Please continue to pray for those among the leadership in connection with Messianic Israel ministries especially for serious health conditions, and many 'mystery' illnesses that doctors are not being successful in diagnosing (which are nonetheless debilitating).  Please pray that God would arise on the behalf of His servants and that sickness would flee!

This week we were not able to access the Israel Prayer email or mailing list due to provider issues that have now been resolved.  Better late than never.  Thanks for your patience!

To kick things off we have a personal update from Eddie Santoro, the Jerusalem congregational leader we've been praying for through surgery for a malignant brain tumor, and now for the 48 consecutive days of chemo and radiation treatments he is halfway through.  Thank you for your prayers! And thank you ABBA for covering Eddie and his wife Jackie with Your loving protection.  Eddie asks, "Please pray that I would continue to pass through the next few weeks with no negative effects in my body. And of course continue to pray and declare God's complete healing. He has destroyed the works of the enemy and by His stripes I am healed."

Please keep praying saints, for Eddie and all the other leaders we have listed in our Urgent Healing Prayer section.   When Peter was sprung from prison in Acts 12, the saints were gathered praying fervently for him.  Serious illness is a kind of prison that keeps us from being able to do the work of the Lord.  Pray for God's servants to be set free from the prisons of these illnesses by His mighty power.

Arni Klein of Emmaus Way in the Galilee writes about the leap in escalation of the terror knifings that are being fanned by lies over the Temple Mount (Al Aksa Mosque).  As Arni observes, "Naturally speaking, the attacks are virtually unstoppable.  No place is safe and no sector of the Arab population could be considered as beyond concern.  Aside from literally committing one’s steps and life into the hands of God, no Jewish Israeli citizen can go anywhere without continually looking over his or her shoulder."

"Encountering an extreme bias in the media is not new," Arni writes, "However, the current level of twisted speech, while the true facts are known, is shocking. . . . We say it, but we really need to get it:  the world is aligned against Israel.  The reality of this fact will be increasingly evident as time goes on.  Though we might fully believe it, we can tell you from our own experience that when it touches our personal life, we will be shaken.  The question is, how long will it take us to recalibrate our inner landscape and get back on our feet?"

"The strategy of incitement and lies over the course of decades has succeeded in planting a hatred of Israel in the very bones and marrow of the so-called Palestinians. Their despair is such that they have nothing to lose by giving their lives for a promise of freedom, self-determination, and heavenly rewards. . . . In our conflict with the so-called Palestinians, the real enemy is in an office speaking lies and designing scenarios to turn common people just like us into weapons of even their own destruction.  We must pray for our enemies in the spirit of Yeshua’s cry from the midst of his crucifixion, “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”  (Lk.23:34)

Continuing, "The Jerusalem Post released a video of an event that occurred in the Old City.  Three Israeli border police approached an Arab man and asked to see his identification.  Surrounded by about twelve Israeli policemen, the man pulled a knife and attempted to stab one of the officers.  With no logical hope of either success or escape, such a thing can only be done by demonic instigation.  A suspiciously-acting woman at the Tomb of the Patriarchs, when asked for identification, took out a knife and tried to stab police.  These are not rational actions.  They are supernatural."

Arni writes, "Rick Ridings of Succat Hallel in Jerusalem received a vision a year ago of a dragon on the Temple Mount spewing out lies and filth. . . ." The word of the Lord given then was, “Not now.”  We have independently also had the sense that it is not yet time for the fullness of this evil to be released.  The Spirit of God is yet striving with His Body to prepare us to confront the depth of darkness which will soon be released.  As uncomfortable as it is, it is very much a function of God’s mercy and grace.  It is a serious wake-up call. . . . As you would agree with us in prayer for the enemy to be bound and gagged until the appointed time, please also pray that the Body in the Land and the nations would redeem the time God would grant us"

Calev Meyers of the Jerusalem Institute of Justice applauds the US House of Representatives Appropriations Committee, made this past weekend, to freeze 370 million dollars earmarked by the State Department as a donation to the Palestinian Authority "until such time" as the Palestinian Authority proves that it is "fighting terror and incitement to violence".  To learn why he says such a thing, watch VIDEO: The Israeli Palestinian Conflict: 10 Myths Preventing Peace

David Lazarus of Beit Immanuel in Jaffa asks the question, Should Jews Help Syrian Refugees?  He relates the account of one Israeli Jew, Shoshani, who documented Israeli humanitarian efforts via IrsAID as the Turkey govt shirks the responsibility setting the refugees of the Syrian war to sea in rubber rafts toward the Greek island of Lesbos. . . . Shoshani is making an appeal to the Messianic Jewish community in Israel to consider offering support in the efforts to help the beached Syrian refugees. Syria remains one of Israel's most lethal enemies and given the deep seated hatred and numerous all-out wars of the Syrian army to destroy Israel one could hardly imagine a greater fulfillment of the commandment to give ones enemy a cup of water when he is thirsty. . . . It reminds me of the story of Jonah who also did not want to go up to Nineveh in Syria and bring the Good News to Israel's enemies. He ended up in the belly of a huge fish on the bottom of the sea. Better change my attitude before I'm sunk too!"

Ronit Bender in Carmel shares about her busy life of personal ministry in the Land of Israel - in her northern Israeli community, on the mean streets of Tel Aviv and also in times of refreshing at spiritual gatherings in Jerusalem. One especially poignant story Ronit tells of visiting her "wicked stepmother" who suffer Alzheimer's and lives in a nursing home. Despite their volatile past, God gave the stepmother a moment of lucidity. 

Ronit writes, "The Lord has given me a great love for her now, and she lifted her eyes to me saying 'Ronit, and Tom, he was a wonderful husband to you', by that stage I was sobbing, right there among all the others in the visiting area. It was a real God moment, as she held my hands and said 'I love you, so happy you came to see me' and then returned to that other world she lives in now. Please pray for her salvation."

Eitan Shishkoff, whose book, What About Us? is being translated into so many different languages it is mind-boggling, is taking that message that so many Christians in the nation ask as they are confronted with the fact that God has returned to Israel, in the redemption of Jews by faith in Yeshua/Jesus.  Probably the number one Christian concern I have encountered since joining the Messianic movement is: If God is focused on Jews now, what does that make all of us Christians? Chopped Liver?!  No! and Eitan's book explains what God's heart for Jews and Gentile believers is in the matter.  Currently Shishkoff is in Singapore and the Philippines, and asks prayers on his mission there.  Inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary you will also find a praise report from his recent time in Greece.

Evan Levine of the HaTikva Project says that the new wave of terror attacks is hitting really close to home - 7 attacks occurring along his morning commute in the last three weeks.  Imagine that being the reality of your own morning commute!  Pray as all Israel is being shaken by the new reality of up close and personal terror.  Evan has also been suffering from some mystery illness that ER doctors have not been able to diagnose. Pray for revealing and healing!

Revive Israel gives a report on their team ministering in Munich at a global gathering - at the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII.  Ariel Blumenthal writes, "God judges the sins of a nation for this period of time, but then it comes time for history and His plans to move forward."  The event was held in the historic site of the 1972 Munich Olympics:  "...we declared that the time has come for the Germans to walk forward without the shackles of the past binding them; and that we as Jews must no longer stand as we do every year on Holocaust remembrance, declaring: "we will never forgive, never forget." 

Ariel continues, "We are not talking about Holocaust denial or about shutting down Yad V'shem—we are talking about a change in the dynamic of the relationship between Germany and Israel, one which demands that the sin, suffering and unforgiveness of the past must no longer define who we are as peoples, as nations.  We go forward together, in Messiah!"  This is the gospel, after all.

Also from Revive:  The Eighth day of Sukkot  | VIDEO | In this message Asher shares on the unified theme of scripture and the messianic meaning of the Jewish holidays.  Asher is currently speaking at the international AGLOW conference in Indianapolis.  Pray for him and this might army of prayer warriors from Aglow.

Eric Benson of the House of Victory addictions rehab under the Carmel Assembly in Haifa writes about the answer to his fervent prayers for workers in the ministry.  Finally, the Lord provided "two chosen brothers" in the Lord who "are proving to be a great blessing, and faithful servants."  I say it often here, because it is so true - it takes a special anointing to work in the ministry to drug and alcohol addicted people.  They are people living at the bottom of society's barrel, and it is a hardening experience - as is addiction itself.  Please pray for this ministry and all those who labor among these lost sheep of Israel. Yeshua himself would be there on these mean streets, and in fact He is as those with the Spirit of the Lord go to minister to the down and out.

Howard Bass from the Beer Sheva Yeshua's Inheritance congregation shares many links of interesting opportunities (Hosting Israeli Travelers (HIT)) or (a center for Israeli sky watchers); films (Covenant and Controversy); and books (Are We Ready For Jesus?) or (The Unseen Realm).  Howard writes that he doesn't understand everything of the books as the authors  seem to, but there is "much food for thought, and they have helped open my understanding and to consider these things afresh. They are very stimulating, and timely, as we desire to know the one true God"  We are ALL growing, aren't we? And if we aren't, why not!?
