First of all, I would like to thank several of the Israeli ministries who have called for prayers for the US election process that is now officially kicked off with the citizens of the first state to weigh in on which of the candidates running should be the eventual Republican and Democrat nominee. As Asher Intrater said in a Facebook video before the Iowa caucuses, the US elections are critical to Israel, and also all the nations. Thank you for praying as we continue to choose our next leader. This is especially critical because we have seen great setbacks in the leadership of both Canada and Australia in their last elections. 

We are crying out in the USA for MORE TIME! A godly, conservative with integrity and conscience before God and man would give us more time.

Eddie Santoro of Ahavat (Love of) Yeshua congregation in Jerusalem calls us to stand in the gap fervently for the terrorist violence that has plagued Israel over these past many weeks from individual violent attacks murdering or severely wounding many Israelis.  It is truly a terror to never know if the person standing in front of you on the street is about to pull out a knife to stab you with, or creeping into your own house to take your life as your young children watch. 

What's more, the international community is giving legitimacy to these murderous terror attacks by blaming Israel's "settlement policy".  Those lies are baffling Israelis who have lived with terrorist violence since the foundation of Israel in 1948.  But it doesn't get easier to accept. Far from it. Santoro writes:

"We are calling on you to first and foremost be in prayer over the ongoing attacks in this nation. Pray with us that the powers that are encouraging its people to commit these attacks will be broken and defeated. Pray that Israel would have wisdom and successful strategy as they respond  and that peace and quiet would return to this nation for a long season. And please pray for the many wounded victims and the mourning families that have lost loved ones. And of course pray against the spirit of anti-semitism that causes so many nations of the earth to condemn Israel as it takes a stand against terror.   Together as we call on our Lord and God who loves Israel and has promised to protect and watch over it, we will see victory prevail. "

Rachel Netanel whose personal evangelism is powerfully anointed, writes about an invitation she recently accepted to speak in Russia at several events, including one in a city that the head Rabbi attended along with the Minister of Religion, and several key local pastors, university heads and local musicians.  Warned not to mention Yeshua, Rachel instead obeyed the Voice Spirit during the event telling her to talk about her faith as a Messianic Jew in israel - including the fact that although she was a secular Jew prior to faith, "I came from a very religious family directly descending from Rabbi El Kabbetz who wrote the Jewish Sedur (prayer book)."  That admission widened some eyes... and the Spirit opened some hearts.  Read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary as these things must be protected from public forums.

From KehilaNews.com is an interview with Ygal Gitelman on Messianic Multimedia in Israel.  Gitelman says, "I saw what Messianic organizations were being forced to pay for a quality sound system here in Israel, and it was ridiculous.” So he decided to do something about it.

Over the past many years several Israeli ministries have been building relationships with Far East believers.  One of those is Ari Sorko-Ram who has been establishing ties with believers in China.  The ministry writes that their Chinese rep is in Israel and asks prayers for their meetings - clear direction and implementation of organizational structures as well as strong connections between China and Israel.

THE STORY OF THE STRUMA AGAIN RESURFACES…WITH ITS WARNING.

An obituary appeared in the Jan. 23rd edition of the New York Times—strangely, it was for a man who had actually died almost two years before in 2014.  He passed away in relative obscurity, his death in Oregon at 91 arousing so little attention that the Times only became aware of it in late January of this year. The man’s name was David Stoliar.  He was sole survivor of the worst civilian sea catastrophe of World War II.  That catastrophe, now virtually forgotten, was also infamous as one of the more appalling outrages against Jews of that war—an outrage shared equally by a western ally and a “neutral” nation, as well as the Nazis.

Donna & Tony Diorio 

I was a little surprised by the response I got last month when I posted this Christmas photo of my husband, Tony and me taken on Christmas Day. Some were happy that it showed that I was under the authority of my husband, which was a surprise reaction I didn't expect. So before I change this photo again, because I surely will, I just want to reassure everyone that Tony is my marriage partner and we are indeed living in the full covenant of marriage that the God's Word describes as faithful.  Tony is not my ministry partner however, which is why I have never felt led to make my identifying photo a couple photo.  I just liked the sweetness of the picture captured by one of Tony's daughters this Christmas.  At any rate, when I change this photo, it will likely be because I have a new haircut... nothing deeper than that! :-)
