Priority Prayer Focus June 12, 2013

God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. The princes of the people have gathered together, The people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; He is greatly exalted.  Psalms 47:8-9

Praise Report

I got a great praise report from Leah Ortiz this morning on David's progress:   I am sorry I haven't been in direct touch with you, my dumb server that I send my updates over isn't working!!! I haven't been able to send out an update all this time to the list, but knowing that so many are praying is so amazingly strengthening and encouraging, and we are seeing great answers to prayer.

He is out of intensive care. It happened yesterday that he improved suddenly enough to go back to the ward. Every day there is improvement, and we pray it will stay that way.

The crazy thing was that the night before David's second emergency operation, Ami got a virus that is going around here (stomach flu) that is so severe, he dehydrated and we were in the emergency room all night. I got home, and two hours later David had the 2nd operation.

I figure this is either the enemy just trying to torment and persecute us for the victory with Jack Teitel, because he can't win, he can just throw everything available at us, or another victory is ahead. Whatever, we are as always standing by the grace and mercy of our almighty Father in Heaven.

Leah was finally able to get a prayer letter out to her list, and from that source we add this:  Please, please pray for a full recovery for David, that there would be no complications and especially no further infection.  Please pray for wisdom for all of us in the family.  As always, our kids are all pulling together, coordinating and working as a team.  Psalm 61:1-2 has been comforting -  "Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I."  Gratefully,  Leah

Arrows from Zion
Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Summer is the time when many Israeli ministries travel to do outreach in the nations, blessing believers with the word of the Lord from Zion, meeting new friends, making Divine appointments all along the way.  We want to encourage our readers to take advantage of the opportunities to see Israeli ministries when they are in your area.  You will be blessed by what they bring to the banqueting table of the LORD.

Tikkun affliliated ministries - a network of some 20 Messianic congregations led by Dan Juster - held their annual USA conference at the end of May.  A report from Asher Intrater’s ministry notes that Asher Intrater and Paul Wilbur had the opportunity to minister together four times – blending together worship, prophecy, and teaching together in Spirit-led teamwork.  If you are interested in ordering a copy on CD of the messages, please click here.  We also encourage you to read this short teaching Repackaging Lies and Truths By Asher Intrater

Asher’s news also included an update from the Yad Hashmona Messianic kibbutz in the Judean foothills.  They have just accepted 50 new members into the kibbutz (by a vote of the 20 families already members).  All the new members are Messianic believers with Israeli citizenship.  This increase will demand a sizeable building program for roads, homes, children's facilities, infrastructure, etc.   Pray for God’s grace on this real-life Messianic community in the center of Israel as deep roots are planted by the Body of Messiah into the Land of great Promises.

David and Karen Davis report from the far northern heights of Carmel near the Lebanon border on how they are reaching the unreached under the shadow of war.  The troubling news of Syria are more than just headlines to those who share the current northern borders with Hezballah-ridden Lebanon and al-Qaeda infested Syrian.  Israelis living that close to the action know well that suddenly the fighting could spill into their own yards and homes.  But the believers in northern Israel are stirring themselves up with worship warfare and declaring the will of God over their neighbors to the north.  Peace in the midst of the storm is also a testimony to their fellow neighbor Israelis.

Pray for the ministries all along the northern area of Israel, and for the congregants to rest in Him, to move with wisdom, to take every opportunity to touch the needs of the people who are living in the shadow of war.  Pray also for all the young believers who are serving in the Israeli Defense Forces and other security positions.  Pray for the Israeli government and military to receive accurate intelligence and to respond with wisdom.

Pray for the summer kids and youth camps as they gear up to minister during these times.  The living always goes on in Israel, even when it means packing your gas mask for summer camp right along with the swim trucks and sunscreen.

Ron Cantor related a great conversation with his wife when they were out for breakfast last Friday and she looked around at all the Israelis surrounding them in the cafĂ© and wondered, “How is God going to do this—Save them all?”  Ron says Elana was referring to the promise in Romans 11:26.  He answered, “If you were wearing dark sunglasses indoors, you would not be able to see. However, if someone removed the sunglasses, you would be able to see clearly. God is going to one day remove the blinders and all Israel will see.”

How wonderfully true!  It is an act of God when the blinders are removed and He has already communicated to us that He had purpose in not giving Israel eyes to see the Messiah until the time of the Gentiles were fulfilled.  The times and seasons belong to God, Yeshua told us, and we can rejoice that the incredible number of Jews worldwide who have seen the Light is continually increasing in this season.  We are in the season. What is impossible to man, is possible with God. Hallelujah!

Ron is a busy man of God these days with pastoral responsibilities at Tiferet Yeshua, a weekly podcast, ministry in the US in July, and in the midst of writing Identity Theft 2.  Pray for him and for all the ministry leaders who a juggling multiple ministry responsibilities, for their lives to remain in right priority and for the anointing of the Lord to multiply within them to meet the demands.

Israel Pochtar gives us a look at the Middle East conference in Jordan that their leadership attended in May.  It was a blessed time to meet with Christian Arab pastors and ministry leaders in the Arab Middle East.  These are bold, yet tender works that the Spirit of the Lord shows up in a mighty way even as bloodshed in neighboring states is reaching levels like the 90,000 dead and close to a million refugees that is happening in Syria at the same time.  Pray that the things God began at this meeting will take root, blossom and produce the fruit of righteousness and peace in all who participated.

Pray also for the 2-bus historical and biblical site outreach tours that Pochtar and their ministry team are conducting each month.  How many tourist sites in your own area have you visited?  Probably there are some you’ve always thought about but never visited.  Well that is true in Israel too!  Can you imagine? Many citizens are eager to take these tours spending 6 to 8 hours going to various biblical sites and hearing the gospel directly from the Word about the places visited.  God is using this to touch people – over 3,000 people in two years have taken these tours.  Pray for all those seeds to take root and bloom!

Pray for believers who are being denied rightful citizenship by the Interior Ministry because of their faith in Yeshua.  We know that it doesn’t get any more Jewish than Yeshua, but the Interior Ministry still has the wrap-around RayBans on!  Pray for the lawyers who fight these fights for the believers – that God will make a way for them to remain in the Land and with all the benefits of citizenship.

Mazal Tov to the Hyde family, grandparents Richard and Carolyn, parents Areil and Shayla on the birth of the couple’s first, a daughter named Anayah Nechama.  Mazal tov also to Avihai Orel on the birth of a son “another one” as Avihai writes on Facebook.   Babies, babies, babies.  The Messianic community is growing every which way in Israel!

Carolyn and Richard Hyde report about a recent 10-day ministry trip to Holland where intercessors are being raised up and informed of what God is doing in the Land of Israel.  Praise the Lord!  They were invited there by Pillar of Fire Ministries who also operate an internet radio station.

The Hydes write:  “Planning a trip to Israel?   Here's our two Shekels worth of advice:  Here´s our opinion about war in Israel.  It´s the best time to be here because hearts are the most open!  In fact, when we plan our travels abroad, if war breaks out while we're overseas, we´ll cancel everything and go home.  So, we encourage you to come if the L-rd is calling you.  He will take care of you and you will be a light of hope.”

Brian Slater, a Chosen People minister in Netanya who has a feeding ministry called Yeshua’s Fresh Bread in Israel, is happy to announce the opening of a volunteer home so they can house the volunteers from the nation who come to help feed Israel’s needy.  Netanya is one of my very favorite places in Israel (on the Mediterranean coast).  It is a wonderful place to be if you are looking for an opportunity to do a hands-on ministry trip to Israel .  Find out how to contact Brian inside the attached Weekly Summary.  You will be blessed.

The Sorko-Rams of Maoz ministry are thrilled to announce that they now have their Hebrew New Testament online and it is truly a super tool for reaching Israelis who want to know more from the privacy of their own computers.  No country is more internet-soaked than Israel and we already know that many Israelis are going online to learn more.  Thank God for this great accomplishment and pray for much fruit to come from it.  Maoz is making an all-out push to get their existing Hebrew books into eBook format for online availability.  This is a holy work, saints!

The humanitarian aid of Ye’shi Reinhardt’s Hands of Mercy and Tents of Victory continue to call for helpers as threats of war escalate in Syria, Lebanon, Iran and Egypt.  Goods and volunteers come from many nations to help in those works, and in one picture Ye’shi sent, we even saw Eddie Beckford from the King’s Men in Arad, working along with other volunteers.  You can find out more inside the Weekly Summary.

Kobi and Shani Ferguson of Yeshua Israel recently had 10 days in Switzerland with their little family, and it is family that is on their minds in the most recent monthly newsletter.  They write, “Traveling to churches around the world has only strengthened our belief that the Body of Messiah is best built one healthy family at a time. And a healthy family environment is also the best place to disciple single believers.”  Read more about how their ministry is setting itself to impact families to grow in spiritual maturity.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Pray for David Ortiz who underwent two emergency surgeries due to complications after his June 6 laparoscopic surgery to remove a tumor that is one stage before cancer according to doctors. Pray against infection and for God to restore David’s strength. Also pray for Leah and Ami. This family has been through so much!  Please pray for the wife of Ariel Ben David, who leads an Eilat Congregation, and also for his worship leader, both of whom were recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Please continue to pray for Neriyah Arabov, a Chosen People minister in Bat Yam who needs a kidney transplant. He has a donor, but due to some compatibility issues, Neriyah is undergoing treatments now that they hope will remove the compatibility issues.  Pray for the treatments to be successful.   Please continue to intercede for Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy this week to get another bone marrow biopsy then in another 3 weeks, an appointment to discuss the findings:  Pray for no leukemia to be the report.  Tom in the Galilee is believing for victory over cancer in Carmel.  Pray for Ami Ortiz for ongoing issues from the bomb blast – and that he would win the appeal for government recognition that he is a terror victim.  It would mean benefits for the continuing surgeries and legal expenses. Pray for Ariel of Succat Hallel.  Elise Glasser-Levine of Ahavat Yeshua suffering from mysterious and debilitating leg pain for over a year.  Pray for Kay Wilson still suffering from PTSD after surviving a stabbing terrorism attack that her friend did not survive.   Keep Baby Netaley’s full recovery in your prayers. Harvest of Asher asks for continued prayer for M. who had surgery not long ago and is now having difficulty with the correct amount and type of medication to regulate insulin. Please hold him up in prayer for multiple health issues!  Also continue to pray for Elena, also in the Acco congregation.

Praying the Headlines

“There are so many voices in the world, and none of them is without significance.”  1 Cor 14:10

Since we live in dangerous times, let us watch what voices we are listening to in the world. As Proverbs also notes the wisdom of hearing from two or three counselors, let us seek to hear from more than one viewpoint about the issues in our world – then present it all to the Father for our direction.  We live in days where there are very persuasive voices, speaking things that may even appeal to our sense of the right way, but we need to be like the sons of Issachar, who understood the times and so then the way their nation should go.

As we have seen in the United States, it is easy to go the wrong way even when something sounds good.  For example, the backing of the “Arab Spring” in Egypt and Libya.  The choice was made to back those seeking “democracy” and to get rid of dictators for “humanitarian” reasons. Those choices have proven to plunge Libya and Egypt into more chaos, violence and peril from the Islamists who took control

Meanwhile the U.S. stayed out of the popular demonstrations in Iran, which could have benefited greatly if Western nations had strengthened their hand.

There is a strong political push in the U.S. now to intervene in Syria by the same people who pushed our intervention in Egypt and Libya.  Also Turkey is erupting in popular secular uprising against the Islamist Erdogan government.

If the current U.S. administration keeps to its terrible track record of making the wrong decisions, we will probably enter or arm the rebels in Syria and throw our support behind Erdogan in Turkey.  These are the wrong moves, in my opinion.

We should throw our support behind Israel and arm them – not the rebels of al-Qaeda and Hezballah fighting against Syrian Assad.  We do not have to enter turmoil in Turkey, but should find a way to undergird the secular Turks who are fighting against Turkey sliding back into the abyss of fundamentalist Islam.

Others may see it differently – but take counsel before just accepting a position, and ask God to give us direction for the paths that will lead to greater peace for Israel and for us.

Priority Prayer Focus

Everyday brings news that horrifies, disgusts and frightens, but also other news that is exciting, encouraging and powerful.  Truly, like the words of Paul Wilbur’s song, these are the Days of Elijah: "These are the days of great trials of famine and darkness and sword" over against "And these are the days of Ezekiel, the dry bones becoming flesh. And these are the days of Your servant, David, rebuilding a temple of praise."

Let's pray for the people of Yeshua to keep these extremes of reality in balance, so that we see the darkness that surely exists, but with the assurance that the time has come for glorious Light to arise upon us, His glory casting out darkness.

Whenever I read Ruth Nessim’s reports from daily life in Israel, I am incredibly blessed and encouraged about our ability to really make a difference in the lives of people we meet even for the briefest of encounters – and just by being ourselves, nothing special just letting Yeshua shine out through us to others.  Most of us will never stand before hundreds or thousands preaching the gospel from the podium, but we all will have the opportunity to be a living testimony to Yeshua when the plumber comes to the house or with someone in line at the grocery store or in the bed next to us at the hospital.

Ruth’s letter this month – Happy birthday, Ruth on your 77th birthday – remembers a couple of times that brief encounters made a surprisingly powerful impact on people God put in her path.  I encourage you to read this encouraging report inside the attached Weekly Summary.  It will build you up!

News from David and Leah Ortiz is good – Ami is getting scar-erasing treatments that were developed for soldiers returning from Afghanistan – but also there is a need for prayer as David will be having laparoscopic surgery tomorrow (Thurs June 6) as a colonoscopy found a tumor that is one stage before cancer.  Pray for David’s surgery (and Ami’s laser surgeries) to be 100% effective.

If you would like to know more about the groundbreaking laser treatments that Ami is getting, they have written a really great and informative article about it and what Ami is going through during these treatments.  Access it here.  They also report that the letter writing campaign to the Israeli government to re-classify Ami as a victim of terror so he can get the legal and medical benefits afforded to terror victims, is yielding results.  It is not too late to write a letter and you can get details on how to do that here:  A REQUEST for INTERVENTION &; PRAYER from DAVID & LEAH ORTIZ

Eitan Shishkoff, currently touring in the U.S. wrote a list of some of the things he has been doing over the past month in Israel.  About that list he writes, “At times it is helpful to survey what’s taken place and to appreciate the hand of the Lord in our simple acts of obedience.  I love it that by doing whatever we can to be a tool in His hands, day after day, our Father touches hearts and changes lives.  Are there yet challenges and problems?  Of course, we all live on the same earth, Israel being an especially intense, though physically small, portion of the globe.  That’s the point of these communiquĂ©s…to get a glimpse of where the Lord is answering prayers and where the remaining obstacles lie.”

Some of Eitan’s news and prayer requests concern the upcoming Katzir Summer Camp and the opening of their Coffee House outreach.  The summer camp has found a location for the camp this year and now they ask for prayer over all the details preparing to put it on.  The Coffee House is a vision to reach street traffic and some of the needs are listed inside the attached Weekly Summary.

Our friends in the Haifa Bay region, Tom and Ronit Bender are asking continued prayer for Tom who is fighting lymph node cancer with faith and alternative treatments.  It is a battle he has been fighting for two years and as his wife says, “He really is a walking miracle.”  Ronit reports that in his own health battle God has given Tom a new anointing to pray for the sick.  This they are doing regularly now as they visit the Italian hospice in their area where they are free to minister.  Their report inside the attached Weekly Summary includes information sensitive enough that we cannot share it publicly, but encourage subscribers to open the attachment and read.  Also, the Benders ask for the summer outreaches they will be involved with from their home congregation, Kehilat HaCarmel.  Please pray for this couple who are trusting God completely for Tom’s victory over an aggressive form of cancer.

From Asher Intrater’s ministry Revive Israel this week we have a super teaching (see below in Teaching Articles), as well as a report from Ron Cantor, the assistant pastor of Tiferet Yeshua in Tel Aviv.  Asher’s first book, The Apple of His Eye, has been re-issued with a new cover.  Asher, Ari Sorko-Ram, and Ariel Blumenthal will be ministering together in Hong Kong at the China "One King" Conference  from June 24-28.  For more info read the attached Weekly Summary.

The Beer Sheva congregation led by Howard and Randi Bass hosts many medical students from the nations who are studying in Israel, and Howard writes about the bitter-sweet time as students graduate and leave the congregational life.  He writes, “We have tried to instill in them the truth that they are Yeshua's/Jesus' witnesses and ambassadors wherever they are and in whatever they may be doing.  We have likewise learned much of what it is to live out the life in Messiah through some of them.  As the apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Rome, there is mutual encouragement and building up in the common faith that we have in Jesus.”

Bass also shares news of an Israeli just out of military service who the family welcomed into lives, and now is about to be baptized in the faith.  They also share a photo of their teen group that ministered at the national Shavuot gathering recently – songs written by one of the girls!   Also news that their daughter Rotem and Joey Magen are expecting their 2nd child in December.  Mazal Tov!

This link will take you to some e-mail exchanges between Howard and another a brother discussing what we believe the Scriptures teach about Israel, the Israel of God, the Commonwealth of Israel, and the Church of God.

David and Josie Silver were recently ministering in the U.K. when “the Lord began to speak to us about hosting an IRI prayer day in the UK. . . . With the situation Israel is facing right now with Syria, we believe it is crucial for us to intercede before our God for deliverance. We need to send forth “the arrow of the Lord’s deliverance” which is His word. . . We want to conduct this prayer day in a similar manner to our IRI prayer summits here in Israel, where we want you to participate in declaring the word of the Lord. Please advise us if you feel you would be interested in participating with us in this event and anyone you may want to bring along with you, this would assist us in selecting a venue. ”  Get contact info inside the attached Weekly Summary.

The Maoz Ministry prayer alert sent out a report by Martin and Norma Sarvis regarding the national drill Israel conducted last weekend.  Safe rooms that are sealed to keep out nerve gas and other chemical weapon attacks are now required throughout Israel.  You can see a description of the drill and an example of the safe room in the Sarvis’ apartment inside the attached Weekly Summary.

“PLEASE PRAY:  That Israel will be adequately prepared for any future attack from outside her borders.  PRAY for the mercies of God to release His divine counsel into the consciousness of those formulating and implementing these preparations. “

From the Caspari Media Review we have a report on a book by one of the leaders in the Eilat Messianic Congregation that was reviewed by the Eilat local paper.  “Judy Galblum-Pex’s book about the Sudanese refugees in Israel, which was recently published in Hebrew. The article describes how Judy is personally involved with the Sudanese refugees in Eilat, which is why she is able to write this “breathtaking account” of their journey from Sudan all the way through Egypt and the Sinai desert into Israel.”   This is such a good testimony – that is obvious from the Israeli reviewer.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Pray for David Ortiz who on June 6 will undergo laparoscopic surgery to remove a tumor that is one stage before cancer according to doctors. Please pray for Daniel Meyuseff who had to undergo surgery due to an intense infection. Harvest of Asher asks for continued prayer for M. who had surgery not long ago and is now having difficulty with the correct amount and type of medication to regulate insulin. Please hold him up in prayer for multiple health issues!  Also continue to pray for Elena, also in the Acco congregation.

Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Jane Hanson Hoyt is the leader of a worldwide women’s prayer organization that in recent years has opened up to men too.  Over many years now Jane has developed a strong relationship with Israeli Asher Intrater and has been pointing her organization in the direction of prayer for the harvest in Israel. Not every single person in the Aglow sphere of influence has the vision that Jane Hanson Hoyt has received, but it is no little thing when an organization encircling the globe catches the vision of the LORD’s harvest in Israel.

This week in Intrater’s weekly prayer letter he shares an article from Jane to her Aglow International group called TheBook of Acts is Coming Alive!   Jane writes:  “The Acts 1 commission leads to the Acts 2 revival. Being "sent out" from Jerusalem is a significant step.  It is a spiritual alignment that will release further the last day anointing and power.”  The full article is here.

We were really excited hearing this video of Asher's comments on this historic commissioning and alignment.

Eddie Santoro, who is the pastor of the Jerusalem Ahavat Yeshua congregation, gives several reports this week on the Shavuot Prayer Meeting that many of you joined via the live streaming feed, as well as the Shavuot annual picnic for Israeli believers that was held on the Yad HaShmonah grounds at Jerusalem.  Even wiped out after a 12-hour prayer and fasting vigil, the Santoros – like everyone we’ve heard from – had a fabulous time enjoying the company of fellow believers.   Eddie writes that over 1000 believers attended with their families and adds, “The remarkable growth of this event is a testimony to the increase of the Body over the past fifteen years. Please join us in praying that this growth will continue until “All Israel is saved”!”

Speaking of growth, Santoro also writes about the great number of births going on in their young congregation: four in past several months, five more on the way and five that all came into the world in October 2012.  They are having their own “little baby boom” in Messianic Israel.  Pray for these young families and the congregations that are taking care of them spiritually.

Eddie, who has a gift for writing about Israel’s current events – making the often complicated easy to follow – has another report in the Praying the Headlines section on the gathering storm clouds surrounding Israel.  You can read it inside the attached Weekly Summary.

Claude and Michelle Ezagouri of the Morning Star Fellowship (Or B’Darki) in Tiberias write about a tragedy that shook Israel last week when a valiant warrior who had saved lives during a terrorist attack a few years ago, committed suicide after killing four people in a Beer Sheva bank after being refused a loan.

The Israeli media also carried news last week that according to a report released in May by the 33-nation Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Israel has the highest poverty rate among OECD countries.  Israel’s poverty rate stood at close to 21% of the population in 2011.  These are not just statistical facts, but the reality that every congregation in Israel grapples with at many levels.

Ezagouri writes, “In the last few years, and especially because of the budget cuts, many people have gone into severe financial dire straits. This situation is causing many social problems and more and more children are sinking under poverty level. We need to pray that the government and more particularly the finance minister will get wisdom from the Lord and sensitivity to the lower classes of the Israeli society.”

Pray for the Ezagouri’s congregation which is in the midst of a new facility building project which has been mired in several permits complications.  They have received the permit for their bomb shelter but other permits are still crawling through the process.  They ask:  “Please don't lower your praying arms on our behalf.”  Pray also for their contractor Ruslan, that the LORD would supernaturally heal him of vertebra pain from an accident.

Their youth – who are on fire for the Lord in the north – are pressing into their long term vision.  Pray that God will open doors for these young people.  Also pray for the coming summer camps for both teens and children!

Guy Cohen of the Harvest of Asher congregation in Acco reports good news for the 4 people they have had injured or hospitalized for life threatening situations recently, in that all are on the road to recovery.  Thank God for answering the prayers of the saints for the saints.

Guy notes two areas for prayer, one a door that has been opened for Jews in Hungry to make aliyah to Israel; and two, he is asking continued prayer for them to be able to prepare for war by fulfilling the vision they have for a multi-function warehouse humanitarian facility.  Pray for all the Israeli ministries who are storing up for the ability to help their communities in a time of war everyone knows is coming.

In Arad, Lura and Eddie Beckford have gotten to the root of why their landlord is suddenly trying to sell their home out from under them: Yad L’Achim are applying great pressure on him to do so.  They are looking for an investor to purchase the property – a landlord that cannot be pressured by anti-Gospel activists.

If you have money to invest in Israel, think about buying property for the use of the believers. One of the issues with believers all over Israel is that landlords are pressured by 'anti-missionary' groups like Yad L'Achim, to kick believers out of their rental houses. This happens over and over again, as believers are chased from one house to the other.

In the days of the prophet Jeremiah, as Israel was going into captivity, the prophet purchased a parcel of land as a sign that Israel would return to the Land. If you believe that God is visiting salvation on Israel and you have investment money, making an investment in land whereby the believing Remnant can put down deep roots is ALSO a prophetic sign - that salvation has come to Israel and is there to stay.

Yo-yakim and Debbie Figeuras who pastor the Hebrew congregation in Arad (which has been holding their meetings in the home of the Beckfords) have a building in Arad to house their congregation, but are caught in the web of bureaucratic treachery dealing with a zoning variance board intent on inventing reasons they cannot grant the variance.

Another challenge they face is that a helpful, sympathetic friend in the Arad police department who stepped up enforcement against demonstrations against the believers in Arad, has lost his position. They ask prayer for this man.

We want to note that the Arad police department is like most of the police departments in Israel: of very  little help in protecting the believers from religious persecution and harassment. What is worse in the case of Arad is that there is a high concentration of incidents that has gone on almost daily for approaching a decade.  Let’s pray over the Israeli police using this Arad Police station as a point of contact – for the breaking forth of recognition of Messiah to being to take place in Police stations across Israel!   What the enemy has meant for evil, the LORD is able to turn for good.

Calev Myers of the Jerusalem Institute of Justice writes this week about representing the Makor HaTikvah Messianic School in Jerusalem after the Ministry of Education issued a closure order on the school claiming a failure to meet licensing requirements.  The courts found for the school to remain open for the present school year and to have the opportunity to receive a license for the next school year, based on the standard State requirements.

These types of red tape battles are going on continually against the believers in Israel and the Jerusalem Institute of Justice is involved in fighting many of them.  Donations help the JIJ to do their work for believers on a necessary pro bono basis.

Jacob Damkani reports on recent groups they have led through Israel who had “a willingness to do whatever it takes to bring the Good News to the chosen people of God, what a humble spirit, what a love for the Israelis!”

Damkani is no stranger to opposition from anti-Messianic groups in Israel.  He writes:  “Whenever we threaten the kingdom of darkness the enemies of the Gospel are not far. They are coming to (Damkani’s Hotel) Gilgal often, talk to our guests and the believers who come to visit - trying to convince them of their man-made religion and bring them against us. Some of the young believers are intimidated by that. We know that the religious people often have crafty methods, talk to employers or landlords in order to bring them against the believers they employ or rent apartments to - sadly often with success. Please pray especially for the young believers, pray that those attacks will only make them stronger and even more confident in what they believe. With all this said we see that the Lord always turns these curses and attacks into blessing and He is making use of them for His glory and for the salvation of many!”

The Sorko-Rams of Maoz Israel write:  “As you will be able to read in the upcoming Maoz Israel Report, Asher and Betty Intrater, who are now leading our Tel Aviv Congregation, are setting some goals for the congregation.  Please PRAY for the Lord's guidance and leading for Asher, Betty and elders. PRAY for our congregants to catch the vision of salvation of all Israel and be active in seeing this vision accomplished. PRAY for non-believers to be drawn to Tiferet Yeshua, where they can find answers and be saved. PRAY for the new believers believers (people have been coming to faith every week recently).”

Ron Cantor, another in leadership at the Tiferet Yeshua congregation in Jerusalem, asks for prayer as he and wife Elana move nearer to the congregation located south of Tel Aviv where rentals are from 30 to 40% higher than where they live north of Tel Aviv.  They need to be closer to the activity going on in the body of the congregation – at an affordable price, with a large living room good for hosting lots of people and they must be moved by the end of July.

Cantor also asks prayer for his mastery of Hebrew, which he desires to become more fluent;  for inspiration as he writes a sequel to his book Identity Theft; and also for his whole family.. . .one daughter, Danielle, is still serving in the Golan Heights and tensions are high there.

Please pray for all the Messianic families whose children and loved ones are on active duty now.  Pray for their military and government leaders to make wise decisions over all actions or inactions. Pray for the Messianic soldiers to be excellent, discerning and like a strong tower of refuge to their fellow soldiers in the field.

Urgent HEALING Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue
Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives or other urgent health needs:

Please pray for the wife of Ariel Ben David, who leads an Eilat Congregation, and also for his worship leader, both of whom were recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Please continue to pray for Neriyah Arabov, a Chosen People minister in Bat Yam who needs a kidney transplant. He has a donor, but due to some compatibility issues, Neriyah is undergoing treatments now that they hope will remove the compatibility issues.  Pray for the treatments to be successful.   Please continue to pray for Katya Morrison at Tents of Mercy recovering from bone marrow transplant for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (see update below); Tom in the Galilee is believing for victory over cancer in Carmel.  Pray for Ami Ortiz for ongoing issues from the bomb blast – and that he would win the appeal for government recognition that he is a terror victim.  It would mean benefits for the continuing surgeries and legal expenses; Ariel of Succat Hallel; Elise Levine suffering from mysterious and debilitating leg pain for over a year.  Pray for Kay Wilson still suffering from PTSD after surviving a stabbing terrorism attack that her friend did not survive.   Keep Baby Netaley’s full recovery in your prayers. Please pray for Daniel Meyuseff who had to undergo surgery this week due to an intense infection. He is back home recovering, although doctors have not closed the incision because the infection is still dangerous.  Harvest of Asher asks for continued prayer for M. who had surgery not long ago and is now having difficulty with the correct amount and type of medication to regulate insulin. Please hold him up in prayer for multiple health issues!

From Guy Cohen in Acco  PRAISE REPORT! Elena has begun treatments and the medication she was prescribed has only been available for the last 3 years and is the most compatible for treating the specific type of cancer that she is being treated for. It was added to the benefits package only a short time ago and so instead of costing 30,000 shekels ($8,500) per month she receives it at no cost.  Hallelujah!  Please continue to pray for her full recovery and for the effects of the chemo and radiation treatments beginning this week - also for legal expenses that stem from her employer having failed to pay disability insurance as he was supposed to.

From Katya Morrison:  In about a week I am supposed to have another bone marrow biopsy and then in another 3 weeks, an appointment to discuss the findings, which I hope will be no leukemia.  Let’s pray for the miracle report of NO LEUKEMIA in Katya, and also that her immune system will continue to re-build to 100%, in the name of Yeshua.

Praying the Headlines

Inside the Weekly Summary Eddie Santoro reports on the gathering storm clouds of war around Israel.  Eddie has a gift for making the many issues plain. Please read.

Also, in other news, Jack Teitel, the ‘Jewish Terrorist’ appeals the verdict in his case to the Supreme Court, where it will be argued that the court ignored mental assessments.

Ha!  Two ironies here:
One, Ami Ortiz, who almost died in the bomb blast Teitel placed with the help of co-conspirators at the family doorstep, has been denied medical and legal benefits due to terrorism victims because Israel has deemed it impossible that a Jew-on-Jew bombing could be the result of terrorism.  Yet Teitel is continually referred to as “the Jewish terrorist” in the Israeli news media.  What is really impossible is for someone to not be responsible for their actions due to mental instability when they are involved in a co-conspiracy to commit the act of terrorism.  Now that is a double-whammy irony in my book.  Read more on this story inside the attached Weekly Summary.

Also, in other news, Israel Today reports that Yad L’Achim, the anti-christ activist group that Jack Teitel confessed to working with, have been targeting the a Messianic community in the coastal city of Bat Yam.  Read all about it inside the attached Weekly Summary.
