Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel
Most of the world celebrates the new year on January
1. The Jews celebrate the New Year in the fall, Rosh HaShanah. But the BIBLICAL
NEW Year is today: Nissan - the first month, is literally translated as
"Head of the Months / the New Things." Would you like to know more? Hannah Weiss of

Truly, if there is any sense in the overview from the
Israeli-Messianic news that has come in over the past week it could be summed
up in the phrase, New Beginnings. It is so fitting for the biblical New Year.
The sense is that we are standing on the day of new beginnings, when the things
are been aligned by the LORD are in place for all He is about to do. As the prophet Isaiah related in the verse
above, Behold, I will do a new thing; now
it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the
wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
That
doesn’t mean the battles are not raging!
Many are being pummeled with battles and faith is being challenged. Yeshua says, "By your patience possess your souls." And Paul says, "Not only that, but we rejoice in our
sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, And patience,
experience; and experience, hope: And hope does not put us to shame."
Luke 21:19 and Romans 5:3-5

Arni Klein of Emmaus Way gives a report of his
seven weeks in Australia which was blessed and blessedly stress-free. So much so that upon return to Israel where
the spiritual climate is a continual press, as Arni wrote: “In Israel things
and people and events are jammed together, intense and contested…also like the
Land. Do you discern here a call for
prayer on behalf of the body in the Land?”
I know for most Americans, for example, that the thinking is that everyone has stress in their lives and there truly is a disconnect to the reality of the pressure cooker spiritual climate that Israelis live in. It is possible to be a tourist and miss the pressure cooker-effect, but not to live there and miss it. If you can just accept it as the truth, truly this is a call to pray for the Body in Israel as this spiritual climate grates on the best of us.
Arni
also wrote about the news reports of “The Perennial Veil of Silence” the
information that has been coming out that the ‘Holocaust was worse than we knew.’ It has been the claim over the years that the
common people were unaware of what was happening but now we are learning that “There were more than 42,500 Nazi ghettos and camps
throughout Europe from 1933 to 1945. There were 30,000 slave labor camps; 1,150
Jewish ghettos; 980 concentration camps; 1000 prisoner-of-war camps; 500
brothels filled with sex slaves; and thousands of other camps used for
euthanizing the elderly and infirm, performing forced abortions.”
Clearly as Arni writes, “The harsh truth is that almost everyone had to know.” Today the nations of the world are bending over backwards ‘not to see’ the truth in the Arab aggressive hostility toward the very existence of Israel. A recent example is the urging of Germany and France for Bulgaria not to disclose that their year long investigation of the terror attack one year ago where 5 Israelis were killed at a resort. The EU did not want Bulgaria to make it known that the terrorist was from the Lebanese terror group Hezballah because of trade issues. The EU still avoids the reality of terrorist organizations (Hamas is a “political party” in Gaza? What malarkey!)
These are among hundreds of cases of the international government preferring the fairy tale over the reality when it comes to besieged Israel. In what way is there any difference than the people of Germany pretending it did not know what the Nazis were doing to the Jews and today the international community pretending it does not know what the Islamists are doing to Israel? There is no difference. This is why it should be a particular prayer that the people of God would discern between the false narratives and the true realities, and make a stand. Our souls do rest on whether or not we have a love of the truth.

Arni and Yonit will be moving to the Galilee
region shortly to join with a work that is going on there. Please pray for them over these next two
months as they begin to close down the facilities in the Judean Hills and prepare
for the move north. They write, “Please
pray for our physical strength, for the logistics and workmen needed to restore
the old house and prepare the new one, for all the necessary finances, and
especially for our new landlady” who has suffered a severe family tragedy.
Claude and Michelle Ezagouri of the Morning
Star Fellowship in Tiberias write this month about exciting developments taking
place among their young people. Please
open the attached Weekly Summary to learn more and for prayer points. They also write that they are really having a
battle with getting all the permits necessary for their new meeting place. They ask that we pray for a breakthrough in
the matter.
Their worship leader Andrei continues to meet with the worship leaders throughout northern Israel and have monthly worship meetings open to all. This is a greater vision for worship to blossom greatly in the north as “Judah (praise) shall go up first!” Judges 20:18 This line of praise on Israel’s northern border is a weapon – another reason why the Remnant of believers in Israel are so critical to the safekeeping of Israel. It truly is the Remnant that is the preserving agent in the Land. This is a practical example of the truth of that statement.

Pray for Andrei and for the vision that
Morning Star Fellowship is carrying for the believers in the Galilee. When God sent Gideon in to battle against the
Midianites, God was not worried about sending all the men at Gideon’s disposal,
even though Gideon thought he did not have enough men. God gave them a test to
weed the number of men down from 10,000 to 300.
It is the Remnant of chosen men that God will give the victory to – this
is what the worshippers of the Galilee are becoming, the frontline of Judah on
the northern border.
Asher Intrater writes about the Power of the Cross in his prayer letter this
week: “The message of the gospel contains power. If salvation was only legal
permission to go to heaven instead of hell, then no essential power would be
needed. The power is to change us – to change us from within, to change our
character.” Read this

Revive Israel team writes an example of the kind of conviction we take to the
cross to become transformed in Solomon's Wives.
Asher also writes about the concerns on the Syrian border as Israeli analysts fear the UN will abandon the demilitarized zone allowing Al Qaida-connected terrorists to occupy this sensitive area along the Israeli borders. According to a UN refugee representative, “1,000,000 Syrian refugees have already fled the country, with half of them children under the age of 15, and that the number may well increase.”
Most
of the Israeli ministries are continuing to ask prayer over the government
coalition which Netanyuhu is still struggling to put together. All looked well with a deal in the making
that would have excluded the ultra-Orthodox parties – something most of the
Israeli Messianic community believe would be a vast improvement. Now as we are going to press with this issue
the news reports a clash between the ambitions of Yair Lapid and Netanyahu. Please pray for the ambitions of political
figures to bow to the will of the Lord for the Israeli government leadership in
this season.
Like
the congregations and ministries all over Israel, David and Karen Davis of the
congregation on Mt Carmel are turning to preparations for the annual Passover beginning at sundown on March 25 through April 1. “We will be holding congregational Seder
meals in multiple locations, as well as in our homes, and inviting many Israeli
guests who do not yet know their Messiah.
Please pray that God’s perfect sacrificial Lamb, Yeshua, will be revealed
to many Jewish people during this season.”

follow-up teams as they begin to disciple all the new believers from their
outreaches.

Ruth
Nessim in Nahariya “Light of the Galilee” congregation writes about a recent
encounter at an Arab congregation in Haifa when a middle-aged Arab came to her
asking, “Sister Ruth, do you remember me? You looked
after my mother Miriam in hospital in 1972, and then came to our home in the
village to visit us.” He was just a
teenager then, but Ruth was obviously Divinely placed in his path to make an
impact on him because he has since become a Christian. May we walk through our lives in such a way
that God can use our encounters to plant seed among those He wants to bring
into the kingdom. The kindness of the
LORD through His people is a mighty impression-maker.
Pray
for Ruth’s beloved friends Fredricka and Shoshanna, quite elderly Jewish women
who have had much seed planted in their lives by Ruth and others, but who have
not yet given their hearts to Yeshua.
Eddie and Jackie Santoro are also among those
preparing for their personal Seder where the invited guests will be a mixture
of believers and unbelievers – family and friends. Eddie writes, “It is our prayer and hope that as I lead the Seder, the testimony of
God's faithfulness and love through Yeshua, the lamb of God will be proclaimed.
Pray that the hearts of the non believers will be touched by God's love. Please
also pray for the testimony of Yeshua, whose presence is hidden in every part
of the traditional Seder, would go forth as families throughout Israel gather
to keep this Feast.”
They
also ask prayers for several in the Ahavat Yeshua (Love of Yeshua) congregation
in Jerusalem. God is surely moving among
them, but not without tribulations also!
Eddie’s pastoral assistant Ariel has had major sickness attacks
throughout the winter. And the worship
department head, Evan’s wife Elisa has had a severe leg pain issue that doctors
have been unable to find a cause for.
Pray for those specific leaders for healing – and for all those who need
healing among the Body to lay hold of the miracle they need in the LORD.
The
annual ELAV youth and young adult worship conference in Israel has set the date
for the event this year. It is scheduled
for August 17-19th and the sponsor, Succat Hallel will announce more
details as the preparations continue.
Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the
tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli
believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:
Pray for God’s complete healing of Ariel and Elise of
Succat Hallel; Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy (recovering from bone marrow transplant for Acute Myeloid Leukemia); Brookie
in the Galilee and Tom both are
believing for victory over cancer in Carmel. Pray
for Kay Wilson still
suffering from PTSD after surviving a stabbing terrorism attack that her friend
did not survive. Continue to pray for baby Netaley, who on Mar 18th will have the next MRI coming up. Her
parents have been praying for every bit of tumor to be dissolved, shriveled up,
dead and gone. Please join in that
prayer so that the MRI will show a perfect tumor- free head! A Grandmother in 3 generations of believers at Tents of
Mercy is battling cancer. Please pray with us for this family, as they endure a
difficult time. David Silver of Out of Zion Ministries asks for prayer for a high
level of joint pain he suffering in his knees and feet.
