Priority Prayer Focus Nov 5, 2014

Rainbow touching the Temple Mount  | There are 4 prayer rooms in Jerusalem now – all with a direct view of the Temple Mount.  In some cases, like Succat Hallel, that took Divine re-positioning. Picking up and moving.  We could draw from the fact that all four of the prayer houses that have been raised up in Jerusalem, that now also have eyes on the Temple Mount during prayers, is an alignment communicating a certain prayer direction and priority. 

You’ve probably heard some fairly religious-nationalistic viewpoints out of Israel even from believers on the recent tensions on the Temple Mount, but Israelprayer favors this spiritual perspective from within the Messianic community of Jerusalem prayer houses.  Let’s face it – beyond what many believers and unbelievers think is the significance of that mount, it is meant for a King to reign from and that King will lay His own claim to it.

Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Eitan Shishkoff leads this week with thoughts about the life cycle events that are so prominent in the Jewish religious community.  These are traditions with most Messianic Jews embrace as part of the Messianic Jewish experience – bar and bat mitzvahs being one of those that gives great opportunity to plant the seeds of faith as joyful families draw near to see the first public Torah reading of a young person entering responsibility within the congregation.

At one recent bat mitzvah of an Ethiopian young lady of Israel, a Russian-speaking Israeli who had been brought to the service by tourists from Siberia, had a breakthrough! He asked Yeshua into his heart following the service.  In another couple of weeks, the Shishkoff’s granddaughter will “participate in the same passage to young womanhood,” her proud grandfather writes.  “As did the Messiah and His original disciples, we are celebrating the continued relevance of Torah (the Bible's first five books), as the God-given basis for Jews to live by, as we have for the last 3500 years. Without question, this is only made possible through the New Covenant, in the power of the Spirit (see Romans 8:4).”

Shishkoff asks prayers for the young couples he has begun to notice coming to Shabbat services.  “Please pray that we will reach out to them warmly, consistently, and that they will find Ohalei Rachamim an inspiring spiritual home.”  He also asks for your prayers “for the increased presence of God when we gather and for bold love in conversations with our neighbors and fellow Israelis.”  100’s of new immigrants from Ukraine are settling in the Haifa area.

 Pray with Shavei Tzion congregation, part of the Tents of Mercy network and led by Leon Mazin, that the will be well equipped to serve these new Israelis in practical, material and spiritual ways.

Finally, inside the attached PDF Weekly Summary is Eitan’s tribute to Katya Morrison, a beloved minister at Tents of Mercy who passed into eternity one year ago.  Katya was an exceptional follower of Yeshua, and I was also blessed to know her.

Joel and Teresa Jelski are one of the young couples serving their generation at Succat Hallel, a 24/7 prayer house in Jerusalem. Joel writes of his burden to pray for the Yazidee people, those 800,000 people in Iraq that recently fled from the murderous ISIS spiritual locusts that descended on  Iraq – murdering, torturing and making sex slaves of women and children.  Joel asks for prayers that Yeshua would have His inheritance in the nations including the Yazidee people.  Because of the brutality occurring in the Middle Eastern nations, many hearts are open to Yeshua as never before.

Carolyn and Richard speak this week on an upcoming journey to Germany and France early next year.
“G-d has placed on our hearts to be like fishermen who will beckon to the Jews to come home before it's too late.  Recently we had the "Supernatural or Just Remarkable" booklets translated into French.  We have incredible testimonies of how G-d is using these booklets in Israel and we hope to distribute them in France, thus encouraging French Jews to make Aliyah amid the rising Anti-Semitism there.  Our goal is to raise up other fishermen from churches, home groups, etc; people who we can train to share the booklets in a non-offensive way with Jewish people.”  If you would like to learn more about this vision, and how you might participate in the EU, see more details and contact information inside the attached PDF Weekly Summary

In family news, the Hydes have another new grandbaby and also the engagement announcement of one of their sons.  Mazel tov!

Lura Beckford in Arad wrote a prayer request in Facebook for her little town in the Negev:  “Say a special prayer for Arad, please. A major company who employs 800+ people just closed its doors and took its factory to Jordan. A number of businesses here have laid off employees recently. Arad is a small town and more than 1000 people have lost their jobs recently, including the Mayor's husband. I know the Lord has a PLAN for Arad - let's pray into it!”

Danny and Tammy Meyuseff are connected to the Kfar Saba congregation of Kehilat Hamaayan. Tammy is also the sister of Orna Greenman of A Sign and A Wonder ministry to widows and orphans.  During and after the tensions of the summer war with Hamas, their lives have been stressed by the care of their mothers – Danny’s recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and Tammy and Orna’s mother having fallen, getting a bad blow to her head.  They are waiting for national health caregiver help for both mothers. 

How we care for our parents as they age is a witness in the world which we live where the family has broken down to such a great degree.  Pray for the LORD to help all those who are helping their sick family members – strength, grace, endurance and favor in every need.  Pray for them as they also continue to participate in the discipling of new believers in the congregation, and outreach to un-believer friends. 

Tammy and Danny were able to see the son of unbeliever friends of theirs come to the knowledge of Yeshua after they were able to get him into a drug rehab operated by Messianics.  Now the parents hearts are opening as well.

These may sound like little testimonies to those in the churches who are used to seeing great meetings in churches and stadiums when hundreds respond to the call, but God is doing a marvelous work in the salvation of Israel, and this is the way He has chosen for His Messianic Israelis to walk it out.  Pray for blessings on all the seeds they are planting.

From Asher Intrater’s Revive Israel Ministry are several writings this week:  Discipling the Nations By Dan Juster;  Michael Kerem writes about the Sunni-Shiite war that continues to devastate and ravage the Middle East – with prayer points for intercession; Mateusz Wójcikiewicz writes about the Museum of Polish Jewry opening and what it says about Israel-Polish relations; there is a short notice of the Egyptian razing of houses on the Gaza border in an attempt to create a security strip with no places for Hamas terror tunnels to be hidden; and lastly a request for the mid-term elections that are in progress here in the US today as I write.  We appreciate your prayers, for a strong America – no matter what many in the nations think about that – is a necessity in the battle against the evils of Islam, Putin, drug lords and others of the hordes of hell.

Israelprayer Post-MidTerm Election Update:  You may have heard there has been strong wave of conservative wins in the American electorate that will change the trajectory that the socialist Left has had us on in past 6 years.  Frankly we are hearing a collective big sigh of relief because the American people spoke so strongly in sending traditional values conservatives to represent them and turn around the harm which has been done by those who fundamentally see the USA as a curse rather than a blessing.  Our national roots are in the firm soil of the blessing of the LORD and our hope is to not only see a return of conservative political values, but also a return to the knowledge and values of the LORD. 

Pray for our new political leaders who have been swept into office by a majority of Americans who are more conservative than the media would have had us believe. The traditional values of the American people remain.   Pray that our leaders will fulfill for the USA the prophecy of Isaiah 58:12 - "Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets to Dwell in."

The end-time calling of Gentiles in Israel's revival" has been translated into Japanese, traditional Chinese, Korean, and German. More translations are underway and about to be printed in Spanish, French, Dutch, and Norwegian. Wow! I'm grateful. Translations are also being requested in Russian, Hebrew, and Portuguese. I covet your prayers for all of these added languages to progress easily and with quality. I'm also eager for the original English version to get much wider distribution.
