Priority Prayer Focus

"But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.”  Mark 13:7

Although we pray for our brothers and sisters in Yeshua in Israel, and for all Israelis with the very real threat of wars staring them in the face, yet we take this word of the LORD to heart as applying EVEN NOW:  “…do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.” 

There are still glorious things that will be accomplished in the earth through the Body of Messiah before the end, so pray that we all would  “Hazak Hazak V’nitkhazek! Be strong!  Be strong! And may we be strengthened!”

Pray for the Israeli pastoral leaders who are meeting at this writing at the Sitting at Yeshua’s Feet twice yearly meeting.  Both the older and younger, Jew and Arab national leaders set this time apart to pray and seek God together.  Howard Bass, who is always the point person as far as we know in keeping this gathering prayed over by the intercessors in the nations writes, “This gathering includes Jewish and Arab brothers, and others who serve Jesus together here in Israel.  Please pray for God's presence and grace to bind us together in Him, and strengthening us to fulfill the work He has given each of us to do for His purpose and glory.”

One of the leaders in northern Israel is asking prayers for the person who faithfully runs their soup kitchen – that months of unpaid salary to the man will be released so this man.  There are many faithful servants in Israeli ministries – some are the pastors and some are ministry staff who have been standing in their posts without enough funds for salaries to be paid.  Please pray that God will awaken those who are giving into the causes of unsaved in Israel while letting Yeshua’s Body go without wages while laboring in the harvest.

HaTikva Project of Promise Keepers Israel is a fairly new ministry that seeks to help with the needs in the Israeli Messianic Body.  There are so many but this is a great example of the Church doing what the apostle Paul envisioned for the Christians in fulfilling the duty of Romans 15:27 to minister to their material needs.  (This was for the household of faith FIRST, not last folks!)  Pray for the idea behind the HaTikva Project to multiply.  Pray for Evan who is the director of the project to make Divine connections as he shares for the next 6-weeks in the U.S.  Pray that many believers will get on-board with HaTikva and also that what they are doing will inspire MANY MORE to follow suit.

Israelis are not only talking about the nearness of war, they are also preparing for it rapidly and we are talking way beyond just the issuance of gas masks.  The Messianic congregations have been speaking of their efforts for months now to prepare with emergency supplies for their communities.  This week we hear of gearing up for emergency service going on a Rambam Hospital in Haifa as a new 3-story underground parking facility is being prepped to serve as a 2,000 bed ER hospital that can be transformed from parking garage to hospital in less than 48 hours.  Pray for Israel to prepare with wisdom and for their leaders to respond to the Voice of the LORD directing their moves.

David Davis of the Carmel Congregation also writes about what the Bible has to say about “Iran and Israel” inside the attached Weekly Summary.  “Thus says the Lord of hosts [angelic armies], ‘Behold I am going to break the bow of Elam, the chief part of their strength’ ” …. The Elamites [today’s Iran] were renowned archers and their main weapon was the bow.  Today, Iran’s chief weapons are their missile launchers and missiles which can reach all of Israel.  Davis also offers these prayer points:

    Pray the Lord breaks the military might of Iran in whatever way He chooses to do it.

    Pray for a mighty army of Iranian believers to be raised up in the nations where they have been scattered.

    Pray for a great harvest from Christian satellite television which is bombarding Iran 24/7.

Praying for Israel

    Pray for wisdom for our government and military leaders.

    Pray for spiritual and physical preparation and protection in case of war.

    Pray for continued increase in the harvest here on Mount Carmel and throughout Israel.

The Ezagouri’s of Or B’Darki (Morning Star) in Tiberias give a report on their vision to establish a worship network in the Galilee with worshippers from many different fellowship from the Galilee Sea to Haifa.  This is also a preparation for the warfare they believe is coming and the vision is to set up worship of the LORD to thwart the enemy’s attack.  Pray for this network to continue to grow and for continued anointing on their worship evenings together with the northern Israel believers.

They also ask prayer for A who is working with Messianic fellowships in Ethiopia with basic teaching and other projects to bless the needy.  And for G, a former army officer now in charge of the congregational teens.

Guy Cohen in the Acco Harvest of Asher congregation is asking for God’s choice for a congregational secretary – a need they have had for several months now.  Pray for God to bring forth the right person to fill the position.  Also the congregation is praying about the restoration of home groups and the preparation of the home group leaders.  Pray for strengthening of couples to take leadership within the congregation and for the protection of their families.

Arni Klien of Emmaus Way shares a word on “Healing the Nations” inside the attached Weekly Summary.  He asks, “In coming to God in the face of rampant evil, is our conscience gripped for having grieved the Lord, or are we more concerned with being delivered from destruction? . . . .If the church were living for God, the darkness would have had no place.  Beloved, we are as far from the Lord as our nation is from health.”

Mazal Tov to Carolyn & Richard Hyde, new grandparents welcoming Yahli Tiferet (my God is glorious), the daughter of their daughter Shayna.  The Hydes share some highlights from their recent travels in the USA where they encouraged aliyah among American Jews.   They are also among the prayer and worship leaders in northern Israel who are being stirred to network together with other believers in the Galilee. Pray for these who like Judah go before the soldiers laying the foundation of worship.

Stefan Silver who embarks for a speaking tour in the USA in September writes this week about removing the veil over the hearts of Jews.  It is not just a post-Yeshua veil of blindness but dates back to Exodus.  These are important points for those who desire to see the Jews return to God and to finally be able to see Yeshua as He is and for who He is – the Messiah, hope of Israel.  Read Stefan’s word inside the attached Weekly Summary.

Ron Cantor of Messiah’s Mandate is in the midst of sharing on his blog "Ten Events that Shaped My Life."  A great storyteller and writer, Cantor also shares dealing with death in Israel.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue

Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs: 

Pray for God’s complete healing of Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy (Acute Myeloid Leukemia);  Pam Singer at The Carmel Congregation;  Uzi, Meir, Bob, Fruma and Katya and Rivka (an elderly member suffering severe back problems)  at Maoz Ministries, Sofie Benson in Carmel/House of Victory, Ariela in Dimona and Brookie in the Galilee.  Tom, Nataly and Larissa who have all been diagnosed with cancer in Carmel.  Pray also for Kay Wilson suffering from PTSD after surviving a stabbing terrorism attack that her friend did not survive, and in her quest to receive proper post-terrorism financial help from the Israeli government.  Continue to pray for baby Netaley who is still in need of prayers.  Pray for Eddie and Lura Beckford whose recent move has been physically very hard on them, Lura suffering a broken rib in the moving process.   ALSO:  An update from Tom in Carmel inside the attached Weekly Summary.

'One for Israel' Media Evangelism Among Hebrew Speaking Jews & Arabs in Israel asks prayer for a young Zionist group in Israel that Israeli newspapers reported to have been behind vandalism at a Christian monastery in Jerusalem.  The door was badly burnt and “Jesus is a monkey” was written in Hebrew on the building.  One For Israel writes:  Please pray for the people who loathe the name of Yeshua, that they would be saved. Please also pray for Netanyahu and his government, and all those who are trying to serve and help in our broken country.

Most Roman Emperors were either homosexual or bisexual. Nero played his fiddle with his lovers while Rome burned. Hadrian, crowned emperor in A.D.117, pushed the envelope by being the first emperor to actually present his male lover with an officially public edict. He also killed 580,000 Jews who had rebelled against the Roman Empire, completely destroying Jerusalem, and is believed to have run a plow over all or part of the city.
