Leon Mazin, who is a Russian Jewish pastor in
Haifa’s Return to Zion, part of the Tents of Mercy network in northern Israel,
also gives an interview on his perspective of the prophetic ramifications of
Purim as one of the “scattered Jews” who has returned to the ancient Israeli
homeland. You can read Leon’s interview

one thing, Mazin notes, “The Book of Esther is about assimilated Jews.”
Which reminds of the prayer request we saw this week from a friend in Jerusalem who wrote, “We find it {the weekly haftarah portion/Ez 36:16-38} especially useful in helping us to pray for Israel as regards the contested "territories" of Judea and Samaria, which she is being pressured to release to be converted permanently into a Muslim state in which no Jews would be allowed to dwell. All of the prophecies in this reading are centered on an area called "The Mountains of Israel" (Ezekiel 36:1), which exactly constitute this contested area. Please pray for those Jewish settlers currently living in these areas, that they be granted revelation of the righteousness which comes in Messiah Yeshua. This passage strongly implies that it is only when they receive the cleansing which He offers that they will be enabled permanently to ‘dwell in the Land."

Howard Bass from the Beer Sheva Nachalat
Yeshua congregation (Yeshua’s Inheritance) asks for prayer for the national
ministry leadership prayer retreat that is currently underway. Over the years we have written of the SAYF –
Sitting At Yeshua’s Feet – retreat where the ministry leaders go to seek God
and strengthen their relationships as the Body of Messiah in Israel. Howard notes that the two times annually that
they have been meeting together since the year 2000, they have gone without
having an agenda. This year is different
because of the sharp dissension within the ranks over issues related to the just
concluded Christ at the Checkpoint conference in Bethlehem. Please pray that God Himself will meet the
men gathered at this retreat, that there would be none unable to partake of the
Lord’s Supper with the others.
Howard also mentioned that they got a good
amount of much needed rain – great for Beer Sheva – but with it came thunder
and lightning which struck their telephone pole, traveled down into the
computer and zapped it. Pray for the
communications of all the Body – whether from crashed computers or crossed
wires between brothers – there is an enemy attack against the free flow of
protected communications within our ranks.

The controversy the Christ at the Checkpoint
has stirred (most of the controversy
inside Israel has been internal and hidden, but outside Israel there are
extreme views being posited against Messianic
Jewish leaders who spoke at CATC.
Therefore I want to give our subscribers opportunity to view the videos
of those speakers addressing the CATC event last week. I am also including the video of a UK Jews
for Jesus leader who has especially borne much abuse for his CATC address in
2012. We should see exactly how each of
these men handled themselves with our own ears and eyes. Some think this is
just a question for internal Israeli discussion. However, it is the international Body of
Christ that is being affected by the efforts to ostracize these men by some. At the very least, believers in the nations should see

Calev Myers of the Jerusalem Institute of Justice
writes about the Purim event they put on for the Lone soldiers. For many soldiers, their time of service is
one that is an extremely lonely period of life. JIJ and others try to come
alongside these “lone soldiers” to provide friendship, care and moral
support. Many of these soldiers come
from Orthodox and ultra-orthodox families who ostracize them for their military
service. It is so important to embrace

Israel Pochtar gives a powerful account of the
annual Middle Eastern conference that Israeli and Arab leaders attended in
Turkey where they were joined by fellow believers from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Algiers,
Tunisia, Sudan, Azerbaijan and other Muslim nations. You can read Pochtar’s reports on some of the
highlights of the testimony of their time together, and join in with his prayer

“Keep our brothers from all over the Middle East and Africa in your prayers. They pay an extremely high price for their faith in Jesus. However we see that in the midst of great darkness, God comes to pour out his great light. Over the past few years we have heard remarkable stories and testimonies of what the Lord has been doing in Muslim countries all over the Middle East and Africa.”

Ron Cantor of Messiah’s Mandate and the
Tiferet Yeshua congregation (Glory of Yeshua) in Tel Aviv also addresses the
CATC conference in his prayer letter and podcast on the event.
Ron writes, “Despite the willingness to hear us, there are still
major problems—both theologically and politically—in how they view the
situation. Israel’s Security Fence that has prevented countless suicide
bombings and terrorist attacks is presented as a Berlin Wall of Separation.
There is a fear to speak against Islamic terror. A number of Israeli pastors,
including myself, plan to meet with Palestinian evangelical leaders in the near
future, not at a conference, but over coffee, to share our hearts and
perspectives. Please be in prayer for
this.”
Cantor also writes, “We are so burdened
to produce quality videos to educate the body of believers worldwide. Did you know that the Palestinian Authority
spent 200 million dollars on propaganda last year, while Israel only
spent 1 million to explain the Jewish position? Of course, you have to wonder
how many Palestinians suffered financially as funds that should have gone to
feed them went to propaganda. I feel such a burden to combat these lies with
truth. But we must build a studio. We have a ministry in the US that is seeking
to help us in part. Pray that God

You have probably heard in the news – or maybe not – that Israel has been fired on by Gaza with numerous missiles, Cantor asked prayers for that escalation on the desert cities of the Negev. But also there have been attacks on Israeli cities in the north from Syrian weapons reportedly by Assad’s troops. And although there is a lot of silly speculation on television right now about the missing Malaysian plane, there is one under-reported potential that the plane was successfully landed in a Taliban-controlled region of Pakistan. The Israelis have heightened air readiness to deal with the potential of the Malaysian plane being used against them, and informed sources in the U.S. say that serious attention is being paid in intelligence and analyst circles with the U.S. government who believe they have proof of the plane landing in Pakistan. These are most definitely reason to pray for God’s protection for the Israeli nation – who DO have a right to exist as a nation and to protect themselves from harm.

raise awareness in American universities about the corruption in the
Palestinian Authority and the distorted image many American students have of
Israel as a result of this misinformation. Only at the very end of the article does
the writer mention that Myers is a Messianic Jew, meaning he has had his share
of challenges to overcome in facing Israeli bureaucracy. Regarding his
pro-Israel campaign, says Myers: “It pains me that there are some who will not
