Priority Prayer Focus Aug 12, 2015

"And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence, while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Yeshua."  And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.  Acts 4:29-31

"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the LORD; because they have called you an outcast, saying, It is Zion, whom no man seeks after." Jeremiah 17:30

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue

Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs.

Moving this to the top prayer priority because I am seeing a widespread enemy attack on the health of those who are laboring in the Israeli-related ministries.  Please make this an ongoing prayer priority until the health attacks are rolled back. 

It is written that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the congregation of the LORD! 
         Eddie Santoro, a beloved pastor of the Ahavat Yeshua congregation in Jerusalem, underwent brain surgery for a tumor on Tuesday. Eddie wrote, " Please pray that there will be no damage to my brain, no bleeding and no infection." Pray for his complete and 100% healing and recovery - that cancer will not arise again! (See joyful update below!)

         Elana Cantor wife of Ron Cantor of Tiferet Yeshua in Tel Aviv was injured in an auto accident 2 weeks ago in the US. Now in Israel she is still suffering much pain from ruptured discs sending her back to hospital with pain & numbness.  Please pray for her as she sees a spinal specialist in next few days.
         Michael Enos is not an Israeli ministry, but is a critical support player in communications of the ministries. Last fall Michael suffered a stroke, now doctors are trying to get to the cause of continuing health issues - attempting to rule out Lou Gehrig's Disease but leaning toward an MS diagnosis. Michael likes to fly under the radar, but is desperate for prayer agreement. Please pray for him, and for other unnamed key support people in Israeli ministry-related service suffering acute, serious health issues.
         Jacob Damkani also had emergency surgery for an aneurysm and is steadily improving in recovery.  Please pray his recovery is completed, too.
         Thankfully, Brian Slater, was released from the hospital after getting an initial alarm from a cardiologist who sent him to the hospital with a pacemaker being discussed. After further testing (and the prayers of the saints), Brian was release with an all clear.

          Moshe Morrison, treasured elder statesman of Messianic Judaism and founding elder of Tents of Mercy has been dealing with excruciating back pain due to a sciatica nerve problem.  I am asking for concentrated intercession to free Moshe from this debilitating condition

           Marc Chopinsky is one of the true fathers of Messianic praise and worship and our worship overseer at Tents of Mercy.  For the last number of months Marc has suffered from a prostate ailment that recently received surgical treatment.  His recovery and the full recovery of his vital functions has been incomplete and he is still in discomfort.  Please pray for full health recovery.
            Nastya, the 16 year old girl in the Acco Harvest of Asher congregation is diagnosed with leukemia, has begun treatment. Please continue to pray for her.  Also from Guy Cohen's congregation, pray for Irena in the hospital with a condition of the auto immune system. Pray for her physical healing and God's direction for her life.
            Ruth Nessim of the Nahariya Fellowship: Ruth is being treated for Lymphoma biologically. Still it will need months of hospital visits and treatments, and patience, so I would value your prayers.
            Please pray for one of the forefathers of the Messianic movement who shall remain nameless, as his health continues to deteriorate.  And for his wife and family, that his wife receives the help she needs to care for him as he is less able.

Arrows from Zion Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

One of the signs of God's intentions to restore Israel to her spiritual inheritance through Messiah Yeshua is the sign of healings among the Israeli Body of the Lord - healing for them and signs of healing performed through the preaching of God's Word.  This, like the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts 4, are the signs that God is surely fulfilling the Word of the Lord to Jeremiah quoted above. 

It is my sense that so many Israeli and Israeli-related ministries are being attacked in health because the gates of hell are challenging our faith to fall in unbelief of the promises God has made regarding Israel's restoration.  But Yeshua, traveling up the valley toward the geographic location of "the gates of hell" on a cliff ledge of Mt. Hermon, said that the gates of hell would NOT prevail against the congregation that He builds.  That ekklesia in Israel are the believers, who are being built up by the believers of Israel. Let our faith and prayers rise for God to fulfill in our day the same prayer uttered on Pentecost - for the saints to preach with boldness the Word of God and for God to stretch forth His hand with healing as a sign.

We give thanks for the great post-op report of Eddie Santoro who thanks everyone for the fervent prayers made for him.  First reports out of Israel late Tuesday said : "Tears keep welling up in his eyes as he says thank you to everyone. He says, 'I love you. I love everyone!' He said he's never felt so much love in his heart."

A large tumor was removed and Eddie is now recuperating and progressing very well.  Please continue to pray for no post op complications and for this not to rise a second time (see more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary)

YOUTH CAMPS IN PROGRESS Right now the Katzir summer gathering led by Eitan Shishkoff of Tents of Mercy, is in its first few of a 7-day retreat for youth from all over Israel.  Please read more about this event which seeks to spiritually build up the kids of believing families with this twice a year gatherings.  You can get insight and specific prayer points inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary and please be aware that all streams of faith in Yeshua in Israel host similar events for kids and youth.  All would appreciate your prayers since many of believing kids are the only believing kids in the schools they attend.  These are times that really let them see they are not alone!

David Davis of the Carmel Assembly writes about 3 Domes pertinent to Israel right now:  A Heat Dome, Iron Dome, and Prayer Dome.  Did you hear that Iran is being blasted with a heat index of 164° ? The whole area is suffering incredibly in Syria, Jordan and Israel.  David passed along news that 50 refugee children had died from the unbearable heat and asked for prayers for a "multiplication of humanitarian aid and gospel outreaches to our suffering Arab neighbors. We are asking the Lord to send “streams in the desert” (Isaiah 35:6).

The second Dome Davis writes about is the Iron Dome which is the IDF missile defense system being installed on Israel's northern borders as the IRAN DEAL enables Iranian economic funding of terrorist threats like Hezballah.  And lastly, the Prayer Dome that we have the privilege to form with Yeshua as we pray His will over Israel and the Middle East.  Read in full inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

In the Beer Sheva congregation of Howard Bass there are also special meetings for teens going on during summer vacation.  At this writing the special meeting was to discuss homosexuality, "a growing topic everywhere," Bass writes, "and Israel is no exception."  After the religious man stabbed and murdered several people walking in a Gay Pride march in Jerusalem last week, Howard writes that a couple of people in the congregation are struggling with the issue personally, and others don't know quite what to make of the questions the attack brought up.  It is up to spiritual leadership always to point the people back to God's standards.

Continuing Bass notes this insightful fact about Hebrew, "It's interesting to note that the word in Hebrew for both pride and 'gay' is the same, and it denotes pride! This is exactly the beginning of the downward moral behavior that brings God's righteous judgment, as was the case of Sodom and Gomorrah. Bass also brings attention that the LCEJ (Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism) will hold its next international conference in Jerusalem next week. I have been asked to be on a panel with David and Leah Ortiz to discuss "How do we deal with opposition/persecution today? What lessons we can learn?" Both the Ortiz family and the Bass congregation have been targets of religious persecution over the years. 

Israel Pochtar's congregation (as well as some others) are gearing up to do Back-to-School hmanitarian outreach by distributing school supplies to needy families among poverty-stricken believers, Jewish immigrant families from Ukraine and children of single mothers.  They hope to be able to bless about 300 children between the ages of 6-13 and you can help by sponsoring a child.  Find out more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Also Maoz notes, " Because of the work Maoz is doing in Israel, we know the enemy is not happy. It’s no surprise, therefore, that we have been experiencing spiritual attacks here at the Israeli offices. . . . Every mountain we face, we have a choice – to turn around and seek another path, or begin climbing with confidence that God will bring us through just as He promised.  We can give up, or we can take on the opportunity to grow and excel, and in the process discover new strengths and rise up to new heights in our walk with our Savior. Whichever mountain you face today, know that we are praying for you.  May God grant you (and all of us!) courage and the spirit of David, to run towards our giants with little pebbles in our hands, being sure that the battle is His, and we, in Him, will emerge victorious on the other side."

David Lazarus also writes about Giants in the Land...the discovery of the "giant-sized entrance gate of the biblical city of Gath of the Philistines, home of Goliath [that] was uncovered this week in Israel."  Lazarus also writes that, "Goliath had four giant brothers called "Lord's of the Philistines" in Joshua 13:3. When David goes out to fight Goliath he knows that killing the giant will bring on his oversized brothers. Indeed, the other four Philistine giants do eventually show up in II Samuel 21:22, thankfully only to be defeated by David and his men." 

Selah! When we take down one giant, we need to stay alert for the giants brothers to come too!  It's a great spiritual lesson and a great archeological find by Israeli team from Bar Ilan University - pretty strong evidence that the Bible talk of giants is not 'proof' that the Bible is mere myths.  Read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Shlomy and Miriam Abramov send us this update from their Awake Israel Ministries and their Jospeh Center humanitarian aid.  They are distributing charity boxes and reaching out to the sick in their community.  Miriam writes, "We are able to freely give testimony booklets of salvation through Christ alone throughout the land wherever we go.  Shlomy's booklet in Hebrew in advancing in hearts. Everyone from gas station attendees to waiters get a copy." (Shlomy was one of Ariel Sharon's bodyguards back in the day) 

And now we come full circle to the report from Avi Mizrachi, whom we asked you to pray for several weeks ago when he suffered from a gallbladder attack and have to undergo gallbladder surgery. (When Miriam Abramov that the same surgery last summer, due to mistakes in the hospital she nearly died from the operation!).  Also from the special mailings from Arrows from Zion since I sent out the regular mailing last Wednesday, we have good reports back from Brian Slater who was released from the hospital without needing a pacemaker, and also successful surgery for Jacob Damkani after he suffered an aneurysm while swimming in the Mediterranean.  All of these ministry leaders in Israel are doing better and appreciate all the prayers that were lifted up before the Lord  for them.

From Avi's report which you can read inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary Avi talks about being able to minister to a new roommate each of the 7 days he was in the hospital.  I love that over the years when one of the ministry leaders has ended up hospitalized, their testimony includes all the people that they ministered to while there.  It is not a rare story, it is the wonderful testimony I have heard repeatedly over the years.  Praise the Lord, even sick enough to be hospitalized these ministers are dangerous to the devil! 

Thank you for your prayers of love for the Body of Messiah in Israel.  It is an investment in them and in the blessing of the whole Body of Christ in the nations as God's mysterious plan continues to unfold before our eyes in Israel through these Living Stones.

ISRAELI ARCHAEOLOGISTS UNCOVER CITY GATE IN GOLIATH'S HOMETOWN:

8-5-15: Archaeologists at Bar-Ilan University have discovered the fortifications and entrance gate to the biblical city of Gath, which was once the home of the giant Goliath. Excavations of the ancient city of Gath, which was the largest city in the land during the 10-19th century BC, are being conducted in the Tel Zafit national park, located between Jerusalem and Ashkelon. The city was destroyed in 830 BC by Hazael, the king of Damascus.

The gate is among the largest ever found in Israel and provides substantial evidence that Gath was once one of the most influential cities in the region. In addition to the gate, an impressive fortification wall was discovered as well as various buildings which serviced the city, including a temple and an iron production facility. (Jerusalem Post)

Perhaps this is a timely discovery to remind Israel, as she faces modern day bullies such as Iran that God has always been in the business of defeating giants with a handful of stones - or other murderous foes with a few local Israeli heroes - both men and women.
