Priority Prayer Focus Oct 7, 2015

Please pray about the rising violence in Israel which many fear is the beginning of the Third Intifada.

Also pray about this request that is related that we received through Facebook from the HaTikva Project: 

With a new wave of terror attacks occurring in Jerusalem, a private Messianic kindergarten has turned to HaTikva Project to request aid to install an upgraded security system. The kindergarten is just meters from the Old City Jerusalem where many of the attacks have occurred. Arrows from Zion Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Martin Sarvis kicks us off this week by taking up where Asher Intrater in Northern Army left off last week:  Armies Arraying in the North - A Groundwork is Being Laid.  You can read Martin's full piece inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary but in gist, he cites the Haftarah reading from last week, which was Ezekiel 39:-39:16 concerning the military alliance that will come up against Israel in the last days.  As you can see by his title, Sarvis sees the groundwork for this military alliance already forming.  He elucidates on the meaning of the phrase "the mountains of Israel" which he says always refer in particular to the area of Judea and Samaria - the same area captured by a re-born Israel from the Kingdom of Jordan during the 1967 War.

Martin is a very astute watcher and interpreter of current events that he overlays with deep Biblical-historical study and knowledge.  He is surely as the scripture described the men of Issachar who had understanding of the times and knew what Israel ought to do.  You will get more understanding out of what is shaping up from this short piece than you can derive from following hard news.  I encourage you all to read it, and to heed the call to take our places - "come into array."

Ron Cantor of the Tiferet Yeshua congregation in Tel Aviv and Messiah's Mandate has a couple of great pieces this week too - first an article on the United Nations Israel-Bashing week United Nations Bash Israel Week & the Power of Prayer, but secondly on the violence at The Temple Mount, Islam and the Coming of Yeshua!

Avi Mizrachi who leads the Adonai Roi congregatin in Tel Aviv, as well as Dugit Coffeehouse, has an article Discerning the Times, "Yeshua tells the Pharisees and Sadducees, 'You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times'.”  Avi asks, "Do you, as a true disciple of Yeshua, know and discern the times in which we live today? Or, do you need a “Jonah” experience to wake you up to the calling to which God has called you?"

Mizrachi writes, "After almost 2000 years the Jewish people have returned back to their homeland Israel. This return fulfilled the prophecies prophesied by the Prophet Ezekiel (Ezekiel 36).  And now, as we live in these prophetic times, the Good News is returning to Israel from the nations thru the gate city Jaffa (Tel Aviv), up to the Judean Mountains, and on to Jerusalem, the eternal city of our great King. . . . More than ever we see the Harvest in the land of Israel ready!" 

You can read the full article inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary but I would just like to add once again, that in the scheme of things there might be many signs to watch these days, but what are those signs prompting in you?  For many, I know in America, the sign that everyone has been captivated with are the Blood Moons, and what it has prompted in them seems to be a focus on the bad things coming - the greater darkness in the world. 

From my perspective, the MUCH GREATER SIGN OF THE TIMES is the spiritual harvest that is going on in Israel among Jews, and that is being brought in BY JEWISH BELIEVERS in Yeshua/Jesus.  Now when the focus is on THAT SIGN, then what it prompts in those who heed it is a desire to help, and a rejoicing of the glory of the LORD that is increasing in Israel.  We can chose what signs we want to focus on - I will gladly focus on the signs of God's Spirit doing exactly what the prophecies said He would do among Israel, rather than focusing on the growing darkness in the world that the Blood Moons are said to point to, and which (in my opinion) steals the attention of too many believers from the good things God is doing.

From the Revive Israel team, Cody Archer brings a good word about the Interdependent End Time Generation  writing, "Many people today are talking about ‘prepping’ for the end times. This is wise as the Lord leads, but your ‘prepping’ must include working toward generational unity and cooperation as this will become so critical in days to come."

Since the re-structuring of the 30+ year Tikkun International Ministries, now headquartered in Jerusalem and headed by Asher Intrater, Dr. Daniel Juster is playing a new role in the ministry organization and has adopted a new personal ministry name: Restoration from Zion (Tikkun from Zion).  Now the Juster's whole family are living in Israel and this week we got the first set of prayer requests sent out from son, Ben Juster, who is the Operations Director of Tikkun Intl, and also lives in the Jerusalem area.  If you will open the attached Weekly Summary, you can read the prayer requests that include the many Tikkun Israeli ministries, plus other close associate ministries and other general prayer requests.

Ronit Bender in Carmel shares a little from her 65th birthday, which was celebrated in a breakfast date with Karen Davis and Rita Tsukahira, leaders in the Carmel Assembly where Ronit is an active member. She also shared from the just past Feast of Tabernacles event held in Jerusalem where she had some God-adventures, and also brings us this prayer request for Ghazi, the son of an Arabic pastor who is in need of prayer for Leukemia.  She notes that as the High Holy Days have come to an end, she will return to the streets of Tel Aviv to minister with the drug addicts and prostitutes wit the House of Victory.  Read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Shlomy and Miriam Abramov of Awake Israel Ministries also took part in the Feast of Tabernacles event, as well as the China Israel Kingdom Conference right before it.  Miriam sends several photos from the events, including a wedding that Shlomy conducted for a Chinese couple.  Plus their news and prayer requests for the coming days, which you may find inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Especially since the violence has heated up so much in Israel, we believe you will be very interested to read Howard Bass' prayer letter this week from Beer Sheva because it is a greeting from his youngest son, Tal in the IDF.  At 23, Tal has been training 50 soldiers in combat-engineering forces for the past 7 months.  Now, he is going into a new phase of training officers, and his role on the operational side which is to be the head of bomb squad time.  You will read from Tal how God "threw me into the deep ocean" for his good, and helped him when he thought he was over his head. 

We really want to encourage you to read Tal's humble report about intense responsibilities he is under in his military service, because it will help you to appreciate the need to pray for these believer soldiers who are consistently being cited by their commanders as exemplary.   In the US we view young people at 23 as practically-speaking, still children.  I don't know how it is in other parts of the world, but certainly in Israel, I'm sure the parents still look at their 23-year olds and marvel at the weight of responsibility they are carrying for the safety of the nation.  Our prayers will lift up their arms in the battle - this we must do.  Read more inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary

Lura and Eddie Beckford have suffered some costly setbacks with transportation - Eddie already in the U.S. and Lura still in Israel, both had expensive vehicle breakdowns.  Soon Lura will be on her way to the U.S. and their speaking itinerary is located inside the attached DOCX Weekly Summary.  There are some open dates if you are in the areas listed, also contact information if you would like to help them make up for the hits they took on finances because of the vehicle breakdowns.

He also writes a brief health update:  "We are continuing in the battle for my physical health. Today, I am scheduled to start six weeks of radiation and chemo treatments. Please pray that these treatments would be effective and will destroy only the works of the enemy in my body. Pray that the negative effects of these treatments will be minimal. And of course, please pray that the end of the matter will be complete healing from this very serious disease."
