The true strength of every nation on the face of theearth is the believing remnant within it. Thisis also true of Israel although many Israel-supporters of the world do notgrasp the significance of the indigenous believers in Israel. We have a lot to say about “ReplacementTheology” but this tendency of believers supporting Israel while at the sametime completely ignoring the Body of Messiah IN Israel is itself aharmful form of replacement theology.

Our first offering in the attached Weekly Summary comes from asecond-generation Messianic ministry in Israel and he is speaking to what God’scalling on the “righteous, prophetic remnant within Israel” is toward allIsraelis. No one from the outside can do what God has positioned theindigenous Body in Israel to do. (Andby “outside” I mean more than physical location. Gal 2:8) We must come toacceptance of that truth and lift up theirarms to fulfill their calling to all Israel.

Off the beaten tourist bus paths of Jerusalem and the Galilee, theIsraeli people whom God loves are being ministered to by small ministries whoare mostly unknown to the Christian community that participates in supportingIsrael. These are doing to work of theLord in dangerous areas – like on the northern border with Israel or in thedangerous region that missiles from Gaza are reaching. Sometimes is seemsChristians are overly interested in ministry to the religious in Jerusalem,than the common folk in the rest of Israel. Yeshua did not park his ministry in Jerusalem and the common folk Hesaid would enter the kingdom before the religious.

Pray for the smaller, least known ministries throughout the Land of Israel tobe encouraged in the LORD and in the greater Body of Christ. That they would be granted grace for theirwork and included in the provision of the literally billions of dollarsChristians are giving toward mostly non-believer works in Israel. At some point, the Body is going to maturepast the Jerusalem-only, religious-only fascination and get the heart of Yeshuafor ALL Israel. How long, Lord? Howlong?

From the north in Acco we received the report of The Harvest of Ashercongregation which is doing leadership training on several levels and buildingstrong ministry foundations among its people. This congregation has been in a conscious mode of preparing to beministry outreach and resources for their city in the time of war everyone inIsrael knows is coming. Read inside theattached Weekly Summary how you canhelp. Pray for all the leadershiptraining going on it the Land, and for faithful, solid tiers of leadership tobe raised up in all the ministries.

The DAILY Arrow from Zion over the last few days hashighlighted how even among Israeli congregational and ministry leaders, keepingwarm in the winter has been challenging. Few can afford the expense of air conditioning in the summer or heatingin the winter. Please continue to pray for those Israeli ministry leaders who are in the midstof writing or final edits of books (Eitan, Uzi, Ron and Arni). Pray for each of these writers to befilled with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to complete the works the LORDhas put in their hearts. Pray for the discipline of writing to be transformedinto deeply motivated drive to setdown into words all the overflow of their hearts. (Please pray for my writing too as I havebegun a comprehensive article on the Beer Sheva lawsuit – and a book afterthat!)

A newpoll in Israel has shown that 80% of Israeli Jews believe that God exists, 65%believe the Torah and mitzvot (religious commandments) are God-given, and 56%believe in life after death. But that doesn't mean Jews in general are becomingmore religious, at least not in an Orthodox Jewish way. … The numbers, however, coincide with other recent findings that Israelis areincreasingly hungry for a deeper spiritual life. Pray for Israeli Jews to find Him who theyare really hungry for.

Eddie Santoro marks the 70^th anniversary of the Wannasee Conferencewhere 15 Nazis drew up the practical steps of the genocide of the Jewish peoplewith an article that puts those events into a spiritual perspective that isstill relevant in the headlines of our day. Read it online.

Purim – which the book of Esther is about – begins Wednesday, March 7, 2012, and ends in theevening of Thursday, March 8, 2012. Revive-Israelis inviting intercessors, prayer groups and congregations to join in a 12 hourprayer and Esther fast from 6 AM to 6 PM Wednesday, March 8^th. A prayer topic outline and details will beshared here in coming weeks.

Two Israeli Messianic congregations are helping totake care of the family needs of Umar Mulinde who has been flown to Israel formedical treatment after being attacked with acid at his church in Kampala,Uganda. Mulinde, a Muslim who wastrained to be an Imam, came to faith in Yeshua after a supernaturalrevelation. He was attacked on Dec 24^thafter 300 people received Yeshua at the church he pastors. The Israeli Prime Minister’s officeintervened and had Mulinde flow to Israel for treatment. Read more of thisremarkable story inside the attached WeeklySummary – and pray for Umar Mulinde.

Dan Juster gives perspective to the news stories rocking Israel over the pastmonth as the ultra-Orthodox increase in violations of the human rights ofIsraelis. Messianic Jews have beentargeted by these types of violations for many years, but now the nation is upin arms at the attitude of religious zealots that they are a law untothemselves. Keep Ariela and Sophie in your prayers as the go through weeks ofisolation as cancer treatments are administered that place their immune systemsat high risk.

Pray for the wives of the Israeli congregational leaders and ministries. Although the husband is most often the faceof the ministry, the wives are truly partnered in the work of theministry. Also, according to 1 Timothy5:3 Honor widows that are widows indeed. Honoring mothers and fathers isa sign of the spiritual healthy.

Urgent Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue

Last week we were able to give you an update on Sophie Benson, Tom and JoeShulam. This week we have updates forAriela in Arad and Brookie in the Galilee:

Ariela had a CT scan 10 days ago,which showed she still has growths in her liver and belly. After that, they took a biopsy: The biopsycame back, and - it's a miracle - there is no cancer in the liver. The littlecancer that is left in the belly, the doctors are hoping, will be eliminatedwith the new Chemotherapy they will be applying. On the 2ndof February, Ariela will be hospitalized, and start a session ofChemotherapy, with a new medicine they haven't yet tried on her, a treatmentthat will take 10 days. According to thedoctors, her situation is OK and as expected. They hope that by July, she will be all right. They are also gratefulthat the transplant was very successful. Ariela is full of hope, and evenexpects to start working again in July. Thank you for all your prayers.

From a believer in the Galilee: I go to congregation with Brookie and she truly is a walkingmiracle. Her testimony of faith for her healing has spread here like wildfire.Her love for the Lord is contagious.

Romans 9, 10 and 11 are the most completeexposition of God’s purposes in blinding Israel to the promised Messiah in allof the Bible. The apostle set down toexplain the mystery that he warned Christians not to be ignorant of. Now that the blinding of Israel is beingremoved, so much of the Church stands in need of blinders being removed to thisgreat mystery. Pray blinders are beingremoved on both sides.

Isaiah 6:9-10-11 And He said, Go, andtell this people, 'Hear indeed, but understand not; and see indeed, butperceive not. Make the heart of thispeople fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see withtheir eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, andconvert, and be healed.' Then said I,Lord, how long?

Rom 11:32-33 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have mercyupon all. O the depth of the riches bothof the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and Hisways past finding out!

Arni Klein received a word on last day of last year – Black & Whitebeing a prophetic sign of the coming year. When Light and Darkness come in greater contrast the grey areas ofmotives and foundations are revealed. We have arrived at a threshold – let usdraw near and see our own hearts in His Light. Arni also shared a good word about the disappointing verdict that came in theBeer Sheva court case a while back when the courts did not protect the Body ofMessiah from religious persecutors. “Inthe natural, one might say it didn’t turn out well considering all the time,energy, resources, prayer, and heart that was sown during those days. We generally expect victory to look a certainway. As we perceived it that battle wasnot really about right and wrong or our reputation. Our hearts’ desire was that the soulsimprisoned by a cultish religious structure would be freed.”

Arni continues: Over recent months the darkness of the orthodox systemhas been front-page news. The cover hasbeen pulled back revealing their intolerance of any one different as beingquite ugly and surprisingly violent. Could it be that we are witnessing an unexpected face of victory? Rather than this spirit being bound, it isbeing given more freedom so all might see it as it really is. … Beloved, this is a strategictime to focus our prayers on those that are hearing the Lord calling. May this exposure be the push that givesthose that really do love the truth the strength and conviction to make thebreak.”

Pray for the Yeshua booklet written by a young IDF believer, along withhis dad whose ministry in the Galilee is the Heart of God. While this booklet is now at graphic designand translation stage, the young lion and his dad are already at work with the2^nd booklet in the series to present the gospel from a Jewishperspective and answering common Jewishobjections to Yeshua. Pray for God’sanointing on their work and the witness that is going forth.

This week we have several in the Israeli Body who are bringing forth originalworks designed specifically to speak to the Jewish people. From Asher Intrater’s Who Ate Lunch with Abraham, to the One-For-Israel social networksites, to a new site launched the Restorers of Zion to address the objectionsof anti-missionaries, the Spirit of the LORD is surely stirring thesewaters. Pray for all these whom God isusing to establish effective tools for reaching Jews with the good news.

There is fruit that is already being produced from each of these – prayfor those who have come to faith forsafety, humility, basic discipleship, congregational fellowship, and for theirtestimonies to stay pure and powerful. Pray also for those in whom the seed of faith has been planted – that itwill be watered, nurtured and bloom into full-scale new birth in Yeshua.

One of the mothers in Zion is lifting a banner for the prodigals – especially thoseprodigal children of ministries in the Land. Let us join with her in proclaiming the return of the prodigals. As it is written, ‘Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he shallnot depart from it.’ “Return,you backsliding children, And I will heal your backslidings.’ ‘Behold we do come to You, For You arethe LORD our God.”

Revive Israel is inviting congregations and prayer groups to join inwith the Messianic believers in Israel on the traditional Jewish Esther Fast onWed Mar 7. The will be providing detailsin the coming weeks for this strategic intercessory event. Watch the WeeklySummary for further details.

We have three strong praise reports this week frombelievers who have been on our Urgent Need prayer list – Sophie Benson, Tom andJoe Shulam. Each is reporting boldly, "Peopleall over the world have been praying for me” and it is making a difference intheir battles. You can read theindividual praise reports inside the Weekly Summary. Sophie entered the hospital for a bone marrowtransplant on Monday. Pray that the LORDcould complete the good work He has begun in them for healing.

Praise God that He is answering the prayer needs ofthe congregations in the Land, as Joe Shulam wrote so eloquently, “whenthe Body of the Messiah is working and being what it ought to be, and stressingthe unity of the whole Body of the Messiah across denominational lines andacross continents and across races, the power released is truly capable to movemountains.”

The congregation in Acco has an answer to pray fortranslators in their service. On the Friday Shabbat service the coming week thecongregation will host 55 Korean guests. Pray for the blessing of the LORD to be on that connection.

In Haifa and Nazareth, the sister congregations to Acco are also experiencingnew breakthroughs and new challenges. They ask prayer over the finalizing of their building purchase, andinvite volunteer groups to come for short term ministry opportunities in therenovation work. Read more inside the Weekly Summary.

We sent a DAILY Arrow from Zion out for urgent prayerfor two Druze believer families last week. We want to continue to pray for the believers who are living in theirDruze communities. There are often times flare ups of violence against becauseof their faith in Yeshua. Pray for thegrace of God to sustain them, protect them and cause the Light of the Lord toshine in their villages.

Pray for the various ministry, theological and leadership programs that arebeing offered in various parts of the country – and various streams of thefaith. Some do not realize but just asthere are many streams of conviction in Christianity, the same holds true inthe Israeli Messianic community. Like inthe tradition of secular “sister cities” pray for like-minded streams in Christianityto connect with sister congregations in Israel for the furthering of the agendaof God for both.

It is not too early to begin to consider where to give toward distribution ofPassover food baskets to low-income Israelis. On unsaved rabbi runs TV ads with crying elderly immigrants in Israeland is likely the largest recipient of Christians donations to Israel. But do you know he is also extremely vocalabout opposing sharing the gospel with Jews? Israeli Messianic ministries not only feed the poor, but they also do soin the Name and the power of Messiah Yeshua. Why debate which is good, betteror best?

Again we ask for prayers for the elderly Jews – some Holocaustsurvivors, others beloved family members of believers. Some have been near the gospel for years buthave not made the decision for Yeshua; some are being newly wooed by theSpirit. Pray for these dear souls to seeYeshua and step into eternity with Him.

Inside the Weekly Summary are two summaries of recent articlesabout legal actions involving the Messianic attorneys at the JerusalemInstitute of Justice. One involves acitizenship challenge won by the wife of our friend Tzachi. The other a challenge to the tax exemptionsthat exclude religious minorities. Prayfor these important legal challenges – Daniel anointing on the attorneys!

There is no Israeli that is not alert and concernedwith the rapid descent of stability in the nations surrounding them. Like Job, the LORD does have a line that Hewill not allow the enemy to cross in touching Israel, BUT that is not to saythat our prayers for Israel’s peace and protection cannot have a limitingimpact on death and destruction. Prayfor great wisdom in Israel’s leaders and an Issachar anointing on theintercessors for Israel that they may praying with an understanding of thetimes AND with spiritual wisdom from Above.

Pray for the Jewish believers and the Christian Arab believers who do the hardwork of reconciling as brothers in the LORD. Pray for the LORD Himself to give breakthrough spiritual vision thatallows His wisdom to be received and embraced.

As the week progressed we noticed a key pointon the minds of Israeli ministries was the increase of spiritual warfare theyare under as believers in Israel. Theycarry the same pressures as all Israelis of being the target of demonic hatredas Israeli Jews, but they also carry an additional target on their backsbecause they are the FEET OF YESHUA IN THE HOLY LAND. They need the help of spiritual warriors todo all they have been called to do.

Pray that the efforts to inform and educate Christians on how to support theDESIRE of the LORD for Israel to begin to make greater headway. For breakthroughs in the learning curve thatwill release an Issachar anointing among the intercessors for Israel.

Arrows from Zion Strategically Aimed for the Lord’s Harvest in Israel

Have you noticed in recent weeks the online Israeli newspapers in anuproar over the religious ultra-orthodox incidents forcing their convictions onother Israelis? Messianic believers havebeen the central target of that persecution for many years, now it ispredictably spilling over into the general population. The Sorko-Ram’s have put out an informativeYouTube video to explain what is going on called Jews vs. Jews…the Battle forIsrael.

This religious vs. secular battle does not remove the Israeli Body of Messiahfrom continuing to be a central target of persecution. Their verypresence in the Land is the substanceof things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen – when theMessiah will rule over mount Zion and the “Holy Land” will truly be holinessunto the LORD.

As one Jerusalem pastor wrote last week, “The battle between the forces ofdarkness and the Kingdom of God is intensifying. The center of this world widebattle is Israel and the most contested place within Israel is the city ofJerusalem. And finally within the city of Jerusalem, the Body of Messiah is theultimate target. Our presence in the city of Jerusalem is a propheticdeclaration that the day of the Lord is drawing near.”

Pray for the Body of Messiah in Israel for the battle against them doesnot come out just in one direction but in many directions – from the enemies ofthe Jewish people and from the enemies of the gospel. Pray Deuteronomy 28:7 "The LORD will cause yourenemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall comeout against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”

The Jerusalem pastor nailed it: “Everyvictim of terror in Israel is ultimately attacked for being a manifestation ofGod's prophetic promise to restore Israel. How much more is this true for thosewho carry the promise of the spiritual as well as the physical restoration.”

The Messianic attorneys of the Jerusalem Institute of Justice reportedtwo recent victories for Israeli Messianic Jews who were targeted last year byreligious intolerance and one case of discrimination in a citizenship rightscase. In the first incident, Israelprayer notes that for many weeksduring the summer of 2011 we were providing prayer points forintercessors. This is where thespiritual warfare intersects with the steps taken in the natural to combatpersecution.

The Jerusalem Institute of Justice has successfully handled over 440 casesincluding 18 Supreme Court victories, which contribute to the advancement ofreligious freedom and overall democratic values in Israeli society – clearly thelaw is on the side of freedom, but justice is often achieved only by an answerfrom Heaven. Being able to pray in aninformed way as events are unfolding undoubtedly undergirds the success of these Messianic attorneys who standup for the Body of Messiah in Israel.

Prayer also helps breakthrough in giving the media eyes to see. As one Christian journalist who covers Muslimpersecution of Christians admitted, “I want to apologize. I thought yourpersecution (Israeli Messianic Jewish) was not real.” This is still a major hurdle to overcome inthe Israel-supporting Church – to have eyes to see the truth of these mattersand stand with the Body of believers.

Subscribers need to see how the prayersprayed at the time of the events factored in to ultimately winning thebattle. Enemies without and enemies within…and then really within! Prayalso for the saints in Israel to do personal, individual battle over the spiritof offense rising up against each other. The battle that goes on in our own minds is really the greatest battlethan any of us ever face and must gain victory in if we are to be effective forthe purposes of the kingdom of the LORD. Psalm 103:8 “The LORD is merciful andgracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.” We are called tobe like Him.

We are hearing reports of influential Israelis who are comingto the LORD – this is not like the ‘urban legend’ stories that circulate about70 rabbis who have secretly come to faith – this is real. Pray for “M” an influential Israeli whorecently came to faith. Pray for theseed planted to be protected and for this person to receive the watering ofdiscipleship that will anchor his walk in faith.

The gospel is also being shared in Muslim communities by Jewish ministers andalso by Arab pastors who are financially supported by Israeli Jewishministries. The witness of the power ofYeshua to unite Jewish and Arab brothers in Messiah to labor together for thesalvation of their people is a mighty work that God is doing mostly under theradar of the world – including the Church. Pray for these strategic alliances: “There is one Body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hopeof your calling.” Eph 4:4

An evangelist based out of the Tel Aviv area but whoministers throughout the streets of Israel as the Spirit leads, also findshimself targeted by the “missionary police.” He is also featured in photos on a Jewish “anti-missionary”activist website – with a red circle drawn around his face and labeled “Kotelbandit”. Pray for Yeshua to be revealedto these persecutors of believers like the apostle Paul before them. Ro 10:2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

In Arad, all the nuisance court cases against the Beckfords havebeen resolved, but they are back in court helping other believers answer falsecharges. Pray for the courts in Israel as“lawfare” is a common tactic to wear down believers through expense and thestresses of defending against false charges (like assault). Pray also for the police departments and citygovernments where Messianic Jews often do not receive due notice when violated –even when children are intimidated with death threat.

Pray for those Messianic believers who not only are not persuaded by intimidationto run away from the areas they are being afflicted in, but who are insteadpressing into greater visions of setting down deep roots in the location. We know of so many with great visions fromGod to build spaces for the Body of Messiah. Pray for provisional breakthroughsfor each of these visions in the Name of the LORD Yeshua.

There are so many expressions of the Messiah’s love in the diverse ministriesof Israel – like the many colored coat of Joseph each of the expressions isbeautiful in their own right. There isno reason for every ministry to be exactly like the other, but only for everyministry to faithfully be about the Father’s business that has been given toeach of them. It is not a competition –it is a magnificent orchestration that together produces beautiful musiccalling the lost to safe haven. Pray forthe different expressions to value each other.

Messianic congregations in Israel arefilled with people who need jobs and it is a longstanding issue for thepastors. Pray for the favor of the LORDon those who need jobs. Pray also forthe provision of the ministries who are doing humanitarian aid – not only amongtheir own communities but in the highways and byways.

Pray for the Israeli ministries embarking on tours and also welcoming inconference attendees: "Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall yoube whenyou go out.” We thank God for a quickgood report overnight after hearing that Joseph Shulum of Congregation RoehYisrael had to be rushed to a NYC hospital upon arrival from Israel with heartattack symptoms. Followup tests havebeen negative and Shulam is feeling much better, though doctors continue totest. Pray for this pioneer of faith inIsrael to be able to continue in his planned journey.

Last week we shared a special word from David Ortiz in Ariel, Dreadful Dream, that is the warning of anassignment from hell that has gone out against those declaring salvation to theJewish people, and how some believers think themselves "safe" if theyjust keep out of the way, un-involved.

It is significant that this dream was given to David, whose youngest sonwas miraculously spared death after opening a bomb rigged gift basket that hadbeen left at their doorstep by a religious anti-messianic zealot in 2008. Thefamily knows both the horror of being struck by demonic hatred, and alsoignored in their crisis by spiritual brothers ‘keeping neutral.’

David wrote of the dream, “I heard anannouncement that was made from Hell, saying, “There is a sword that has beenissued to cut down those that are declaring the message of salvation to theJewish people that Yeshua is the Messiah. It should cut them down topieces.”

In the same couple of days last week, we heard of similar dreams – somecredible, some not. We also heard of twoviolent attacks on members of one Jerusalem congregation one week apart. A sword of hell against the Body of Messiahin Israel is credible as evidenced in these two attacks.

We don’t share these things to be alarmist, but we do believe that it isspiritual indication of increased warfare against the Body in Israel. Please make this our prayer priority for thisseason. (You can read David’s full dream online here.)

1 Corinthians 14: 15Paul says, “I will pray with the spirit, and Iwill also pray with the understanding.” 1 Chronicles 12:32 says, “the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know whatIsrael ought to do.”

There are all kinds of prayers going up for Israel. We know of people who only want to pray forIsrael by the Spirit with no personal knowledge of the issues. We know others who want to pray for Israelbased on the opinions of traditional religious right-wing political view points. Our conviction is that the superior way topray in agreement with God’s will for Israel is to align ourselves to hear whatGod is speaking to the saved Remnant, the Body of Messiah in Israel. Armed with this insider information, we maypray in the Spirit and with understanding.

Pray for an increase in those willing to break out of old patterns for prayingfor Israel and enter into a new level of contending for the salvation ofIsrael. Psalm 144:1 and 10 Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battl e …TheOne who gives salvation to kings,Who delivers David His servant From the deadly sword.

For thesecond week in a row another member of a Jerusalem congregation has beenattacked by Muslim Arabs. We believethis adds credence to the “Dreadful Dream” shared by David Ortiz and ask for amajor prayer focus to rise up against the sword issued from hell against thosedeclaring the gospel to Jews. ProclaimIsaiah 54:17:
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against youin judgment You shall condemn. This is theinheritance of the servants of the LORD,And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD.

Psalm 141:3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth;keep the door of my lips. In line with the teaching this week from AsherIntrater of how “a flood of words” and twisted words are a mainstay weaponof Satan to create division, mistrust and offense among the saints – even ourprayers can bombard heaven with a flood of accusation against a certain personor body. Let us cut off word cursesfrom every direction they are flowing – even from our own lips.

It is not only the UN thatmounts a war of lying words against Israel, but major religious leaders – evenmajor respected names in the ministry in the United States – are also spinningout extreme lies against the Jewish State. Real atrocities are beingperpetrated by Muslim extremism around the Middle East while Christian leadersmeet in Bethlehem in Dec 2011 to define Israel as an “illegal regime” and a“crime against humanity.”

They also declared that the more neutral Churches are “accomplices in crimesagainst humanity” and attacks Christian Zionism as “a crime and sin as defying the coreof the Gospel”. Pray that God will deliver these deceived souls! The fog of deception cleared away from theminds of Christians embracing lies of the enemies of God’s purposes. (When stuff like this stops offendingyou, check yourselves. You may be indifferent to the people that the wholeBible is filled with promises to save.)

Deuteronomy 28:9 "The LORD will establish you as a holy people toHimself, just as He has sworn to you.” Thank the LORD with the Bass family whodedicated their granddaughter to the LORD last Shabbat, and marked their 30years in Israel as a 3-generation Messianic Israeli family. Mazel Tov! Howard shares highlights fromtheir spiritual journey inside the attached WeeklySummary with pictures of their family and co-laborers at Yeshua’sInheritance congregation in Beer Sheva.

Pray for the families of the ministries across Israel for maturity untogodliness - that “our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughterslike pillars carved to adorn a palace.” Psalm 144:12 “All your children shallbe taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13

There are 150+Messianic congregations and many other home groups throughout the Land ofIsrael with an estimated 15,000+ individual Messianic Jewish believers. One recent Facebook post showed the pictureof a smiling young man holding a card that said, “0.2%”. The post read, “I am an Israeli Jew who came to faith inYeshua. I am the 0.2%!” Pray for theindividuals in the Israeli Body of Messiah, who are the Temple of Living Stonesbeing raised up by Yeshua – and the laborers in His harvest field.

Pray for thoseministries who go out into the highways and byways of Israel ministering to thepeople the LORD directs in their paths. Christiantourists to Israel see only a tiny glimpse of what life is like in the “HolyLand” – mostly the 5-star hotels and the ancient ruins. Where real Israelis live, this is a differentworld. Pray for those who are listeningto the cry of their people, Israel, and answering with the good news of hope inMessiah.

There are many stresses in Israel – not the least of which is being the objectof irrational demonic hatred all over the world! In a world without Yeshua, people cope withthese kinds of pressure in a multitude of self-destructive lifestyles. Yet Yeshua said that He came for those thatneeded healing – those that were living unrighteous, not the pious. Pray for secular, unbelieving Israel to meetthe Healer of men’s souls.

In northern Israel one ministry is in the final stages of completing a sales contractfor a congregational building. All hasbeen smooth sailing until now and pressure has come against the seller. The man consented to prayer from thebelievers. Stand in agreement with themfor the completion of the deal at the early agreed price and also for healingfor the seller – as a witness strengthening faith to believe on Yeshua.

In the Galilee one congregation is looking over the past year with gratefulthanks for God’s goodness toward them. 29 people were immersed (baptized) this year, including a couple who are87 years old! Pray for the elderly inIsrael to open their hearts to reconcile with God through His MessiahYeshua.

While two members of this congregation passed away in 2011, there were 12babies born. Pray for this livelycongregation – and for all the congregations of Israel – to increase in numbersand grace in 2012. Pray for theirexpansion needs to be met – for finances and the physical location to openup. They are “pressed down, and shaken together, and running over” as many Israeli congregations are. Pray that men would give into their bosom forthe needs to be met, according to Luke 6:38.

Thank God for the healing and other miracles going on at thiscongregation. An unbeliever (the motherof a man who came to faith a few years ago) was healed of liver disease andgave her life to Yeshua. Later herdaughter and her daughter’s family also came to faith as a result of themiracle. This man was the first in hisfamily to know the Lord. Pray for thebelievers who are God’s seed of salvation planted in their families.

Psalm 91:7 and 13 says, “A thousand may fall at your side, Andten thousand at your right hand; [But] it shall not come near you…. You shalltread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shalltrample underfoot.” Thank God for the poisonous scorpion that fell from the leg of theyoungest son of a Tiberius pastor. Thenext day the scorpion was finally found lurking inside the car and wasliterally trampled underfoot having harmed no one.

Psalm 102:16 says, “For the Lordwill build up Zion and He shall be appear in His glory.” This is also the theme given by the Holy Spiritfor the 11^th annual intercessors prayer gathering that the Silver’sof Out of Zion ministries will be hosting in May. They noted that the word translated “appear”is in the Hebrew in fact, “visible.” Thisbears great witness, for as the LORD is building up Zion, He is VISIBLE in theglory that His people are carrying within themselves. It is the glory of the LORD on His servantsin Israel that is drawing unbelieving Israelis to the faith in Messiah.

Pray for all of the Israeli Messianic tours, conferences and othergatherings that will take place in Israel this year. That God will bring about a new level ofcommitment to the Body in Israel – and an awakening in the churches AND themessianic congregations of how crucially key the Body of Messiah in Israel is onevery spiritual level.

The fall out of the so-called Arab Spring has brought great devastation to MiddleEastern nations and the Christians in those nations have been the prime targetsof violence by Islamist extremist groups stoking the fires of unrest. Inside the Weekly Summary this week we sharereports from many ME nations thanks to the JNN (Jerusalem News Network) ofBarry & Batya Segal.

We agree with the Segal’s urging: “Please take time in your home group meetingsand prayer gatherings to pray for the Christians of Pakistan and other regionsincreasingly permeated by Islamic terror and domination. Intercede for thecourage and protection of our persecuted brothers and sisters in Yeshua, aswell as for the needs of those members of church communities, friends andfamilies close to home. “

Urgent Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue

Pray for Kevin, an elder at Adonai Roi Messianic who has undergone gallbladder surgery and some complication with a hole in this stomach that doctorswere slated to repair. He has been inlots of pain.

Please pray for Lorena Silveira (Ha-Makom) and her and Eduardo’s son, Kenneth,who have celiac disease & cannot eat foods with gluten, also for son Bruchelwho also has severe food allergies.

Israelprayer: A personal updateon our grandson Karl who just marked the one year anniversary of a carcrash that caused Severe Traumatic Brain Injury with Diffuse Axona Injury. Karl has come a long way since he landed inthe SICU. One indication of just how faris that when he and his parents went back on the 1-year anniversary to the SICUward and saw many of the nurses who attended Karl in the early weeks last year,several of the nurses cried when they saw him. The odds of Karl ever waking out of the coma, or when he did, ever beingmore than alive in a vegetative state were extremely grim. BUT GOD and the prayers of the saints on thismailing list who fought with us for Karl’s life to be spared. In no small measure, our previous experiencewith the miracles that God worked in restoring Ami Ortiz from impossibleinjuries buoyed our faith for Karl.
Thank you, one and all for prayersthat have granted life and a second change to our grandson. Karl is not 100% restored. He still walks with a shuffle that isdistinct to brain injuries – but he is improving steadily over the pastyear. He still has short term memoryproblems, but his wit has returned. Every time we see him there is improvement although a new issue – that ofhis frustration because he is not fully restored. He wants to get a job and has been sayingsince he was in the hospital to this day that he wants a job where he can helppeople, maybe in rehab like he has gone through. He has awakened with a God consciousness and is always saying God spared him for a purpose. This is a testimony to the goodness ofGod, and the power of your prayers to make life-saving differences.

On the morning we received news thatKarl was in intensive care and no one knew if he would survive, just minutesbefore I had written on Facebook: “Today I woke with no voice, my throat issore and closed because of flu. It spoke to me of Prov 31:8-9 "Open your mouth for the speechless, Inthe cause of all "sons passing away". Open your mouth, judgerighteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy."

We are voices, one for another. Thank you.

The Messianic Jewish Movement and its Greatest Need Immersion in theHoly Spirit

Early Pentecostalism is associated the immersion in the Spirit withpower for witnessing or sharing the Good News. Acts 1:8 makes this connectionclear. "You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit comes on you, andyou shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and tothe ends of the earth."

....It is important that weMessianic Jews embrace the full import of this. The resistance to the Gospelamong our people is very great and no amount of identification with our peopleand culture, as important as this is, will be sufficient. "We mustdemonstrate the power of God in a Jewish context to the Jewish community atlarge! Would that there was as much of an emphasis on the need for us to befilled with the Spirit and empowered as there is on Jewish calling andauthentic Jewish life in our Messianic Jewish movement! We must pray and seek theLord for revival, and outpourings of the Spirit for every individual and forevery community.

Aswe begin the new year of 2012 I want to take a moment to explain a few thingsto our subscribers about how to use Arrowsfrom Zion and the Weekly Summary ofPrayer Requests from Israel Ministries.

The Arrowsare meant for public distribution. Theyare an intensely edited version reflecting the actual requests that are moredetailed in the Weekly Summary. Firstly, we want to put into your hands abrief arsenal of prayer points that truly reflects what we heard from a widediversity of the Israeli ministries over the previous week. Secondly, we want to strip out of thepublicly distributed Arrows anythingthat could be compromising to the believers if it ended up in the hands ofanti-missionaries. We ask oursubscribers NOT to distribute or forward the Weekly Summary for that reason.

If you are leading a prayer group in intercession for the Israeli ministries,please feel free to speak out the information in the Weekly Summary – but please do not distribute a hard copy in yourprayer groups. Thisweek, we have the usual exquisite mix of soaring spiritual highs and searingspiritual lows – truly as the Paul Wilbur Daysof Elijah song we sing in Messianic congregations all around theworld. We are not afraid of the threatand not lulled by the spiritual highs because Yeshua is with us, and inus.

We take up the admonition of the apostle Paul in Rom 12:12-15 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation;continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Blessthem which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that dorejoice, and weep with them that weep.

PraiseGod for the powerful report of Revive Israel on its recent ministry time in thenation with the world’s largest Muslim population. At a Christmas celebration in a stadiumholding 200,000 native Christians in this eastern nation, a Messianic Jewishminister from Israel rejoiced to see those who gathered to praise God for thebirth of Yeshua.

Having seen many pictures from this gathering, which cannot be shared (“Theimmediate danger is not their being Christian but their connection with Jewsfrom Israel.”), it was clearly a mighty stirring in the Spirit at thisgathering. Pray for the nations of theFar East who are entering into their due season in the purposes of God. To read more on this, see Asher’s teaching, The Churchof the East.

Thereis a window opening in North Korea and soon in Thailand (Siam) whose king alsoappears to be on death’s doorstep, for the gospel to come in. Pray for a breakthrough in evangelism inthese areas and for them to enter into their places as watchmen on the wall forthe full circle of the gospel as it returns to where it started – Israel. Inside the Weekly Summary, Revive Israel offers great prayer points for cominginto agreement with the heart of the LORD for the Korean and Thailand people.

From David Ortiz in Ariel we received an extremelysobering dream he had that we believe is important for the coming year. Please open the Weekly Summary to read in full, but in gist, this is a word ofwarning for those believers who love Israel but avoid the Body of Messiah inIsrael for their own personal interests. Some practical steps from David on how not to be one of the ones he saw in his Dreadful Dream:

- Ps 122;6 Pray for the peace ofJerusalem: "May those who love you be secure”.

- Pray for body of the Lord that lives in Israel.

- Adopt a person, family or congregation in prayer.

- Support businesses and buy things made by believers in Yeshua.

- Request newsletters from credible ministries in Israel so you can stayinformed.

- Support the more than 120 Messianic Congregations which are spread fromthe Northernmost to the Southern-most part of the country.

- Read your Bible, understand history, the economy, up to date events,understand disputes, facts about Israel, past present and future, know who arethe Ethnic groups and religions that live here.

Eachweek Israelprayer brings prayerrequests from Israeli ministries large and small. For the smaller ministries, they are oftendoing critical ministry labors but without the outside funding and backing oflarger ministries. Prayingthe Headlines

Prayfor wisdom for Israeli leaders as Hamas and the PA have entered into anagreement that some Israelis believe represents a valid adjustment that could yielda ceasefire….but other Israelis point out the continued declaration of Hamasleaders is their “Goal is destruction of Israel in Stages.” Pray for wisdom to prevail over wishfulthinking.

Yet again the divide between the religious and secular in Israel is at a feverpitch with many of the Israeli newspapers discussing the increase of Harediviolence and conducting itself as a law unto itself. We walk a fine line in this issue because wemust recognize the reality of this ugly and even dangerous religious conduct –yet keep ourselves positioned to petition for their very souls to be snatchedfrom the fire and transferred to the kingdom of Light. Pray that these incidents will awaken manyChristians who make the wrong assumption that religious unsaved Israel isrighteous in its own right. Pray for itto be a wake up call to connect with the true righteous remnant in Israel – theBody of Messiah.

No matter what darkness may loomover the world on the 2012 horizon each one of us who belong to Yeshua can restin full trust that we are loved and continuously watched over for good and notfor evil by our Abba. When we are not fearful for our own safety,that is when Yeshua’s light shines out most brightly into the darkness.

Mysense is that 2012 will be the “due season” that many of us will see familymembers we have stood for a long time drawn to that light of Yeshua in us. Along with them will come friends, neighborsand strangers who are able to see the light even from afar. We do not need to be in dread of the darknessthat surely will come; we just need plenty of oil for our lamps to burn.

The central idea behind Israelprayeris to give subscribers a more intimate exposure to the diversity of ministries touchinglives in Israel in the name of the Lord Yeshua. Some of you may be familiar with one or two Israeli ministries, and someof only the largest, but Israelprayerseeks to shine a light on just how many Jewish and Arabic ministries are livingsacrificial lives in order to reach their people with the gospel. Take advantage of this season when many aresharing overviews of their ministries inside the Weekly Summary.

There is more exchange between Israeli Messianic Jews and the believersfrom Muslim nations that most of the Church is aware of. These contacts go on under the radar of most– but nothing is more encouraging spiritually as when former enemies canmeeting together as brothers in the Messiah. We rejoice with the report from one such contact that as much as 10% ofthe Iranian population now believes in Jesus. Thank you, Lord for revealing Yeshua in Muslim nations!

Thank God this same type of exchange goes on within Israel and thePalestinian-controlled areas between Yeshua-believing Jews and Arabs. It is an amazing testimony we hear from somany different ministries in the Land – the power of Yeshua’s love to breakdown barriers and release forgiveness. Pray for each of the indigenous ministries that hold a priority toexpress “the reconciliation we have through the cross, even though our peoplescontinue to be in a perpetual state of hostility with each other.”

Pray for those who are negotiating the really tough questions that are posedwhen believing Arabs and Jews are drawn together. As one Jewish lady wrote this week, “theArabs of the Territories (the Palestinian Authority), have largely imbibed(from the Western Church) a replacement theology which leaves no room for theJews and in some cases hates them! Interestingly enough, it is those whoconvert from Islam who are most supportive of Israel. Pray for a revealing from Heaven of God’sposition on these highly charged issues.

Meanwhile anarchy in the Jewish settlements is growing at a rate that israising alarms in Israel that a civil war will divide Jews in Israel as in thedays of Kings and Chronicles. Will thefailure of Israeli officials to rein in extremism especially in the religioussettler youth, again the divided kingdoms of Israel and Judea? This is a matter to take up in prayer – andhow many misguided Christian Zionists will lend support?

One ministry in the territories writes: “Weseriously need prayer, and ask you to consider praying with us, that theseyoung people will change their ways. However, we know that without a change ofheart, their actions will not change. Please pray that they would have a'Damascus road' experience, that their lives would be changed forever, and thattheir zeal would be for serving the King of Israel.”

Pray over the Israeli ministries – as well as those operating in Muslim nations– the prayer of Act 4:29-30 “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: andgrant unto Your servants, that with all boldness they may speak Your word, Bystretching forth Your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done bythe name of Your holy child Yeshua.” Let2012 be a year that Sonship is declared with all boldness and the family ofYeshua be enlarged throughout the Middle East.

Pray for the peacemakers in Israel and in the territories – who stick theirnecks out to take down the temperature of intense relationship between Arabsand Jews. Pray for safety – angels ofthe LORD to encamp about them.

Pray for the heads of households who are following Yeshua as Messiah “to enterback into their place of authority as leaders, given to them by Yeshua andcovering of their respective family. Pray for those men who are drifting awayfrom the Lord bringing danger to their wives and children that they will comeback to their first love and be set free from the lies of the enemies andtemptations of this world.”

Pray for the families of the believing community in Israel and theterritories. So many are struggling, inneed of jobs, and suffering the stress overload that comes with not havingenough to meet the family needs. Congregations across Israel are doing humanitarian aid both within theirown membership as well as to the outside communities. Pray for more of the Christian contributionsto Israel which numbers in the billions to be channeled instead toward the Bodyof Messiah in Israel for ministering in the name of Yeshua.

Pray as one ministry leader requested this week, “More important than any otherrequest, please pray for our family, that each one of us would have a vibrantconnection with Yeshua. Pray that His presence would be close and that we wouldgrow into the vessels that He wants us to be.”

One rehab ministry reports that it is thankful that it has pulled through ahard economic year while seeing 3 other rehab ministries forced to close theirdoors. As the famous unsaved rabbi who collects the Lion’s share of Christian donationsfor Israel says, “This should not be.” Those who are following Yeshua and ministering in His Name, these arethe 100-fold return investment in Israel. (Mt 13:23)

Pray for all those mentioned this week by the ministry leaders – some in theirown families, some in their congregations – in battle against deadly diseases. Like Carolyn Hyde over whose life wasdeclared, “You shall live and not die, and declare the works of the LORD,”speak this word over each of them to be raised up fully health restored and aliving testimony to Yeshua’s power to save and deliver.

The unsaved sister of a Messianic Jew in the north of Israel died suddenly andthe family is swamped with grief. Prayfor the Holy Spirit’s comfort to engulf this Messianic brother and his entirefamily to taste and see that the LORD is good.

A dear Messianic lady in Nahariya has lost an old friend who she had prayed formany years. She asks prayer for threeother of her “three old ladies” to come at long last to the knowledge of theSon of God. This is also the prayer request of many of the ministries who dooutreach among the Holocaust survivors. Time is drawing short - pray the LORDwould reveal His Son and draw them into that eternal DOOR.

Pray for the teens who met earlier this week in the annual Katzir Chanukahcamp. Pray for the seeds planted in thistime away together to blossom into magnificent fruit in the lives of theseyoung people – abiding fruit that will remain to make them be all the LORDmeans for them to be.

Several of the Israeli ministries have a eye toward encouraging Messianic Jewsand also traditional Jews to ‘make aliyah’ – to return to the Jewish homelandas prophecy indicates will continue to happen to the end. While we encourage everyone to seek the LORDfor their own timing, we believe it is the LORD beckoning Jews back to the Landof Promise – promises yet to be fulfilled to “all Israel”.

This month it was announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu willbe hosting a regular Bible study in his residence for “researchers, publicofficials, and invited guests.” A fewdays ago, the Queen of England also surprised many in her annual Christmasaddress by bringing a strong gospel message to her people and an emphasis onfamily and the commonwealth. Israelprayer takes both of these developmentsas spiritually significant position statements by heads of state of our need todraw together in our families and our faith in the coming year.

On Nov 22 the Knesset officially thanked a Messianic Jew and formally honoredevangelical Christians for their support of Holocaust survivors. “Surely as members of government opened theirhearts, doors were opened in the spirit realm, bringing the nation closer tothe day when the Name of Yeshua will no longer be a curse word among His ownpeople…. It was amazing to experience the Presence of God in the halls ofgovernment.” These are the days ofElijah….

Israelprayerknows of three Israeli ministries (Eitan, Uzi & Ron) who are currentlyengaged in writing or final edits of books the LORD has put on theirhearts. Pray for each of these writersto be filled with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to complete the works theLORD has put in their hearts. Pray forthe discipline of writing to betransformed into deeply motivated driveto set down into words all the overflow of their hearts. (Pray also for me asthe Lord has given me a book to write!)

Congregations are multiplying in Israel as mother congregations are birthingnew works and God is stirring in the hearts of others to begin prayer walkingareas He is giving them for the planting of new congregations. Pray for the Lord’s timing and favor on eachof this new works – and provision by the vision-Giver!

Training for leadership is a prayer request we have seen grow over the pastseveral years among all the Israeli ministries. Thank God for those who are developing leadership conferences within theIsraeli Body (Thank you Maoz!) and also for the networks of relatedcongregations who are raising up resources for all facets of ministry,including the prayer and praise ministries. The LORD be upon these resource providers – with abundant resources tofill the need.

Please continue to pray for open doors for those who are ministering in thename of Yeshua to go through. Whilethese is much persecution and even much financial lack among these smallerministries, they are faithful to do what God has called them to do and faithfulwith what God has put in their hands to work with. Pray for Zev a street evangelist who givesaway Bibles and for Brian who feeds the needy on the streets of Netanya and TelAviv.

Pray for those who minister to “the widow and the fatherless” – the singleparents and the battered and abused. AsPsalm 68:7 says, "God restores the lonely into homes." It is the most deeply wounded that requirethe most spiritual mothering and fathering to be restored to wholeness. Pray for these who lay down their own privacyto open family doors those God wants to make strong & vibrant – against allthe odds the world would give them to be made new. Speaking abundant provision to meet the need,in the Name of Yeshua!

Pray for the pro-Life movement in Israel – for all the ministers in all thecongregations throughout the land who are making a difference in saving thelives of the unborn….as well as those who are ministering to those who areshattered from taking the lives of their unborn in abortions. They LORD we serve is a forgiver and calls usto release forgiveness into lives being destroyed by sins the world callsconvenience.

Pray for those who have recently expanded with purchasing new congregationalbuildings, or those in progress of acquiring new congregational locations. Pray about investing Israeli ministriestowards buildings and properties they can own (and not be put out of whenanti-missionaries lean on landlords).

As one ministry wrote this week, “There are many still left in darkness- the darkness of poverty and the darkness of despair. We all have much morework to do to fulfill Yeshua's high calling…. Knowthat with every gift you send to Israel(i ministries), "Light is sown likeseed for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart" (Psalm 97:11).”

Recently there have been exchanges between the believers in Israel andbelievers in German and in Asian nations. Both of these are significant connections that will impact the testimonyof the Body in Israel in the world. Prayfor the LORD’s will in these exchanges to be fully realized.

It takes only one good eye to see that war(s) may be bubbling on a slowboil in the Middle East. Pray for theIsraeli believers “for an increased sensitivity to the Holy Spirit to hear whatGod is saying…as we are quite on the front line.”

MazelTov to Ami Ortiz – the walking miracle of God – who has been accepted to a U.S.college where he will also be playing on the basketball team. Ami, as most of our subscribers know, is theyoung man who miraculously survived a direct bomb blast when he opened a Purimgift basket that had been left at the family doorstep in 2008. The LORD preserved Ami’s life and betweenover a dozen surgeries and the healing power of Yeshua, he is going on and upin his life.

Meanwhile,the bomber, a religious settler zealot who admitted he was working with YadL’Achim the anti-missionary group, has finally been declared mentally fit tostand trial. That trial is expected to get underway in the next few weeks. Please keep the proceedings in prayer. There is great reluctance to hold religious persecutorsto account.

There are lots of photographs and plenty ofbackground to understand why this case is so important to the believers inIsrael.

This year the Hanukkah and Christmas season overlap. Hanukkah begins at sunset on Tuesday,December 20, 2011, and ends at sunset on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. A ministry that especially ministers to widows, single parents and fatherlesschildren in Israel brings a message and an opportunity to bless those in needin Israel with your “Hanukkah gelt” this year. The blessing will come in the form of much needed clothing or warmblankets for winter.

Pray for the Israeli leader who will be ministering alongside his son next weekin a Muslim nation. Pray forbreakthrough as well as supernatural protection.

In the coming days many outreaches will be happening across Israel revolvingaround the Haunkkah season. Howard Bassasks for prayers to be made that “believers in Yeshua in Israel tohonor HIM more than the Maccabees during this time of year.” Traditions are good, but honoring Yeshua isbest.

Zev Porat also asks for prayers of intercession to be made for their outreachesduring Hanukkah. Porat asks that “thelight of Yeshua will shine on the Jewish people and bring them to the wonderfulsalvation, Yeshua the Messiah.” We canall add our hearty AMEN! Of agreement to this desire.

Pray for those who are incarcerated in Israeli prisons, and for those MessianicJews who visit as Yeshua instructed. Howard Bass asks for prayers for 8 prisoners in the Beer Sheva prison,for the visitations to them to be an encouragement and helpful in bringinggodly change into their lives that will be a testimony to others in the system.

Speak blessings over all those who move out of their comfort zone to reach outto those who are spiritually drowning in their lives and in danger ofperishing. The problems of people inthis degree of danger are not often easy to deal with – like the demonized manin Gadera whom everyone avoided but Yeshua touched and set free. Pray for each one that has allowed God toincrease their capacity to love by staying steadfast in ministry. Pray also for the LORD to shield this fromattacks from the enemy to protect the health of these effective lavorers in theharvest.

We alsoneed to be on prayer alert over the coming holidays. Over the past several years, during thedistraction of the holidays many disasters and other attacks occur. If you will read just a few of the developingnews stories we’ve included in the Praying the Headlines section, you cansee that there are already increasing indications of some significant clashesbrewing in the Middle East that will not only affect Israel but also the UnitedStates. Should events erupt, we will sendout special prayer focus over the holidays.

Whetherwe celebrate a traditional Hanukkah or a traditional Christmas, it seems thatthe big challenge in the Body of Messiah is granting each other the grace toobserve this season as our own conscience convicts us. Pray that we would enter a new level of gracewith each other during this season where the emphasis truly is upon the Lightthat has shined into the darkness of each our lives and joined us together foreternity.

At thetop of almost everyone’s prayer list are the concerns about Iran entering thefinal stages of developing nuclear weapons. Not far behind that is the threaton nearly every side of potential regional outbreaks of war againstIsrael. All this and next week theQuartet Quartet – US, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations plansto meet Dec. 14 in Jerusalem in another effort to revive the Israel-Palestinian peaceprocess.

As one Israeli wrote: “We are asking forprayer for wisdom for our leaders and the strength to step back from the brinkof war. However, if this is God's will, then for favor to be shown to Israel andits allies and that we all would be kept under the protection of the shadow ofHis wings.”

Intel reports have confirmed that Iran has suffered to major blows inexplosions at nuke plants outside of Tehran and Isfashan. While Iran hasprotested that these were accidental explosions, few in the real world believethat. There are many tools innon-conventional warfare as Asher Intrater writes about this week – not theleast of which is the spiritual warfare that “mobilizes angelic actions, preachingthe gospel that changes lives, reconciliation among the saints, dividing theforces of Satan”. Join the battle.

Pray for all the believers who are serving in the IDF and in all dangerousplaces. Pray for their families whoworry over their young who are protecting the nation of Israel. God grant them to be mighty in valor andsensitive to even Your whisper of guidance.

Evenin the midst of great uproar in all the Middle East – in Egypt, Syria, Iraq,Iran, Pakistan – there is a move of God going on under the radar. It is a mighty weapon of warfare that Muslimsin all these nations may see Yeshua and be saved. Let us not forget to pray for these enemiesof Israel – and for many to come to the knowledge of the Messiah.

We are to have radical faith, but when you see extremism it is sure proof offalse religion. Pray for many extremistof Islam to be delivered from captivity of false religion. But pray also for those who are bound inJewish Israel by false religious extremism to be set free too. Many of us don’t realize Jewish extremismexists in Israel, but it does and the darkness is very dark indeed. Pray for the Light to dawn in many heartsover this season.

Many are sensing the urging of the Spirit to move deeper into our faith and tostir ourselves up on our most holy faith. Pray that during this month which celebrate Light in both the Hanukkahand Christmas celebrations, that we will indeed be drawn into greater realms ofHis glorious Light and prepared by the knowledge of Him for the race that isset before each of us.

Please pray for the families of each of the ministry leaders in Israel. Like all of us, these leaders have families –fathers, mothers, children, siblings, in-laws, relatives close and relativesestranged. Each one would tell you asthey labor in the LORD’s harvest among neighbors and strangers, pouring outtheir lives to minister in the name and power of Yeshua that their heart’sdesire is that their own families would come to know Yeshua and grow up strongin the Spirit. What a hearteningencouragement when this becomes a reality! Pray also for those relatives who are at death’s door – that they wouldenter eternity in faith passing through the Door of the sheep.

Throughout Israel leaders are training the infrastructure of leaders underthem. Dan Juster writes this week aboutthe need for strong infrastructure in ministries. Maoz Israel has just completed a LeadershipTraining Seminar for Israeli congregational leaders. Pray for the Israeli ministries as the Bodyis building in Israel. Pray for strong relationships to be built in the couplesand families who are being raised up to serve.

December is a month that we all receive requests from the ministries we connectwith for Year End Giving. All ministrieshave taken a hit because of the economy, but I would like to encourage each ofyou to prioritize your year end giving toward Israeli ministries. These are most often the least funded and asDan Juster writes, their own infrastructure – the expenses of running theirministries – is the least funded of all! Pray about how God would have you bless Israeli ministries this month.

In Carmel, David Davis reports that in the last 20 years they have seen newcongregations springing up all over northern Israel. While the northern border is extremelydangerous, that even though “We dwell in the land of the shadow of death, but uponus the true Light is shining brightly among Jewish believers and ArabChristians.” Pray for thesecongregations to light up the darkness surrounding – and to demonstrate thepeace and brotherhood only Yeshua brings.

In the north there are many Druze communities that are being ministeredto. In the south there are many Bedouin the desert ministries are reaching. There are Ethiopian refugees finding refugeamong the Messianic Jews, and Arab pastors sharing the good news of Yeshua withJewish women on holidays. Pray for each of these who really stick their necksout to minister to the needy hearts in their paths and communities. This is Yeshua’s love walking again on thepaths of Israel.

Karen Davis of the congregation in Carmel is recording her new album, “Songs inthe Night.” Shani Ferguson is doing avideo for her “Garden of Secrets” album. Pray for both of them to complete their projects with all the excellencein their hearts and for the LORD to use both mightily.

Eddie and Lura Beckford have been enjoying their freedom since Eddie was freedfrom a 3-year house arrest that came from many false charges against him byultra-Orthodox persecutors in Arad. Eventhough the court cases are over, the Beckfords are still dealing with the courtcosts while also working with the Jerusalem Institute of Justice to secureEddies permanent residency and citizenship status confirmed. Pray for the finances to wrap up thisbusiness.

Pray also for the financies to fulfill the Beckford’s vision for acommunity center in Arad to host all the area believers who have no meeting places,but are like spiritual gypsies meeting in houses in bad weather and in the parkin good weather. Even though Arad hasbeen a hot bed of anti-Messiah persecution for many years there are manydiverse groups of believers in this small city: one Arabic house church, 2Russian-speaking, a Spanish home group and the Hebrew congregation pastured bythe Figueras. There are also Bedouincoming to the Lord.

Speaking of the Figueras who have a family of six beautiful children, the localHasidics continue to persecute the family – recently telling their 15-year oldson that they needed to kill him and his father who pastors the Hebrewcongregation of Arad. The teenagers whocaptured the threats by recording with his cell phone told them “I’m a proudJew and I believe in Jesus.” Wantedposters for several in the congregation are being posted around town, as wellas posters urging people to join the weekly demonstrations against Arabbelievers. Many Christians are surprised when they find out that the Holy Land is not soholy – secular Israelis are as unholy as the rest of the world. It is also a big surprise when Christiansfind out that many of the religious are not beautifully spiritual people, butdownright ugly religionists. SomeChristians are fine with knowing the secular Israelis can be ungodly heathen, but many do not want to know the depth ofreligious ugliness that comes out of the supposedly most pious of Judaismsects. If you can handle the truth,please read the Figueras comments in bold in the attached Weekly Summary – and pray accordingly.

The Silvers in Carmel are asking prayers for the government of Israel and forthe IDF soldiers, “Pray for our government to have sharp discernment, courage,clarity and wisdom for all decision making, especially in decisions concerningIran. Pray Psalm 91 and Psalm 144:1: Blessed be the Lord my Rock who trains myhands for war and my fingers for battle. My high tower and deliverer, my shieldand the one in whom I take refuge.”

Pray for Israeli ministries who are currently ministering in othernations. Pray for much fruit to come outof the meeting times and easy travels.

Urgent Needs: Life and Death is in the power of the tongue

Please keepin prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their lives against deadlydiseases.
Pray for God’scomplete healing of Meir at Maoz Ministries, T. in Carmel, Sofie Benson inCarmel/House of Victory, Ariela in Arad. We also received a request from Tents of Mercy on Saturday for a motherof 4, who unfortunately died Monday evening. Please pray for her family in this tragic time. Her brother, a member atTents, is the only believer in the family and asks for the salvation of thefamily. One of the woman’s little daughters also needs to be healed.

When David Lazarus wrote about how he wonderedwhy the Christians in the nations were so anxious to hear from Israeli MessianicJews, it made me think that it is surely because of the gift that God hasimparted to Messianic Jews to unwrap for the Church: namely, the giftof understanding the Hebrew thinking that is embedded in every page of the Word of God. We have not had the benefit ofthat missing gift in the Church for all these centuries.

Of course, the Church has gotten a lotof the Bible meaning right, but there are also a lot of places where it is justlike us singing a song we love with all our hearts but singing the blooperlyrics, not the lyric that was written. We’ve all done that – sometimes singing a song lyric that we havemisheard for years on end, then one day finding out what the song lyric reallyis.

Do you see that? In these last days, Messianic Jews – and I believe especiallyIsraeli Messianic Jews – are in a position to be unwrapping for the Church agift God has given them to bless the Church . It is the gift of clarifying theintent of certain words, phrases and passages in the Word of God and sheddinglight on the ‘true lyrics’ for the good of the whole Body of Christ.

As this is happening, it won't be about competitiveness between Jew and Gentilebut it will be about blessing the Bodywith the gifts as God has imparted to each. We are going to be all singing thesame song at some point, and it will be the words as God intended them to besung. I love that. Can we pray in agreement over this?

One of the most vital signs of the life of Yeshua at work in the Body inIsrael is the desire of former enemies – Jew and Arab – to come together topray for each other and the salvation of their peoples. In a far northern coastal city, one such visioncame to life a year and a half ago. Not only have the monthly meetings grown,but they have inspired similar prayer gatherings in other regions of northernIsrael. Pray for these saints tocontinue to be built up together in John 17 unity.

Be encouraged as you read of the Arab pastor sharing the good news with threeJewish ladies during Succot at the “Tent of Peace” in Old City Akko. All three of the ladies prayed to receiveJesus. A Jewish man from Jerusalem alsoreceived Yeshua. Pray that in returningto their own cities that the LORD will divinely connect them with otherbelievers in Yeshua, and the seed having been planted will continue to bewatered, grow & bloom.

Pray for the newly planted daughter congregation of the Acco Baptist church ina neighboring village. What began as a bible study has blossomed into a churchplant and some of the “mainline churches” in the area are persecuting the newchurch with intimidation, lies and strong threats. Often these denominationsmembers are born into, but not spiritually born into – therefore, like Paulwrote in Galatians 4:29: “he that was born after the flesh persecuted him thatwas born after the Spirit.” Pray forAbba to cover over this new work under His protective wings.

Acco is a poor city – but also a key city spiritually, according to biblical andhistorical indications. Two pastors inthat city, one Arab and one Jewish, have very big visions for raising up strongfamilies in their congregations. Providing schools and other facilities to expand the ministries tocongregants is key for both pastors. Pray that God would send them helpers to establish the visions God hasplaced in their hearts.

One of the second generation of Israeli ministry leaders writes this month, “LookHow Far We’ve Come” noting, “The late 70’s in Israel were as much about thebirthing of the modern Messianic movement in Israel as anything else. The Jewish belief in Yeshua had gone into afigurative exile as Jewish people lived in literal exile. This all began tochange once Israel was reborn.” Tolearn more, open the Weekly Summaryattachment.

Music was a major component of the Sixties & Seventies Hippiegeneration which gave rise to the Jesus Movement, the Messianic Movement andContemporary Christian Music. Yeshua’sIsrael talks about how growing up with those dynamics in Israel has led to avibrant Israeli believer youth culture – and their own music ministry which youcan have a part in reaching Israelis with them. Pray for the video they areproducing in December to their song “Garden of Secrets”.

While in the U.S. speaking, one of the ministries in Jerusalem were givenpermission for the first time to pray over their elderly mother whose conditionis “gradually weakening and her days on this earth are nearing their end.” Pray for Lillian’s salvation, and for all theelderly parents of Israeli believers, to receive Yeshua while it is still theirday.

While in Germany another Israeli ministry couple was delighted when 80% ofGerman children they were ministering to at a school responded to receive Yeshua. Pray for these young people to grow in faith,and for the German Christians who will follow up in their spiritual growth. Thelady in this ministry suffered a stroke just weeks before this ministry trip. Pray for her full restoration to health andthat no weapon formed against her shall prosper.

For one week Israel received such abundant rain that believers all overIsrael are thanking God for the outpours which are described as torrential. One third of the annual rainfall came in oneweek! Israel has suffered such serious drought for 8 years that more rain isneeded to replenish the nation’s water supply. Pray God will bless Israel with more abundant rain throughout this rainyseason. (And give a parallel spiritualoutpouring, too!)

If you have ever visited Jerusalem, you surely have experienced the powerfulspiritual atmosphere over the city due to the three major religions vying forthe space where God says He has placed His Name. (When I say powerful spiritual atmosphere, Idon’t mean that in a good way.) Pray forthe born again ministries in Jerusalem – that they would be filled with thelife and power of Yeshua, a Light set upon the 7 hills of the city that all maysee His radiance.

Please keep in prayer the Israeli believers who are fighting for their livesagainst deadly diseases. Pray for God’scomplete healing of Meir at Maoz Ministries, T. in Carmel, Ariela in Arad.

Also this week, we are featuring the story of Nadiya whose life since arrivingin Israel from Russia has been an incredible journey of struggle and hardships.This lady whose radiant picture of baptism we have featured before has been ablessing to the hard hit city where she lives, Sderot. Pray for the Israeli Messianic Pro-Life movement which is called Be’adChaim. Many of the congregations acrossIsrael belong to this movement which is led by Sandy Shoshani. If God has especially stirred your heartabout abortion, perhaps you will also be drawn to pray and support the work ofBe’ad Chaim saving lives in Israel.

Kehila.org is a great resource for Israeli Messianics and also for thoseinterested in the Israeli Body. HowardBass’ son-in-law (and new father) Joseph has been operating this onlineresource for many years but recently opened it up to those outside Israel. Read more inside the Weekly Summary.

Another second generation Israeli believer in the Haifa bay region writes thisweek about the rain in Israel with many good insights that will help readersunderstand what they are reading in certain passage of scripture, like Jeremiah2:13 when the prophet speaks of drinking out of cisterns. Stefan relates this to the current spiritualsituation in Israel…and in most of the world. We NEED Living Water.

Last week we introduced an Israeli evangelist who is on the streets daily sharingthe good news, with persecution. Prayfor Zev as he breaks the Bread of Life to Israelis at the direction of the HolySpirit. Read inside as he shares arecent day with his car load of Bibles to give away and talk to people inJaffa. Pray for much need resources forthis work.

Also in Jaffa, an Israeli pastor ponders “why people around the worldare so interested in listening to us” (Israeli Jewish believers). Is this not the gift that God has imparted tothe Jewish part of the Body of Messiah – the gift of understanding the Hebrewthinking that is embedded in every page of the Word of God? Every one of us carries a gift from God forthe rest of the Body. This is surely a major gift the Messianic Jews carry forthe benefit of Christians.

Are you looking for a 3-6 months volunteer ministry opportunity? We have once in the realm of communicationsthat you could even get summer internship credit for. Maybe you need something even shorterterm. We feature those opportunities inthe Weekly Summary too. Praythat those seeking opportunity and those needing extra hands and talent willconnect, for the sake of the gospel in Israel.

WillIsrael attack Iran’s nuclear facilities? (Maybe they already have been delivering softening up blows!) Pray for Israel who has an diverse array ofweapons to de-fang the nuclear arsenal of Iran – but not so much for de-fangingthe curses of the world media against Israel! Pray for wisdom for Israel’s leaders in all they do and in all theyconsider. Pray that Israelis will turnto Yeshua in these days of waning hopes for peace with the neighbors. “Now is the time for salvation in theHouse of Israel!”

Some of the ministries are making preparations to care for the needs of theircommunities in the expectation that war is surely coming. Even this week rockets came over the northernborder into Israel. With the great upheavalsfrom the so-called “Arab Spring” all Israelis are expecting not “IF” but “when”war will break out. Pray for those whoare stocking provisions for such a time to be granted favor and provision.

We learned of two ministries this week that are in need of financial help inthe purchase of a car or van, which are crazy expensive in Israel – as almosteverything else is too. These areministry needs – not extravagances! Prayfor the LORD to move on hearts to help meet these needs.

We have several links to videos and other items that will help you topray over this important ministry that told us, “I have been praying for over 9months for God to send someone to pray for our ministry.”

One thing we can pray for Zev’s ministry right off the bat has to do with thepush-back from the enemy that he gets because he is on the streets seekingthose the Lord shows him to minister to. Persecution can get intense, so pray for Zev as the Holy Spirit leads inthis area.

RonCantor of Messiah’s Mandate also has a request for stepped up prayer for hisministry and family, saying, “…there can be no doubt thatintercession is the most crucial component when it comes to spiritualbreakthrough. I am often asked what our greatest need is here in Israel as aministry. While I can come up with several tangible things that we need here,the truth is OUR GREATEST NEED IS PRAYER PARTNERS.”

Pray for Elana Cantor who was bitten by a tick in October and still needscomplete and total healing and a restoration of her strength. Also, Ron is wrapping up on a new book, Identity Theft—How Yeshua was Robbed of His Jewishness. See the videoclip here.

Continue prayers for Ariela in Arad undergoing exhausting radiation treatments,and also for the ministry in the north who will undergo a biopsy for a growthon the 27^th – for complete healing for both of these saints.

Maoz Ministries in Tel Aviv will be sponsoring a 2-day leadership conferencethat pastors and leaders from all over Israel will attend. Pray for a powerful impartation and time ofrefreshing for all involved.

Recently a Saudi Prince offered a substantial reward to any terroristwho can kidnap an Israeli soldier. Prayfor all the IDF soldiers, but especially lift up all the Messianic communitywho are serving their nation in the military.

AsherIntrater in Jerusalem draws our attention to recent statistics released aboutIsraeli children that highlight the growing rift between secular and religiousIsrael. 28% of Israeli school childrengo to ultra-Orthodox Jewish schools because the birth rate of religious Jews ismuch higher than secular. Intraterwrites, “Given that many of the ultra-orthodox do not work, paytaxes, serve in the army or support the government of Israel, this statisticpoints to a looming crisis about to crash into Israeli society, politics, andeconomics.” Israel needs a revelation ofMessiah on every level!

Pray for the project which cannot be detailedyet – that the LORD would make straight their path and give them favor in everyplace.

The second special request is from the Vienna Messianic Mission who areproducing another Holocaust documentary, preserving the testimonies ofsurvivors and repentant Nazis for the purpose of keeping the memories of theHolocaust alive, and to foster reconciliation and healing. Pray for these Messianics of Austria – for theirdocumentary and for the lives they will touch for Yeshua.

In the news this week, Asher Intrater brings attention to the reported responseof the Norwegian foreign minister as responding to Saudi Arabia's request lastyear to build a Mega Mosque: "When the day comes that you will receive adonation to build a church in Saudi Arabia, we will receive your donation tobuild a mosque in Norway."

In contrast, a reliable source on the rising Crescent tide in Europe, SoerenKern, writes that there is a Danish mega-mosque that is funded by Iran goingup. While Europe is in the throes ofbattle against Islamist takeover, Americans don’t even have this on theirradar. Pray for Europeans and Americansto rise up and fight this fight – it is not religious intolerance, but anaggressive – though stealth - spiritual warfare.

The gospel was sent out west in the beginningand is now continuing west from the Far East back into the HEART of the MiddleEast – Israel. How awesome and blessedare our Eastern brothers and sisters in this hour!

Prayfor Eitan Shishkoff and son as they travel to participate in The Asia MessianicForum in four cities of Japan and Korea. Pray with them over this opportunity to share the IsraeliMessianic heart with them and to link the emerging Messianic community ofIsrael with the awesome gospel awakening that is sweeping the Asian continent!

Shishkoff also asks prayer for the newly instituted intensive leadershiptraining seminars for the young adult and youth workers who work in the Katzir Messianicyouth camps during the year. Eitan seesthis as key to reaching the teens through the strength and experience of the youngadult team. The next Katzir camp isduring Chanukah, Dec 25-27 and this year will be held (fittingly) near Modi’in –the site of the Maccabees HQ during their epic struggle.

From friends in the Negev we learned this week that five families who have beenfriends of theirs across Israel have left the faith and returned to OrthodoxJudaism. Some of those with childrenthat they have “repented” to for sharing Yeshua with them. One reason this happens is thatbecause life is so difficult – especially in Israel – so the enemy is able totake advantage of the hardship to bring in bitterness. Pray for these individuals and families whoare like the one sheep that has been lured off into the dangerous unprotected territory. Ask Yeshua that they may be returned into thefold and know the depth of the Father’s love despite their fall.

Thisreminded us of the report filed by David and Leah Ortiz on Oct 19, how a formerbeliever in Yeshua is now handling applications to a college program forlearning Hebrew and warning all applicants that if they talk to others aboutYeshua or attend Messianic congregations – specifically mentioning the Ortizcongregation – that their visas will be revoked! Several leading and virulentanti-missionaries are themselves former believers in Yeshua. These are in the gall of the root ofbitterness – but not beyond the reach of a true taste of the goodness of God.

ThankGod our friend Carolyn Hyde is recovering from the stroke she suffered,although has had a few small setbacks since the stroke. Please continue to pray for this dearpsalmist of Israel – also that she find the right balance between ‘full speedahead’ and the need to rest and recharge. Pray for their vision to plant a new congregation in the region of thefirst kibbutz in the early 1900’s in the Galilee.

Pray also for their upcoming ministry trip to Germany where they will be inboth meeting and schools! This opportunity that German partners will follow upin discipleship for students.

Holocaust survivors have become the special care and concern of the Return toZion congregation in Haifa which hosted a large group of survivors during therecent Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot. They also made an open-house sukkah in aplace where street people came in for hospitality – oftentimes after their morningmethadone treatment! RTZhosted its first 2-yr graduation ceremony in their Haifa Theological Institutewhich is accredited through the New Geneva Theological Seminary. Pray for these equipping of the saints inIsrael to be fruitful in abundance. Thecongregation is also near the final stages of purchasing a building. Pray for agood conclusion to the deal.

In the Negev, Pastor Bass reports the 5^th Annual Negev Conferencefor all the congregations of the desert region was a great success. The theme this year was “Spiritual Maturityunto Godliness.” Pray for all those whoattended – and especially for the event coordinator, Eduardo Silveira, whoseministry support system has gone through unsettling changes over the pastyear.

The two speakers for the conference, Yoyakim Figueras and Labib Madanat, eachshared how the LORD has been stretching them in the conflicts each faced as aMessianic Jew and an Arab Christian. Pray for these men and the lives that are touched by their witness inhard situations.

The Figueras also write with a follow up request for their congregant Arielawho has begun the exhaustion of radiation therapy. She is in isolation and they ask you pray forthe Lord’s presence to be with her. Askalso for every need to be met.

We have received in the last minute a prayer request from friends who ministerto Druze youth in northern Israel that the husband of the ministry team wouldlike prayers over a growth that will be biopsied on the 27^th. Pray for total healing and for opportunity tobe a witness while at the hospital.

Alsoat the last minute before mailing this update, we made contact with a Tel Avivstreet ministry who writes, “I have been praying for over 9 months forGod to send someone to pray for our Ministry.” We will have more in the way of an introduction to Zev’s ministry nextweek, but please pray for the Salvation For Israel ministry on the streetsdaily with much persecution and much fruit!

Whose ministry is not struggling in the realm of finances? That is why this word from the Carmel congregation speaks for all as thepriority prayer focus for the week:

A Place Called “The Lord WillProvide”
“As it is said to this day, ‘In the Mountof the Lord it shall be provided’ ” (Gen 11:14).

Many years ago, the Lord gave us this promise from His word which we have beenstanding on. He assured us that if we would take our eyes off the seeminglyimpossible situations and look up to Him, He would provide. He has been faithful to fulfill this word tous.

We need to view our ministries, Israeland the surrounding Islamic nations from God’s point of view through the lensof His Word. In the art of filmmakingthe term “P.O.V” is used to refer to the placement of the camera which providesthe point of view of the scene. We needto lift our eyes and look from God’s “P.O.V.” through the lens of His Word andpromises.

“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts upmy head” - Psa 140:13 -

Ittakes material support to run a ministry – all ministries. I just want to put a gentle reminder outthere that in this economy all ministries are experiencing the stretch to makeends meet. Please remember the Israeliministries who are especially overlooked in the grand scheme of Jewish andChristian giving toward Israel.

The apostle Paul was really clear in his word to the Romans on this: For if the Gentiles have beenpartakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them inmaterial things. Romans 15:27

We stand with those who are standing on the promises: “Blessedis he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. TheLORD will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth”(Psalm 41:1-2). One third of Israeli families living under the povertyline and all the ministries are sharing from what they have.

Thank God for the rains that have begun to replenish Israel! Pray for continued abundant rain.

Mazeltov to Joseph and Rotem Magan who welcomed Aviyah Sarah into the world on Nov2. Howard and Randi Bass are one set ofdelighted grandparents. Congrats ya’ll!

Several births in the Tel Aviv Tiferet Yeshua congregation as well. There has been a super ‘crop’ of births amongthe young Israeli Messianics lately across the country. Thank God for these little ones and thosestill waiting to be delivered. (What apicture of the spiritual climate as well!) Pray also for the Arab lady in Acco who has not been able to getpregnant, that she would have a child and it would be a witness to her after beingprayed for.

Wealso join in with the Beer Sheva congregation than none from the Body ofMessiah have been injured in the barrage of rockets from Gaza that shut downIsrael’s southern cities for three days last week. Please pray for all of the area residents tobe Divinely Protected by the Armies of the LORD.

Pray also for Tents of Mercy and Hands of Mercy doing humanitarian aid to theshell-shocked Sderot citizens and to terror victims. This group is right in the target zoneadministering aid, comfort, support and prayer. They ask prayer for two elderly ladies recovering from serious traumaand surgery – Hadad and Zorah; also for Rachael who has internal injuries andsevere trauma from rocket attacks. Prayfor the family of Ami Moshe, the husband and father whose life was lost lastweek.

Please continue to press in for healing for Sofie Benson, the wife ofEric Benson, director of House of Victory. She has been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer, but we are believing forher complete healing. “He sent His word and healed them” (Psalm 107:30).

The pastor in Arad asks for prayers for congregant Ariela who has asecondary cancer growth after receiving successful bone-marrow transplant. Ariela is a mother of 4 (triplets +1 younger)and is not fully covered for recovery expenses after her radiation therapy. Herbody cannot handle any more chemo. Please pray for this woman – and if you are able to help materially,please open the Weekly Summary for more information on the needs and how tomeet them.

Pray for the young son with Down’s Syndrome of a Bethlehem man that a ministryin the north has been ministering to for some time. The son needs a heart operation and this dearlady is trying to connect them with an organization that brings children fromthe West Bank and Gaza to Israel for treatment. Pray for the new contact shewas able to make for this man with believers in his town, also.

Thisprayer request from a Messianic pastor in the Negev to pray for Araband Palestinian believers. I have hadrecent discussions with some key leaders, and they have reduced the faith inpractice, if not in their "heart of hearts", to making the life oftheir people better in this world only. May the Lord intervene in us all to bring about the unity and the lovefor which our Savior prayed.

AsherIntrater shares – for your discernment – an insight hesensed recently in prayer that relates to the real coming together in unity ofthe Church and the Messianic Body of Messiah. The same day Ireceived Asher’s prayer letter, I heard two other unrelated Jewish ministriessharing a similar message – each with a little different insight leading to thesame conclusion. One is also includedinside the Weekly Summary, that of Victor Kalisher of the Bible Society of Israel– “Church,Israel Called to Mutual Ministry”.

What a blessed report from a northern congregation that is reaching around3,000 Israelis with the gospel through Hebrew-language internetoutreaches. Pray for the spirit of revelationto be released upon these seekers after truth. Truly the harvest is ripe!

ThankGod for the ministry in the north that has been able to move into newfacilities and for the congregation growing beyond “a few older folk” to the “pitter-patterof little feet”. New life the blessingfor one of Israel’s pioneers of believers in the Land, who writes: Themeetings seem to be growing, and always new people are coming…. Many from thecongregation also still come to my house, including some of the Arabs andLebanese!

Another ministry in the north asks prayer to be made for Israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu for the critical decisions that are set before him indealing with Iran’s nuclear capacity are decisions with impact on the wholeworld. Pray for wisdom, courage andstrength. This friend also offered thisinsight from the Lord in prayer: weneed to be as bold in prayer about this situation with Iran as David wasagainst Goliath in his words and action. We need to come against the enemy,stand strong in the face of overwhelming odds and be certain of the strength ofour God.

Two ultra-Orthodox inArad were arrested after being caught on a cell phone recording threatening theteenage sons of the Arad pastor that they were going to come back that nightand murder the pastor and a tourist visiting them. Police do not usually make arrests, but werebound by the taped threat. It is not clear if charges will proceed to court.

Shira Sorko-Ram brought our attention back to a vision Rick Ridings of SuccatHallel shared back in September because the time frame spoke of is thisweekend: 11-11-11 the economic future of the nations will be decided as the nationscast their votes in the matter of Palestinian statehood. Shira suppliesinformation on where the nations stand at this time for specific prayer overthem and advises there is much warfare in the heavenlies over this.

While President Obama and Sarkozy shared mutual dislike for Israeli PrimeMinister Netanyahu, Israeli citizens were readying themselves for the regionalexplosion all Israelis are expecting. Large scale civil defense exercises were held to prepare the public formissile attacks in central Israel and for chemical attacks. Neither the leader of the U.S. nor Franceholds a candle to the weight the Israeli PM carries on his shoulders. The Lordrebuke them!

This weekend there are two major prayer events being held in the U.S. – The Callin Detroit and A Line in the Sand/Rose Bowl gathering in Pasadena, CA. Pray that the Holy Spirit will prompt intercessionson behalf of Israel – that the LORD of the Armies of Heaven would lead theseintercessions.

Pray for the Yad Hashmonah Messianic kibbutz which is in court defending itselfagainst a “sexual discrimination” lawsuit for denying a gay couple theirfacility to celebrate their marriage. This is lawfare being used against the only Messianic kibbutz in Israeland to hear the charges, one would think Messianics were waging a war on thehomosexual community as the ultra-Orthodox do. Pray over this case. We have not seen much on it because rarely doreports come in English.

In another case where a Greek Orthodox priest punched out an ultra-Orthodoxstudent for spitting at him, the judge made a rare ruling favoring thepriest. Why? Because this spitting thing is so out ofcontrol and the police do nothing about it. We are believing God for these persecutors to come to faith, but thereis nothing wrong with acknowledging that their conduct is lawless andevil. Pray that we would be able to hatethe sin, while loving the sinners – all of us, not just Messianic Jews.

This week, Israelprayer begins with a video clip from MosabHasan Yousef delivering the keynote address at the Israel Congress inFrankfurt, Germany. It is an importantspeech and Yousef clearly put his life in danger from Islamists by making it. We urge you to watch the video and also topray for this young man who defected from the faith of his father, a foundingspiritual imam for Hamas.

Earlier in the year, Mosab was under a criticalspotlight for his answers in Arabic news interviews. If Mosab said questionable things in thoseinterviews, in the Frankfurt gathering he publicly crossed the point of noreturn in declaring his love for Israel and his inside knowledge that Hamas isa terrorist organization.

This also highlights the difficult place for born again Palestinian/ArabChristians in Israel. We talk about someof those issues for the sake of prayerguidance in intercessions for the entire Body of Messiah in Israel, Araband Jew. The practical difficulties arehuge to those in the Israeli Body who are pressing into the kingdom – and intoour one-ness in Messiah that exceeds all politics. Last week the Messianic humanitarian aid group in Sderot took a hit when a vancame crashing through the doors of the front of the ministry center….theministry leader had just come through those same doors only secondsearlier. Hands of Mercy & Tents ofVictory ministries are thanking God for miraculous protection.

Then acouple of days later, the rockets from Gaza began to fall on Sderot and thesurrounding Negev countryside. Onedirect hit on a home was deadly for a father of several children and otherswere critically injured. Then the New York Timesran an Op-Ed by Richard Goldstone (of the infamous Goldstone Report) callingout the “Russell Tribunal on Palestine” hearing “on whether Israel isguilty of the crime of apartheid.”

We agree with our South African prayer warriors that prayers should be liftedup for the Jews in Cape Town, as well as the spiritual forces arraying against Israel in South Africa.
