Priority Prayer Focus

As the week progressed we noticed a key point on the minds of Israeli ministries was the increase of spiritual warfare they are under as believers in Israel.  They carry the same pressures as all Israelis of being the target of demonic hatred as Israeli Jews, but they also carry an additional target on their backs because they are the FEET OF YESHUA IN THE HOLY LAND.  They need the help of spiritual warriors to do all they have been called to do.

Pray that the efforts to inform and educate Christians on how to support the DESIRE of the LORD for Israel to begin to make greater headway.  For breakthroughs in the learning curve that will release an Issachar anointing among the intercessors for Israel.

Arrows from Zion Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Have you noticed in recent weeks the online Israeli newspapers in an uproar over the religious ultra-orthodox incidents forcing their convictions on other Israelis?  Messianic believers have been the central target of that persecution for many years, now it is predictably spilling over into the general population.  The Sorko-Ram’s have put out an informative YouTube video to explain what is going on called Jews vs. Jews…the Battle for Israel.

This religious vs. secular battle does not remove the Israeli Body of Messiah from continuing to be a central target of persecution.  Their very presence in the Land is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen – when the Messiah will rule over mount Zion and the “Holy Land” will truly be holiness unto the LORD.

As one Jerusalem pastor wrote last week, “The battle between the forces of darkness and the Kingdom of God is intensifying. The center of this world wide battle is Israel and the most contested place within Israel is the city of Jerusalem. And finally within the city of Jerusalem, the Body of Messiah is the ultimate target. Our presence in the city of Jerusalem is a prophetic declaration that the day of the Lord is drawing near.”

Pray for the Body of Messiah in Israel for the battle against them does not come out just in one direction but in many directions – from the enemies of the Jewish people and from the enemies of the gospel.  Pray Deuteronomy 28:7 "The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”

The Jerusalem pastor nailed it: “Every victim of terror in Israel is ultimately attacked for being a manifestation of God's prophetic promise to restore Israel. How much more is this true for those who carry the promise of the spiritual as well as the physical restoration.”

The Messianic attorneys of the Jerusalem Institute of Justice reported two recent victories for Israeli Messianic Jews who were targeted last year by religious intolerance and one case of discrimination in a citizenship rights case.  In the first incident, Israelprayer notes that for many weeks during the summer of 2011 we were providing prayer points for intercessors.  This is where the spiritual warfare intersects with the steps taken in the natural to combat persecution. 

The Jerusalem Institute of Justice has successfully handled over 440 cases including 18 Supreme Court victories, which contribute to the advancement of religious freedom and overall democratic values in Israeli society – clearly the law is on the side of freedom, but justice is often achieved only by an answer from Heaven.  Being able to pray in an informed way as events are unfolding undoubtedly undergirds the success of these Messianic attorneys who stand up for the Body of Messiah in Israel. 

Prayer also helps breakthrough in giving the media eyes to see.  As one Christian journalist who covers Muslim persecution of Christians admitted, “I want to apologize. I thought your persecution (Israeli Messianic Jewish) was not real.”  This is still a major hurdle to overcome in the Israel-supporting Church – to have eyes to see the truth of these matters and stand with the Body of believers.  

Subscribers need to see how the prayers prayed at the time of the events factored in to ultimately winning the battle.  Also we have provided some insight via an article written by Asher Intrater at that time called, Missionaries which explains why the charge is so highly inflammatory in Israel. We encourage you to read more about this inside the attached Weekly Summary.

Enemies without and enemies within…and then really within!  Pray also for the saints in Israel to do personal, individual battle over the spirit of offense rising up against each other.  The battle that goes on in our own minds is really the greatest battle than any of us ever face and must gain victory in if we are to be effective for the purposes of the kingdom of the LORD.  Psalm 103:8 “The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.”  We are called to be like Him.

We are hearing reports of influential Israelis who are coming to the LORD – this is not like the ‘urban legend’ stories that circulate about 70 rabbis who have secretly come to faith – this is real.  Pray for “M” an influential Israeli who recently came to faith.  Pray for the seed planted to be protected and for this person to receive the watering of discipleship that will anchor his walk in faith.

The gospel is also being shared in Muslim communities by Jewish ministers and also by Arab pastors who are financially supported by Israeli Jewish ministries.  The witness of the power of Yeshua to unite Jewish and Arab brothers in Messiah to labor together for the salvation of their people is a mighty work that God is doing mostly under the radar of the world – including the Church.  Pray for these strategic alliances:   “There is one Body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling.” Eph 4:4

An evangelist based out of the Tel Aviv area but who ministers throughout the streets of Israel as the Spirit leads, also finds himself targeted by the “missionary police.”  He is also featured in photos on a Jewish “anti-missionary” activist website – with a red circle drawn around his face and labeled “Kotel bandit”.   Pray for Yeshua to be revealed to these persecutors of believers like the apostle Paul before them.  Ro 10:2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

In Arad, all the nuisance court cases against the Beckfords have been resolved, but they are back in court helping other believers answer false charges.  Pray for the courts in Israel as “lawfare” is a common tactic to wear down believers through expense and the stresses of defending against false charges (like assault).  Pray also for the police departments and city governments where Messianic Jews often do not receive due notice when violated – even when children are intimidated with death threat.

Pray for those Messianic believers who not only are not persuaded by intimidation to run away from the areas they are being afflicted in, but who are instead pressing into greater visions of setting down deep roots in the location.  We know of so many with great visions from God to build spaces for the Body of Messiah. Pray for provisional breakthroughs for each of these visions in the Name of the LORD Yeshua.

There are so many expressions of the Messiah’s love in the diverse ministries of Israel – like the many colored coat of Joseph each of the expressions is beautiful in their own right.  There is no reason for every ministry to be exactly like the other, but only for every ministry to faithfully be about the Father’s business that has been given to each of them.  It is not a competition – it is a magnificent orchestration that together produces beautiful music calling the lost to safe haven.  Pray for the different expressions to value each other.

Messianic  congregations in Israel are filled with people who need jobs and it is a longstanding issue for the pastors.  Pray for the favor of the LORD on those who need jobs.  Pray also for the provision of the ministries who are doing humanitarian aid – not only among their own communities but in the highways and byways.

Pray for the Israeli ministries embarking on tours and also welcoming in conference attendees:  "Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall yoube when you go out.”  We thank God for a quick good report overnight after hearing that Joseph Shulum of Congregation Roeh Yisrael had to be rushed to a NYC hospital upon arrival from Israel with heart attack symptoms.  Followup tests have been negative and Shulam is feeling much better, though doctors continue to test.  Pray for this pioneer of faith in Israel to be able to continue in his planned journey.

Last week we shared a special word from David Ortiz in Ariel, Dreadful Dream, that is the warning of an assignment from hell that has gone out against those declaring salvation to the Jewish people, and how some believers think themselves "safe" if they just keep out of the way, un-involved.

It is significant that this dream was given to David, whose youngest son was miraculously spared death after opening a bomb rigged gift basket that had been left at their doorstep by a religious anti-messianic zealot in 2008. The family knows both the horror of being struck by demonic hatred, and also ignored in their crisis by spiritual brothers ‘keeping neutral.’ 

David wrote of the dream,  “I heard an announcement that was made from Hell, saying, “There is a sword that has been issued to cut down those that are declaring the message of salvation to the Jewish people that Yeshua is the Messiah. It should cut them down to pieces.” 

In the same couple of days last week, we heard of similar dreams – some credible, some not.  We also heard of two violent attacks on members of one Jerusalem congregation one week apart.  A sword of hell against the Body of Messiah in Israel is credible as evidenced in these two attacks.

We don’t share these things to be alarmist, but we do believe that it is spiritual indication of increased warfare against the Body in Israel.  Please make this our prayer priority for this season.  (You can read David’s full dream online here.)

Arrows from Zion Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

1 Corinthians 14: 15 Paul says, “I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding.”  1 Chronicles 12:32 says, “the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do.” 

There are all kinds of prayers going up for Israel.  We know of people who only want to pray for Israel by the Spirit with no personal knowledge of the issues.  We know others who want to pray for Israel based on the opinions of traditional religious right-wing political view points.  Our conviction is that the superior way to pray in agreement with God’s will for Israel is to align ourselves to hear what God is speaking to the saved Remnant, the Body of Messiah in Israel.  Armed with this insider information, we may pray in the Spirit and with understanding. 

Pray for an increase in those willing to break out of old patterns for praying for Israel and enter into a new level of contending for the salvation of Israel.  Psalm 144:1 and 10 Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battl e …The One who gives salvation to kings, Who delivers David His servant From the deadly sword.

For the second week in a row another member of a Jerusalem congregation has been attacked by Muslim Arabs.  We believe this adds credence to the “Dreadful Dream” shared by David Ortiz and ask for a major prayer focus to rise up against the sword issued from hell against those declaring the gospel to Jews.  Proclaim Isaiah 54:17:
    “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD.

Psalm 141:3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.  In line with the teaching this week from Asher Intrater of how “a flood of words” and twisted words are a mainstay weapon of Satan to create division, mistrust and offense among the saints – even our prayers can bombard heaven with a flood of accusation against a certain person or body.   Let us cut off word curses from every direction they are flowing – even from our own lips.

It is not only the UN that mounts a war of lying words against Israel, but major religious leaders – even major respected names in the ministry in the United States – are also spinning out extreme lies against the Jewish State. Real atrocities are being perpetrated by Muslim extremism around the Middle East while Christian leaders meet in Bethlehem in Dec 2011 to define Israel as an “illegal regime” and a “crime against humanity.” 

They also declared that the more neutral Churches are “accomplices in crimes against humanity” and attacks Christian Zionism as “a crime and sin as defying the core of the Gospel”.   Pray that God will deliver these deceived souls!  The fog of deception cleared away from the minds of Christians embracing lies of the enemies of God’s purposes.  (When stuff like this stops offending you, check yourselves. You may be indifferent to the people that the whole Bible is filled with promises to save.)

Deuteronomy 28:9  "The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you.”  Thank the LORD with the Bass family who dedicated their granddaughter to the LORD last Shabbat, and marked their 30 years in Israel as a 3-generation Messianic Israeli family.  Mazel Tov! Howard shares highlights from their spiritual journey inside the attached Weekly Summary with pictures of their family and co-laborers at Yeshua’s Inheritance congregation in Beer Sheva.

Pray for the families of the ministries across Israel for maturity unto godliness - that “our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace.”  Psalm 144:12  “All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13

There are 150+ Messianic congregations and many other home groups throughout the Land of Israel with an estimated 15,000+ individual Messianic Jewish believers.  One recent Facebook post showed the picture of a smiling young man holding a card that said, “0.2%”.  The post read, “I am an Israeli Jew who came to faith in Yeshua. I am the 0.2%!”  Pray for the individuals in the Israeli Body of Messiah, who are the Temple of Living Stones being raised up by Yeshua – and the laborers in His harvest field.

Pray for those ministries who go out into the highways and byways of Israel ministering to the people the LORD directs in their paths.  Christian tourists to Israel see only a tiny glimpse of what life is like in the “Holy Land” – mostly the 5-star hotels and the ancient ruins.  Where real Israelis live, this is a different world.  Pray for those who are listening to the cry of their people, Israel, and answering with the good news of hope in Messiah.

There are many stresses in Israel – not the least of which is being the object of irrational demonic hatred all over the world!  In a world without Yeshua, people cope with these kinds of pressure in a multitude of self-destructive lifestyles.  Yet Yeshua said that He came for those that needed healing – those that were living unrighteous, not the pious.  Pray for secular, unbelieving Israel to meet the Healer of men’s souls.

In northern Israel one ministry is in the final stages of completing a sales contract for a congregational building.  All has been smooth sailing until now and pressure has come against the seller.  The man consented to prayer from the believers.  Stand in agreement with them for the completion of the deal at the early agreed price and also for healing for the seller – as a witness strengthening faith to believe on Yeshua.

In the Galilee one congregation is looking over the past year with grateful thanks for God’s goodness toward them.  29 people were immersed (baptized) this year, including a couple who are 87 years old!  Pray for the elderly in Israel to open their hearts to reconcile with God through His Messiah Yeshua.  

While two members of this congregation passed away in 2011, there were 12 babies born.  Pray for this lively congregation – and for all the congregations of Israel – to increase in numbers and grace in 2012.  Pray for their expansion needs to be met – for finances and the physical location to open up.  They are “pressed down, and shaken together, and running over” as many Israeli congregations are.  Pray that men would give into their bosom for the needs to be met, according to Luke 6:38.

Thank God for the healing and other miracles going on at this congregation.  An unbeliever (the mother of a man who came to faith a few years ago) was healed of liver disease and gave her life to Yeshua.  Later her daughter and her daughter’s family also came to faith as a result of the miracle.  This man was the first in his family to know the Lord.  Pray for the believers who are God’s seed of salvation planted in their families.

Psalm 91:7 and 13 says, “A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; [But] it shall not come near you…. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.”  Thank God for the poisonous scorpion that fell from the leg of the youngest son of a Tiberius pastor.  The next day the scorpion was finally found lurking inside the car and was literally trampled underfoot having harmed no one.

Psalm 102:16 says, “For the Lord will build up Zion and He shall be appear in His glory.”  This is also the theme given by the Holy Spirit for the 11^th annual intercessors prayer gathering that the Silver’s of Out of Zion ministries will be hosting in May.  They noted that the word translated “appear” is in the Hebrew in fact, “visible.”  This bears great witness, for as the LORD is building up Zion, He is VISIBLE in the glory that His people are carrying within themselves.  It is the glory of the LORD on His servants in Israel that is drawing unbelieving Israelis to the faith in Messiah.

Pray for all of the Israeli Messianic tours, conferences and other gatherings that will take place in Israel this year.  That God will bring about a new level of commitment to the Body in Israel – and an awakening in the churches AND the messianic congregations of how crucially key the Body of Messiah in Israel is on every spiritual level.

The fall out of the so-called Arab Spring has brought great devastation to Middle Eastern nations and the Christians in those nations have been the prime targets of violence by Islamist extremist groups stoking the fires of unrest.  Inside the Weekly Summary this week we share reports from many ME nations thanks to the JNN (Jerusalem News Network) of Barry & Batya Segal.  

We agree with the Segal’s urging: “Please take time in your home group meetings and prayer gatherings to pray for the Christians of Pakistan and other regions increasingly permeated by Islamic terror and domination. Intercede for the courage and protection of our persecuted brothers and sisters in Yeshua, as well as for the needs of those members of church communities, friends and families close to home. “

Urgent Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue

Pray for God’s complete healing of Meir, Bob, Fruma and Katya at Maoz Ministries, Sofie Benson in Carmel/House of Victory, Ariela in Arad and Brookie in the Galilee.  Tom, Nataly and Larissa who have all recently been diagnosed with cancer in Carmel

Pray for Kevin, an elder at Adonai Roi Messianic who has undergone gall bladder surgery and some complication with a hole in this stomach that doctors were slated to repair.  He has been in lots of pain.

Please pray for Lorena Silveira (Ha-Makom) and her and Eduardo’s son, Kenneth, who have celiac disease & cannot eat foods with gluten, also for son Bruchel who also has severe food allergies.

Israelprayer:  A personal update on our grandson Karl who just marked the one year anniversary of a car crash that caused Severe Traumatic Brain Injury with Diffuse Axona Injury.  Karl has come a long way since he landed in the SICU.  One indication of just how far is that when he and his parents went back on the 1-year anniversary to the SICU ward and saw many of the nurses who attended Karl in the early weeks last year, several of the nurses cried when they saw him.  The odds of Karl ever waking out of the coma, or when he did, ever being more than alive in a vegetative state were extremely grim.  BUT GOD and the prayers of the saints on this mailing list who fought with us for Karl’s life to be spared.  In no small measure, our previous experience with the miracles that God worked in restoring Ami Ortiz from impossible injuries buoyed our faith for Karl. 
Thank you, one and all for prayers that have granted life and a second change to our grandson.  Karl is not 100% restored.  He still walks with a shuffle that is distinct to brain injuries – but he is improving steadily over the past year.  He still has short term memory problems, but his wit has returned.  Every time we see him there is improvement although a new issue – that of his frustration because he is not fully restored.  He wants to get a job and has been saying since he was in the hospital to this day that he wants a job where he can help people, maybe in rehab like he has gone through.  He has awakened with a God consciousness and is always saying God spared him for a purpose.  This is a testimony to the goodness of God, and the power of your prayers to make life-saving differences.

On the morning we received news that Karl was in intensive care and no one knew if he would survive, just minutes before I had written on Facebook:  “Today I woke with no voice, my throat is sore and closed because of flu. It spoke to me of Prov 31:8-9 "Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all "sons passing away". Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy."

We are voices, one for another.  Thank you.

The Messianic Jewish Movement and its Greatest Need Immersion in the Holy Spirit

Early Pentecostalism is associated the immersion in the Spirit with power for witnessing or sharing the Good News. Acts 1:8 makes this connection clear. "You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

....It is important that we Messianic Jews embrace the full import of this. The resistance to the Gospel among our people is very great and no amount of identification with our people and culture, as important as this is, will be sufficient. "We must demonstrate the power of God in a Jewish context to the Jewish community at large! Would that there was as much of an emphasis on the need for us to be filled with the Spirit and empowered as there is on Jewish calling and authentic Jewish life in our Messianic Jewish movement! We must pray and seek the Lord for revival, and outpourings of the Spirit for every individual and for every community.

As we begin the new year of 2012 I want to take a moment to explain a few things to our subscribers about how to use Arrows from Zion and the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israel Ministries. 

 

The Arrows are meant for public distribution.  They are an intensely edited version reflecting the actual requests that are more detailed in the Weekly Summary.  Firstly, we want to put into your hands a brief arsenal of prayer points that truly reflects what we heard from a wide diversity of the Israeli ministries over the previous week.  Secondly, we want to strip out of the publicly distributed Arrows anything that could be compromising to the believers if it ended up in the hands of anti-missionaries.  We ask our subscribers NOT to distribute or forward the Weekly Summary for that reason.

If you are leading a prayer group in intercession for the Israeli ministries, please feel free to speak out the information in the Weekly Summary – but please do not distribute a hard copy in your prayer groups.  If someone would like to receive the Weekly Summary, they must email me and be vetted.  (israelprayerdotcom@gmail.com)

God bless all of you throughout the coming year of 2012.  God has called you to come alongside a vital work He is doing in the Spirit in the Land of Israel.  In many ways, even though the Israeli Messianic community is increasing in spirit and stature, it is also very much like King David spoke of his son, Solomon:  “David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the temple is not for man, but for the LORD God.”

The work of raising up the living temple of God that is going on in Israel is still a young, tender and vulnerable work that is so deserving and worthy of your prayer cover.  Thank you for hearing and heeding the call of God to intercede on the behalf of the Body of Messiah in Israel.

Priority Prayer Focus

These are the days of Elijah, Declaring the word of the Lord:

And these are the days of Your servant Moses, Righteousness being restored.
And though these are days of great trial, Of famine and darkness and sword,
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying, 'Prepare ye the way of the Lord!'

Arrows from Zion Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

This week, we have the usual exquisite mix of soaring spiritual highs and searing spiritual lows – truly as the Paul Wilbur Days of Elijah song we sing in Messianic congregations all around the world.  We are not afraid of the threat and not lulled by the spiritual highs because Yeshua is with us, and in us.  

We take up the admonition of the apostle Paul in Rom 12:12-15 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;  Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

Praise God for the powerful report of Revive Israel on its recent ministry time in the nation with the world’s largest Muslim population.  At a Christmas celebration in a stadium holding 200,000 native Christians in this eastern nation, a Messianic Jewish minister from Israel rejoiced to see those who gathered to praise God for the birth of Yeshua.  

Having seen many pictures from this gathering, which cannot be shared (“The immediate danger is not their being Christian but their connection with Jews from Israel.”), it was clearly a mighty stirring in the Spirit at this gathering.  Pray for the nations of the Far East who are entering into their due season in the purposes of God.  To read more on this, see Asher’s teaching, The Church of the East.  

There is a window opening in North Korea and soon in Thailand (Siam) whose king also appears to be on death’s doorstep, for the gospel to come in.  Pray for a breakthrough in evangelism in these areas and for them to enter into their places as watchmen on the wall for the full circle of the gospel as it returns to where it started – Israel.  Inside the Weekly Summary, Revive Israel offers great prayer points for coming into agreement with the heart of the LORD for the Korean and Thailand people.

From David Ortiz in Ariel we received an extremely sobering dream he had that we believe is important for the coming year.  Please open the Weekly Summary to read in full, but in gist, this is a word of warning for those believers who love Israel but avoid the Body of Messiah in Israel for their own personal interests.  See Dreadful Dream.

Some practical steps from David on how not to be one of the ones he saw in his Dreadful Dream:

-          Ps 122;6  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure”.

-          Pray for body of the Lord that lives in Israel.

-          Adopt a person, family or congregation in prayer.

-          Support businesses and buy things made by believers in Yeshua.

-          Request newsletters from credible ministries in Israel so you can stay informed.

-          Support the more than 120 Messianic Congregations which are spread from the Northernmost to the Southern-most part of the country.

-          Read your Bible, understand history, the economy, up to date events, understand disputes, facts about Israel, past present and future, know who are the Ethnic groups and religions that live here.

Each week Israelprayer brings prayer requests from Israeli ministries large and small.  For the smaller ministries, they are often doing critical ministry labors but without the outside funding and backing of larger ministries.  The Arrows from Zion and the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries is where you can find and connect with ministries like the Silveira’s in the Negev who last year lost a major source of their ministry support.  With the downturn of the economy, this is the story of several.  Pray for these precious laborers in the Lord’s harvest of Israel.  There are so many worthy of your prayers and support.

Pray for the vision God has given the Silveira’s for a 24/7 prayer and praise facility for the Negev.  Pray also for their new ministry outreach visiting prisoners.  

Pray also for the Beckford’s who carry a vision for a community center to host the needs of the believers of Arad.  Pray for Brian Slater feeding the needy in soup kitchens in Netanyah and Tel Aviv .  

Pray for Zev Porat a street evangelist declaring Salvation for Israel.  

Pray for Polly Sigulim, who Ark in the Negev is a refuge and discipleship for women in Arad.  

Pray for the Steckbeck’s ministering in places we can’t even mention.  

Pray for Orna Greeman and the Meyuseff’s ministering in Kfar Saba “to the widows and orphans”.   

Pray for several Arab brothers that we dare not share their names because they are ministering and evangelizing in Gaza and the West Bank.  

Pray for Pastor Najeeb and Ruth Nessim in Narhariya.

Pray for Pastor Hani in Acco. 

For Pastor Haddad and so many others!   

These are small ministries you may not have heard of but they are living sacrifices to the Lord’s harvest in the Promised Land.

From the congregation on Mt Carmel, David Davis writes about “The Day of the Locusts” a biblical plague which Davis applies to the waves of “ominous black cloud of lies” that Israel is in a continual battle with.  Read this spiritual viewpoint of current events which disputes the claims of even Christians that Israel is an “Apartheid State” or that it is practicing “Ethnic Cleansing.”  The truth is plain to see with any honest appraisal.

David Silver reviews the events of 2011 that made Israel a more dangerous place to live – YET he continually is urging for Jews to make aliyah.  Whatever the dangerous odds against Israel, David advises that when we see the world shaking apart, that is the time to look up as our redemption is drawing near. Zev ministers as the Lord leads him, one day in Tel Aviv, the next on the beach of Herzilya.  Pray for the people who are open to speak to those who are sharing Yeshua with their fellow Israelis.  Pray for the Bibles that are shared to become an open book to those who accept it and read. Pray that it will lead to scales falling from their eyes and acceptance of the Hope of Israel.

Urgent Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue

Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:  

Please pray for Lorena and son Kenneth who have celiac disease & cannot eat foods with gluten, also for son Bruchel who also has severe food allergies.

Pray for God’s complete healing of Meir, Bob, Fruma and Katya at Maoz Ministries, Sofie Benson in Carmel/House of Victory, Ariela in Arad and Brookie in the Galilee.  Tom, Nataly and Larissa who have all recently been diagnosed with cancer in Carmel

Pray for Kevin, an elder at Adonai Roi Messianic who has undergone gall bladder surgery and some complication with a hole in this stomach that doctors were slated to repair.  He has been in lots of pain.

Praying the Headlines

Pray for wisdom for Israeli leaders as Hamas and the PA have entered into an agreement that some Israelis believe represents a valid adjustment that could yield a ceasefire….but other Israelis point out the continued declaration of Hamas leaders is their “Goal is destruction of Israel in Stages.”  Pray for wisdom to prevail over wishful thinking.

Yet again the divide between the religious and secular in Israel is at a fever pitch with many of the Israeli newspapers discussing the increase of Haredi violence and conducting itself as a law unto itself.  We walk a fine line in this issue because we must recognize the reality of this ugly and even dangerous religious conduct – yet keep ourselves positioned to petition for their very souls to be snatched from the fire and transferred to the kingdom of Light.  Pray that these incidents will awaken many Christians who make the wrong assumption that religious unsaved Israel is righteous in its own right.  Pray for it to be a wake up call to connect with the true righteous remnant in Israel – the Body of Messiah.
