Blue Skies at Ein Gedi
“Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it”
Ezekiel 37:12-14

Arrows from Zion
Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel
The Passover holiday ended but the appointed “moed”
feast days of the LORD continued on as we see in the report from Eddie and
Jackie Santoro of the Ahavat (Love) of Yeshua congregation in Israel. Schools have been out for 2 ½ weeks and
Israelis have flocked to vacation spots from the seaside to the countryside and
mountains. Cook outs and family times
are the order of this time. It is like a
national ‘time out’ from the normal “frenetic” pace of Israeli society.
Santoro writes, “Throughout the world the last
words spoken in the Seder are "Next year in Jerusalem". How wonderful
it is for those of us who already live here to be a part of the reality of
Israel regathered in its ancient homeland. . . . In our home, we had a mix of
believers and non-believers. We praise God for the clear and bold testimony of
"Yeshua, The Lamb of God" that was spoken. Please pray for those
throughout the nation who heard the testimony of Yeshua during the Passover
Seder. Pray that the seeds will sink deeply into fertile ground and that we
will see a mighty harvest in the coming days.”
This is true of all the Messianic ministries throughout Israel as during the Passover holiday there were many opportunities to invite friends and family into homes for a seder together. In these quiet times, seeds are planted by the faithful remnant and the Holy Spirit speaks into hearts. Let us join in praying for an abundant harvest from this planting.

I was elated to see for the first time that
Eddie and Jackie Santoro were visiting Texas as they spend the next three weeks
speaking in the U.S. You can find out
more about their schedule below in the Israeli
Ministries on Tour section. They will also be visiting Jackie’s mother who
is 97. Pray the LORD will open her heart
of the Messiah.
In the Negev, there was also great joy during
these holidays as Howard Bass of Nachlat (Inheritance of) Yeshua shared. They also baptized “A’ who came to us
through the Jews for Jesus evangelism campaign last November, and through
coming regularly to our services and Bible studies, decided to be baptized.“
If you will remember, this Jews for Jesus campaign saw a 50-year old JFJ man from Britain, Barry Barnett, arrested for holding a witnessing sign near Beer Sheva during the campaign. He was consequently sent out of the country. The word has it that Jews for Jesus is not going to pursue the matter, even though what Barnett did was lawful and his imprisonment and deportation was not lawful. Continue to pray over these matters as it sets a dangerous precedent and will likely embolden the anti-missionaries to increase such activities.

Howard Bass also wrote, “I have often
considered how Rabbinic Judaism seems to be a reaction to the New Testament and
the truth of Messiah being Yeshua/Jesus. In other words, I remember
growing up that part of what defined us as being Jewish was that we did not
believe in Jesus. . . . So, too, has Rabbinic Judaism done in many respects in
order to keep the Jewish people away from Jesus and from Moses and the
Prophets, who all wrote about Him. My (and not mine only) sense has been
confirmed by an Israeli professor from Hebrew Univ., whose thesis is that
Rabbinic Judaism emerged from Christianity as a reaction. You can listen
to and watch his extremely interesting and stimulating lecture here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_6Q4or2jjU
In more good news for the congregation in Beer Sheva, Bass says they have worked very hard to acquire the “Good Management Certificate” of the Israeli NPO (nonprofit) Registrar. This will be helpful on many financial levels for the congregation. If you would like to learn more about how to come alongside this ministry so key in the Negev, look inside the subscription-only Weekly Summary for contact information.
Martin in Jerusalem shared the fantastic photo of blue skies over Ein Gedi at the beginning of this Arrows from Zion, and also the verse from the Haftrah (Prophets) that was shared in Shabbat services throughout the world this past – even as “Resurrection Week” was celebrated around the world by those of us who believe on Yeshua. Martin writes that here in their own land that God has returned them to, “Israel shall finally see and know that Yeshua, ‘the Resurrection and the Life’, the one who “raises us up at the last day,” is Himself YHVH—“The LORD; He and His Father are One!”
Speaking of the many outbreaks of evil we have
witnessed across the world during this same time frame, Martin writes, “A new
dimension of “life from the dead” for the whole world is what Romans 11:15
prophesies as this resurrection-revelation awakens in Israel,—and the Evil One
is feverishly at work to, if not prevent, at least delay its coming about.” This is the reality that God warned us of by
the prophets, especially Isaiah 60:2, “For, behold, the darkness shall
cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise
upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”
Among several prayer requests that Martin notes
inside the subscription-only Weekly Summary are these two: Speak, “Ezekiel 37: 1-14 over the Jewish
people, the Whole House of Israel—that the Wind/Spirit/Breath (Hebrew: ruach)
of God will come and breathe upon them, bringing them together into wholeness
and life; bringing them back to their Land; bringing them to know that Yeshua
and YHVH (‘The LORD’) are One, receiving His Spirit within them; that they will
stand up a great Army of God in the last days.”
And that, “Jews throughout the world will realize that there is life in
the Son; that those He is calling back to the land of Israel will hear the call
and return.”
Asher Intrater of Revive Israel explains
covenantal relationship in a short VIDEO
this week.
He also writes about their meeting last with friends and partners of
Aglow International, which is a worldwide organization that used to be for women
only. For several years now Aglow has
networked with Revive Israel making their organization one of the largest
international ministries that is correctly aligned with the believers of the
Messianic Remnant in Israel. Aglow is a
forerunner in making this ESSENTIAL relationship link.
In Tel Aviv, the Dugit Coffeehouse is once
again being forced to find a new location for the storefront outreach. Pray with the ministry which is headed by Avi
Mizrachi, that they will find a place where they can stay without being moved
again. They also included this VIDEO from last December,
as a team from Dugit and Adonai Roi, along with an Arab Christian congregation,
embarked on a month long outreach campaign at the festival; sharing about
Yeshua with those in attendance.
Sally Shiff, who is the lead intercessor at
the Hamaayan (Wellspring) congregation in Kfar Saba, also writes about the
Passover season in their congregation.
They held a home group seder for English speakers that drew into a
dinner for 50 from the congregation with translations in English, Hebrew,
Russian, Spanish, German and Swedish as the seder grew beyond English-speakers
only.
Sally also shares of going south to share
Passover with her mother’s side of the family in a kibbutz a little less than a
mile from Gaza. In fact, their house is
located right at the fence separating Gaza from Israel. Sally writes, “While I was there, there was
such a tremendous amount of peace and security at that home. Once again, it is a spiritual fight for this
land, but what you hear on the news is not the same as what we are experiencing
in everyday life. And for me, to discover that my roots here within my family
are over 100 years old, is yet again another confirmation that this is my home,
His home.”
Sally also gives information on how their
congregation will be offering a two-week “reaching, reaching and tour course”
in the first quarter of 2015. “During
the morning, you will be trained on Israel, who she is, and how she fits into
God’s plans, and then in the afternoons, you will either be serving in your
giftings or touring the land to see where the Bible took place!” If you are interested in this, look inside
the subscription-only Weekly Summary for more details.
There are more and more of these type of
opportunities arising among the many congregations in Israel that allow the
international church to link up and make strong ties with the Body in Israel.
Just 10 years ago there were few of these opportunities, but we see the Body in
Israel are coming into a new phase of capability. For those who have never been to Israel
before, these types of tour-short term ministry combos are really perfect
because you get to see the highlights of Israel’s past while taking part in the
work of the LORD toward Israel’s future.

Last week we told you that Ronit Bender, who
recently lost her husband Tom to Heaven, returned to Israel from visiting family
in Australia, only to find that she had one month to vacate her home. She asked for prayer and this week she is
reporting that God has answered with a home tucked away on top of Mount
Carmel. It is an uphill climb, but she
is grateful for it. Pray for Ronit who
is dealing with a great many expenses during this season of going on without
her husband. Find out how to help inside

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the
tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli
believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:
- Brian Slater’s wife Racheli It appears Racheli may have to go back and do her hip surgery ALL OVER again, however this time being a full or partial hip replacement. We hope to have a more definite answer in the next week or two regarding IF another potential surgery OR not! Racheli still suffers terrible pain.
- Shlomy Abramov of AwakeIsrael asks prayer for his wife who went in for a surgery, there was a complication and she almost died. Shlomy writes this update: The doctors say it will be summer before Miriam is healed completely, 6 mo. In total. God supplied the finances for the nurses and what was needed to get her through. Praise to his name and thank you to those who prayed and helped us.
- Arni & Yonit Klein of Emmaus Way request prayers for staff in the U.S. (Becky and Keith) and in Germany (Hannah). We reported the extremely serious injuries of Keith and of Hannah months ago, now in caretaking Becky is also suffering physical strain and pain. Keith is beginning to be able to move both legs a bit, but Hannah is still in intense physical therapy with pain spreading. They would appreciate prayers.
- Four elder ministry leaders in Israel, are dealing with Parkinson’s which is a neurological syndrome. Since they have not shared this information, I will just ask for you to please pray for them each to be able to continue to live normal lives, and for the hand of the LORD to bless them with healing.
- Please pray for the wife of Ariel Ben David, who leads an Eilat Congregation, and also for his worship leader, both of whom were recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
- Pray for Ami Ortiz for ongoing issues from the Purim 2008 bomb blast – all this time later there are still painful procedures, lack of recognition from the government of this terror victim status.
- Guy Cohen of Harvest of Asher asks for continued prayer for Marlene’s physical healing.

Passing the Baton to the Next
Generation
By Patti Juster, Tikkun International
From the beginning Dan and I have had a passion to love, mentor, disciple and nurture those young people whom God gives us (though we were two of those young people in the beginning). In our later years this passion has intensified. We are burdened by the reports of so many young people in the Western world and even here in Israel, who are leaving the faith or ceasing to be part of a local expression of the body of believers. They have become disillusioned and bored with "what is" and feel powerless to change it. Some are honestly seeking the truth while others could care less and just want to be free to enjoy the pleasures of this world. Hence, who will carry on the vision of the present leadership in the Church world and in Messianic Judaism? Who will take on the challenge of extending the Kingdom of God in all spheres of life? All the early pioneers of the Messianic movement are in their sixties now. Will we be able to pass the baton to the next generation? It seems as if we have skipped the 40-50 year-old generation, so now we are looking to the generation in their twenties and thirties. It grieves me when I read scripture about similar scenarios where the "old guard" passed away and the new generation did not follow in their forefathers' footsteps. Is it a lack of discipleship? Praying the Headlines
David and Leah Ortiz of the Ariel Fellowship sent us
this Jews for Jesus video that has many in the Jewish world in an uproar over
what they see as an attempt to “convert” Jews to Christianity. Here is an article with the video as it appeared
on YNET News:
Video by 'Jews for Jesus' aims to convert Jews to
Christianity and intentionally released in conjunction with Passover, Easter,
