Priority Prayer Focus

Passover 2013 begins in the evening of Monday, March 25
and ends in the evening of Tuesday, April 2

Remember that Passover is not just about fascinating traditions of a meal, but it is a prophetic foreshadowing of the deliverance of Israel – not just in the past but very much in the present hour.  Even while Israelis are busy, busy shopping and making all the preparations for the Passover Seder, the Holy Spirit is also moving all over the Land and among Jews in all the nations preparing hearts to awaken to the very Messianic deliverance the Passover story foreshadows.

Pray that Holy Spirit will grant unprecedented numbers of salvations bursting forth from Messianic Seders in congregational gatherings and in private homes – in Israel and around the world.  Passover is one of the “moed” appointed times for Israel to appear before the LORD.  That salvation would be a major fruit of sharing the good news of Yeshua with Jews during Passover is expected!  It is an appointed time for the Holy Spirit to move mightily.  Let’s pray that He does and a might surge of response from Israel marks this Passover 2013.

Arrows from Zion
Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

From Tents of Mercy the focus this week is on the Katzir (Harvest) National Youth Ministry currently underway.  As shared in the Special mailing yesterday, thousands of Messianic youth have passed through the Katzir camps that was started 13 years ago under the leadership of Eitan Shishkoff.   The camps are put on 3 times a year and many of the young adults who are now counselors in the camps were once the teens attending.  Please pray for the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of all taking part in the camps, and that as they go their way from it, they will go built up in their spirits for the harvest that is at hand.

Like many of the congregations and ministries across Israel, Tents of Mercy has been providing Passover food baskets to the needy in their communities.  This year they were blessed to provide Passover food for 700 families.   In Acco, the sister congregation Harvest of Asher distributed food coupons to the needy in their city.  These are important outreaches for all the congregations to be able to demonstrate the compassion of Yeshua for those who hunger and thirst.

One of the grandmothers of Tents of Mercy that we have been praying for has passed into eternity and is one of three from the Tents Seniors group that have gone to be with the LORD in the past two months.  Their believing families are feeling the loss.  Please pray for these families and for the community as a whole that we would be strengthened by the Lord to see the young generation coming into the fullness of their destiny.

David and Leah Ortiz in Ariel report that there has been yet another postponement in the sentencing of Jack Teitel.
Without giving a reason why the sentencing has now been moved to April 9th.  The Ortiz ask for prayer that sentencing would finally take place on that date, and that “there will not be any kind of devilish plan being hatched by the defense attorneys to somehow lighten the sentence.”

Leah writes about her son, Ami, who is still suffering from the heinous act committed by Jack Teitel now five years later. Ami still deals with low level pain daily, scars, missing toes and the nagging ringing in his ears.  Yet she writes, every day “the beauty of who he is shines forth brighter and brighter; a deep, gentle and compassionate person who has gone through tragedy and unspeakable suffering yet who has survived without a trace of bitterness or hatred.”  Thank God for such a testimony!

Recently on campus Ami began to experience discomfort in his eyes, went to health services and was referred on to an eye specialist who removed a small piece of ceramic from the white of his eye.   It is one of many particles still lodged in his body from the full on blast of the bomb Teitel planted in a Purim gift basket.  Pray for Ami as he continues to deal with these after effects of religious hatred.  Pray that justice will be done for him and pray for the hardened heart of religious persecutors in Israel to see the Light of Yeshua – departing from evil.  You can read more inside the attached Weekly Summary.

Howard Bass of Nachalat Yeshua in Beer Sheva reports on his recent ministry trip into South Africa – Durban, Port Elizabeth and Capetown.  A couple who distribute the Living Stones DVD is South Africa teamed up with the Jonathan & David Foundation to expose more South Africans to the existence of the Body of Messiah in Israel.  Pray for the LORD to raise up more groups like this in the nation who are investing themselves in the Body of Believers in Israel, so the Word may go forth Zion again in our lifetimes!

As Howard writes, “Israel is important for other nations, being that she is the first-born, as the Lord told Moses to tell Pharaoh. The other nations' destinies are joined to Israel receiving her inheritance.  Israel is important to all believers, as the destiny of the Church is connected with Israel's salvation as a people, and dwelling in the land promised to the fathers for their descendants.  All of this is connected with the return of the Lord to judge the nations and to [re-]establish God's Kingdom over all that He created and made.  The whole creation is groaning until then.”

Kobi and Shani Ferguson of Yeshua Israel write about the Wild, Wild West (Bank).  According to recent statistics “Palestinians per-capita receive the highest amount of foreign aid in the world. And yet, Palestinian society remains impoverished with no infrastructure to speak of other than the infrastructure built by the Israeli government.  Where does all the money go?”

But it’s not all bad news, because Kobi also shares about an Arab church planter that he is discipling from the territories.  It will encourage you to see how Yeshua unites Jew and Palestinian in Himself – no other peace process can do that!  See how you can play a part in the exchange going on between these powerful Holy Spirit relationships between Jewish and Palestinian believers in Jesus - inside the attached Weekly Summary.

Guy Cohen of the Harvest of Asher congregation in Acco also shares of deepening relationships going on between their congregation and the Lebanese Christian pastor Joseph Hadad who leads a congregation in nearby Nahariya.  Guy writes that the two pastors “feel it is time to build a closer relationship between the congregations according to Ephesians 2:11-22 - we are one new man. Please pray for us and help us to build the spiritual Tabernacle of God.”  This are tender works of the LORD, so let’s uphold them in this vision.

Guy offers a short teaching that came from reading the Passover Haggadah about the oppressor as in the days of Egypt “is still alive and making every attempt to put back into slavery all those whom God has released. . . . His goal is to keep us from coming into our inheritance.”  You can read it inside the Weekly Summary, and catch up on the prayer requests of various ministries they would like prayer for, including the expansion of their Warehouse facility in preparation for war.  “Our vision is for a multi function warehouse facility where we could distribute food on a regular basis as well as for storage of equipment and supplies in time of war. Please pray for the will of God and His timing and provision for this vision.”

Israel Pochtar of Beit Hallel in Ashdod writes this week about the stories of Passover with all its plagues visited on Egypt and the swarm of locusts – a plague of Biblical proportions – that has been taking place as Israel prepares for Passover.   Israel has had to battle some of the swarms that were wind-swept into Israel but the government was prepared and effectively dealt with the incidents with limited damage.  Egypt has not been so blessed and has suffered greatly.  Meanwhile, Israelis are rejoicing also over the abundance of winter rains that have pulled their major water source out of danger for the first time in something like 8 years. The Sea of Galilee is now almost at its maximum level.  Much to praise God for!

Despite being targeted for on-going religious persecution, the congregations and ministries Pochtar heads are continuing to push out with the gospel. Over Passover they will host a Seder for believers and their guests.  They are also putting finishing touches on a special gospel outreach that involves a special musical program and the message of God’s plan for Israel throughout history…and Israel’s Messiah.  Pray with them, and for the follow up after the event which Poctar says is crucial.

Ron Cantor, who has stepped into a stronger role in the leadership of Tiferet Yeshua, is doing some great work via his new weekly podcast that we highly recommend for news analysis, interviews with Israeli ministry leaders, biblical insight and teaching – a little something for everyone.  Click here to listen to the latest episode.  Cantor has also initiated a 5-minutes to pray for their service every Friday as they contend for revival in Tel Aviv.  See the video.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Pray for God’s complete healing of;  Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy (recovering from bone marrow transplant for Acute Myeloid Leukemia);  Brookie in the Galilee and Tom both are believing for victory over cancer in Carmel.  Ariel and Elise of Succat Hallel; Pray for Kay Wilson still suffering from PTSD after surviving a stabbing terrorism attack that her friend did not survive.   Continue to pray for baby Netaley, who had an MRI on 3/18. Her parents have been praying for every bit of tumor to be dissolved, shriveled up, dead and gone. Please join in that prayer.

Inside the attached Weekly Summary is an update for Katya Morrison who has been waging warfare against a severe form of leukemia.  Our prayers can help.

Praying the Headlines

Pray for the 33rd Israeli Government
which has been formed under the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  See photo and the list of names and ministry appointments that have been made in what many of the believers are calling perhaps the strongest and most well balanced government Israel has ever seen.  You know when God does something like this, it is usually because the need for such strength and balance is coming down the path!

Also pray for the US President who is on the ground in Israel as we prepare to send this prayer summary out. Ask God to His will in the relationships between these leaders that will impact both nations, and many other nations besides.  God only truly knows the way ahead.

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin . . . . Zechariah 4:10

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.  Isaiah 43:19

Arrows from Zion
Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Most of the world celebrates the new year on January 1. The Jews celebrate the New Year in the fall, Rosh HaShanah. But the BIBLICAL NEW Year is today: Nissan - the first month, is literally translated as "Head of the Months / the New Things."  Would you like to know more? Hannah Weiss of Restorers of Zion has written about it here.

Truly, if there is any sense in the overview from the Israeli-Messianic news that has come in over the past week it could be summed up in the phrase, New Beginnings. It is so fitting for the biblical New Year. The sense is that we are standing on the day of new beginnings, when the things are been aligned by the LORD are in place for all He is about to do.   As the prophet Isaiah related in the verse above, Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

That doesn’t mean the battles are not raging!  Many are being pummeled with battles and faith is being challenged.   Yeshua says, "By your patience possess your souls." And Paul says, "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope does not put us to shame." Luke 21:19 and Romans 5:3-5

Pray about a new (old) battle that the first Messianic village of Yad Hashmona.... “we ask you to pray with us for wisdom and for a miracle, that these life changing plans will be altered.  Pray intercede with us about this matter.” Read more inside the attached Weekly Summary.

Arni Klein of Emmaus Way gives a report of his seven weeks in Australia which was blessed and blessedly stress-free.  So much so that upon return to Israel where the spiritual climate is a continual press, as Arni wrote: “In Israel things and people and events are jammed together, intense and contested…also like the Land.  Do you discern here a call for prayer on behalf of the body in the Land?”

I know for most Americans, for example, that the thinking is that everyone has stress in their lives and there truly is a disconnect to the reality of the pressure cooker spiritual climate that Israelis live in. It is possible to be a tourist and miss the pressure cooker-effect, but not to live there and miss it.  If you can just accept it as the truth, truly this is a call to pray for the Body in Israel as this spiritual climate grates on the best of us.

Arni also wrote about the news reports of “The Perennial Veil of Silence” the information that has been coming out that the ‘Holocaust was worse than we knew.’  It has been the claim over the years that the common people were unaware of what was happening but now we are learning that “There were more than 42,500 Nazi ghettos and camps throughout Europe from 1933 to 1945. There were 30,000 slave labor camps; 1,150 Jewish ghettos; 980 concentration camps; 1000 prisoner-of-war camps; 500 brothels filled with sex slaves; and thousands of other camps used for euthanizing the elderly and infirm, performing forced abortions.”

Clearly as Arni writes, “The harsh truth is that almost everyone had to know.”   Today the nations of the world are bending over backwards ‘not to see’ the truth in the Arab aggressive hostility toward the very existence of Israel.  A recent example is the urging of Germany and France for Bulgaria not to disclose that their year long investigation of the terror attack one year ago where 5 Israelis were killed at a resort.  The EU did not want Bulgaria to make it known that the terrorist was from the Lebanese terror group Hezballah because of trade issues.  The EU still avoids the reality of terrorist organizations (Hamas is a “political party” in Gaza? What malarkey!)

These are among hundreds of cases of the international government preferring the fairy tale over the reality when it comes to besieged Israel.  In what way is there any difference than the people of Germany pretending it did not know what the Nazis were doing to the Jews and today the international community pretending it does not know what the Islamists are doing to Israel?  There is no difference. This is why it should be a particular prayer that the people of God would discern between the false narratives and the true realities, and make a stand.  Our souls do rest on whether or not we have a love of the truth.

Arni and Yonit will be moving to the Galilee region shortly to join with a work that is going on there.  Please pray for them over these next two months as they begin to close down the facilities in the Judean Hills and prepare for the move north.  They write, “Please pray for our physical strength, for the logistics and workmen needed to restore the old house and prepare the new one, for all the necessary finances, and especially for our new landlady” who has suffered a severe family tragedy.

Claude and Michelle Ezagouri of the Morning Star Fellowship in Tiberias write this month about exciting developments taking place among their young people.  Please open the attached Weekly Summary to learn more and for prayer points.  They also write that they are really having a battle with getting all the permits necessary for their new meeting place.  They ask that we pray for a breakthrough in the matter.

Their worship leader Andrei continues to meet with the worship leaders throughout northern Israel and have monthly worship meetings open to all.  This is a greater vision for worship to blossom greatly in the north as “Judah (praise) shall go up first!” Judges 20:18  This line of praise on Israel’s northern border is a weapon – another reason why the Remnant of believers in Israel are so critical to the safekeeping of Israel.   It truly is the Remnant that is the preserving agent in the Land.  This is a practical example of the truth of that statement.

Pray for Andrei and for the vision that Morning Star Fellowship is carrying for the believers in the Galilee.  When God sent Gideon in to battle against the Midianites, God was not worried about sending all the men at Gideon’s disposal, even though Gideon thought he did not have enough men. God gave them a test to weed the number of men down from 10,000 to 300.  It is the Remnant of chosen men that God will give the victory to – this is what the worshippers of the Galilee are becoming, the frontline of Judah on the northern border.

Asher Intrater writes about the Power of the Cross in his prayer letter this week: “The message of the gospel contains power. If salvation was only legal permission to go to heaven instead of hell, then no essential power would be needed. The power is to change us – to change us from within, to change our character.”  Read this teaching online here.   One of the Revive Israel team writes an example of the kind of conviction we take to the cross to become transformed in Solomon's Wives.

Asher also writes about the concerns on the Syrian border as Israeli analysts fear the UN will abandon the demilitarized zone allowing Al Qaida-connected terrorists to occupy this sensitive area along the Israeli borders.  According to a UN refugee representative, “1,000,000 Syrian refugees have already fled the country, with half of them children under the age of 15, and that the number may well increase.”

Most of the Israeli ministries are continuing to ask prayer over the government coalition which Netanyuhu is still struggling to put together.  All looked well with a deal in the making that would have excluded the ultra-Orthodox parties – something most of the Israeli Messianic community believe would be a vast improvement.  Now as we are going to press with this issue the news reports a clash between the ambitions of Yair Lapid and Netanyahu.  Please pray for the ambitions of political figures to bow to the will of the Lord for the Israeli government leadership in this season.

Like the congregations and ministries all over Israel, David and Karen Davis of the congregation on Mt Carmel are turning to preparations for the annual Passover beginning at sundown on March 25 through April 1.  “We will be holding congregational Seder meals in multiple locations, as well as in our homes, and inviting many Israeli guests who do not yet know their Messiah.  Please pray that God’s perfect sacrificial Lamb, Yeshua, will be revealed to many Jewish people during this season.”

As promised, we have included the written message by David Davis that we sent last week in a YouTube video, titled JOSEPH’S BROTHERS ARE COMING.  You can read it inside the attached Weekly Summary in the Teaching Articles section.  They ask prayer for their follow-up teams as they begin to disciple all the new believers from their outreaches.

On May 22-25, they will be hosting the Mount Carmel Prophetic Conference "Restoring the Altar of the Lord".  Please prayerfully consider participating in this strategic gathering with an optional 5-day tour available; additional details are on our Events page at www.carmel-assembly.org.il

Ruth Nessim in Nahariya “Light of the Galilee” congregation writes about a recent encounter at an Arab congregation in Haifa when a middle-aged Arab came to her asking, “Sister Ruth, do you remember me? You looked after my mother Miriam in hospital in 1972, and then came to our home in the village to visit us.”   He was just a teenager then, but Ruth was obviously Divinely placed in his path to make an impact on him because he has since become a Christian.  May we walk through our lives in such a way that God can use our encounters to plant seed among those He wants to bring into the kingdom.  The kindness of the LORD through His people is a mighty impression-maker.

Pray for Ruth’s beloved friends Fredricka and Shoshanna, quite elderly Jewish women who have had much seed planted in their lives by Ruth and others, but who have not yet given their hearts to Yeshua.

Eddie and Jackie Santoro are also among those preparing for their personal Seder where the invited guests will be a mixture of believers and unbelievers – family and friends.  Eddie writes, “It is our prayer and hope that as I lead the Seder, the testimony of God's faithfulness and love through Yeshua, the lamb of God will be proclaimed. Pray that the hearts of the non believers will be touched by God's love. Please also pray for the testimony of Yeshua, whose presence is hidden in every part of the traditional Seder, would go forth as families throughout Israel gather to keep this Feast.”

They also ask prayers for several in the Ahavat Yeshua (Love of Yeshua) congregation in Jerusalem.  God is surely moving among them, but not without tribulations also!  Eddie’s pastoral assistant Ariel has had major sickness attacks throughout the winter.  And the worship department head, Evan’s wife Elisa has had a severe leg pain issue that doctors have been unable to find a cause for.  Pray for those specific leaders for healing – and for all those who need healing among the Body to lay hold of the miracle they need in the LORD.

The annual ELAV youth and young adult worship conference in Israel has set the date for the event this year.  It is scheduled for August 17-19th and the sponsor, Succat Hallel will announce more details as the preparations continue.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Pray for God’s complete healing of Ariel and Elise of Succat Hallel;  Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy (recovering from bone marrow transplant for Acute Myeloid Leukemia);  Brookie in the Galilee and Tom both are believing for victory over cancer in Carmel.  Pray for Kay Wilson still suffering from PTSD after surviving a stabbing terrorism attack that her friend did not survive.   Continue to pray for baby Netaley, who on Mar 18th will have the next MRI coming up. Her parents have been praying for every bit of tumor to be dissolved, shriveled up, dead and gone. Please join  in that prayer so that the MRI will show a perfect tumor- free head!   A Grandmother  in 3 generations of believers at Tents of Mercy is battling cancer. Please pray with us for this family, as they endure a difficult time.  David Silver of Out of Zion Ministries asks for prayer for a high level of joint pain he suffering in his knees and feet.

Christians are awakening to the place of Israel in God’s end-time events. What is their place in the dramatic return of Jesus’ Jewish disciples? Where do Messianic Jews fit in? Is Torah for the Gentiles?

Priority Prayer Focus

Let me just throw a thought out there. There are many Christians who support Israel through various organizations run by traditional Judaism or politically-oriented Israel support associations that work jointly with Christians. Now I have heard for years that these types of Christian support of Israel are good, even though they most often cause those Christians to bypass the work of the LORD in Israel completely.

What that means is that those Israeli citizens in the ministry of gospel are as good as non-existent to all these Christian do-gooders toward Israel.
Now this describes the majority of Christian Israel support, so what that means is that the majority of Christian support of Israel goes to support making Israel stronger in the flesh. So, knowing myself and other human beings who have come to know the LORD Jesus, when we are strong in the flesh we do not see our spiritual need for Yeshua.

At what point does Christian giving to Israel cease to be a good thing? It is meant to express good will, but at what point does good will become just enabling of the flesh to resist the need of the LORD?

I think that many Christian organizations have become so invested in building up Israel in the flesh while ignoring the spiritual building up Israel needs that many have begun to move at cross purposes with the Will of God for Israel. Now they would never know it because, (1) they continue to be embraced by unsaved Israel and have large followings among Christians who support Israel; and (2) because God's will for Christian support of Israel is first and foremost a spiritual matter that must be spiritually discerned from the Word of God and from the awakening to what the Holy Spirit is doing in Israel in this season.

There was a time for Christians to support the raising up of the dry bones of Ezekiel's vision in primarily fleshly ways.  But we are well into the season where the bones have put on flesh and stand, now the season is to address the spiritual life of the Holy Spirit in Israel. When Christians who support Israel begin to see that the season has changed, then their exclusive support of Israel in the flesh will transform to support of the spiritual work.

Can you pray with me for Christians across the world who support Israel to begin to awaken to the change of season, to cease making Israel strong only in the flesh, and to begin to sow into the spiritual harvest that has begun in earnest in the holy land that is on its way to becoming truly Holy?  - Donna Diorio

Revive-Israel’s Asher Intrater is calling for urgent prayer he writes that is still needed in forming the new Israeli government under Prime Minister Netanyahu.  The difficulty comes because of the PM’s reluctance to leave the ultra-Orthodox out of his coalition.

Asher writes:  “Messianic believers in the country seem to be in favor of his joining forces with Lapid's party and Bennet's party, which would push for social justice, equality of military service and religious pluralism. . . . There is an opportunity for a breakthrough in the Israel political scene, but time is running short: Netanyahu can ask for a one-time two-week extension to March 16; which is only a few days before Obama's scheduled visit to Israel on March 20.”

The pre-Purim Esther Fast that was streaming live from Jerusalem (and hosted by Revive-Israel) had 1,048 connections from 8 different nations joining on live stream.  Two of the Revive-Israel team wrote: “Despite the fact that most did not understand the Hebrew flow of prayer, praise and prophecy, many expressed how meaningful it was for them to be part of something authentic with local Israeli believers.”

Revive features the Messianic music of Judah and Jennifer Morrison who have just released a new album called Let Us Return.  “Their worship songs have been played in congregations throughout Israel for the last decade and now you too can join in with what the Spirit is doing through worship in the Holy Land.  You can purchase and download Let Us Return on: iTunes OR CD Baby”

This week we have an important report on ministry to the Druze from a couple who must remain anonymous to our subscribers (we know them and they are in good standing in the Body in Israel). They note that “the Druze are one of the hardest-to-reach people groups in the 10/40 Window.”  They ask prayer over the coming summer outreaches when they are involved in summer camps tor Druze, Arab and at-risk kids in their area.  You will be blessed to read how the LORD is reaching these young people in Israel through Messianic Jewish ministries. Read the full report inside the attached Weekly Summary.

It’s the little things in daily life that people see that begins your testimony of the difference Yeshua has made in your life.  Lura Beckford reported on how their clean up of trash left by their landlord on the property (think Sandford & Son) and how their openness to improve a neighbor’s view of the property has opened their neighbor’s heart to them.   Matthew 5:41 talks about how our witness must go the extra mile to disarm hearts.  This is the type of witness that Israeli Messianic believers are demonstrating through their lives in their own circles of influence – and this is the witness of the power of Yeshua that is opening Israeli hearts to the Messiah.

Ye’shi Reinhardt of Hands of Mercy which does humanitarian aid to terror victims (especially in the region around Gaza), brings attention to the Baby Boom going on in Israel – a 20% increase of births between August and September last year.  Israeli commentators said the reason for the boom was the particularly cold and rainy winter – so imagine what is coming as the 2013 rainy season wraps up!  Ye’shi (Jesse) writes, “All creation rejoices to witness this gift of "new life" vibrantly springing up everywhere throughout Israel.   Here in the shadow of Gaza, we especially celebrate this "gift of new life" and the abundance of rain.”

The hard hit Sde’rot, which Reinhardt’s Tents of Victory ministers to, has been blessed through the Joseph Project with a truck load of disposable baby diapers (10,000!) that came through “Containers of Compassion” in Australia.  Wow!  Talk about the Holy Spirit anticipating the need!

Pray for the teams that work with Reinhardt’s two ministries who while the rocket attacks from Gaza have slowed down are now feeling like they are under “spiritual rocket attacks.”  Yeshi writes, “severe sickness to most of our staff, a near-fatal accident, costly auto repairs, anger, slander, destructive misunderstandings and threat of physical harm/death…all in this ‘war-battered’ area near Gaza.  Welcome to the reality of life!  (Can you relate?).”

As a matter of fact, Ye’shi , some of us can! and it may be something many are experiencing at this time.  Let’s pray against these spiritual barrage of the enemy – No weapon formed against us shall prosper and every tongue that rises to condemn us, we render null and void to carry out its destructive purpose.

From Acco, Guy and Tali Cohen are taking part in a conference in Tel Aviv, and enjoying a time of rest and renewal as well.  Pray for God’s blessing to be upon all the leaders as they get away to conferences that are especially for ministry leaders – and also for just their times of getting away for rest and renewal.  These servants of the LORD carry a lot for their people, so let us pray that the LORD abundantly bless them with refreshing.

Pray for the Acco Harvest of Asher that will be distributing food coupons in their community for the needy to be blessed with Passover food.  Throughout Israel the ministries will be doing various outreaches whether delivery of food or vouchers for food, or for Passover Seders where those in the highways and byways are invited in.  The Holy Spirit always uses these special times to soften hearts to the good news of Messiah – pray that the kingdom of Yeshua will be greatly expanded in Israel over this Passover.

Guy Cohen also notes, “This year the annual summer camp ‘KATZIR’ (Harvest) will be held from March 19 - 21. Youth from many of the congregations in the land participate. Our youth will be attending and our youth leader will be one of the counselors. Pray for their safety and that they will have a blessed time of fellowship and receive all that God has for them.”

David and Josie Silver of Out of Zion Ministries also write this week about the coming Passover holiday: “Israel is a statement to the world today that He keeps His word, whether people, governments, churches like or not, or believe it or not. Israel is a statement of God’s faithfulness. Now is the time for the Jewish people to know freedom from slavery to sin, through Messiah’s Blood. Would you pray with us all here in Israel, during Pesach (Passover week) as we nationally celebrate this Feast time.”

We hope you enjoyed the special report we sent out yesterday from Israel Pochtar on the recent Middle Eastern conference they attended.  What an encouraging report of what the LORD is doing in the salvation of many in Muslim nations!   (Please do not share those reports on the web in order to protect the identities of those written about.)

Pochtar also is looking a the fields which are white unto the harvest in Israel (John 4:35), saying that “Yeshua's words and they have never been more relevant as they are these days in Israel.”  Their congregation will also be doing a special Passover outreach for 1,200 people from all over Israel.  “The event consists of a musical and cultural program, after which the speaker will share the words of Jesus. The amazing response and eagerness to participate in this gospel outreach event has really showed us that the fields are indeed ripe for harvest.”   The event is mostly sponsored but they still need to raise an additional $5,000.  You can find out how to participate in this financially – having a part in the building of the kingdom of the LORD in Israel – by opening the attached Weekly Summary.

Jacob Damkani, one of the pioneer sabra evangelists of Israel, shares a VIDEO  of a recent outreach conducted in Tel Aviv.  Trumpet of Salvation takes believers from the nations on to the streets of Israel to minister the gospel to Israelis.  His book, Why Me? has been a powerful testimony to Israelis over the years.  Jacob has been beaten up numerous times, and keeps coming back cheerfully to challenge Israelis with the choice of Israeli’s Messiah.  Pray for him as he teaches others to share the good news with Israelis.

Israelprayer picked up this link from Facebook, David Davis’ Carmel Congregation message last Shabbat called Joseph’s Brothers Are Coming.  Wow!  It is so encouraging to hear how their outreaches are seeing 60 people fill the altar to receive Yeshua!  This morning the monthly prayer letter arrived from the HaCarmel congregation that included the print version of this outstanding teaching by David Davis.  We will run that next week so in the meantime enjoy the video message from Mt. Carmel. (Preached in English with Hebrew translation.)

Also this week we listened to the new weekly PodCast that Ron Cantor is doing from Tel Aviv and can highly recommend it.  I particularly enjoyed the opening segment Chaim G and Ron talking about the current news events in Israel.  There really is a little something for everyone – a historical segment, a Biblical teaching segment and an interview segment with Israelis who are making an impact for the kingdom of the LORD in Israel.  The one I listened to featured Eitan Shishkoff who has planted a whole network of congregations in northern Israel.  Ron is a truly gifted communicator and a real delight to hear from on a wide range of topics.  You can find out how to stream, download or subscribe to the podcast at Messiah'sMandate.org and you can listen to the first four episodes here: Episode 1   Episode 2   Episode 3  Episode 4

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Pray for God’s complete healing of Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy (recovering from bone marrow transplant for Acute Myeloid Leukemia);  Brookie in the Galilee and Tom both are believing for victory over cancer in Carmel. Also there is a health update on Tom in his battle with cancer.

Praying the Headlines

The Jerusalem Institute of Justice has just launched a petition to the United States & European Committee on Foreign Relations. Please take a moment to add your signature to the JIJ Petition and support as we fight for justice in the Middle East.  Read the full notice inside the Weekly Summary. Here is but an excerpt:

“Over the past nearly two decades, since the signing of the Oslo Accords, 25 times more aid per capita has been donated to the Palestinian people than all of the aid contributed by the USA to Europe under the Marshall Plan for the recovery and economic reconstruction of Europe after World War II. Rather than being used to create a strong economy and democratic Palestinian Administration, this money has been funneled into the private bank accounts of Palestinian leaders, financed militant terrorist activities, and funded education of the next generation with values of hatred, violence, racism and anti-Semitism. … Therefore, we call upon the US & European Government to start effectively monitoring financial aid contributed to the Palestinian Authority and UNWRA….”

We are heading into a special period of growth and multiplication. In Israel the rains have been abundant (Hosea 6:3); the almond flowers have blossomed (Jeremiah 1:11); this is an "acceptable year of favor" (Isaiah 61:2).

The Israeli Messianic Marketplace  Feature of the Week
Are you ready to go off the beaten path?
Moshe Morrison's new book,
Out of the Corner of My Eye will take you there!
I've been reading Moshe Morrison's new book, Out of the Corner of My Eye, which is a collection of short stories. Wow! I knew Moshe was funny and a good writer of spiritual teachings, but he is also a really imaginative writer of fiction. Some of the short stories are sci-fi-ish, or like the old TV series, Outer Limits. But my favorites are the short stories that are little snippets of Jewish and/or Messianic life. Really enjoying the reads - they make me smile. –Donna Diorio

“Moshe has unleashed here a flow of humor, fantasy and deep hearted reverence for the Redeemer. What a rare combination he is!  He will entertain you and engage your imagination – all the while drawing you closer to the deep purposes for which you were created.” – Eitan Shishkoff, founding director of Tents of Mercy Network
