Last week we shared a special word from David Ortiz in Ariel, Dreadful Dream, that is the warning of an assignment from hell that has gone out against those declaring salvation to the Jewish people, and how some believers think themselves "safe" if they just keep out of the way, un-involved.

It is significant that this dream was given to David, whose youngest son
was miraculously spared death after opening a bomb rigged gift basket that had
been left at their doorstep by a religious anti-messianic zealot in 2008. The
family knows both the horror of being struck by demonic hatred, and also
ignored in their crisis by spiritual brothers ‘keeping neutral.’
David wrote of the dream, “I heard an announcement that was made from Hell, saying, “There is a sword that has been issued to cut down those that are declaring the message of salvation to the Jewish people that Yeshua is the Messiah. It should cut them down to pieces.”

In the same couple of days last week, we heard of similar dreams – some
credible, some not. We also heard of two
violent attacks on members of one Jerusalem congregation one week apart. A sword of hell against the Body of Messiah
in Israel is credible as evidenced in these two attacks.
We don’t share these things to be alarmist, but we do believe that it is
spiritual indication of increased warfare against the Body in Israel. Please make this our prayer priority for this

There are all kinds of prayers going up for Israel. We know of people who only want to pray for Israel by the Spirit with no personal knowledge of the issues. We know others who want to pray for Israel based on the opinions of traditional religious right-wing political view points. Our conviction is that the superior way to pray in agreement with God’s will for Israel is to align ourselves to hear what God is speaking to the saved Remnant, the Body of Messiah in Israel. Armed with this insider information, we may pray in the Spirit and with understanding.
Pray for an increase in those willing to break out of old patterns for praying for Israel and enter into a new level of contending for the salvation of Israel. Intrater of how “a flood of words” and twisted words are a mainstay weapon
of Satan to create division, mistrust and offense among the saints – even our
prayers can bombard heaven with a flood of accusation against a certain person
or body. Let us cut off word curses
from every direction they are flowing – even from our own lips.
It is not only the UN that mounts a war of lying words against Israel, but major religious leaders – even major respected names in the ministry in the United States – are also spinning out extreme lies against the Jewish State. Real atrocities are being perpetrated by Muslim extremism around the Middle East while Christian leaders meet in Bethlehem in Dec 2011 to define Israel as an “illegal regime” and a “crime against humanity.”
They also declared that the more neutral Churches are “accomplices in crimes against humanity” and attacks Christian Zionism as “a crime and sin as defying the core of the Gospel”. Pray that God will deliver these deceived souls! The fog of deception cleared away from the minds of Christians embracing lies of the enemies of God’s purposes. (When stuff like this stops offending you, check yourselves. You may be indifferent to the people that the whole Bible is filled with promises to save.)

There are 150+
Messianic congregations and many other home groups throughout the Land of
Israel with an estimated 15,000+ individual Messianic Jewish believers. One recent Facebook post showed the picture
of a smiling young man holding a card that said, “0.2%”. The post read, “I am an Israeli Jew who came to faith in
Yeshua. I am the 0.2%!” Pray for the
individuals in the Israeli Body of Messiah, who are the Temple of Living Stones
being raised up by Yeshua – and the laborers in His harvest field.
Pray for those ministries who go out into the highways and byways of Israel ministering to the people the LORD directs in their paths. Christian tourists to Israel see only a tiny glimpse of what life is like in the “Holy Land” – mostly the 5-star hotels and the ancient ruins. Where real Israelis live, this is a different world. Pray for those who are listening to the cry of their people, Israel, and answering with the good news of hope in Messiah.
There are many stresses in Israel – not the least of which is being the object of irrational demonic hatred all over the world! In a world without Yeshua, people cope with these kinds of pressure in a multitude of self-destructive lifestyles. Yet Yeshua said that He came for those that needed healing – those that were living unrighteous, not the pious. Pray for secular, unbelieving Israel to meet the Healer of men’s souls.
In northern Israel one ministry is in the final stages of completing a sales contract for a congregational building. All has been smooth sailing until now and pressure has come against the seller. The man consented to prayer from the believers. Stand in agreement with them for the completion of the deal at the early agreed price and also for healing for the seller – as a witness strengthening faith to believe on Yeshua.
In the Galilee one congregation is looking over the past year with grateful thanks for God’s goodness toward them. 29 people were immersed (baptized) this year, including a couple who are 87 years old! Pray for the elderly in Israel to open their hearts to reconcile with God through His Messiah Yeshua.
While two members of this congregation passed away in 2011, there were 12 babies born. Pray for this lively congregation – and for all the congregations of Israel – to increase in numbers and grace in 2012. Pray for their expansion needs to be met – for finances and the physical location to open up. They are “pressed down, and shaken together, and running over” as many Israeli congregations are. Pray that men would give into their bosom for the needs to be met, according to Luke 6:38.

Thank God for the healing and other miracles going on at this congregation. An unbeliever (the mother of a man who came to faith a few years ago) was healed of liver disease and gave her life to Yeshua. Later her daughter and her daughter’s family also came to faith as a result of the miracle. This man was the first in his family to know the Lord. Pray for the believers who are God’s seed of salvation planted in their families.
Psalm 91:7 and 13 says, “A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; [But] it shall not come near you…. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.” Thank God for the poisonous scorpion that fell from the leg of the youngest son of a Tiberius pastor. The next day the scorpion was finally found lurking inside the car and was literally trampled underfoot having harmed no one.
Psalm 102:16 says, “For the Lord will build up Zion and He shall be appear in His glory.” This is also the theme given by the Holy Spirit for the 11th annual intercessors prayer gathering that the Silver’s of Out of Zion ministries will be hosting in May. They noted that the word translated “appear” is in the Hebrew in fact, “visible.” This bears great witness, for as the LORD is building up Zion, He is VISIBLE in the glory that His people are carrying within themselves. It is the glory of the LORD on His servants in Israel that is drawing unbelieving Israelis to the faith in Messiah.
Pray for all of the Israeli Messianic tours, conferences and other
gatherings that will take place in Israel this year. That God will bring about a new level of
commitment to the Body in Israel – and an awakening in the churches AND the
messianic congregations of how crucially key the Body of Messiah in Israel is on
every spiritual level.

been diagnosed with cancer in Carmel
Pray for Kevin, an elder at Adonai Roi Messianic who has undergone gall
bladder surgery and some complication with a hole in this stomach that doctors
were slated to repair. He has been in
lots of pain.
Please pray for Lorena Silveira (Ha-Makom) and her and Eduardo’s son, Kenneth, who have celiac disease & cannot eat foods with gluten, also for son Bruchel who also has severe food allergies.

Israelprayer: A personal update on our grandson Karl who just marked the one year anniversary of a car crash that caused Severe Traumatic Brain Injury with Diffuse Axona Injury. Karl has come a long way since he landed in the SICU. One indication of just how far is that when he and his parents went back on the 1-year anniversary to the SICU ward and saw many of the nurses who attended Karl in the early weeks last year, several of the nurses cried when they saw him. The odds of Karl ever waking out of the coma, or when he did, ever being more than alive in a vegetative state were extremely grim. BUT GOD and the prayers of the saints on this mailing list who fought with us for Karl’s life to be spared. In no small measure, our previous experience with the miracles that God worked in restoring Ami Ortiz from impossible injuries buoyed our faith for Karl.
Thank you, one and all for prayers that have granted life and a second change to our grandson. Karl is not 100% restored. He still walks with a shuffle that is distinct to brain injuries – but he is improving steadily over the past year. He still has short term memory problems, but his wit has returned. Every time we see him there is improvement although a new issue – that of his frustration because he is not fully restored. He wants to get a job and has been saying since he was in the hospital to this day that he wants a job where he can help people, maybe in rehab like he has gone through. He has awakened with a God consciousness and is always saying God spared him for a purpose. This is a testimony to the goodness of God, and the power of your prayers to make life-saving differences.
On the morning we received news that Karl was in intensive care and no one knew if he would survive, just minutes before I had written on Facebook: “Today I woke with no voice, my throat is sore and closed because of flu. It spoke to me of Prov 31:8-9 "Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all "sons passing away". Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy."
We are voices, one for another.

The Messianic Jewish Movement and its Greatest Need Immersion in the
Holy Spirit

Early Pentecostalism is associated the immersion in the Spirit with
power for witnessing or sharing the Good News. Acts 1:8 makes this connection
clear. "You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit comes on you, and
you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to
the ends of the earth."
....It is important that we
Messianic Jews embrace the full import of this. The resistance to the Gospel
among our people is very great and no amount of identification with our people
and culture, as important as this is, will be sufficient. "We must
demonstrate the power of God in a Jewish context to the Jewish community at
large! Would that there was as much of an emphasis on the need for us to be
filled with the Spirit and empowered as there is on Jewish calling and
authentic Jewish life in our Messianic Jewish movement! We must pray and seek the
Lord for revival, and outpourings of the Spirit for every individual and for
every community.
