israelis in
their communities."
The reason for my special interest is that much humanitarian aid flows in from Christian donations, but most of it bypasses the Messianic distribution points. It is an important factor for blessings to flow from the Messianic body in Israel as a witness.

Our friend who must remain anonymous, but is
known by the Houses of Beauty Worship Arts, writes this month about not knowing
where things are going but releasing her all to the wind of the Spirit who is
able to sustain us, no matter what comes.

praise G-d! The local Israelis thought
it was going to be just music but as the believers entered into worship with
me, the locals were clearly touched.

Asher Intrater of Revive Israel shares a video
teaching on the prophetic meaning of this season and also praying about the
current spiritual crisis with an Arab Christian disciple (whose face and
voice are disguised for security reasons.)
Let us pray for a righteous solution to the situation, an exposure of
radical Islam, victory in spiritual warfare, compassion for the refugees, and a
new wave of revival.
There is also an explanation of the Revive
Israel affiliation with Tikkun: "a
family of ministries and friends partnering together for the dual restoration
of Israel and the Church. The name Tikkun is taken from the Hebrew word for
restoration as described in Acts 3:21 – "until the restoration of all
things" and in the traditional Jewish concept of redemption, called Tikkun
HaOlam. Our joint vision is to restore
and complete the original apostolic commission, leading up to the return of
Yeshua and the establishment of the Messianic kingdom on earth."
Last but not least we have a good report from
Eddie Santoro of Ahavat Yeshua congregation in Jerusalem. Five weeks ago Eddie underwent a dangerous
surgery to remove a brain tumor and very soon he will begin the simultaneous chemo
and radiation therapy. We know God is
with Eddie for life, but we continue to ask your prayers over this brother has
he goes through the next hard phase of his treatment.
Eddie reports that the congregation is in the
good hands of those young people that Revive and Ahavat Yeshua have been
pouring into over the past many years. Pray for them as they have stepped up to fill
the shoes of their pastor and his wife, Jackie during this health crisis. It is
a great blessing for any minister to know that all they have built can continue
functioning smoothly even if they are unexpectedly sidelined. To know your 'kids' can keep the work of the
Lord going forward is a comfort.
Eddie concludes with this spiritual reflection

But the truth is that God is greater and His life and light will be poured out to overcome the darkness.

that all who call on His name will overcome and shine with His life. May this
certain hope encourage you and empower you as together we manifest the Glory of
Yeshua in this day."

A couple of days ago I stumbled across something I wrote March 3, 2012 when
I logged into one of my blogs to approve a comment that had been left on the
article after this one. It caught my
attention because I saw my title was close to a theme that Asher Intrater has
been speaking about increasingly this year, of the Church being rightly
connected to the Body in Israel. Anyway, I am sharing this here because I
believe the article has several valid observations.
