Summer-time, and the livin' is
...BUSY! Often in the summer we experience less prayer
letters rolling in each week than usual.
This is because not only are the ministries involved in a great many
outreaches at home - including all the children's and youth summer camps - but
this is also the time that many of the ministries go outside of Israel to speak
at churches, messianic congregations and conferences. Not only are they ministering to the Church and spreading the good news about the
Body of Messiah being raised up in Israel for Israel's salvation, but they are also raising funds for their
ministries to advance in the year ahead.
Now that is a BIG CLUE how we may pray to support the Living Stones
of Israel throughout the summer months!
In the meantime, we have room for good teaching words like the timely message from Guy Cohen, who leads the Harvest of Asher congregation in Akko. Cohen writes about the key necessity of perseverance while trusting God's promises of the nation of Israel returning truly to God in Messiah. Daniel had to persevere and so did Jeremiah; so too are those who are laboring in the harvest fields of Israel today.

Cohen writes, " Those
called to prayer, worship and intercession here at Harvest of Asher and in the
nations for Acco are gatekeepers to the northwest entry point of Israel. There
are times when gatekeepers grow weary and tired at the watch. We get
discouraged and wonder if there isn't someone who can take our place but most
often there is not. Then there are those times when we feel alone and it looks
like we are going backwards instead of forward.
Our hope and strength are in the promises of God and when we become
weary we remind ourselves of all that He has done. We remember the more than
one hundred babies that were not aborted, the humanitarian aid projects, those
who have made aliyah, the investment made in the lives of many children and
youth, those seasons when the congregation has grown and the times of worship
and intercession. "
Lift up the arms of the weary in prayer. Israel can be an extremely draining place,
which is yet another reason that God has purposed the believers of the nations
to come alongside the Body in Israel to give refreshing.
Mazal Tov to Guy Cohen for completing his M.A. in Pastoral Ministry this month. And Mazal Tov to ALL of the graduates, like Howard Bass who writes of the graduation of the Israel College of the Bible ceremonies held in Netanya last week which awarded many certificates and degrees. " The highlight of the graduation evening was the presentation to those of us who participated in the first ever Master's Degree Program for Pastoral Ministries. This challenging and pioneering program brought primarily Jewish and Arab pastors together, having to overcome some fears and prejudices and political pressures on both sides."
Bass continues, " Much prayer was poured out by the ICB leadership and staff that God would watch over this work of faith to prosper it. And He did so go beyond everyone's expectations! The love and unity among us, despite coming from different people and 'camps' and also from different streams of the body even within our own groups, has been the most memorable legacy of the year, along with the excellent teaching and equipping that the teachers provided and imparted to us. ... the Lord gave the teachers, especially those who formulated the program -- Dr. Erez Soref, President of ICB; Dr. Seth Postell, Academic Dean; Thomas Damianos; and Noam Hendren -- much grace and wisdom in serving with love, their leadership, and their expertise. PRAISE THE LORD! It was a very special year, closed by a very special evening, which also celebrated the college's 25th anniversary."

Randi and Howard depart today for Zambia and
the Democratic Republic of Congo (Congo Kinshasha) at the beginning of July for
three weeks. We will be teaching and
encouraging the brothers and sisters there in their lives and testimonies among
their own countrymen. Also, teaching
about the importance of Israel to them and to their nations, and also against
the dowry system that is so culturally entrenched, but is not the culture of
the Kingdom of God. (This last subject
is by request of the host pastor in Zambia, an issue that we have spoken about
together in the past.) Pray for their
travels and inspired sharing.
Evan Thomas and Lev, his ministry associate at
Beit Asaph, were also among the Israel College of the Bible graduates. Mazal
tov! Evan starts his prayer letter with
this: "Things are relatively quiet on the security front though the
‘ISIS storm clouds’ continue to roll round us. Because of their minority status
both in Israel and the West Bank, Palestinian Christians are notably nervous as
they are increasingly exposed to hateful and incendiary rhetoric within the
local community. Please keep our Arab brothers and sisters in your prayers
(approximately 30 evangelical congregations in Israel and another 10 or so in
the West Bank)."
Israelprayer notes, however, that as we are
compiling the Arrows from Zion, we
are getting in news alert emails from Israel that the Israeli Shin Bet (like
the U.S. FBI) has foiled an attempt by Hamas to overthrow the Palestinian
Authority government in Judea and Samaria.
In the Beit Asaph congregation, Evan reports
that they had over 20 adults in their Orientation evening for new members. Their youth have a new outreach with weekly
football matches that "is a big hit and drawing significant numbers of
local not-yet-believing youth."
They ask for prayers over this initiative. They also have a new home group forming in
the nearby city of Hadera. They write,
"it is precious to see initiative, motivation and commitment in our young
families and we honor the Lord for it. So many things to ask you to support us
in prayerfully…" Including the bar
and bat mitzvahs that "create a healthy interface between the
not-yet-believing community and our Messianic congregation. As guests join us
for the services; the feedback we receive is almost always positive!"
Finally:
"Ministry among our womenfolk at Beit Asaph is bearing good
fruit- we have been enjoying regular monthly seminars on key topics and we
always have a handful of not-yet-believing women attracted to and attending our
gatherings. We have a request for very
practical prayer regarding financial support for our women’s coordinator.
Presently, we have a significant shortfall in income and will unfortunately
have to reduce her hours until the situation improves."
The Yuval Messianic Worship Center for Music
and the Arts has a goal to qualify a generation of talented believers to use
their gifts given by God to build God's kingdom and the Body of Yeshua in the
land of Israel. They share highlights
from the past several months including a recent recital; a master class taught
by violinist Maurice Sklar; Purim performances by the students; a performance
at the annual Shavuot conference at Yad Hashmona for the believers from all
over Israel; a song writers seminar; and lot of "practice, practice, practice!" Here is a 2-minute Yuval-clip
There are many ways you can support this
effort in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv from prayer support to financial support of a
student, staff or even utilities. The
music and arts school are currently teaching over 150 students and they say any
support you give will be of value and help to them. See more inside

Our friend Martin Sarvis in Jerusalem files a
report on the Vatican recognition of the "state of Palestine" which
constitutes official recognition and "diplomatic relations will now be
seen as existing between the Vatican and the State of Palestine." Sarvis explains why this was a grave mistake
on the part of the Roman Catholic Church.

Sarvis also writes about The Violence Attending this Year's Ramadan " This week,
menacing flyers appeared on the streets of East Jerusalem. Printed in Arabic, they bore the ISIS emblem
and took their aim particularly at Christians. They called upon like-minded
zealots to provide addresses for “those who collaborate with the Zionists”, and
delivered the following warning:
Those who work with the Zionists also encourage Muslims to leave their religion and become more secular and open, and they spread evil. They take these Muslims away from us… We know where they are, but we need help to find them all — all those Christian collaborators… ISIS soldiers will work to kill these people so this country is clean of them and… will clean this country and the Muslim Quarter from these Christians during this holy Ramadan… Because the Christians violated the Pact of Omar [made when Muslims conquered Jerusalem], we will do this. So we tell our Christians and the nonbelievers: Go away now or you will be killed when the Id is near [Id al Fitr is a festival ending Ramadan] and you will be slaughtered like the sheep. Israel has already seen an uptick of terror
attacks, as well as Tunisia, Kuwait City and southern France. This morning
Americans awoke to the news that the US has set up 50 command posts across the
United States to deal with expected terror attacks over the 4th of July
American Independence celebration. This
unprecedented move is an alarming wake up call to how seriously national
security authorities view the threat.
Sarvis includes prayer points (inside
the Weekly Summary) for
interceding especially for vulnerable Israel - the favorite target of Islamic
terrorists, as well as this prayer by Rick Ridings that can surely be prayed
over all the nations where the evil of Ramadan Islamic terrorism make strike:
O Lord, today and every day, according to the
measure of Your infinite mercy and grace:
May Your hedge of protection be around us, the
blood of Yeshua be over us, the whole armor of God be upon us, and as our days
so shall our strength be.
Please cleanse us of any sin, unrighteousness,
iniquity, idolatry, deception, or denial.
I pray that no weapon formed against us shall
prosper or succeed: no witchcraft, no curses, no judgments, no evil-speaking,
no demonic assignment, and no “snare of the fowler”.
Please protect us today from confusion,
harassment, and division. Protect us
from spiritual, mental, emotional, or physical fatigue, injury, or illness.
I pray that no evil or unwise counsel of the
world, the flesh, or the devil will prevail against us.
Thank you for protecting us today spiritually,
mentally, physically, emotionally, in our finances, and our relationships.
May Your Holy Spirit, holy Word, and holy
angels be released to us to help us walk humbly with You in faith, hope, love,
holiness, justice, wisdom, and the fear of the Lord.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the
tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli
believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:
Ruth of the Nahariya Fellowship whose biopsy has determined malignant Lymphoma, cancer of the Lymphatic System. Ruth must undergo several months of treatment starting June 29th. Ruth - as ever - is very upbeat but also says she "will need your prayers!"
Please pray for one of the forefathers of the Messianic movement who shall remain nameless, as his health continues to deteriorate. And for his wife and family, that his wife receives the help she needs to care for him as he is less able.
Ron Cantor requests prayer for his mother in law whose back surgery was postponed as doctors discovered she heart surgery first. She is preparing to get a pacemaker very soon and at 70 years old, any surgery is quite overwhelming emotionally. Pray for peace, and for perfect surgeries to extend her life and comfort.
Praying the Headlines
The first wave of French Jews immigrating to Israel arrived this
week. There were 130 with an expected
3,000 to arrive by the end of the summer.
Pray for the immigrants fleeing from increased persecution in Europe.
KehilaNews.com sends this open letter plea to the Israeli government and
people, "Let Messianic Jews Make Aliyah to Israel". With anti-Semitism on the rise in the
nations, how just is it to deny Messianic Jews the right of return? Read at Kehila

softening hearts in Israel on this issue.
